Messaged and missed
(Warning!: This is super sad and will include: cyber bullying, bullying, hidden love, and thoughts of suicide. Read at your own risk!)
Uraraka bit her lip silently thinking to herself how pathetic she seemed, at the beginning of the year she had a clear goal and a plan to get to it now she was at a loss. Why? A angry blonde asshole had somehow managed to catch her eye.
He wasn't nice to anyone and yet he secretly was in the best way. Every mean comment made her work harder to prove him wrong and he knew that. She herself didn't even put the pieces together till recently when he had gotten a girlfriend and made her jealous. It was like every memory suddenly made sense.
Her head snapped up as the bell rung signaling the end of her class and pulling her out of her thoughts about the boy. His name was Katsuki Bakugo and she was convinced she'd never have him. Not only was she not competitive or had any knowledge about men, but she would never try to break up a relationship that seemed happy.
She stood up gathering her stuff before the teacher noticed her distant eyes and distracted face. No one ever needed to know what she was feeling and honestly the thought of someone making fun of her frightened her more than villains.
She took a deep breath as she walked out of the room and made her way through the crowded halls of U.A. to her locker. Her eyes looking at the other people in her school, some she recognized, most she didn't.
Her gaze stopped when it landed on a girl, maybe three feet away staring directly at her with a evil glare. As far as Uraraka could remember she had never met this girl and there was no reason for her to get such a nasty look.
She stopped in front of her locker ignoring the other girls stare as she switched her books and grabbed her pencils, as soon as the door closed she jumped. The girl was now right next to her and she still didn't seem friendly.
"Im sorry did i-"
"Shut up you little slut. My names Towa Higurashi and I'm sick of you making googly eyes at my boyfriend. Keep your dirty thoughts locked up or else. You don't want to mess with me."
Urarakas mouth hung open in shock from not only being called such a horrible word but just the sheer change in the air. The girl was a little taller than her with long black hair and blue eyes, she was pretty but no one should talk to her like that.
"Look I don't know who you are or what your talking about but please leave me alone and don't call me that."
Towa laughed like a evil which who had heard a bad joke before going dead serious as she flicked her hair behind her shoulder. "Oh please you've got to be kidding me. Im dating Katsuki and considering who you are i think I have every right to call you the nastiest words I can think of."
Yet again the poor brown haired girl was speechless, only this time she now felt guilty. Had she really been so obvious with her crush? As soon as Bakugo told everyone she'd made it a point to stay as far away from him as possible and tried to not even glance at him. The last thing she wanted was a fight.
"They aren't dirty thoughts...but I understand."
"Good. Oh before I go, you should really give up on the idea of finding love. He told me about how you haven't dated anyone yet and honestly it's a tell for the future. Stop trying your just embarrassing yourself and others."
Uraraka swallowed hard, feeling a lump gather in her throat and tears start to well up against her will. Her heart was hurting and all she could do was nod like it was nothing. She didn't even answer properly, she just left unable to say anything without her voice cracking.
The rest of the day went by slowly and she kept a fake smile plastered to her face so no one would ask questions. The second she was alone she let everything fall to the ground and she dropped to her knees sobbing loudly as the wet droplets splashed on her clothes.
She sucked in a sharp breath as her phone buzzed next to her, no one should be texting her right now all her friends usually did homework at this time. Her vision was blurred as she reached for the device and entered her pin.
The screen unlocked and showed a message from a unknown number though she automatically knew who it was. It made her feel like she had needles poking into her and her stomach felt queasy.
Hi! Me again. Sorry about the whole you will never find love thing. I probably shouldn't be so blunt with a poor girl...you already have enough issues don't you? With your family being in debt and all? Bet this school is expensive too.
Uraraka wiped her tears away with her arm and sniffled as she read the words over again. How did Towa know about this? Why would she even bring it up? Did she know it would hurt?
Why are you doing this? Just leave me alone.
No that's not how this works. Im trying to help you. I know a way you could make some money for your family and end all the costs for school...
...What is it?
The brown haired girl knew she was probably making a deal with a demon but her mind wasn't in the right place and the thought of saving her family was to enticing for her to just ignore.
The school pays money to students who die in training. It's a large amount, enough to give your parents a comfortable life and with you gone they no longer need to pay for classes. Im not saying you should kill yourself though. Don't do that...
Uraraka looked up from her phone, her normally bright posters seeming dull and her brain filled with what would happen if she died. Her parents would get over it and the school would pay them, she remembered it from orientation. Could she really go through with it though? How would she do it?
Hello?
How would I do it..
I could help. All you have to do is at training tomorrow...fall into the water. There's a machine down there that changed the temperature. If you turn it all the way up it will break making the water a electric frying pan.
...
You really shouldn't do it Ochako. I mean your man will...oh wait you don't have one. Do you have friends? They will be sad...I'm sure they will get over it but...
Im sure
Uraraka leaned her head against the door and her heavy eye lids closed as she fell fast asleep not even waiting for a response. She didn't have any dreams or any thoughts in general, even when she woke up, not even bothering to grab her books. She wouldn't need them anymore anyway.
The walk to the class was anything but normal as people noticed her messed up hair and clothes. Her face was probably puffy as she stepped into the line of her classmates heading to the training area.
"Oi pink cheeks what's with you? You look like shit."
Her heart skipped a beat at his voice but she ignored it and didn't even turn to face him as she responded. "I had a hard night that's all. I met your girlfriend too. She's really nice and helpful."
"Yeah right. Im gonna break up with her soon enough, the only reason we are dating is cause she wouldn't leave me the fuck alone."
Urarakas eyes widened and for a second she wondered if she should actually go through with the plan but then she remembered all the thoughts from before. She shook her head and didn't say anything as they started to walk.
The whole way her steps got slower and her heart rate got faster. Was she already regretting her decision? No. This would help everyone. This is good and will make my families life better.
She kept telling that to herself as her teacher explained everything though she wasn't listening. Her eyes were trained on the water only a little away from her. It was sparkly blue and beautiful, but she knew the secret danger.
Her class dispersed and she wandered to it standing as close to the edge as she could. It would have to look like a accident for anyone to get paid so she started using her quirk to lift rocks and act like she was training.
"Pink cheeks are you sure your okay? I hate to admit but I'm worried about you and don't fucking say I care cause I don't!"
"I know you don't."
"... somethings up. I do care now stop being a dipshit!"
"Leave me alone Bakugo!"
"No I love you okay!"
Urarakas eyes widened as her foot slipped and she started to fall. Regret washed over her but she didn't have enough time to activate her quirk and change her mind now. The last thing she saw was the boy she liked reaching out for her and she was okay with that, sure it would be horrible for him to watch but at least she knew.
...splash....
The end
