Read to find out where did Michael's brother come from!!! And what does the city of night look like??

"WAIT!" they looked at him "Don't touch her! Because Meier Link... she is.. she is... your brother's fiancée."

WHAT???

I could feel that Meier Link's eyes fixated on me now.

Everybody stood there just staring at me in silence.

I looked up at Meier Link, who was also staring at me... but with curiosity now.

"My b-brother..." he said "He's alive?"
"Oh yes he is!" Adamus said and rolled his eyes "He's more than alive..."
"Let's go!" he motioned with his hand "I'll take you home.. you must be tired and you got wounds. They need to be cleaned."
"Meier Link!" one vampire said "Are you gonna take the human to your home?!! She's a HUMAN and we're hungry!" then everybody begun protesting, saying they want to eat me and attacking Meier Link for not letting them to do so.
"SHUT UP!" he said "She knows my brother! We've spent centuries without human blood, we don't need it now. Okay now go home, the show is over!" they all listened to him so I assumed he must be their leader.

"My castle is a few jumps from here." he pointed in the great distance.
"You are forgetting, Meier Link, that humans don't jump like us." Adamus reminded him.

Meier Link looked at me for a seconds and seemed buried in deep thoughts, then said

"I have forgotten what humans were like completely..." he looked away "All this time here..."
"Your dear brother and his dog Gilbert used to carry her like a backpack whenever they jumped." seemed like Adamus had returned to himself completely.
"What's a backpack?"
"This is going to be a long day..." Adamus sighed.
"Then you carry her!"
"I can't do that, my wounds haven't healed yet!" Adamus shook his head. I didn't wanna be carried by Adamus either! This was all his fault! If it wasn't for his stupid ass, I'd be with Michael right now!

But I wasn't going to give up. I didn't care they kept saying that there was no way of returning back! I was sure there was and I was determined to find it. I only hoped Michael was waiting for me... What was he doing now?

"I'll c-carry you..." Meier Link said. "Come." I approached him and stood behind him, but didn't know what to do..

He was so tall like Michael! But when Michael used to carry me, he'd first fall on his knees so that I can get on top of him.

I felt like Meier Link didn't know what to do. Maybe he hasn't carried anyone before?

"Mmhh.. I ah.." I stuttered.
"You what?" he turned his head backwards, but not completely.
"You're very tall, I can't..."
"Oh!" then he spun around and simply grabbed my body and lifted me up with his hands wrapped around my legs. I thought he was going to bent so I could get on his back!

I placed my hands on his broad shoulder for support, because I was scared he was going to drop me! It was obvious this man hasn't carried a living soul in his life! It felt so unnatural, but before I was able to protest, he jumped really high and off we went.

I was so scared to even open my eyes, because I didn't feel stable in his hands.

When I felt him land, I was so happy that this was finally over! He placed me on the ground and I looked in front of me.

He had a small castle... I couldn't see everything very well, because it was dark and the light from the stars wasn't enough.

"Let's go inside. We have a lot to talk." he said and we followed him inside.

There was no lightning in the castle! No lamps!

This was so weird to me, but I guessed vampires could see in the darkness perfectly. I almost tripped over something once, but Meier Link was kind enough to ask his servant to light a few candles for me.

He took us in a room that looked like a living room with a huge sofa in it, a big, red carpet and a fireplace - that was it. He invited us to sit and started shooting questions.

"How is my brother, Michael??"
"He's fine. We all had no idea that you had survived, Meier Link."
"Michael told me that all his sibling were dead.." I said.
"So he didn't know..." he whispered to himself.
"Know what?" I asked.
"I suppose he must have told you about our family being chased..."
"He did."
"Well, I managed to escape. And the only way I could have survived was to come live here. I thought Michael had died too, so there was no reason for me to remain there..." he sighed "However, I didn't know I could never return back." he looked completely sad. The fire from the fire place casted a gentle light on his face. Now I could see him better...

His skin and hair were snow white.

The hair was short and curly at the ends. His body was like Michael's - tall, slim and very masculine. He was well-dressed too, had a very similar face shape to Michael's, his chin, lips.. there was a huge resemblance... and the eyes.. when I looked into his eyes...

I saw Michael.

They had the very same eyes.

If Meier Link's hair was black and long...

"Do I look like him a lot?"
"Excuse me?"
"Do I look like my brother a lot?" he must have noticed me staring at him.
"Yeah.." I nodded, thinking about Michael.
"I haven't seen him in ages... So you're his fiancée?"
"Yes."
"But I don't understand... why isn't he with you then? And why would you come here in the first place and with..." he looked at Adamus "Adamus?!"
"That's a very long story... "I said "I was supposed to come with Michael, but things didn't work out.." I said with pain in my voice.
"Why?" he curiously asked.
"Meier Link, you have no idea what your brother did." Adamus jumped in "Simply no idea..."

"Excuse me, sir. The blood for Adamus is ready." the servant came in.
"Finally! I'm really hungry!"
"Go eat. You need to regain your strength." Meier Link said and Adamus didn't wait for a second invitation. He got up and followed the servant "You'll have to tell me what humans eat because I have no idea!" he told me.

Now it was the two of us alone in the room.

"Meier Link, I can't eat... The only thing I want is to return home! Please help me!" I begged.
"I'm sorry, YN... " he whispered and I could feel tears forming in my eyes.
"I can't believe it.." my voice was shaking "I need to go back to him! I can't stay here! This is all Adamus' fault!"
"Why?"
"That's a long story... please don't ask me now, because I am too upset!" I couldn't hold back the tears anymore, so they begun falling down like rivers.

I didn't care that Meier Link was watching. All I cared about was going back to Michael!

I could feel my face becoming red from the crying. Meier Link just stood there watching me with a facial expression I could not read. I covered my eyes with my hands for more privacy and next thing I felt was someone sitting next to me. I opened my eyes and saw Meier Link a few inches before my face. He was looking at me as if I was some new invention to examine. This made me feel very strange... my privacy had just been violated.

He then extended his left hand and brought it to my face. I begun shivering since I had no idea what he was about to do! I felt my muscles tense up and my heart started beating faster. His hand was coming closer to me and I started shifting backwards, but there was nowhere to go.

Finally he placed his index finger under my eye and gently rubbed the wet area to transfer a tear on his finger.

He removed his wet finger from my face and brought it closer to his eyes for examination.

"So this is what tears look like..." he whispered, looking at his finger as if he had never before seen a tear. Then he rubbed his index finger over the thumb and looked at me "You must be very precious to my brother?" I didn't replied, because I was petrified. He was so close that I could see his fangs "Don't worry. I won't let a single vampire harm you." then he placed his hand on my shoulder and squeezed it so hard I jumped. "Oh excuse me! You are very fragile! Your skin is very thin and soft... " he sniffed in the air, approaching my face "And you smell good." I immediately jumped back, but he laughed silently and said "I won't eat you, I promise! I gave you my word to protect you, but..."
"But?"
"I want you to tell me everything about my brother in return! And then... how the two of you met and... fell in ll... l-love..." he fire glistened in his eyes.
