Chapter 35: Interview Arguments

November 17th

Michael's POV

"Michael. You gotta ditch that chick. She's no good." This random guy said to me as we both walk next to each other down the crowded hallway.

It's early in the morning and I just got off the bus and now I'm in school. Today I'm not feeling it. I've been up all night watching that damn interview show Latoya forced me to watch!

"For the millionth time, no! I will not break up with her not matter what you say!" I slammed my backpack against my locker and quickly did my code to unlock my locker.

I can't believe Ariel just goes on tv and says stuff about Kaitlyn! Now everybody is fussing at me, saying that I should break up with Kaitlyn all because of what Ariel said last night.

I'll have a little talk with her soon hopefully about this....

I wish she never showed up at that interview then everything would be fine and normal and no one would be complaining about me dating Kaitlyn.

I stuffed my backpack in my locker angrily and snatched a few books out of my backpack while the guy watched me and whispered something to his friends.

If she's all mad and jealous that I'm dating Kaitlyn, why won't she just say it and stop making up stuff so that I'll break up with her?!

I'm going to be in a interview tomorrow night because Jospeh wants us to perform better than Prince and The Revolution group.

Joseph said that he saw their performance last night in his room and thought they were good and he wants us to do even better so that the fans will remember that we're still the best and popular group and if we mess things up, Jospeh is gonna go crazy on us... I hate getting beatings.

It kinda makes me a little scared because we have to go straight home after school and rehearse tonight...

Maybe we should sing the song I wrote for Kaitlyn.... Dancing Machine.

I made it after the homecoming dance.

At the dance, we were together and I was so in love with her slow dancing. She was so warm and gentle and when she's really dancing, like to an upbeat song, she's very confident in her dancing.

She's really good like me. I'm thinking about putting her on stage with me and we'll dance for the fans. She'll love that. She loves attention from the fans.

I closed my locker and turned to my right heading towards the stairs to my first class, Music Program. Before, I could even turn the corner to go to the stairway, I spotted Prince and Ariel with a two new faces. A girl and a boy dressed similarly in a grunge fashion look.

They all looked at at me while I stood there focusing on Prince and Ariel all hugged up as if they just got done kissing each other. Prince let Ariel loose from his arms and smirked at me.

"Hey Mike." Prince waved a little.

I cringed, "Don't call me Mike, you ain't my friend and you don't know me like that." I mumbled.

Ariel sighed, "Michael. Chill out why don't you?" She smiled a little.

"Why are you mad?" She asked shrugging.

I raised an eyebrow, "I'm not mad, why do you think that?" I asked.

"Because, the way you were looking at us and how you kinda threw a little attitude there at Prince." She fake chuckled.

"He's probably mad because you and Prince are the cutest couple number two." The girl said from behind them cackled.

The boy chuckled with the girl and Prince did too and so did Ariel.

"No I'm not mad because of that, I'm mad that you said those things about my girlfriend on tv!" I raised my voice a little furrowing my eyebrows and feeling my body get hotter.

Prince squinted his eyes at me, "Who you think you yelling at like-" Prince started until Ariel interrupted.

"You know what, I had to because-" Ariel started.

I cut her off, "Because you wanted her to look bad in the crowd." I assumed furrowing my eyebrows.

"No. Well- yes because those things she did to me are actually true and the fact that she lied in that one interview is true too and I'm telling everyone that because it's wrong for a bitch like her to be lying about a person she don't like so that everyone will hate her." Ariel sped through her words and raised her voice a little letting me know that she's getting mad.

I can tell her mood changed quite fast because she was all happy until I spoke of Kaitlyn.

"See." I pointed at her. "I can tell that you're lying because you called her a bitch and she always tell me that you call her a bitch."

"Well you know what, that's the only true thing she says about me because I do call her a bitch because she is one and she needs to get a damn life and money of her own so that she can buy her own shit." She crossed her arms.

"I can't believe you! You need to leave my girlfriend alone and stop messing with her! It's ridiculous! I exclaimed.

"She has another bruise on her arm, don't you think that's enough?!" I threw my hands up.

"First of all, your girlfriend need to leave me alone and stop bullying me! She's the one who picks on me, calls me fat and pushes me around!" She pointed at her chest.

"And I never landed a finger on her except that one time we had a fight in the bathroom! Michael! You're believing a girl you met at the first week of school and not the girl you met ages ago!"

I sighed loudly, "Here we go with this again." I mumbled to myself.

"Hey." The guy started stepping down from a stair to the floor. "Ariel, you can just quit now, just leave them alone. You don't need to be in their relationship business anyway. Stop trying to break them up." I heard the guy say to Ariel.

Thanks.

"But, Michael was my friend and I'm trying to get him away from Kaitlyn before he gets his heart broken." Ariel pointed at me while talking to the guy.

"If he gets his heart broken, then its his fault."

"But Kaitlyn is lying to him and everyone else that I'm doing things that's wrong."

"Just let him believe that you're doing things wrong when you're really not, he's stupid and he doesn't understand anything." A girl dressed in a grunge outfit spoke up to her.

Ariel looks back at me and nod taking in their words.

"You know what, they're right. Go ahead and believe what she says about me, all the lies and the fake bruises she makes on her body. You're stupid. At least I have a good relationship with Prince." She smirked at me and rolled her eyes.

The grunge dressed girl and boy clapped their hands praising Ariel on what she just said to me. I clenched my teeth and my fists in anger, trying not to swing my arms at Ariel.

Don't hit girls.

Prince hugged her from behind making AT disgusted look at me and kissed her cheek, I guess to make me jealous...

"Move." I mumbled shoving my way through them so I can get to the steps.

They kinda stumbled back but I don't care, I just stomped my way upstairs so that I can get to my first period, Music Program.

Prince is in my class too... Ugh..

Nia's POV

After I got a car ride to school from my mom, I came straight to the library and start reading a magazine that has information about what happened last night at the Shawn Tango Late Night Show.

I saw Prince, his group and Ariel on tv last night and they were talking about the group and stuff and Shawn asked some questions about Ariel and Prince's relationship.

I'm so glad she told everyone about Kaitlyn. I literally started screaming on the top of my lungs of excitement last night chanting "Fuck you Kaitlyn!"

I was up until twelve o'clock at night watching the show laughing, screaming and crying and now I'm tired... why does late night shows have to be so late?

I read two pages of the magazine about Prince and Ariel's relationship and that kinda made me mad a little bit.

I'm happy that they're dating because Ariel looks so happy with him but the other reason why I don't like them dating is because I can't get over the fact that Prince is over me and he moved on to Ariel.

I did the same... I have Cameron but I don't know if we're gonna be together for a long time...I don't love him as much as I love Prince. I'm trying not to cheat on Cameron like I did with Prince because that's the wrong thing to do.

I kinda wanna break up with him and wait forever until Prince and Ariel break up... but what if they never break up....

I miss Prince being my boyfriend. He was so sweet and kind and I love his kisses and his sexiness. Sometimes we would have great  make out sessions. But the thing I hate is that he never wrote a song for me like what he did to Ariel and that makes me kinda mad.

I wish he was popular when we were dating then he might've did that. I wish he could've expose me to the media too but instead, he kept our relationship lowkey and I didn't like that. Ariel is getting all this sweet loving from him that I didn't get and I'm depressed about it...

I slammed the magazine down and held my head letting out a short scream in irritation from what I've read about what happened last night knowing that this is going to probably ruin my day because everyone is going to be talking about how great Prince and Ariel's relationship is all day today.... probably even months.

Just then, Latoya appeared at the two front doors of the library. She looks like if she just got done kissing a hot boy.

Her false, long black hair is curled and goes down to her bare back. She's wearing a white crop top that shows her back and goes down to her waist and a black skirt, which is against the school's dress code, the weather outside and her age...

I would give her my jacket, before she gets in trouble by the principle but I realized that I forgot my jacket. Haha.

Her long, red, false nails shined as she held her sparkly phone up to her ear, talking into the phone. She spotted me sitting on the table close to the back of the library and she rushed over to me turning her phone off and shoving her phone into her her little white purse.

"Hey girl!" She swung the chair back from the table and slammed herself down.

"Hi." I said lowly crossing my arms.

She looked at me puzzled, "What's wrong? What happened?" She asked fixing herself on the chair.

"Nothing. You wouldn't care." I mumbled shaking my head.

"I will care. Spill it."

"No." I shook my head slowly ripping one of the three pages about Ariel and Prince's relationship.

"Tell me now. I want to know. Something's wrong." She assumed watching closely as I tear the paper from the magazine. "What are you doing?" She looked at me puzzled.

"Nothing." I mumbled.

She looked closely at the page and opened her mouth at the crumbled picture of Prince and Ariel form the late night show from last night.

"Wait. Lemme see." We grasped the magazine and yanked it out of my hands and the page ripped even more.

"Eh. Prince and Ariel... cutest couple ever...sang a song for her last night.... in love." She read to herself loudly as I watch her with my chin rested on the palm of my hand.

"Ugh." She slammed the magazine down on the table. "I've heard enough." She crossed her arms.

"I know right." I agreed.

"What do you mean? You not supposed to have a problem with them." She looked at me puzzled.

"Uh. I was Prince's girlfriend first. Sure I should have a problem with them. She's one of my best friends and she's dating my ex." I sigh.

"What? You don't like them dating either?" She raised her eyebrows and smiled a little.

I shook my head, "Nope. Well- I'm kinda happy for her. She looks very happy to be with Prince but.." I hesitated.

She sat there waiting for me to say something else. I didn't want to tell her but I guess I'll tell her anyway since she don't like them dating.

"I kinda don't like the fact that Prince never did that stuff to me when we were dating. You know? It was all lowkey. I don't know why." I shrugged looking down.

"So.. You're jealous?" She asked.

"I hate to say this but yeah...I just miss..Prince." I mumbled playing with my fingers.

"Oh. No wonder why you kept telling her to break up with Prince and be with that guy William." She chuckled softly looking at her nails.

I raised an eyebrow, "Huh? Who's William?" I asked.

"That guy that was at Sabrina's birthday party... The one who was kinda flirting with Ariel and you said that he was cute." She explained trying to get me to remember.

A bell rang in my head and I remember the face of William. The tall mixed guy with the good hair at Sabrina's birthday party.

"Oh yeah. Him! She should go out with him, he's pretty cute. They look like they would be a great couple." I smiled brightly.

"Yeah I know but if she dates Michael, it'll be even more better." She said surely.

"Why don't you like Ariel and Prince dating?" I asked curiously.

She sat there looking at the paper again and sighed softly.

"Because I'd rather see Ariel and Michael together." She put the paper down.

"Why?" I cringed a little.

She sighed, "Because. It's just- ugh. They were this close to being together!" She put her index finger a inch farther than her thumb on her right hand. "I thought they were going to date, she was so happy, then we found out that he's with that cockroach and-"

I cut her off by laughing, "Cockroach?" I questioned.

"Kaitlyn!" She made a serious tone. "That's a new nickname we gave her."

"Ohh." I laughed.

"But anyways, she could've been my sister in law and ya know... Michael used to talk about her all the time before the homecoming dance happened. He really liked her and I think he fits well with Ariel not Kaitlyn. I think he's miserable in my own opinion." She spilled.

"Why do you think he's miserable?" I asked.

"Well.. he's dating Kaitlyn! Of course he's gonna be miserable. She's a big fat lier and she's a gold digger!" She blurted.

I hopped in my chair, "Gold digger?!" I flattened my hand to my chest.

"Yes gold digger!" She threw her hands up.

"Shhhhh!!!" A person behind her shushed her.

"Oh sorry." Latoya whispered to the guy.

She turned back to me and took a deep breath.

"I just need to stop this from happening. Kaitlyn and Michael need to break up and some how I'll have Ariel to be Michael's dream girlfriend." She said quietly holding her head with one hand.

"Why can't you get William and Ariel together? It's more easier... I think he's single. Right?" I looked up at the thought of William.

"Ugh. No. He's Marcus' brother." She sighed.

"Who's Marcus?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Uh. Nothing he's my friend." She nodded. "But anyways I'll have Prince and Ariel break up with each other after I break Kaitlyn and Michael up so that Ariel can be happy with Michael." She took a deep breath and let it out with a smile.

"But Prince and Ariel love each other.." I started.

"Not for long." She shook her head.

"Yeah, you're right because when I dated him, he cheated on me." I pointed at my chest.

She smirked and shook her head.

"Nia. Stop. It's over now. You know good and well he didn't cheat, you cheated." She chuckled a little.

I cheated on Prince with another guy last year and blamed it on Prince... I know it's bad but I had to. That's what he get for putting our relationship lowkey! I only told Latoya about this not anyone else because I trust her.

Her eyebrows raised and she smiled after she thought deeply into space about something.

"Have you seen the part when Ariel told everyone about how Kaitlyn is?" She asked smiling at me.

I nodded, "Yep. I was so happy!" I exclaimed. "I was yelling at the tv last night and celebrating with three pieces of pizza and soda in my room." I laughed.

"You were yelling?" Latoya laughed covering her mouth.

"Yes. I was home alone and I ordered pizza before I watched the show. Then I got all excited when she told everyone about Kaitlyn. Now everyone is going to hate her." I clapped my hands.

"Yeah. That's what she get for lying to everybody about my best friend!" She clapped along with me.

"And then Prince started talking about their music group." I added.

Latoya made a disgusted look, "I can't stand that midget." She mumbled.

She's always talking bad about him.

"Leave Prince alone." I slapped her arm. "Why are you always talking bad about him?" I laughed.

She rolled her eyes, "Because I think he's trying to copy my brothers." She crossed her arms.

"How?" I looked at her puzzled.

"Because he's made a freaking group. Duh." She shrugged and start staring at her glossy nails.

"That doesn't mean anything." I chuckled a little.

"That does mean something. That means that he's trying to gain more popularity than the Jackson Five with his stupid lame group." She spat looking at the picture of Prince on the crumpled magazine page.

"No it doesn't. He's always wanted to be in a music group." I corrected watching her make disgusted looks at the page with Prince on it.

"Because he always see the Jackson Five with a lot of fans, money and love. They're always on tv shows and they perform good music. That's why he wanna be in a music group, so he can try to be better than my brothers."

I sighed and rolled my eyes, "Prince been playing instruments ever since he was seven years old, he's always been dreaming about having his own music group since that age. And at the age I don't think he knew the Jackson Five so he's not doing this for competition." I corrected her and chuckled a little bit.

"Then why didn't he do it earlier? Why did he do it now? Oh yeah! It's because he sees the Jackson Five being successful and he wants to try to steal that success from them!" She assumed.

"Toy. You're being ridiculous." I chuckled and shook my head.

*Ding Ding*

The bell rang and everyone in the library start getting up out of their seats and rushing towards the door in the front. Latoya and I get up and walk together to the crowded front door .

"I'm not being ridiculous. It's true though." She assured.
