Chapter 18: Homework With Prince
•After School•
~3:25pm~
I'm finally at home after a long day at school feeling sticky and smelling like cherries. I wish I can take a shower right away but Prince is here and he needs help on homework.
Prince sat beside me in the dining room with his big algebra book on the table and both of our homework sitting next to each other. We have at least 10 questions on our homework and all of it is equations.
It looks more than 10, it looks like there's 30 questions. It's gonna be a long night. Oh yeah and I have a sleepover too!
"So how was your day?" Prince asked writing his name down on the top of his homework.
I shrugged, "It was awful." I mumbled doing the same to my homework sheet.
I saw him look at me in the corner of my eye, "What happen?" He asked.
I sighed, "It was Kaitlyn."
"What did she do?" He asked.
"She poured- I think it was a slushy all over my clothes and I had to go to the office and change into this." I looked down at my ugly clothes.
"Haha. No wonder why you smell kinda weird." He chuckled looking down at his paper.
My eyes widened, "Is it bad? Do I smell bad." I pulled the top of my shirt to my nose and sniffed.
He nodded, "Nah, you're fine. You just don't smell like you always do." He winked.
I looked at him puzzled, "What do you mean?" I asked.
He sighed and smiled at me, "You always smell really good. You always smell like bananas, strawberries or vanilla . Sometimes even candy." He chuckled.
I blushed and chuckled, "Ha. Oh. Thanks."
He smiled, "No problem." He mumbled looking at his paper. "Now can we do homework?" He asked.
I chuckled, "Okay, what do you need help on?" I asked.
He showed me his goofy smile and shook his head, "I didn't really need help on homework."
I gasped, "Then why are you here?" I slapped his arm.
"I just wanna hang out with you." He laughed.
"Stupid. Why didn't you ask me if we could hang out?" I laughed with him.
"I don't know." He shrugged. "I thought you would say no so I had to find a way to get us alone together." He smiled playing with his fingers. "I'm actually good at algebra."
"We won't really have time to hang out together because we have to do homework, then you have to leave because I have a sleepover and it's only for girls." I told him.
"Why can't you invite boys?" He asked.
I sighed, "Because it's a girls' night and not boys and girls. And I'm only allowed to have girls to sleepover here, not boys." I wrote some stuff down on my paper.
He looked around the house, "Your mom isn't here. That mean you can let me stay over."
"She'll come back in like eight o'clock."
"Hm. I should probably hide somewhere so she won't find me and maybe I'll sleepover." He smiled.
I giggled, "Prince no. You're gonna leave before the sleepover starts. No boys allowed."
"Then how come your brothers get to be invited to your sleepover?"
I sighed, "I never invited them and they don't care about a sleepover." I shrugged.
"Haha. You're cute." He poked my cheek.
I blushed, "No I'm not. Shut up and do your homework." I giggled.
I think I'm having a tiny crush on Prince. He's cute too and I like his smile but I really don't like him that way, we're just best friends. And I think Michael is way more cuter. I think Michael is better and I'm shooting for Michael. I also think Michael likes me and I like him back and I think we're gonna have a chance to be together.
•Prince's POV•
She's really beautiful. I can't help it but smile at her all the time. I love her smile, her eyes, her body. She's pretty. I've been crushing on her for the longest. I think she's the one because she's always there for me. She's a really good friend. She even let me come over to her house when I told her that I needed help on homework when I really didn't. I wanted to come over here to spend time with her because I heard Latoya talking about Ariel and Michael this morning in History class. She said that Michael was flirting with Ariel in the pool and that kinda made me jealous. He needs to stay away from her! I really can't let my crush fall in love with another guy. That'll break my heart!
I'm thinking about asking her to the homecoming dance. The homecoming dance is probably gonna be more better and more romantic than swimming so probably she'll love that. I asked a few girls to the dance on Monday but they said no and start insulting me which really brought me down. So I guess I'll ask Ariel cause I know that she won't insult me at all. She's my best friend and she never says anything bad about me. That's why I love her and want to date her so much. She's the only girl in my life that is really nice to me and there for me when I need her and I don't want the girl of my life to be with another guy. I kinda don't want to ask her right now but I kinda do. I should probably wait a while and give her a present and ask her so that she can really say yes.
I'm almost done with the song I made for her. My friend Andre is helping me out on it. Andre is one of my childhood best friends like Ariel. I tell him secrets and he knows that I like Ariel. I'm thinking about making a band with him because he's also good at some instruments.
•45 Minutes later•
Ariel finished her homework and she went upstairs to take a shower. Then, she came down wearing jean shorts and a black crop top that covers her belly button. I love her body, it's amazing and it turns me on. Her skin looks really soft and warm, her long, black and curly hair goes down to her waist and her thighs looks soft and sexy.
I know it's kinda weird to think this way about your best friend but I can't help it. She's hot.
She went in the kitchen and grabbed some salad out of the refrigerator and sat beside me on the dining room table. She looked at my paper and did a little cute chuckle.
"You're still doing your homework?" She asked smiling.
I looked at my paper and chuckled. I only did five questions out of ten.
"Yeah." I nodded my head.
"Slow poke." She mumbled putting a small amount of food in her mouth. "For about an hour, you've done only 5 questions?"
I chuckled softly, "I'm not finished because I keep thinking about you and it keeps slowing me down."
She looked at me, "Well stop thinking about me silly and do your homework." She playfully nudged my arm.
"I can't. You're too hard to not think about." I held my head.
She playfully rolled her eyes and smiled, "Whatever."
"You're too beautiful. I can't help it but think about you. You're always on my mind." I smiled at her.
She giggled, "Stop. You're just saying that." She shook her head.
I shook my head and smiled, "No, I'm really serious. You're always on my mind. I'm making a song for you and my friend is helping me out and I also have a surprise for you." I winked.
Her eyes widened, "Well- aww. Uh. Thank you."
"You're quiet and you're really not like other girls. Girls are mean to me and most of them bully me and say I'm a wimp but you. You're really sweet and kind to me and I-" I stopped myself and took a deep breath. She looked at me and smiled a little bit.
I really don't wanna say it right now. I'm gonna wait for the surprise I got for her.
•Ding Ding•
All of a sudden, we heard the doorbell.
She got up form her chair, "I guess that's one of my friends. I think you should leave now." She politely said.
Dammit. Why can't she have this "sleepover" another time.
"Can I just stay for a little bit?" I asked getting up.
"No. You have to leave Prince, my friends don't want boys this time." She said walking in the living room. "I can probably invite you over tomorrow. Is that okay?" She smiled at me.
I sighed and smiled a little bit, "Alright." I nodded.
"Good." She opened the door and her friends Latoya and Rebbie are standing their with their pajamas on holding pink sleeping bags and a lot of other girly stuff. They smiled brightly and hugged Ariel tightly as I watched them greet each other.
"Come in." Ariel opened the door wide and they walked in.
"Oh. Hey Prince." Latoya smiled at me.
"Hey." I smiled back walking towards the door as Ariel kept it open for me.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow Prince." I heard Ariel say behind me.
I turned around and smiled at her, "You're not gonna give me a hug?" I raised an eyebrow.
She smiled holding her arms out for a hug. I came in and wrapped my arms her around her waist as she wrapped her arms around the middle of my back holding me tightly.
I really don't wanna let go. Her hair smells like vanilla again and her body is so soft. Her curly, wet hair is so silky and smooth. Our hug is just warm and I can feel a little bit of fireworks in my stomach. We haven't hugged like this before. We would only hug for about 2 seconds and that's it but this hug is very different. She got me feeling some type of way. Kinda horny you know... I feel so tempted to run my fingers up her back but I can't do that. That's pushing it way too far. Just take it slow Prince and be patient. Some day you'll have her body, just not now.
"Uh. Prince. You can let me go now." Her soft voice muffled in my chest.
I popped out of my deep thoughts and quickly let her go realizing I was hugging her way too long.
"Uh. Oh. I'm sorry. Haha." I nervously scratched the back of my head.
She laughed a little bit, "Ha. It's okay." She backed away closer to the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow beautiful." I bit the bottom of my lip.
She blushed and waved goodbye then I watched her walk back in the house.
