Time to be Heroes!

Class B's time on Nabu is now a go!! It's certainly going to be a very entertaining time while they're here. And, it appears Cry's already made a little friend. If you've seen the Heroes Rising movie, then you already know who Katsuma is. We'll see him again very soon. And, in terms of Cry, this goes all the way back to when he was still learning how to control his new Reality quirk. It's so much different, as you saw, with him only being able to make a portal about 50ft away from where he's standing. Certainly different than making one halfway across the world, am I right? Oh, and one last thing, Cry is not student number 21 in Class B. There's still only 20 students. He's replaced the student, Manga Fukidashi because he can't actually speak. Now, a bit of time will have passed in this chapter which will be shown at the start. Now, let's get right back into the story! Enjoy!

-3 weeks Later- -POV: Cry-

Well, despite there being absolutely no villains at all on Nabu island, there was still LOADS for us to do here. Once we had cleaned up the agency and had gotten power, we were already getting phone calls from the citizens here. Generally, the calls we would get would be for assistance with something around the island. Jobs around the beach, some of the factories here to fix stuff, even assisting in farming. It wasn't quite what we expected, but we learned to have fun with it all very quickly.

Today, about half of us were out somewhere on the island giving assistance. Awase, along with Pony Tsunotori(Quirk: Horn Cannon), and Yui Kodai(Quirk: Size) were at the beach today assisting the lifeguards in their duties.

Kendo had gone out with Reiko Yanagi(Quirk: Poltergeist) to clear a road that had become blocked by a small rock slide.

Jurota Shishida(Quirk: Beast) was out in the nearby forest. We'd gotten a call that a family had lost two of their pets, a dog and a parrot. Shishida actually had just called in to say he'd found the dog and was currently on the look out for the bird.

Komori and Togaru Kamakiri(Quirk: Razor Sharp) were out on a farm a few kilometres away. The man actually farms mushrooms so the job was right up Komori's alley. She was using her quirk to release spores into the ground and grow edible mushrooms. Kamakiri was helping by using the blades he can produce to dig little trenches for the mushrooms.

And, Tetsutetsu and Kaibara went out to a workshop. We had a call come in that the guys down there were having difficulties opening up parts of the vehicles they were working on.

Everyone had something to do, even us that were currently at the agency. We were getting calls almost 24/7.

"Nabu island Hero Agency, this is Mines speaking, how may we be of assistance?" Nirengeki Shoda(Quirk: Twin Impact) asked his caller.

"Oh, you say your car's broken down? Don't worry, we'll send someone out to your location right away." Setsuna Tokage(Quirk: Lizard Tail Splitter) said to her caller.

"Yes, this is the Hero agency. You need help putting together a new wood fence? Don't worry, sir, i'll be down there shortly." Kojiro Bondo(Quirk: Cemedine) said as he hung up and headed out to assist his caller.

Yes, everything was a go for us. There wasn't a moment where we weren't doing anything. It actually meant I didn't have much time to do any training at all. And for Monoma, he was ecstatic because it meant not much training for him either.

*BZZZ! BZZZ!* "Hello, Nabu Island Hero Agency, this is the hero, Shifter, how may we be of assistance?" I asked as I received a call on my phone as my work station. Everyone here had their own desk, their own phone, and their own computer do to work on. Calls would come in randomly to one of the phones here, but even if the person wasn't there at the station, the call would be transferred to one of the other ones.

"Yes, my little brother is lost! I can't find him anywhere! Please, you have to help find him!" A little girl on the other end said with much worry in her voice.

"Don't worry, we'll send someone down to your location soon and find your little brother. Where did you last see him?" I asked her.

"We were in the shopping centre and he just disappeared! I've been in this place for so long now, but I can't find him!" The little girl cried.

"Don't worry, we'll find him. Can you please give me a description of what your little brother looks like?" I asked her in a very calming voice.

"He's got light brown hair and brown eyes.... and he.... he's wearing blue overalls...." The little girl told me, it sounding like she was starting to cry on the other end. And for some reason, that description sounded familiar to me. Couldn't put my finger on it at this time though.

"Hey, don't be afraid. I'll be right over and i'll find your little bro, okay? Just stay where you are, please. I'll see you soon." I told the girl as she then hung up.

"I'm heading out to the shopping centre. Got a missing kid to find. Anyone wanna come help?" I asked around.

"If it's finding a missing person then i'm probably the best we've got. Count me in!" Tokage said as she came over and gave me a high five.

"Anyone else?" I asked.

"Why not. I'll come along. If the kid's in a dark place then i'll be able to find him quickly." Kuroiro said as he came over too.

"Alright, we're heading out! Hold down the fort, guys!" I said as the three of us left the agency. But we stopped just out front so that I could try something.

"Alright, here goes...." I said as I began using my quirk again. I focused as hard as I could, trying to clear my mind and imagine what I wanted to create. A portal then appeared right in front of us.

"Well, let's hope this one takes us to where we wanna go. Last time, you sent us to the wrong side of the island." Tokage said, although I really wish she hadn't reminded me.

"Oh shut up. Just go in." I said as we went through. We didn't end up at the shopping centre but at least we could see it just a ways down the road.

"HA! Look at that! Got pretty close to my target location this time." I bragged as the two of them just rolled their eyes.

"Alright, come on, show off. Let's find this kid." Kuroiro said as we headed over and into the shopping centre which was just full of people.

"We should split up. Kuroiro, you take food and electronics. Cry, you go and take furniture and outdoor gear. I'll take fashion and music." Tokage said as she began to split up the parts of her body into pieces which started floating around.

"Remember, we're here to find a lost kid. We're not here to doddle." I told her as she just giggled a bit.

"Relax, Cry. I'm not gonna goof off. If you find the kid, call the others and we'll meet back right here." Tokage said as she flew away. Kuroiro went over to a dark wall that was black in colour and merged with it, speeding along the wall to head to his section. And then there was me who ran over to my section.

I began asking around if they've seen any little boys that matched the description I was given. But, everyone I asked turned up negative. No luck at all. And, after asking what felt like over 100 people, I decided i'd check out the outside of the centre in case this kid wandered out there. I asked more people and, finally, one person said they saw a little boy with the right hair, eyes, and the blue overalls come out of the shopping centre and run over to a nearby playground that overlooked the rest of the city.

I thanked the person who gave me the info and then started making my way up the hill towards this playground. I texted Tokage and Kuroiro where I was headed and they said they'd meet me there shortly since they had zero luck in their sections as well.

When I arrived, I was out of breath but there was a little boy there. And, he matched the description I was given by his older sister.

"Sister!!! Where are you!?" I heard the boy shouting as I came up to him. And, when I got a better look at what he was wearing, I remembered i'd actually met him before.

"Hey, uh.... it's Katsuma, right?" I asked him as he turned around and faced me.

"You're that guy from before....." He said as he gave that face of awe again.

"You got lost from your big sister, right? She gave the agency a call and I came out to find you. If you'll come with me, I can't take you to her. How does that sound?" I asked him as I crouched down and reached out my hand to him.

"No, no, no!! You're late!! Too late!!" I heard a girl suddenly shout as someone came down the slide that was right next to me. Hopping off it was this little girl, a bit taller than Katsuma. She had light brown hair in pigtails and dark brown eyes. she was wearing this pink dress with overall straps on it and a black tank top underneath, as well as, white and pink sandals. She also had on a similar sun hat to Katsuma, only hers had a pink rim around it instead of blue.

"Uh, sister wait." Katsuma said which, at this point, I had kinda guessed this was his sister.

"You! What's your name!?" The sister shouted to me as she pointed right into my face.

"Tenshonoma Cryshiki. Please just call me Cry though. And you are..... you're Katsuma's sister?" I asked her as she just crossed her arms and made a pouty face.

"Yeah, i'm his sister. The name's Mahoro." She told me in a very moody tone.

"Well, uh, I guess you already found your sister then, Katsuma. That's a relief..." I said as Mahoro flipped out at me.

"What's good about it!?" She asked as she then held up her phone and revealed a timer on it.

"How could you take over an hour looking for a lost child!? You're from U.A, right? How can you not do something so simple!? I'd say we were better off with our old heroes!" Mahoro lectured me as I just sat their silent, not knowing what to say at all.

"I.... uh..... I'm...... sorry....?" I said, really hoping she didn't explode in my face.

"Well, I guess it can't be helped. After all, you're all just students. You're kids." Mahoro said to me as I just lowered my head and sighed. She was kinda right about all this.

"Cry, did you find the lost kid!?" I heard Tokage shout as I turned to see her and Kuroiro running up the top of the hill.

"Next time, you should do better, Cry." Mahoro said in a smug attitude as I still just sat there, stunned.

"....Yeah..... right....." I said rather quietly as Mahoro marched past me.

"Come on, Katsuma. Let's go." She said as Katsuma began to follow. But not before he stopped right in front of me.

"Thank you...." He said in a nervous tone as I raised my head up to him.

"There is no need to thank him for anything! Now let's go!" Mahoro said as she came back over, grabbed her brothers arm, and pulled him away, taking down past Tokage and Kuroiro and back down the hill.

"What was all that about?" Tokage asked me.

"Yeah, why were you apologizing to them?" Kuroiro asked as I stood up, turned around, and watched the two kids run down the hill. It couldn't help but bring a smile to my face.

"The big sister scolded me for taking too long to find her brother." I said. I understood what Mahoro was getting at. She's just a protective older sister and she was testing us.

"Huh? What's that supposed to mean? It's like we can just immediately find a missing person within seconds." Kuroiro said.

"Yeah, I know. But, i'm still glad that happened. That I was scolded." I told them as the two just looked confused now.

"Wait, what? You've lost me, Cry." Tokage said as I had to explain.

"Well, in the end, Katsuma was reunited with his big sister safely, right?" I said to them as they both sighed and nodded in agreement.

"Well, guess you're right. As long as they're safe, I guess it's okay. Still, it would've been nice without the scolding." Kuroiro said as I just chuckled it off.

"Ah, come on, when's a little scolding ever stopped me? Now, let's go. I'm sure everyone's being bombarded with more requests back at the agency." I said as I began to use my quirk again and made another portal. We stepped through and immediately we started falling and landed right into the ocean.

"Cry, god damn it!" Tokage shouted as we thankfully fell near where the beach was.

"Dude, you've really gotta get the hang of making those things in the right spot." Kuroiro said to me as I just sighed and began swimming towards shore.

"I know, I know!! You don't realize how hard it is to use this quirk!" I said as they just laughed at me. We eventually got onto the beach and I proceeded to get laughed at by Awase and his crew who were stationed there. Still, it didn't bother me that much. They won't be laughing at me when I finally get the hang of this quirk. The three of us then headed back to the agency so we could dry off and take on more requests.

-6 Hours Later-

The sun was setting at this point and everyone had returned to the agency, completely exhausted. We were washing all our costumes so we wouldn't stink tomorrow. Now, we all just sat around our desks, taking in the coolness of the AC. This was the usual dinner time around the island, so it gave us like an hour or two to rest.

"So tired....." A couple of us said.

"Isn't this work kinda..... "unimportant?"" Monoma questioned as I just placed my left hand on top of his head and shook it a bit.

"No work is unimportant. Besides, we're still students and we were told there weren't villains here. It may not look like hero work to us, but to the people who live on the island, it does." I told him as he just started moping again.

"He's right. We're gaining the trust of the people. We're their heroes. It still counts as actual work. And speaking of work, I think we're all thinking the same thing right now. Who's on cooking duty tonight?" Kendo asked as I was relieved to know it was not me tonight.

"Monoma!" Everyone said as we all pointed to him. He lowered his head even more as he just sighed and got up from his desk to go up to the kitchen. But, right before he started going up the stairs, we heard knocking on our front door.

"I got it." Yanagi said as she used her Poltergeist quirk to telepathically open the door. Coming into the building were a bunch of people, including the mayor who were carrying food with them.

"How's everyone doing this evening?" The mayor asked us all.

"We're doing just fine, sir. A little tired, but that's expected, I guess." Tetsutetsu said to him as all the people with him put down the food onto some nearby empty tables.

"We honestly can't thank you kids enough for everything you've done for us these past few weeks. So, a bunch of us decided to treat you all to a feast made from our finest foods. We do hope you enjoy!" The mayor said as I suddenly heard a bunch of stomachs growl, including my own.

"Oh, it's no big deal, sir. You all really didn't have to do this for us." Honenuki said.

"It's the least we can do for you all. So go on, have a feast. Enjoy yourselves. Have the night off!" The mayor spoke as he and the rest of the people he brought with him left, leaving us alone with all this delicious food.

"Seems I don't have to cook after all!! Haha, yes!" Monoma cheered as everyone started to get up and grab some plates and utensils.

"Don't worry, you can have night watch duty then." Kendo said to him as his face just grew stunned and silent. I handed him his plate and then went up to get food with everyone else. Tonight, we party!!

-1 Hour later-

"Aw man..... i'm so full....." A bunch of us said as we'd eaten all the food that was brought.

"So good..... so tasty...." Komori said as she was practically laying face first on a table.

"Shoda..... and Rin..... you two are on..... dish duty.... tonight...." Kendo said, sounding like she was gonna fall asleep.

"Finally..... a night..... I can get.... some training done...." I said as I then let out a big burp. The sun was just about gone and almost everyone was heading to bed. The only ones who didn't after Shoda and Rin did all the dishes were me and Monoma. Monoma was set up at his desk reading a book, waiting in case a call came in while I was outside practicing to use my quirk.

"Come on.... one more time..... take me to where I want to go. Open: Portal!" I said as I began to focus, activating my quirk and putting an image of my head of where I wanted to go to.

"Take me to Jiro!" I said as a portal opened up in front of me. I poked my head through it but, as expected, I didn't get good results. The other side took me to some random alleyway who knows where. So, I brought my head back and closed the portal.

"Damn it!!" I shouted in frustration as I punched the nearest wall to me.

"No matter what I do, it just doesn't work! I can make fire, metal, even lightning, but why can't I make these damn portals!?" I questioned as I just sat down and buried my face into my legs.

"Still can't get the hang of them, can you?" Monoma said as he came out the front door, all suited up in his costume. He sat down next to me as I raised my head back up.

"Nope. I'm starting to feel like I never will." I said to him.

"Now that doesn't sound like the Cry I know. Where'd all that "never give up" attitude go?" He asked me as I just sighed.

"It's going down the drain right now." I replied as he just patted me on the back.

"Look, i'm like the one person here who knows how hard it is to use your quirk, besides you. I get it, but that's the reason we train. It's the reason Vlad King puts us through all that hell, to make us stronger and more effective with our quirks. We learn from all that pain and experience. Give it time. You'll learn it in no time. Besides, you won the U.A sports festival, for crying out loud. How hard can it be?" Monoma said which actually did cheer me up a bit. Once in a while, he can actually have a way with words.

"You don't even know though..... the real power I possess behind Reality. One for-" I thought as I was suddenly interrupted by some shouting in the distance.

"heroes.....! Heroes!! Help!!!" A little kid shouted as someone ran out from some nearby bushes. It was Katsuma!

"Woah, hold on a sec, Katsuma, what's wrong!?" I said as we both got up and ran over to him.

"There's..... There's a villain!" Katsuma said with worry in his voice.

"A villain!? Where!?" Me and Monoma asked him.

"Over at the castle ruins on the smaller island! Please, you guys gotta go out there and stop it!" Katsuma pleaded.

"Well, it's a good thing i'm on duty. Looks like it's up to me to go and stop this villain." Monoma said as he tapped my left hand to copy my quirk.

"Hold up, i'm going with you for backup, just in case. We don't know how strong this guy could be." I said as Monoma agreed.

"Katsuma, please stay here. You'll be safe here." I told him as he just looked unsure.

"Alright, let's see how this goes! Open: Portal!" Monoma said as his veins began to glow purple. He opened up a portal in front of us and we both stepped through. We came out right in front of the bridge to the other island.

"Well, guess it's as close as we're gonna get. Come on!" I said as we both began to run across the bridge.

"Wait for me!!" A familiar voice shouted as we both stopped and turned around. Katsuma was here as well, obviously running through the portal after us.

"Why'd you follow us? It's dangerous here." Monoma said to him.

"I-I'm sorry! I just..... It's my sister, she's on that island too! I want to know if she's okay!" Katsuma said as we both sighed and went over to him.

"We don't have the time to discuss this. Alright, you can come but once we get on that island, you find a safe place to hide, understand?" I said to him as he gave me a nod. I then picked him up and put him on my shoulders as we continued to run along the bridge.

When we arrived on the other side, I put Katsuma down and told him to hide somewhere. Me and Monoma then advanced to find this villain. It didn't take very long to find it though. The villain was huge! It was this gigantic green praying mantis!

"Okay..... not quite what I was expecting...." Monoma said as we both spread out, avoiding a swing from this things claws.

"Rock Fall!!" Monoma shouted as he opened up to smaller portals around him. From them, he began to shoot out boulders, trying to hit the mantis. But the giant creature avoided them by leaning its thorax(mid-section) away from the boulders.

Because Monoma didn't have a diamond arm like me, he couldn't actually make anything directly from his body. So, instead, he creates tiny portals to shoot projectiles out of.

"My turn! Spark: Thunder!" I shouted as my right arm began to produce electricity. I moved in to attack and when I got close enough, ducking under another claw, I shot out a small bolt of lightning. However, the mantis avoided the bolt by leaning its body again, but that's not what concerned me. When I fired the bolt, I noticed this creature didn't have a shadow. It wasn't real. The mantis then screeched as it raised up one of its claws and made it come crashing down on top of me.

"CRY, NO!!!" Monoma shouted as I simply came walking out of the claw, not even feeling anything at all.

"Wait, what?" Monoma questioned as I walked over to him.

"Seems like someone's been playing a joke on us. Let's find out who, shall we?" I said as I activated my quirk, picking up the wind until I saw a familiar sun hat with a pink rim go flying into the air.

"And there's the culprit..." I said as we both walked over to a broken down wall and looked around it. There stood Mahoro with her back turned to us, holding her sun hat.

"Well, well, well, so this is the little prankster, eh?" Monoma said as Mahoro jumped a bit then turned around.

"You guys are jerks! Couldn't you have gotten at least a little scared!?" Mahoro shouted as Katsuma came running over. At this point, we knew he was in on this too, but he still looked worried. I just walked over to Mahoro and crouched down in front of her.

"You're the one that made the illusion, weren't you?" I asked her very calmly.

"Yeah, that's right. That's my quirk." She told me as I took off her sun hat and shook up her hair a bit.

"That's a really cool quirk, you know. I can sort of do things like that with mine." I said to her very happily as I gave her a smile.

"Who cares!? And how did you even know it was an illusion anyway!?" Mahoro asked me.

"Well, when I used my lightning, the mantis didn't cast a shadow. So, I knew there was nothing to worry about. Honestly, when Katsuma told us you were on this island with a villain, it made me so worried. But, it makes me so relieved to see you safe." I said to her and Katsuma as I looked to both of them.

"Kids these days..... It's not nice to pull pranks on heroes, you know? We could've hurt you." Monoma said as Katsuma just lowered his head. However, Mahoro marched up to him and began pointing at his face.

"And what kind of hero are you!? We've been watching all you U.A students the whole day and we didn't see you! Did you do anything to help!? And what's with this dumb costume!? What kind of a hero wears a tuxedo!?" Mahoro shouted as Monoma just remained stunned and silent again.

"Please, don't be mad at my sister...." Katsuma said to Monoma who turned to look at the little brother.

"Me mad at her!? That should be the other way around, don't you think!?" Monoma shouted as I used my quirk to seal him inside a soundproof bubble.

"Sorry about him. He can get a little "in your face" sometimes." I jokingly said as Katsuma started to laugh a bit after seeing Monoma complain at me from the inside.

"Yeah, no kidding...." Mahoro said as Monoma then seemed to calm down. I let him out and he just gave a look at me.

"Must you always do that?" He asked me.

"Sorry, but I could tell you were gonna say something you shouldn't have. Now go back to the agency. I'll take these two home." I told him as he just sighed and nodded his head before leaving.

"You don't have to do that, you know." Mahoro said to me as she made another pouty face.

"I know. But you two are some pretty interesting kids. And, I wanna get to know you two a bit better. Cause I feel i'm gonna see you a lot more very soon." I said as Mahoro sighed and then just accepted the fact I wasn't going away. I then walked them home, going back over to the main island and over to the farm land.

"So, you have an illusion quirk, Mahoro. But what about you, Katsuma? Do you have a quirk as well?" I asked him as I held both kids hands.

"Yeah. I have a quirk like my dad. It's called "Cell Activation." I can amplify my or someone else's cells and make them heal you." Katsuma explained to me.

"Wow, both of you have some awesome quirks! Now tell me, where's your father? Does he know you two are out here at this time of night?" I asked them.

"Of course he doesn't! Our father is away on the mainland for a few days! So, i'm in charge of taking care of Katsuma!" Mahoro said with confidence.

"Ah, I see now. Guess that's where over-protectiveness comes from," I jokingly said as Mahoro tightened her grip on my left wrist.

"WHO'RE YOU CALLING OVER-PROTECTIVE!?" She roared into my ear.

"Sorry, sorry..... I just couldn't help but think that earlier today. You were testing us, right? To see if we student heroes could live up to the same potential as the old ones? To see if they could, in some way, take some pressure off you as the big sister." I said to her as she calmed down and looked at me with a bit of awe in her eyes.

"Uh.... yeah.... you were able to figure that out?" She asked me as I gave her a nod.

"Hey, I may look kinda freaky, but that doesn't mean I'm stupid. I understood what you were doing, and that's why I didn't get mad at you when you pulled that prank earlier." I said to her as they told me we were coming up to their house. We stopped at the front door and I crouched in front of them and then held my right hand behind my back, activating my quirk in the process.

"Both of you, please hold out one of your hands." I asked of them as they did just that. I then pulled my arm back around and opened it up revealing two small metal objects. Something like a pager.

"I want both of you to have these. Just click the one button on it and it'll send a signal to the one I have, see?" I told them as I showed off the third one I made before giving them both theirs.

"If you press it, I promise I'll come to wherever you are as fast I can. I will be your personal heroes for the time I stay here on Nabu. How does that sound?" I asked them as Katsuma's face lit up with a smile. But Mahoro looked rather unimpressed.

"And what if you're slow like today? What happens when you don't live up to our expectations?" Mahoro asked me as I just rubbed the back of my head.

"Then you can do whatever you want with me. Kinda like servant, I guess." I jokingly said as Mahoro grasped her pager tightly.

"Then we'll see how good you are tomorrow, Cry! We'll see you then! Come on, Katsuma, let's get to bed!" Mahoro shouted in my face as she pulled her brother inside and shut the door.

"These kids are pretty interesting..... pretty interesting indeed...." I said to myself as I then began my trek back to the agency to get some sleep.

-POV: Wrath Queen-

Despite being on the trail of our unknown target, we've had no such luck so far actually finding them. Currently, myself and Hawks were meeting up with the director of the Safety Commission. Endeavor was currently out on a job.

"Glad you two could make it. Please, take a look at the board in front of you." The director said as the projector board displayed a map of Japan, a bunch of locations highlighted with images of specific heroes.

"Are these all the heroes who've been attacked?" I asked the director as she gave us a nod.

"For a few weeks now, heroes have been attacked and have come up with their quirks being stolen. And, we've deduced that the attacks have been orchestrated by this unknown group you've been tracking. After all, this only began after that night you gave chase to the League." The director explained to us.

"All for One has been imprisoned in Tartarus for months though. It can't be him out there stealing quirks again, right? I questioned as I looked over to Hawks.

"Don't know. I haven't gotten much info out of the League lately. All we know about this new group is that they're involved with them." Hawks said as the director gave us a nod.

"And that is precisely why this is urgent. We also understand that a recent villainous group, the Shie Hassaikai, were creating bullets that destroyed a person's quirk. Perhaps it is possible that the League has acquired these bullets." The director said as Hawks began to walk over to exit the room.

"Don't think so, ma'am. Otherwise, why would they go through so much trouble to transport whoever else was in that truck? Regardless, we don't know at this time but we'll keep our eyes and ears on max at all times. Good luck, director!" Hawks said as he just left the room.

"Honestly, that man really needs to take these situations more seriously." The director said as I agreed with her.

"He is the number 2 hero though. He gets the job done. But thank you for this information, director. It'll help us in our search." I said as I then left the room and followed after Hawks.

"So, they're able to steal quirks, eh? And without All for One? How is that even possible?" I questioned as me and Hawks began to head over to the Endeavor Hero agency to report to him.

"Well, no matter how they've done it, we need to find this new group fast. Because if not, more people will end up hurt and losing their quirks. I just wish we knew where they would strike next.....
