Erika's POV

It's a stressful day as usual, I have to finish this project soon because I'm missing my family. This merging project is really important to my company and I'm glad because we will gonna finish it.

I exasperatedly sighed, I miss my family but I'm doing this for us. I want them to have a good life so I'm working hard to fulfill my responsibilities. I know, they will understand me.

I admit it... since this project started a month ago, I became busy as ever.

I didn't expect that to have normal life like this was exhausting. Working is not just easy like everyone thought. You need to exert a lot of efforts, knowledge and time to it.

You need to be patient, resourceful, flexible and also, to deal with other people and their shits.

This world is scary but you just need to be brave and go with its flow.

I know how to deal with myself especially, my feelings but I'm just a human too, I need my family so I'm doing this project as fast as I can.

And also, I need to make it up to my wife. I bought us plane tickets to Paris. It's one of her dreams, to go to Paris and I will grant it. It's my gift for our 18th anniversary.

I want us to have quality time like honeymoon. I'm so excited with our short vacay, this will be fun.

I pulled a box from my drawer and opened it. It's a couple of necklaces with lock and key pendants. This is also my gift to my loving and caring wife, Pani. I'm sure she will like this.

And I will make her nights in Paris unforgettable, I will make her scream my name.

*insert byuntae* I giggled at my own thought.

My family makes my mood up and they make me feel better whenever I feel weak and stress. Just thinking about them motivates me at work.

I need to finish this project tonight, you can do it Erika!

Then someone barged in my office without my permission but when I saw who they are, my face lit up and I'm energized.

"Sorry ma'am, they insisted to go here. I tried to stop them but they won't listen." Jenny, my secretary said. She didn't know that they're my daughters.

"It's okay Jenny, they are my daughters. You can go now. Thank you."

Jenny bowed down to me, she closed the door as she left us.

I stood up and walked to them, my daughters are here to visit me. Maybe they missed me too.

"Irene, Mi young, I'm happy you came here."

I tried to hug Irene but she moved away, I frowned. Mi young wasn't looking at me.

"What's wrong?" I looked at them, they looked angry especially, Irene.

Irene glared at me "What's wrong with you?" She said rudely.

I cocked my brow "Excuse me Irene? I think it's inappropriate how the way you talk to your mother."

"Oh so, you are my mother huh?" Irene said. I don't know why she's acting like this.

"What's your problem?" I asked. Irene is so me.

"You! You're the problem here!" She shouted and my face scrunched up. How disrespectful twit!

"Irene..." Mi young softly said.

"How could you shout at me huh?" I glared at Irene and she flinched slightly.

"You make my Mama cry and I hate you!" Irene roared.

Tiffany? What? She's crying because of me?

"Ma always wait you every night. Sometimes, or let's say, most of the time she sleep in the living room because she's waiting for you but you didn't go home! You're always busy! You don't have time for your family! What? We're not important to you? And that secretary? You're flirting with her? Huh?" Irene blustered.

I gritted my teeth as I slapped her on cheek, I can't control my anger but I immediately regret my action.

"I'm sorry Irene but, do you think I like this huh? I'm doing this for our family, to give you a good life! It's hard for me too! I also miss you but I have to stay here for our business! And I'm not flirting with anyone, I love your Ma!" I scolded her.

"Oh yeah? You love her? I don't think so. We didn't ask you to do all of this! And this is just your business, not ours! I hate you! You don't deserve Ma Tiffany!" After that, Irene rushed out. Her words stabbed me to my heart.

"Irene didn't mean that Mom, I'm sorry. She's just mad because we miss you. Please Mom, we need you, come back soon." Mi young sadly said then she left my office.

Pani is hurt.

Pani is crying because of me.

I was neglecting my family?

My legs became jelly as I managed to walk and sit on the couch, fuck. 

I'm so fucked up!

Why I didn't realize it? I'm so selfish to think that they will always understand me. My Pani is suffering in our relationship, I don't want that.

What will I do? 

I raked my fingers through my hair "You messed it up again, Erika."
