Mr. Alucard settles everything
Third person POV
After hanging up with the nurse, Charity's father contacted Mr. Alucard. Perhaps, he could do something for Catherine. He really didn't want to speak with Mr. Bendito. "I need to speak with Mr. Alucard immediately."
"May I inquire as to who is calling?" The man on the other end of the phone asked.
"My name is of no importance. Please inform Mr. Alucard that I'm calling in regards to Catherine, he will know who I am."'
"Sir, you have a phone call. The man on the other end refused to tell me his name. He only told me to inform you that he's calling in regards to someone named Catherine."
"I'll take the call in my study. Please make sure that I am not disturbed."
"Of course Mr. Alucard." The man replied with a bow.
Once in his office, Mr. Alucard picked up the phone "What is so important that you had to interrupt my business meeting?"
"I'm truly sorry. I am not sure if you are aware but Catherine has been in Springfield's psychiatric facility for several months."
"When exactly did this happen?"
"The night my ex wife and her new play toy, were found brutally murdered. She was the sole suspect."
" That's ridiculous. Catherine has the purest soul of anyone I've ever met. She is incapable of such violence."
"The doctor whose care she is currently under seems to disagree. They have kept her from receiving any form of contact from letters to actual visits."
"Besides this is there any other issues?"
"The doctor refuses to allow her to do anything outside of the facility."
"Catherine was looking forward to going to summer camp. She has always wanted to attend one however, my ex wife and I could never afford to send her. I was hoping that perhaps, you could pull some strings to ensure that the Doctor allows Catherine to attend the camp of her choice."
"Don't worry. If Catherine wants to go to summer camp then to summer camp she shall go. If the Doctor's disagree with my decision then they will find themselves in the unemployment line. Is there anything else you'd like to inform me concerning Catherine?"
"Catherine should have been released a long time ago. I know that she is in perfect health, both physically and mentally. Despite this, the doctor has recommended to the police that Catherine become a permanent resident of the facility."
"I see." Mr. Alucard replied with a slight growl. "Thank you for informing me of this issue. I shall deal with it immediately upon my return."
"When might that be?"
"I shall be back before nightfall." Mr. Alucard replied.
"Is everything ok Mr. Alucard?" The man Mr. Alucard had been talking too asked with genuine concern.
"No. I'm afraid that I will have to cut our meeting short. I have an urgent matter that needs attending to at home." Mr. Alucard replied. It didn't take Mr. Alucard long to arrive at the hospital.
"Mr. Allucard, welcome to our facility. Is there something I can do for you?"
"Yes. Who is the Doctor in charge here? I'd like to have a word with them."
"I'll page him right away. "Dr. Leeson to the nurses station paging Dr. Leeson. Your needed at the nurses station right away."
"What's so important that you had to interrupt my rounds?" An irritated Dr. Leeson demands with a frown.
"This man would like to have a word with you."
"As much as I'd like to stay around and chat, I have work to do. This will have to wait until I'm done my rounds. I have patients to attend too."
"Let someone else take care of your rounds." Mr. Alucard replied calmly.
"Excuse me? You can't just walk into my facility and order me around. Who do you think you are the owner of this establishment?" Turning to the nurse he demanded "who let this man past the gate?"
"Umm, Dr. Leeson, this is Mr. Alucard.."
The nurse cleared her throat before finishing her sentence. "The founder and soul contributor to our establishment. In essence, he does owns this facility." The nurse replied.
"My apologies Mr. Alucard, I didn't recognize you. How may I be of service?" Dr. Leeson replied nervously.
"I am here concerning a patient of yours. It is my understanding that she desires to go to summer camp and she has parental permission to attend. Yet, you refuse to allow her to leave? Care to explain why you think you know better then her legal guardians?"
"You must be referring to Catherine. Catherine has been through a lot of traumatic experiences as of late. Her biological brother tried to kill her and he is still on the loose. She was accused of several brutal murders."
"Catherine has shown a very concerning attitude towards her peers. Which on several occasions has become quite violent. Due to this, I can't in good conscience allow her to attend a summer camp that is over eight hours away."
"Nonsense. Catherine will go to the summer camp of her choice. From this day forward I shall be monitoring her progress. Any decisions concerning her welfare will be brought to my immediate attention."
"I don't appreciate having to leave a very important meeting to remind you of your place doctor. I don't ever want to hear about you refusing to allow Catherine to do anything that she desires so long as it isn't harmful to her, is that clear?"
"Sir, only her legal guardian has the authority to make those kinds of decisions." Doctor Leeson replied.
At this Mr. Alucard grabbed Dr Leeson by the throat. "Are you questioning me doctor?" He snarled baring his fangs.
Dr. Leeson gulped "No sir, it's the facilities policy. Only a legal guardian can make decisions concerning the patient besides myself." He replied as he gasped for breath.
"Don't quote the policy to me, I wrote it. You have over stepped your bounds for the last time."
"Please don't fire me. I need this job. I promise I won't over step my bounds again."
"You has better not. I think I shall pay a
visit to Catherine if you don't mind." Mr. Alucard replied dropping Dr. Leeson to the ground. After Mr. Alucard had released him Dr. Lesson sat there on the floor for a few moments rubbing his neck nervously. "By the way, what room is Catherine in?"
"She is in room 66. Although it is past visiting hours you are more then welcome to visit her room." Dr. Leeson said trying to get back on Mr. Alucard's good side.
Mr. Alucard smiled "thank you I greatly appreciate that."
Meanwhile, I sat in my room crying. I had been looking forward to leaving this place for a few months and now I was being told that I was not allowed to leave the facility. It just wasn't fair. Why were they punishing me?
What had I done wrong that I now found myself confined to my room with no visitation rights. My thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Alucard. "Catherine why are you crying?"
"I thought I was making the progress needed for me to go home. However, I've been told that I am now a permanent resident of this facility. I'm not even supposed to be allowed visitation rights. How did you manage to get them to allow you to come see me?"
"Being the owner of the facility has is privileges. I have discussed your care with Dr. Leeson. I must say, I disagree with his diagnosis concerning you."
"You do?"
"Yes. I will be more than happy to ensure that you have everything your heart desires."
"Why?" I replied completely confused.
"You are a very special young lady."
"No I'm not. No one wants a girl like me. None of my foster parents have ever wanted me. You're the first visitor that I've had since I was brought to this awful place." I replied tearfully.
"I can assure you, that both your foster father Mr. Seaweather and his ex wife's newest husband, Mr. Bendito have tried to have you released from here but their petition have been denied continually.
Mr. Bendito has stopped by often to check on your progress. He has continually asked to see you however, your doctor has insisted that you not be allowed any visitors."
"As for your foster father, He made a deal with my sons a deal that is, binding. You are aware of what that deal entailed don't you Catherine?"
"Yes. He agreed that I would move in with you and work to pay off the debt he owes you. That I would remain with you and work for you until the entire debt has been repaid." I replied bitterly.
"This deal is binding and will not be altered in anyway. From this day forward, you belong to my sons and I."
"And if I refuse?"
At this, Mr. Alucard chuckles in amusement. "What makes you think you have any say in the matter?"
"Because it's my future we are talking about."
"Young lady, there is no point in arguing about this. What is done is done. Now, your going to go to camp and then upon your return you will be returning with me to my home. End of discussion."
"And what if I want to go back to living with Mr. Bendito? He's my legal guardian. I doubt that he will be willing to allow me to serve you to pay off Charity's father's debt."
"Don't concern yourself with such trivial things. I am sure Mr. Bendito and I can come to some sort of arrangement."
