I was sitting on the floor, crying and still trying to process what I had heard from the elderlies a few minutes ago. On top of that, Meier immediately agreed to marry me! I couldn't believe it! I needed Michael so much right now.. I needed him desperately! Where was he? What was he doing now? God how I needed him!

KNOCK KNOCK

"It's Victor. May I come in?"

I heard his voice from the other side of the door. I quickly wiped away my tears, got up and opened the door.

"I need to talk to you." I nodded and he entered my room, closing the door behind him. "Why did your run away like this?"
"It was too much for me to handle..." I replied honestly.
"You don't want to marry Meier Link?" he asked directly.
"No."
"Why? I thought you two liked each other!"
"It's complicated..."
"I'm sure I can keep up!" he insisted to know.
"I don't love him.. he asked me to give him a chance, so I agreed, because I didn't want to hurt him, but it's not love!"
"Do you love Adamus then?"
"God no! Not him."
"Then who?"
"Michael." after a short pause he said
"Michael Dracula? Meier's brother?"
"Yes..." I whispered and he immediately placed his hand over his forehead. "We were going to get married! He's the only one for me and-"
"Shhh! Don't talk! I don't want anyone to hear that you had an affair with Meier's brother!"
"Once I return home, I'll be with him forever!"
"You cannot return home, foolish girl, this is your home!"
"It's not and I'm not going to marry Meier!"
"Very well. In this case, you can't stay here."
"And I don't want to!"
"You don't understand, do you.. you can't go back, you can't stay here, this means we'll have to kill you in order to cleanse yours and Meier's names."
"What? Are you insane?"
"Don't talk to me like that! Show some respect towards the people who are centuries older than you, girl! Now, I assume your decision will be to marry Meier. I'll let everyone know and we'll start preparing the royal engagement party."
"But-"
"It's either wedding or death." with this he left the room and closed the door behind him. 

How did I end up here? How was I going to marry Meier Link? I didn't love him and I was never going to be happy with him! The only man for me was Michael but if I didn't marry Meier, they were going to kill me! Oh Lord, please help me! Michael, where are you now? Please do something, love... 

The only hope I had now was for some miracle to happen but did miracles exist?

After a few hours of me being in my room crying and thinking about a way out of this, someone knocked on my door. 

"It's me, YN." it was Meier. He slowly opened the door and I used this moment to wipe away my tears before he got in. "I came to talk to you..."
"I don't have anything to say to you." I was sharp.
"I know you're very angry with me... and I know why but... I couldn't help it, YN! I love you! And on top of that if the elderlies say something, it must be done. I don't want to put you in danger by not doing what they want, which is you know... marriage." he came closer to me "I can make you happy, YN, if you just let me. If you're just willing to give us a try and let go of the past!"
"I can't let go of the past, Meier, the past is holding onto me."
"YN..." he placed his hand on my shoulder and I quickly moved away.
"Don't touch me!" I yelled.
"YN, I'm sorry..."
"You could have said you didn't want to marry me, but you didn't, although you knew I don't want this marriage! You're selfish!"
"YN, it was to protect you!"
"I'll never be a woman to you, Meier!"
"I understand..." he whispered and I could sense sadness in his voice. "But if you don't marry me, they'll kill you and I can't let that happen."

Then a thought occurred to me... if I married Meier, he was going to turn me into a vampire because his wife had to be one and if I were a vampire, I'd be very strong and also would be able to find a way out of this city once and for all. And once I've found a way, I'll go to Michael and kill anyone, who tried to stop me. 

"I'll marry you." I said.
"What?"
"I said I'll do it."
"Are you serious?" I nodded my head "I can't believe it! What made you change your mind like this?"
"Meier, I agree but...."
"But?"
"We'll be only friends in the marriage." when he heard that, his eyes suddenly stopped glistening with happiness.
"I'll be your friend but only until you fall in love with me and when that day comes, I'll become your man."
"Agree." that day will never come, bitch.
"I'll wait for as long as I have to! You've made me very happy, YN! You have no idea how happy I am right now! God, we have so much work to do! The engagement party then the-"
"No engagement party."
"But why?"
"I want to marry you now."
"Now?"
"Yes, now! As soon as possible!"
"Tonight?"
"Perfect! And one more thing... Will you turn me into a vampire?"
"When you become my wife, yes, but if you're not, I can't do it. We have strict rules here..."
"Fine. I want you to turn me into a vampire right after the wedding!" and then I am going to disappear from this stupid city forever.
"Whatever you say! I'll go and let everyone else know that the wedding will be tonight! And I'll send people to help you get ready and dress! Oh God, I'm so happy!"

You won't see me after you turn me into a vampire, Meier-liar-Link.

I was taking control of everything tonight.

The vampires, who worked at the castle, managed to prepare everything in just a few hours. After all, they were vampires and no one else was faster than them.

I wore a red dress, because the tradition here was to wear red at weddings. It symbolized blood and reign, so they said.

We got married according to their rituals from the city of night.

I was YN Meier Link Dracula now.

I was supposed to be YN Michael Dracula....

But that was okay because I was going to fix that tonight right after I became a vampire!

The vampires had gathered around us in a circle and we were in the middle of it. This was for the royal dance. I rolled my eyes and let Meier Link place his hands on my back and I placed mine on his chest. We begun dancing and the vampires started clapping in excitement. After the dance was over, vampires started coming to us to greet us.

"YN, Meier Link, congratulations!" Meier was smiling from ear to ear "You finally have a queen, Meier! I can't believe it!"
"Yes, you're right!" they were talking, but I didn't understand them anymore for something else grabbed my attention so suddenly...

I noticed a strange light in the very distance. I looked around to see if someone else had noticed it too, but the vampires were too busy talking to each other and celebrating.

What was that, I wondered? This was the first time I had ever seen a light here. Maybe it was coming from the lamps? But it didn't seem to be an artificial light...

"Don't you think so, YN? YN!?"
"What?"
"Didn't you hear us?" Meier asked.
"I'm sorry.. I was j-" suddenly a strong light covered the grounds of this planet and it became very bright! All the vampire started screaming and covering themselves, running around in panic! Meier quickly grabbed and pushed me on the ground, covering my body with his. But I wasn't scared and kept looking. I could also feel the air becoming hot as if there was a sun.

The panic slowly stopped and all the vampires started looking around, but it was really hard for them to even open their eyes, because they were so used to the darkness. I could hear everyone saying what is going on, what just happened and so on.

I got up gently pushing Meier off of me and looked around. Now I could see everything very clearly.

It looked like a normal day on the earth. It felt as if the sun was shining its light upon this planet! I just couldn't believe it! No one believed it! The vampires started covering themselves with hands and whatever clothes they had on them, their eyes were still struggling to open fully. Everyone was in shock of what had just happened!

"Stay near me, YN!" Meier commanded. Then I suddenly got it...
"It's the portal..."
"What?" he said.
"The portal! It's now open!" I screamed out loud and everyone looked at me.
"It's impossible!" the elderlies said.
"It is!" Michael must have done something to open it, I was sure of it! "I can feel it!"

I was so filled with hope right now, knowing that Michael had been doing everything he could to open the portal and bring me back to him!

"The rocket..." I continued "Let's go there!"
"YN, this could be dangerous!" Meier tried to stop me. "I can't let you go!"
"I'll be with her!" Adamus jumped in "I want to return home too and I think that YN is right."

Wow.. I couldn't believe it! Adamus was on my side!

"I don't want to stay here anymore! I'm starving!" he went on.
"Then it's decided. We're going." I said and went over to Adamus.
"I'll come with you." Meier Link said.
"But Meier, you can't!" the elderlies stepped in "You're the leader, you can't just leave everyone!"
"We need to know what's going on!" he replied "I have to find out if the portal really is open, because if it is, we'll all return to our homes! And besides, what kind of a leader would I be, if I didn't go to find out what's really going on! It's decided. If anyone else wants to join us, you're very welcome." a few more vampires said that they'd come to protect me and Meier. "If the portal really is open, I'll return for all of you, I promise that! Let's go."

We went to the spot, on which the rocket we came with was situated. We didn't have any stuff to take with us, so we just got in after Meier made sure it was going to work properly.

My whole body was shivering with both fear and excitement. Excitement because I couldn't wait to finally see Michael's face and jump in his arms and fear, because there was always a room for failure, which would mean, the rocket wouldn't work or the portal was still closed.

We all got ready for departure and Adamus started the rocket.

It worked!

The rocket was unspeakably fast! I could only feel Meier putting his arms around me to hold me in place and next thing I knew everything went dark.

When I opened my eyes I realized I must have fainted because of the extremely high speed.

"YN! YN!" Meier Link was desperately trying to bring me back into consciousness. "Thank God! You're okay! Right?"
"What happened? Are we home?" that was all I wanted to know.
"Yes, we just landed and Adamus is trying to open the door." I quickly jumped on my feet "Wait! You're still weak!" but I ignored him. The only thing I wanted now was Michael.
"I opened it!" Adamus yelled and we all stood in front of the door. I pushed everyone out of the way and opened it.

There was smoke everywhere surrounding the rocket, so I started coughing, but ignored that and got out of it. Adamus followed me. Meier was telling me to wait and stuff, but I wouldn't listen to him. I covered my nose with my hand and made my way through the smoke.

"Where are we?" I asked Adamus, who was next to me. He was having a hard time seeing to, but since he was a vampire, his eyes figured it out.
"Transylvania! At the duchess' castle!" the smoke slowly begun clearing up and in the very far distance I saw a silhouette.

Oh my God.. it was him!

I started running as fast as I could and heard the person in front of me in the distance yell

"YN!" I immediately recognized Michael's voice. Oh Lord! I begun running faster! He was there, right in front of me, just a few more steps, I couldn't believe it! He was running towards me too.
"Michael!"
"YN!" his arms were open for me and there was a huge smile on his face as he was running towards me.

Our bodies finally became one as I wrapped my arms tightly around him and he wrapped his around me! That was a moment of pure ecstasy!

The way his body felt against mine, the way his hair felt on my face, the way he smelt... my heart was going to explode.

"Is this real?" Michael spoke "Are you really here!" he broke the hug to look at me and started touching me. "Is this a dream?"
"No, it's me, I'm here! I'm finally here!" then I noticed Gilbert in the back and next to him some woman.
"Your spell worked." Gilbert said to her. I knew it, Michael did something to open the portal!
"I missed you terribly, YN! You don't know, you have no idea!" Michael started crying and so did I.
"Michael, I missed you every day.. I never gave up and-" we got interrupted by Adamus behind us.

"It's good to be home!" he said with a cheerful voice.
"Adamus..." Michael said "I'll deal with you later, because I'm too happy to kill you right now!" Adamus laughed.

Then I heard Meier's voice.

"YN!"

I froze.

I had forgotten all about Meier when I saw Michael.

Michael's face suddenly changed and the smile disappeared.

"Meier Link..." he whispered, looking behind me. I turned around and saw Meier standing behind us, looking at me and his brother "You.. You alive!"
"Yes... brother."
"How.. "
"It's a long story."
"I can't believe it! My brother is alive! I thought everyone else from the family had died that night!" Michael walked over to him and pulled Meier into his arms. "I'm so happy right now! My brother is here too!" the other vampires came too "Are you from the city?" Michael asked them and they nodded, looking around mesmerized by our planet. "You're welcome!"
"So, Michael, aren't you going to congratulate your brother?" Adamus begun before anyone could say anything.
"What? Congratulate him?"
"Oh of course.. you don't know!"
"Adamus, this is not the time for games!" Michael said.
"YN, come here!" Meier said and Michael looked at him in a very weird and confused way.

I was petrified, I couldn't even move. Michael didn't know about me and Meier! If I had known that we would return, I would never have married Meier! What had I done?!!

"Meier and YN got married!" Adamus said and Michael's face changed completely. It became cold.
"Adamus, don't talk nonsense, or I'll kill you right now." Michael replied with a very scary voice.
"He's telling the truth, brother." Meier said "YN is my wife."
