Father's side:

♣ Mattie Daniel was born in 1864 to white daughter of plantation owner and black slave. She had 17 children. One of her daughters was grandmother of Joseph (Michael's father).

♣ King and Nellie had 10 children. One of them was Sam.

♣ Sam King and Gertrude (Mama King) had 13 children. One of them was Crystal Lee who was Joseph's mother.

♣ July Gale, whose nickname was Jack, was born at the beginning of 19th century. He was a shaman of Choctave tribe. He had a son Israel (later nicknamed Nero, but he was also called Son of Jack: Jack-son) with a slave.

♣ Nero had 21 children, 15 of them with Emmeline, a 3/4 Indian from Choctave tribe. Their two youngest children were twins. One of them was Samuel.

Samuel Jackson (1883 - 2.2.1992) was a teacher and married one of his students (she was 16), Crystal Lee King. They had 4 children.
