And Josh continues with the upset train!! This was another match that was determined by a coin flip because it could've gone either way. But i'm sure it came as a shock to find out he can lift over 10 tons now. Just shows how overpowered his quirk can become after just a week of training. Now, a little bit of business. From this chapter onward for the remainder of this arc, the chapters are going to be shorter with only one fight in them. But, it'll allow us to produce them quicker. So this chapter will only include the 5th match of the first round. Now, let's get right into that fight, shall we? Enjoy!

-POV: Lisa-

"Such buffoonery. If I had fought in any of those matches, I would've claimed victory within the opening seconds..." I said to myself as I waited in my room, watching the matches on my TV while also reading a comic book. 

"Phobos was kind enough to carry me to the top 16, and I didn't have to waste my ability by reading before those prior events started. Which means my abilities now are a complete mystery to whomever I face." I said as I flipped to the next page. 

"My quirk is by far the strongest and most versatile in this field, and with the ability I have acquired for it now, no one can stop me. I have become the most powerful, the fastest, and the most durable life form ever to be created." I said as I closed my Superman comic book. 

"Tenshonoma Cryshiki, the second year transfer student and my substitute teacher. He may indeed have the ability to bend reality to his will, but even that pails in comparison to the raw strength I possess." I said as the fourth match just came to an end. 

"And Josh defeats Kendo in a real nail biter!! He moves on to the quarter finals to meet Trini!!" Present Mic announced as Josh and Kendo were taken away by some paramedics. Then, the battlefield was repaired from their fight, and all the while I thought of my strategy for my opponent. 

"Competitor Lisa, please make your way to your entrance gate. Your match will begin shortly." The voice over the P.A system said as I got up from my seat and left my room. 

"I am the best in every way imaginable. No hero will challenge me after this competition, and every villain who watches will know my name. They won't dare face the girl with the mightiest memory in the world." I said to myself as I arrived at my gate and waited there to be called into the arena. 

"After 4 amazing fights, we've made it to the second half of the first round!! And boy, I cannot wait for this next one, am I right guys!?" Present Mic asked his co-hosts. 

"Sure..... I guess....." Eraser Head said as it looked like he fell asleep. 

"Indeed, Mic. We have debatebly P.H academy's top first year student, Lisa going up against U.A's very own top student overall and current reigning U.A sports festival champion, Cry. But the important thing to remember is Cry actually had an entirely different quirk during last years tournament. After certain events which we will not be discussing at this time, Cry lost his original quirk and obtained the one he wields today. The ability to warp reality. Now, at first glance, it may seem unbeatable, but believe me, I have seen others defeat this boy before, so don't count yourselves out if you're facing him." All Might spoke as I simply laughed at his comments. 

"They talk so high and mighty of their own student, but I will make everyone learn just how outclassed they truly are." I thought to myself as I giggled a bit. 

"Alright!!! It's time we get this 5th match underway!!! Let's introduce our two combatants!!" Present Mic announced as he was getting the crowd all fired up. 

"I'll start things off!! As explained before, this competitor hails from U.A High!! With a quirk unlike any seen before, he's bulldozed his way through the first two events and is looking to claim his second crown here today!! U.A's reigning sports festival champion, it's Tenshonoma Cryshiki!!" All Might announced my as opponent walked into the arena. He waved to the crowd and he seemed to get more cheers than normal. He'd grown in popularity and recognition from his previous sports festival victory. 

"And now for his opponent!! Having advanced through the first two events with ease, this girl's looking to knock down anyone in her path. With a quirk that she can essentially change whenever she wants, she's hoping to surprise everyone with her superb versatility! Put your hands together for Lisa Burrows!!!" Present Mic announced as I made my way into the arena. I didn't bother waving to the crowd though. The only person I was concerned with was the one right in front of me. I stepped up onto the battlefield and took my position, waiting there with my opponent for the match to begin.

"So, my first opponent is the girl with the weaponized memory. Whatcha gonna use to try and beat me?" Cry asked me as I adjusted my glasses. 

"You will see soon enough. And don't think that you have a chance to defeat me. Just because you are a whole year ahead as well as my current teacher, do not think that makes you more superior to myself. I will show you just how insignificant your quirk is to my own." I said to him intimidatingly as he did nothing but laugh.

"Is that so? Wow, so scary. Just remember everything my mother and I have taught you in class and you might actually beat me. So come on, let's see how you handle the champ." Cry said as he cracked his neck a couple of times. 

"The intensity between these two is already rising!! Let's not make them wait any longer!" All Might spoke as the crowd began to count us down. 

"3..... 2..... 1..... BEGIN!!!" The entire crowd roared as I immediately went for the first move. Without hesitation, I unleashed my heat vision from my eyes, the bright red laser beams shooting straight for Cry. 

"Mirror Reflect!!" Cry shouted as he raised up his right diamond arm. The veins within his body began to glow purple and I watched as he turned the diamond to reflective glass. My heat vision struck it and was deflected away right up into the sky. I stopped attacking as I knew there was no way he'd let me get past that mirror. 

"Hmm.... heat vision, eh? That's certainly narrowed down what kind of characters you recently read about." Cry said as I leaped off the ground and took flight.

"Reflexes are much more on point than I thought they would be. It seems I may have to readjust myself and devise a new strategy." I said to myself as I started to do a dive bomb right for my opponent.

"Unless of course I simply knock him out with my super strength!!" I roared as I neared Cry, reeling back my right fist to strike. 

"As much as i'd like to take the battle into the air, I do much better on the ground. So how's about you come back down. Gravity X10!!" Cry said as he raised his right arm straight up into the air. His veins glowed purple once more and all of a sudden my entire body felt incredibly heavy. I could no longer retain my flight either and I crashed straight down into the battlefield. He was manipulating reality to increase the gravity around me. But looking at him and beyond into the crowd, they were all fine. 

"Such control.... and he's only had it for a year..... this quirk is unreal....." I said as I began to lift myself off of the ground, despite the gravity still trying to keep me pinned. 

"I've specifically altered the gravity around just the battlefield, but i'm shielding myself from the effects with a protective barrier I formed over my body. Gravity still feels normal to me, but to you, it feels like you're being crushed by a 20 ton wrecking ball. And yet, you're strong enough to get up even in these conditions. You're narrowing my list of characters even more." Cry said to me as I now stood tall on my feet. 

"He's tactically deducing what abilities I have and then shutting them down. I have to find a way to catch him off guard!" I thought as I began to take in a deep breath. 

"What will you do now, my student? Attack me from a distance? Or try and hit me head on?" Cry asked me as I felt the gravity return to normal. My body felt a lot lighter as I began to blow as hard as I could. I unleashed a heavy frost breath at my opponent but the intense weight now lifting off of me threw off my balance and the chilling breath went right past Cry. 

"That was a little cold. But, that attack just gave me my answer to what character your powers are based off of. Reading some Superman comics, were you? Smart idea. A near unbeatable man with a balanced set of abilities. Ones that would normally carry you through this whole competition. That is, if you weren't facing me, of course." Cry said to me as I clenched my fists tightly. He was pissing me off now. 

"No matter what you do, I will find a way to take you down!! I was born with the greatest quirk ever!! One that allows me to choose my own abilities!! And I have chosen to become the most powerful person in all of fiction!!! I am unstoppable!! I cannot be brought down!!" I shouted as I started to fly straight for Cry. 

"You sure about that?" He questioned as his veins glowed again. Just as I was about to deliver a powerful punch to his face, a portal opened up in front of him and I flew through it. I then came out a second that was aimed down at the battlefield and I crashed once again. But I got back up near instantly with my eyes glowing an intense shade of red. 

"Forget claiming victory in this tournament!! Just beating you will satisfy me!!" I roared with fury as I amped up the power of my heat vision and fired an enormous beam at Cry. 

"Child's play. This battle's already over." Cry said as he held his right hand straight out. His veins glowed an even more intense shade of purple as an object formed in front of his hand. It looked like a dark red ball of fire. 

"No matter what you create, it won't stop this from annihilating you!!" I screamed as my heat vision suddenly got a lot smaller. It kept on shrinking and shrinking until it disappeared. It never touched Cry at all, and I found out it never got past whatever he created. I was utterly shocked. 

"Surprised? Superman's powers come from his ability to absorb solar radiation from our yellow and blue suns. But, coming in contact with the radiation of a red sun decreases his powers. You're not the only one who knows their comics. So, all I had to do was create this red sun here in my hand and its energy completely nullified your impressive attack." Cry explained as he spun a literal miniaturized red sun on his index finger like a basketball. He then made it disappear and he brushed his hands together like he was wiping off dust. 

"Are you kidding me!? This can't be happening!! I was gifted with the greatest quirk of all time!! One that can make me any fictional character, or even great heroes who lived in this era!! I could become All Might if I wanted to!! So why can I not do anything to him!?" I questioned myself as my breathing was becoming heavy and my body was shaking. 

"What is this feeling? Am I..... nervous? Nervous that I might lose!? No, I can't be!! I won't lose and I never will!! I have been at the top of everything in my life!! Top of my class in every school, in every sporting event, in anything!! I will not falter here!!" I thought to myself as I reeled back my left arm. I don't care what Cry did, I was hitting him with this immense punch. And he was going down with this single strike.

"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!! I AM ENDING THIS FIGHT RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!" I roared as I ran at him full speed, charging up strength within my arm. I could probably knock down a building with how hard I was focusing my power. 

"If you say so!! Then this will be the end of our fight!!" Cry shouted to me as he did nothing but stand in place. That pissed me off even more, the fact he wasn't even trying was infuriating to someone as great as myself.

"I WIN!!!!" I screamed as I threw my punch at him. But, before I could land my attack, his right arm turned into a bright green stone material. He then reached up and caught my fist with very minimal effort and I began to feel all my strength leaving my body. 

"What is..... what did you do.....?" I asked him weakly as I dropped to my knees in front of him. He still held a firm grip on my hand as he began to chuckle at me. 

"Besides a red sun and magic, there's only one sure-fire way to defeat Superman. And that is Kryptonite. And thanks to my quirk, I can actually make said material become real. Perfect for defeating you." Cry said as his right arm detached from his body. My hand was stuck in its grip as I fell over onto my left side. 

"Ultimate Move: O2 Discharge." Cry said as his veins glowed once more. A bubble appeared around me and a brief sucking sound could be heard inside of it. But I quickly found out what made the sound as I couldn't breath. 

"This move of mine traps its victim inside a near impenetrable bubble that sucks all oxygen out of it. The victim then suffocates until they fall unconscious." Cry explained as I mustered all of my strength to throw weak punches at the bubble. But no matter what I did, I couldn't break it. 

"You could've defeated me easily, Lisa. But it was yourself who brought upon your defeat. You overestimated your own abilities and underestimated me. You thought that by giving yourself the powers of an incredibly strong character would give you easy victories. You are lazy. And it is very clear to me that you were not paying attention in my lessons...." Cry said to me as my vision was becoming blurry. I was desperately trying to break out and get some air but I just couldn't do a thing. 

"There will always be someone better than you, no matter how strong you are. There's even people greater than myself. But you overlooked it all, believing that you stood above everyone else. You need to look back at yourself and realize you are far from the greatest. Because if that is what you truly believe, then you will never become a great hero." Cry said to me as my eyes finally shut. I lost consciousness as the harsh reality set in.
