Dreaming of the past

Meanwhile, back at the hospital where Michael had been admitted too Dr. Loomis frowned. "Well of course I'm not surprised that he has escaped again." Dr Loomis told the group. Who was watching him?"

"I don't know. The attendant who was supposed to watch him was due in at 10:00. As they reached the Michael's room the doctor spotted another nurse picking up the pieces of a broken window.

"He must have broken the window with his hands."

"He came down the hall breaking his way into all of the rooms, releasing all of the patients. We spent most of the night rounding them up." The nurse who had lead Dr. Loomis to Michael's room replied.

Dr. Loomis didn't respond to her complaint instead he changed the subject. "What was it you wanted to show me?"

The nurse didn't reply instead she just closed the door to reveal the word sisters in giant letters. "Have they caught him yet?"

"No." Dr. Loomis replied irritatedly but I know where he's going."

As Dr. Loomis headed out to his car another doctor walked along side him. "I'm not responsible Sam."

"Oh No." Dr. Loomis replies sarcastically.

"I told them how dangerous he was." The Doctor replied.

"You couldn't have, because two roadblocks and an all points bulletin wouldn't have even stopped a five year old." Dr Loomis replied semi sarcastically.

"Well he's your patient Dr. If precautions weren't strong enough, You should have told someone." The other Dr replied pushing the blame on to Dr. Loomis.

"I told Everybody!  NO one listened!!" Dr. Loomis replied irritatedly.

"There is nothing else I can do."

"You can get back in there and back on that telephone and tell them who walked out of here and exactly where he is going!!"

"Where he is probably going. Sam, Haddenfeild  is over 120 miles away Springwood is even further. He doesn't even know how to drive a car."

"Maybe someone from your faculty taught him how, because he was doing just fine last night!" Dr. Loomis replied angrily as he got into his car and slammed the door.

Meanwhile, back in Springwood, I was watching one of me favorite tv shows when it was interrupted. "We interrupt this normally scheduled broadcast to bring you an special bulletin. The notorious mass murderer Michael Myers has escaped from custody. We repeat the notorious mass murder Michael Myers has escaped from prison."

"He was last seen wearing blue overalls and a white face mask. His last know location was about 30 miles from Springwood Ohio. Citizens are urged to be on be look out and should contact authorities if they spot him. Do not engage, we repeat do not engage the suspect. He is considered armed and dangerous."

"Mikey." I whispered as I watched the news. I hadn't seen him since the night that he has killed my foster mother and her new boyfriend. I looked at the television in concern. Would Mikey come looking for me again? If he did, would it be to kill me?

"Catherine is something wrong?" Draco asked kneeling down by my side. I bit my lip and shook my head no but Draco could tell that I wasn't telling the whole truth. "Catherine something is bothering you, what is it?"

"It's nothing."

"Catherine you know you can tell me anything don't you?" Draco asked his voice laced with worry.

I run my fingers through my hair before giving him a slight nod. "Wes Me know." I mumble not wanting to look him in the eyes. He sighs and shakes his head in disappointment and turns to leave. "Dwaco?" He turns and looks at me. "If someone wanted to huwt me you wouldn't let them would you?" I asked tearfully.

Draco seems taken aback by my question and is instantly at my side brushing the tears from my cheeks and cradles me in his arms. "Shhhh little one. Shh." I closed my eyes as he quietly started to sing No ones going to hurt you not while I'm around from Sweeney Todd the demon barber of Fleet Street. Soon I was fast asleep in his arms.

I found myself dreaming of when Michael was in that weird place. He hadn't talked for weeks and mom had once again come to visit with him. This time she had to bring me with her because she couldn't find a babysitter willing to watch me. I had been in a bad additude since Mikey had been taken away. I didn't understand why had to stay in this strange place. He hadn't done anything wrong not really. He was only trying to protect me from bad people.

"Look who I brought to visit you." Our mother said taking me out of my car seat and holding me so that He could see me. Michael didn't say anything he just sat there. Ultimately I became wiggly and our mother placed me down on the floor so that I could crawl around. Wanting to stay and see Mikey for longer I hid under the table by his legs.

As usual Michael remained silent the entire visit just staring at her with a blank expression behind his paper Mâché pumpkin mask. "Before I go, I brought you something. I found them I thought you might want to hang them up in your room." Handing him two pictures one of him holding Angel and one of him holding me.

"I thought you'd like them." Well, I guess I'll see you next week then." Our Mother said rising from her seat. Completely forgetting that she had placed me on the floor to crawl around she kissed Michael on the forehead and walked towards the door of the cafeteria.

"I'll walk you out." The Doctor said as they both headed towards the door. "Nurse keep an eye on him while I walk Mrs. Myers out to her car." As they waited for the elevator Dr.Loomis was explaining that Michael hadn't talked in over two weeks and that they should consider electroshock therapy.

Meanwhile, the nurse walked over and sat down across from Michael. Wanting to be where Mikey could see me I tugged on the lady's jacket. "Want uppy." I said tugging on the lady's jacket. She looked down at me and frowned.

"Aww what a cute little baby but how did you get in here?" The nurse replied with a frown.

"Uppy?" I replied again looking up at the nurse pouting. The nurse smiled and picked me up placing me in her lap. She picked up the photographs and looked at them. "Cute babies."

At this, Michael looked up at her. "They couldn't possibly be related to you." The nurse stated with a smirk tossing them back towards Michael. I frowned and clenched my fist from my seat on the floor.

"Meanie." I replied sticking my tongue out at her. The next thing I knew, the room resounded with a loud smack. Which I ultimately realized, had come from my bottom. I looked up at the nurse in confusion and she smiled at me.

"Perhaps this will teach you to not to call adults names." She said as she raised her hand and brought it back down upon my behind once more. My lower lip began to tremble and I let out a wail. "Stop that you little brat. Your only getting what you deserve" She replied spanking my bottom a few more times before placing back on her lap.

I looked over at Michael. I couldn't tell what he was thinking behind that mask of his. I did however, noticed that his fist was tightly clenched. I looked up at him and into his dark expressionless eyes and smiled.

As I glanced over at the fork grabbing it before Michael did. "Meanie." I stated raising the fork and stabbing the nurse in her neck. Michael rose from his seat and removed the fork from her neck. I giggled and clapped my hands happily. The nurses blood dripping from my hands.

Suddenly, a bunch of alarms started blaring and our mother and Dr. Loomis came running into the room. I sat there next to the body my clothes and hands getting soaked in her blood. I was clapping my hands the blood splattering on my lips which I eagerly licked while giggling happily.

They all looked at me in shock. The guards wrestled with Michael causing him to drop the fork which I immediately crawled over to. Picking it up I crawled back over to the nurse's body and stabbed it over and over again.

However, no one really noticed me as they were busy focusing on Michael. Our mother walking up to him and grabbing his mask off his face. She stumbled and screamed in horror upon seeing the furious unrelenting look upon Michael's face. I shook my head and sighed. Mommy shouldn't have done that.

I awoke in a cold sweat. Why was I having these dreams? The next morning, I awoke to find a strange man in my room. "Hello Catherine, are you ready for breakfast?"

I looked up to see a strange young man. He looked to be about the same age as me. I slowly backed away and shook my head. "Nnno thank you." I replied still backing away from him.

The young man sighs sadly. "Are you afraid of me Catherine?" I nod my head. "Would it make you feel better, if you knew that I know Draco?" I shook my head no. Just because he said he knew Draco didn't necessarily mean that he did.

"My name is Vincent my father is Draco's best friend. His name is Drogo. Has Draco told you about him?" I nod. "Good. I'm here to take care of you, while your father is at work. I can't wait to get to know you."

"Me want Dwaco." I whisper quietly refusing to look at the strange young man. Again I heard him sigh sadly.

"This is going to be a long day. I told you, Draco is at work. He will be home later. Now be a good girl and eat your breakfast. It would be a shame if I have to punish you for being disobedient already." Vincent replied.

Again I shook my head slowly backing away from him. I tried to run upstairs but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back down. "Let go of me!" I said trying to struggle out of his firm grip.

"No. I'm tired of trying to convince you to do as I say. You will sit down and eat your breakfast even if I have to shove it down your throat."

"Me want Dwaco." Was my only reply.

"Yeah well, we don't always get what we want. Now eat!" Vincent replied shoving the plate of pancakes towards me. Again I shook my head and he sighed.

"I guess we will have to do this the hard way." With that he sat down beside me and cut a piece of the pancake and held it towards my mouth. "Open." I shook my head. Don't make me force your mouth open." At this, I began to cry unable to hold back my fear any longer.

"What is going on here?" A very familiar voice asked. He turned and walked over to me and picked me up out of my high chair. "Why is she crying." He demanded as I buried my face in his chest.

Vincent sighed "She refuses to eat her breakfast. I warned her that she'd eat it one way or another even if I had to force feed her. I also warned her that if she continued to misbehave, I wouldn't hesitate to punish her."

"I see. Little one."

I looked up at Draco as he tried to sit me down in a chair. However, I refused to let go and he sighed. "Little one, why are you giving your babysitter a hard time?" He asked with clear disappointment in his voice.

Immediately I began to cry once more.
"Me sowwy (sorry). Him a stwangea (stranger). "Me got scawed. (scared). Me didn't mean to be bad. Me pwomise (promise) Me didn't." I replied sniffling.

"Shhhh. Everything is alright. I should have told you about Vincent."

"That's otay (ok)."

"No, sweetheart it's not. This all could have been avoided if I had told you about him. Catherine this is Vincent, he's going to be taking care of you while I am at work. Sometimes if I'm running late he will tuck you into bed. Is that ok?" I nod. "Good. I want you to apologize to Vincent, and be a good girl for Him and do as he tells you. If you don't, he has my permission to punish you. If he has to do that, I will punish you again when I get home. Do you understand?"

"Wes Dwaco." I replied quietly.

"Good. Now, I have to get back to work. Hopefully, I will be home by 5:00 but I can't guarantee that I will." Draco told Vincent.

"That's ok. Take your time. You don't have to rush back home. It will be my pleasure to take care of your little girl. By the way how old is she?"

"Technically she's 16 but mentally she's probably more between the ages of one & five."

"Ok. Does she have a normal routine you want me to follow?"

"No. Just make sure she goes down for a nap otherwise, you'll have a very cranky little girl."
Draco replied.

Vincent chuckled "I wouldn't want that." He replied with a smile.

"I'll check in on you guys later, in between my meetings, if I have the time"

"Don't worry Draco, she's in good hands." Vincent replied and Draco nodded before getting into the backseat of the car and driving off. As I watched the car drive off I began to cry. Vincent immediately walked over to Me and picked me up patting my back to comfort me. "Shhh it's alright little one. Please don't cry."

"Me sowwy me was bad." I replied with a sniffle.

"Shhh. You weren't bad sweetheart. You had every right to be afraid. I was a stranger and I was in your bedroom and you didn't know where Draco was. Let's start over shall we? My name is Vincent and your name is Catherine. Or do you prefer Cathy?"

I thought for a moment before replying "taffy."

Vincent smiled "ok. Are you hungry Cathy?" I nodded and he sat me down in my high chair.
