Plot: Alyssa misses Aldor while he is still out traveling the world. But they can still be together by the memories they had.

Alyssa's POV:

"When are you coming back home?" I half whine and half shout as I talk to Andor over video chat. He has been gone for over three months, and I still miss him a ton.

"I'll be home soon little bat. I wouldn't leave you forever." He gives a reassuring smile and thumbs up. I return the smile and twirl around a flower in my hand. I place it back over with my other flowers that I use to make flower crowns with. Quite a fun hobby to have.

"Wow did some other guy swing in and take your heart while I was gone? I am hurt!" He dramatically holds his hand over his chest and gasps. I giggle and shake my head while blushing. Once you get to know him well enough, you find out he can be very sarcastic.

"You're the only guy who has taken my heart. Speaking of swinging in do you mind swinging by and taking me with you." He laughs and shakes his head.

"You know your father would kill me if I just stopped by and was like, 'Hey Mr. Screziato! I decided to stop by and take your daughter along with me to travel the world! She will be fine. See you soon Mr. Screziato.'" I giggled and looked at the screen for a second.

"His reaction to us dating was bad enough." The day we told him we were dating he literally almost threw a fit. It took him a while to warm up to the idea. After that Andor basically lectured by Dad about 'if you hurt my little girl you will regret it'. He can be a bit overprotective at sometimes. It's nice to know he cares though and I can go to him for everything.

Andor laughs and nods. "I'll be back home soon though. Also I can stop by Urulu to come visit." My face lights up with joy when I hear that. A 'short three months' is three months too long. I still miss him a lot. Suddenly I hear a knock on my door. Dad peeps his head in.

"Alyssa you should be going to sleep by now. I'll give you time to say goodbye to your boyfriend. Goodnight Alyssa. Andor you better let her hang up. I giggle and say bye to him. The laptop shuts down and I run over to him.

"Goodnight Daddy. I love you. Also Andor said yes sir and hello." He smiles and kisses my head. His arms wrap around me and I hug him back. I smile back at him. It's been the same nightly routine ever since I could remember.

"Goodnight little bat. I love you too." I step back and he closes the door. I place the flower crown I still had on my head on the nightstand. My eyes close to let the dark and night take me to the next day.

I wake up the next day to the bright sun shining through my window. With Urulu being in the middle of a desert it is normally sunny. I check the time to make sure I didn't sleep in too much. As I check my phone I see its 11:30. Crap! Dad will not be happy about this.

I hurry to get dressed and ready for the day. I run downstairs in a white tank top and shorts all while attempting to keep the flower crown on my head from falling off. The plan fails at the end of the stairs with it falling against a step while I make my steps quicker. Forget it for now. I expect to see him sitting mad except I find a note instead.

Alyssa,

I saw you were asleep, so I decided to leave you here. Uncle Dia called me in for work reasons early. I probably won't be home until late tonight. Sorry. There are two things I need you to do for me. One, go to the market and buy chicken and some vegetables for tonight. Second, there is supposed to be someone coming later today. Make sure to answer the door for them. They know where the spare key is if you aren't home.

I make a check list in my mind of what I need to do. Chicken, vegetables, guest. Got it. In case the guest comes while I am gone, I decide to write a note to tell them where I am.

Went out to the market. I'll be back soon.

I leave the letter on the counter and go outside. The market isn't really that far from our house. A few minutes of walking I see the outdoor market. I had always loved it here. People rushing around, everyone selling stuff, a feeling of rush. At the same time there is the feeling of warmth and welcoming.

I walk over to the butcher to get a chicken. He looks at me kinda surprised. Normally seventeen year olds don't come by themselves to get things. He is an old friend of Dad's so he knows who I am. We exchange hellos and he gives me the chicken. I thank him and place it in my bag.

"How's the prince doing A?"

"He's doing well. Last I heard Andor was in Obesler. He will probably be home in the next month or so." He nods and smiles.

"When you two were little bits I remember seeing y'all at the farm when I went to collect the meat. You were normally helping out or playing with the animals. Hugging sheep or getting messy in the pig pin. That's only the start of it. The farmer and I would always mention how you two would probably date when you were older. Looks like we were right." He laughs. We did a lot of things as kids. I remember once we were riding the horses then I fell off. I broke my arm. Andor wouldn't leave my side all day.

Next I walk over to the vegetable stand. The lady there has known me since Mot first adopted me. She's really nice and kinda funny.

"Miss Alyssa! How are you doing today sweetie?" she asks. I get a smile and hug from her.

"I'm doing well Mrs. Jess. Uncle Dia called in Dad to work early. He wanted me to get some vegetables for tonight. Any suggestions for things to go well with chicken?" Mrs. Jess turns around and looks through her vegetables.

"Hmm. Try squash and zucchini. They go great together. Also a potato for mashed potatoes. Grill the chicken then ta da dinner!" She hands me the zucchini, squash, and potatoes. I place them inside my bag and hand her the money. I get my change back and another hug.

"How is your boyfriend doing?"

"Andor is doing fine. Still traveling and visiting places. He might come visit some time soon though which is exciting. It would be nice to see him for the first time in three months." I smile at the thought of seeing him again.

"The prince is quite the explorer. The fact that he did that instead of taking over Dagrun like his father never surprised me. You two would be looking around everywhere when the two of you were younger." I laugh at the memory. It was fun to run around town exploring. Once we accidentally walked into someone's house. That didn't end well.

"He is. That's why I love him. I have to go though. It was great talking to you."

"You too Miss Alyssa! I hope to see you later."

"You too Mrs. Jess!" I yelled as I waved bye. I never got lunch so I find a place selling food. I get a chicken salad sandwich and lemonade. After finishing that I sit around to relax. I check the time to see when I should go home. It's currently 2:30. I left the house around 12 or 12:15. I might have time to look around a bit before the guest come.

I look around the crafts and fashion part of the market. This place always some interesting things. I actually was able to sell flower crowns here once. As I look around I see jewelry, shirts, paintings, and even a place where you can get something monogrammed. I decide to use my extra money to get a monogram cup with ASB on it. I keep looking and talking for so long that it's 4 by the time I get home.

I reach for my key to unlock the door. The door apparently must be unlocked already. The extra key is missing too. The guest must came already. I open the door with one hand while the other holds my bag. As I look around it looks exactly the same. The only thing missing was my flower crown that previously fell off my head this morning. I guess they must be upstairs or in a different room right now.

I head upstairs to my room. My door was slightly opened. Huh weird. I open it slowly. "Hello?" I say.

"Hello CB," a familiar voice says. I look up to see Andor sitting on my bed. He has my blue and white flower crown in his lap and a rose siting next to him. I run over to him with open arms. He engulfs me in the hug I have been waiting for since the day he left. I lightly kiss him and smile. I still feel the sparks from the first time I kissed him. We keep lightly kissing. Then I lean my head against his chest. The familiar outdoors smell still sticks with him.

"I've missed you so much," I say quietly.

"I have too babe. How was shopping?"

"Fun. Everyone kept asking about you."

"Oh really? Well we might need to go exploring again." I smile big. He laughs and kisses my forehead.

"When?"

"Right now"

Ok so people say "Don't go grocery shopping hungry!" Well can someone make that a rule for writing. I happened to be writing the market part before eating dinner. BAD CHOICE!
