City of the night was inspired by the anime 'vampire hunter D', just so you know :D

"Have you heard of the City of the Night?" Michael asked. The small leaves of the bushes of the labyrinth rustle as the cold wind blew through them.
"City of the night?" what was that? "No, I haven't... in which state is that city?" Michael laughed out loud. "Why are you laughing?" I didn't like that laugh.
"Because this city isn't in any state of America, nor it is on our planet."
"WHAT? It's not on our planet??"
"Exactly. It lays beyond the stars and it is even older than me." my jaw literally dropped and of course, I became very curios to know about it.
"Really? How is this possible?" my eyes became big and sparkly.
"Well, there was this legend long time ago before I became a creature of the night..."
"What legend?! Tell me! Tell me!"
"Hahaha of course I'll tell you, YN!" he laughed at my curiosity "During the time I was in my 20s, people strongly believed in the existence of witches and the supernatural. They used to say that a bunch of very powerful witches established this city as their hideout."
"Why would they hide there?"
"Because during the times when I was young, witches weren't accepted very nicely... once the people found out there was a which among them, she was caught and burnt to dust immediately. Seemed like witches wanted to escape their fate and created this city. Once a witch was discovered, she was to escape and hide herself in the city of the night."
"So in this city, there are many witches?"
"Not anymore, YN. Things have changed a lot... many years later, after I became a vampire and had turned many other humans into vampires, some of them became tired of living among humans... they didn't want to hide anymore. So when they heard about the city of the night, they decided to go there too."
"So vampires and witches live together there?"
"No... the witches didn't want to mix with vampires, we don't like each other very much. They told the vampires not to come to the city, but of course, my kind didn't listen..."
"And what happened next?"
"Vampires started flying to the city and when the witches tried to make them leave, a fight exploded. It was a bloody fight they say..."
"So you weren't there?"
"No, I never witnessed it. During that time I was busy with other stuff and I had zero interested in that city."
"And who won the fight?"
"It turned out that vampires were stronger than witches. In the end, all the witches in the city were murdered."
"Couldn't they have returned to earth or something? Instead of dying?"
"Well..." he sighed "there is this tiny problem..."
"What is it?"
"Once you've entered the city of the night, there is no turning back."

Meanwhile, Washington

"You saw it with your own eyes, Frank. Now you know I wasn't lying." Adamus calmly said. He was sitting in the big, comfy chair in the living room of their council house. He was looking at his nails to check if they were sharp enough because tonight he was going to go out in the city to hunt. The smell of YN's body has turned his senses wild and he needed to taste blood, even if it wasn't hers. Damn Dracula was guarding her really well. If it wasn't for him, Adamus would have gladly drunken her sweet blood by now.
"I know, Adamus." Frank replied. A few vampires, Marion, Adamus and the oldest remained after the meeting to decided what to do next with Michael and YN. "I also know we can't let things be that way. It seems our father has lost his common sense."
"I agree! This is disgrace to our race and bible!"
"What bible?! He burnt it down, remember not?" Marios reminded his fellows vampires.
"Unfortunately, I do. This was the worst part of it all! I could have probably forgiven him that he came here with a human, but to burn our bible like that... it was outrageous!"
"Forgive him for taking a human here? For showing a human our secret place?! I don't think so. As a matter of fact, I think Dracula should no longer be our leader!"
"How can you say that? He wasn't chosen as a leader so he can't be declined as a leader! He is our creator for goodness sake!" Frank said.
"Our own creator has turned against us, his creations! This is a sin! The worst of all sins! He prefers the human."
"We can't let him be at the top anymore... we have to take him down."
"Are you suggesting to murder him?" Franks asked.
"Yes, Frank, I am."
"You can't murder the father!"
"Of course we can! If we all stand against him, he'll stand no chance. Of course, we'll have to come up with a plan first..."

Now that was what Adamus had been waiting to hear.

"Very true, my dear friends!" he was devilishly smiling. "Dracula can no longer be our leader. I say we kill him and find another leader! Someone who is truly devoted to vampires!"

This was the moment he had been waiting for! This was his chance to become the leader of all vampires and to take Dracula's castle and everything else he owned.

"Adamus is very right. We have to murder Dracula and then we will select a new leader!"
"And how exactly are you going to do this?" Marion said "Do you know what will happen if we don't succeed? We will all end up dead. He is going to slaughter us. Also, don't forget that he has his faithful dog, Gilbert, with him!"
"I know, Marion, I know.... we have to strike at his heart, where his weakness lays... As for Gilbert, he's only a werewolf, he doesn't have Dracula's powers."
"His weakness?"
"YN... we'll kill her first and he'll watch her die in his hands, unable to save her. This will weaken him and give us a chance to strike!"
"What if her death fills him pure rage?? This would only make him stronger!" Marion said.
"When the rage was born from pain, my dear Marion, it doesn't make you stronger."
"I agree!" Adamus jumped in "We kill the girl first and I can do that for you! I'll suck her tasty blood in no time right in front of her beloved Dracula!" he licked his lips at the though of her blood.
"Good. We're going to have to call the council again to plan out the whole thing, we have to perform it perfectly. There is no room for mistakes! And of course, no one must tell Dracula about the council meeting we are about to organize."

YN's POV

"What do you mean there is no turning back?"
"No witch or vampire has ever returned from the city of the night. They know how to get there, but it seems nobody knows how to return. Once you get there, it's forever."
"So if we go there we ...."
"Yes, YN, we stay there forever. That's why I wanted to talk to you... If you come there with me, you'll never be able to see this world again! You'll have to part with your father forever... I know this is too much to ask for and I'll understand if you say no."
"Can't we take him with us?"
"I'm sorry, love, but we can't... humans aren't really allowed there, you'll be an exception because I'll make you my bride, but other humans we can't take with us..."

Leave this world forever? Never see my friends of father?

How can I do this? How can I leave my dad behind? I only have him and he only has me! How will I live without him and how is he gonna live without me?

Then I have Michael whom I also love from the bottom of my heart and I can't leave him either! I can't give up on him because he is my happiness! What was I going to do now? How could I make such a difficult choice??

"YN... there is one more thing..." I looked at Michael, waiting for him to speak "You have to decide tonight. We don't have much time... the vampires will probably come to kill me very soon."
