(Rescued)

It had been almost a year since you started working at the local pet clinic. You loved the animals but sometimes you saw heartbreaking things.

This was one of those times.

A young man had brought in a black cat saying that he had found it next to the road. Just from looking at the cat you could tell it must have some internal bleeding.

"I don't know how much I can do." You said grimily. It was your job to be the bad person sometimes.

"Please just do what you can. I'll pay."

You looked at the blonde male. He seemed really worried.

"Alright here give it to me."

He very gently handed you the cat and you hurried back to start surgery.

*Time skip*

You had successfully saved the cat. It would have to stay a couple nights here but then it would be free to go.

You walked out to the waiting room expecting the man to be gone but to your surprise he was still waiting there.

"Hello. The cat you rescued is going to make it. She will have to stay here a couple more days but other than that she will be okay."

Relief seemed to wash over him. "Oh thank goodness. I didn't see a collar. Do you think she has a owner?"

"No alot of animals are put out on the streets. Plus her claws have never been clipped. I assume she's wild."

He nodded along to what you were saying. Then he finally responded with "If she has no owner what would one do to adopt her?"

"Are you interested?"

You watched as he twiddled his thumbs and thought for a second. "Yes I'd like to adopt her please."

You nodded retrieving the necessary paperwork. "Alright fill all these out then come to the front desk so we can put the payment through."

He took the paper and started to fill it out as you went back to your desk taking care of things that your job required you to take care of.

Not long after he walked up putting the clip board Infront of you.

"Thankyou Mr. ..." You glanced at the name on the paper. "Mr. Kaminari. I hope you and this cat will be very good friends."

"Thankyou. I hope so too. Also you can call me Denki. I'll drop by tomorrow to see chu okay?"

"Chu?"

"That's the name I choose for my cat."

"Very well. When you come back you can look at collars and leashes. As well as beds. I can also help you track down come food."

"Thankyou that would be really awesome..."

"(Y/n)"

"That would be really awesome (y/n). Alright bye now." He waved as he exited the clinic.

You rolled your eyes as you finished the rest of your tasks and checked on chu one last time before heading home.

The next day had went fairly normal. Kids coming in wanting bunnies and kittens. Lonely old ladies searching for cats.

Then he bounced in changing the whole atmosphere with his big smile and bright eyes.

"Hiya (y/n) I'm here to see chu."

You smiled "alright here she's this way." You told your work partner to handle the other customer as you lead the man to the cats room.

He walked over to the black lump of fur petting it. It purred in response.

"Seems she likes you. It's a good thing you adopted her."

He smiled happily. "Yeah I really like cats. Plus since her name is chu if I sat it fast enough. Like this is my catchu it will sound like achoo. Like a sneeze."

Saying it to yourself you began to giggle "Thats clever. She is gonna have a great home. You can take her the day after tomorrow."

He nodded excitedly. "Thankyou alot for taking care of her."

You smiled kindly at him. "Of course. I love helping animals."

He stood up coming over to you. "I uh...well um...would you maybe like to go out for some coffee? After you get off work?"

A soft blush crept up your face. He was a handsome boy and it wouldn't be horrible to date him right.

"Alright."

His eyes seemed to sparkle with excitement. "Okay. I'll hang out in here with chu then while you work."

"Okay."

*Another time skip brought to you by catchu*

"Bye chu" Kaminari said giving the cat a kiss on the head getting a purr in response. He walked out seeing (y/n) grabbing their things.

"Ready to go?"

"Yes."

After a short awkward walk you two ended up at a cafe you had been to many times.

The people even knew you by name and greeted you with happy waves and free coffee.

You smiled happily as you say down. Kaminari sitting across from you.

"The coffee is really good here." You said.

"Yeah but I'm not as interested in the coffee as I am in you. Why did you become a veterinarian?"

You explained your live for animals as well as wanting to help and how your mother had also been one.

You two talked for hours enjoying the others company and not running out of topics to discuss.

Sadly the manager of the cafe no matter how nice he was and how much he adored you as a customer he had to close at some point.

So now you were standing Infront of your house with a blonde boy saying his goodbye to you.

"Thanks for walking me home."

"Anytime (y/n)." He paused for a second seeming to think something over. "Please dont get mad."

Before you could as what he meant he leaned closer and closer and then you felt his lips meet yours. The kiss was sweet and short and it filled you with energy.

"Why would I be mad?" You smiled and pulled him down for one last quick kiss before hurrying inside.

You smiled silently thanking chu for having such a incredible owner.
