It was a rainy February night here in Los Angeles. It was pouring rain and made the air so cold out that it drifted it's way into the house through the windows that were closed. It seemed as though winter was reaching its peak with its cold grip and hold on the west coast. But you don't really mind it.

You were dressed in a warm pair of pajamas that kept you from shivering. You were cuddled up in the library with a nice cup of hot chocolate and whipped cream, with little pieces of peppermint crushed on top and inside. The taste was sweet and warm as you smiled a little. You were caught up in reading a book when you suddenly heard the front door close and footsteps.

Just by the footsteps you could tell who was home. The love of your life. You got up and set your mug down on the table next to the recliner you were sitting in and went to the front of the house to greet your husband. The Michael Jackson of course.

You hugged him tight, feeling his body shiver a little from the acceptance of your warmth. "Welcome home my love," you spoke and earned a small smile in return.

"Hello beautiful," Michael spoke and kissed your cheek. He smiled as he seen the warmth go to your cheeks. "What was my princess up to today?"

"Nothing much. Just been reading books in the library," you said honestly as you both went upstairs to your shared bedroom with him. You sat down on the bathroom counter as you continued to tell him about your day.

"I've noticed you've been reading that one book that I never got a chance to read. What was it?" He said curious as he stood between your legs after changing into his pajamas.

"The Merchant of Venice," you said and he nodded. "It's a really good book and I think you might enjoy it."

He suddenly picked you up and carried you to the library to sit in the recliner with you. He made some room for you to lay on him and handed you your book.

"Y/N, why don't we both read it together?" He said and you couldn't help but smile.

"Alright we can do that," you said and he kissed your nose. You saved your page with a bookmark and began to read it from the beginning.

So far, Michael was enjoying every bit of the book and even laughing at some points of the story making you smile. You both stopped a chapter ahead of where you originally were and closed the book.

"Do you like it so far?" You asked curiously.

"It's interesting and I like it. Especially when it gets chaotic," he said and you set the book aside. You yawned into his chest and he wrapped his arms around your body.

"Time for us to sleep," he said and kissed your forehead. Your blushes soon followed.

Soon, you drifted off to sleep from the warmth of the blanket and Michaels love and to the sound of the rain.
