You had recently joined the army. Today was the first day of training where you met your pod members and leader of your small group. Since this was a chain of the national organization, you met at the local training camp for your division.

You woke up out of bed and stretched, kicking the covers back. "Ugh. Another boring day." You walked to the bathroom and did your business before getting dressed. You put on your undergarments and stopped in your tracks. "Oh my God! Today is Day One!" You muffled a few curse words and rifled through your closet, looking for your uniform. You pulled out some dark green leggings, a light green jacket with buttons, black boots, and a silver tanks top. You dabbed on some light pink lip gloss and swiped on black eyeliner and dark green eyeshadow. Grabbing your keys and purse, you walked out of the house and into your car.

• 30 minutes later •

You arrived at the secluded camp with four tepees stacked in a horizontal row. There were hardly any people in sight, as you parked your car in the awaiting lot. You looked down at your watch and read what it said. 11:30 am.

You jogged across the dirt path and reached the barbed wire fence. There was a dusty red button and an intercom speaker, beside the one-story gate. You held it down and spoke into the speaker, before it moved the electronic gate aside. "Who is this and where are you supposed to be stationed?", replied the attendant. You pressed the button and answered, with worry. "My name is Y/N and I am the new recruit. You have my paperwork. Can you tell me where I'm supposed to go?" The speaker clicked and responded. "As soon as the gates release, there will be a group leader's assistant to show you where to go. Please follow all directions. You may proceed."

You watched the door, shakily creep by and walked along the dirt-ridden path towards the tepees. The afternoon sun cast a dim glow that bounced off of the trees, planted scarcely her and there, revealing the four other people in the pod.

"Alright cadets. I don't care where you're from or what experience you may have. There is nothing you will be doing here that we won't know about. You mess up and you will be punished. Treat others how you want to be treated...or you can get the hell out and get to steppin'. Easy as pie," said the commander. You heard every word he said as you came closer in earshot and slowed down walking. It terrified you that he would say something like that, and not give a damn. But, this is a military based training camp, after all.

Your footsteps seemed to interrupt his next speech, as you advanced on the campsite. You met him face to face once he turned around, and you fell flat on your back. He slowly turned around and you were in for the scare of your life.
