As you can see, it took quite some time to tally up all the nominations, which is definitely a good thing! Thank you so much to everyone for participating, spreading the word, and helping to get us well past 1k nominations this year.

I'd like to start by saying congratulations to everyone who was nominated! Don't feel bad if you did not make it through the first round, as there is always next year.

The competition was much tougher this year, if I do say so myself-- especially in the categories 'Best of the Rest' and 'Thriller-Dangerous era'.

Another note- a book may not win more than one category, so in some situations the spot went to the next-highest, if the actual winner had already won out in another category.

Every single moonwalker deserves to be recognized for their writing and hard work- but, if we let everyone win this wouldn't be a competition.

If your name is listed above, you're a finalist in the Official 2017 MJFA's. Each member of the team will now read a portion of your book, and determine which book in your category (s) will be the winner.

We will not vote or comment (with the exception of commenting once to let you know we've read your submission), for the purpose of keeing the winner a secret.

Winners will recieve their prizes, listed in the first chapter of this book!

The reading stage may also take a long time- given there are dozens of books to examine. The winners will be announced as soon as all the books have been read and taken into account.
