Meet our new teachers! Bet you weren't expecting that, were you!? Our decisions were to either have Cry and another student from class A be the new teachers or have class 2's teacher teach both classes at the same time. We went with the first option, obviously, and it's sure to bring some interesting things to the table. Myself, NicoandHades, and Kittiowolf210 have all introduced so many of our characters we've made for this story, and I can say that Cry and Wrath Queen are two from one of my own previous stories. It's titled "Class 1-B's Ace," and it explains a lot about them, as well as, Cry's relationship with Jiro. Anyways, i'm sure you don't really care about some of this so let's get right back into the action! Enjoy!

-In an Abandoned Warehouse....-

"DAMN IT!!! If that fucking pro didn't show up, we would've slaughtered those kids for sure!!!" Daina cursed as she, Markus, and Shield dwelled over their defeat.

"This freakin' sucks, man! I wanted to crush those kids into god damn paste!" Shield cried in a rage as he kicked over a pile of empty boxes.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" Markus roared with fury as his companions quieted down and looked over to him. 

"We were obviously not prepared enough to perform an assault on the students and teachers of P.H academy. The fact that we lost to just one pro hero is enough to say we need to improve everything about us. Our power, our skills, all of it!" Markus said as he smashed one of his fists through a concrete wall in a rage. 

"And what the hell are you proposing, you oh so great fucking leader!? If I recall, you had your ass handed by a woman who was practically dead!! What was that about your strength!? I remember you saying your quirk could destroy mountains!! Where was all that power!? HUH!?" Daina screamed into the face of Markus as he reached out and grabbed her by the neck. 

"The only reason she was able to overpower me was because I had assumed i'd killed her! Had I have known she was still alive, I would've taken even more measures to ensure I kill her and those students!!!" Markus shouted as he let go of Daina, letting her breath. 

"So then what do we do now? We've still got our insider, but the four of us clearly aren't going to do much." Shield said as Markus agreed with him. 

"The League made their mark due to their fear and their sheer numbers. We've already begun to cast our shroud of fear over this society. So now..... I think it's time we look for new recruits." Markus said as the Injustice Squad began to take their next steps into the darkness. 

-One Week Later- -POV: Harper-

After what felt like a super stretched out and LONG week, the day had come for the International Sports Festival to begin. All three of the other schools, U.A, Gregorvsky Alpha, and Queen's Strong had landed here in America according to the news and were currently making their way to the stadium where the event was being held. 

I myself had just woken up because I've been exhausted from the training Cry and Jiro put most of the class through. Only a small handful of my classmates didn't take their help. Lisa was one but that didn't come as a surprise to me considering she probably thought she didn't need it at all. But Phobos was another, which came as a shock to me. But he told me he was working on a secret project so he didn't want anyone, not even me to find out. 

My parents had already left to go to work by the time I got out of bed and had my breakfast. And, I could tell by the extra dishes that Cry and Jiro had also had their breakfast. I was getting ready to head out soon but I went down to my basement first to see if Cry and Jiro were ready as well. 

"Hello? You guys ready?" I said as I knocked on the door to the rec. room. I opened it up and saw they were both still here. Cry had removed his diamond right arm from his body and was currently doing one arm pull ups with an exercise bar. He had his shirt off two, showing off an impressive looking six pack but also some rather concerning large scars and chunks missing from his torso. Jiro on the other hand was tuning her bass guitar, and it was sounding pretty good. Cry had used his reality quirk to soundproof the room to make sure the two of them didn't disturb anyone in my family. The two were in a band and liked to practice often. 

"Yep..... we're just.... finishing up here..... we'll be out..... in just a minute....." Cry said as he did his last few pull ups before dropping to the floor. He walked over to his diamond arm which laid on the floor. He picked it up and then attached it to his right side. Cry informed me that he couldn't just make his arm directly out of his arm, he has to subatomically attach it to himself to be able to use it.

"All our classmates from U.A sent us some texts saying they just arrived at the stadium. Guess it won't be long now." Jiro said as Cry put his shirt back on. 

"We've also been told we don't have to bring anything with us. So that's nice. Don't have to carry around a backpack or anything." Cry said. 

"Yeah, it sounded like the students competing get free refreshments upon request which is super nice. Anything you two can tell me about this kind of competition?" I asked them as they both passed me to walk upstairs. 

"It's going to be the same format as the U.A festival, with two preliminary rounds and a third big bracket battle round. For the first two rounds, don't aim for first place. Stick to a good pace, no matter what the event may be. Play things safe and you'll move on to the next round. Only push yourself if you fall behind." Jiro explained as I followed them up the stairs and then we left my home. Phobos stood at the end of my driveway waiting for us as usual. 

"Harper, Jiro, Cry, good morning. Ready to get your butts kicked?" Phobos jokingly asked, more so meant for Cry and Jiro. 

"Hey, hey, hey, don't forget you have the defending U.A sports festival champion to contend with, bud. I know i'm only a year older than you, but i'm also your teacher. And i'm gonna teach you what it's like to lose." Cry said as he gave a fist bump to Phobos. 

"Everyone ready?" Jiro asked as everyone nodded. 

"Then let's go. Open: Portal." Cry said as his veins glowed purple once again. A portal opened up in front of all of us. We all stepped through and when we got to the other side, we were standing just outside the entrance to the stadium. 

"God, I wish I had a quirk that made portals." Phobos said as Cry closed the portal behind us. 

"You have no idea. It's so handy." Cry said as we headed inside after being checked at the front gates. We got in pretty quickly when we showed our student ID's. 

"Alright, me and Cry have to go to our schools waiting room. Yours is just down this hallway. We'll see you when this all kicks off." Jiro said as we parted ways with her and Cry. 

"We'll see you later! And remember, we're gonna win!" I shouted to them as they just laughed it off. 

"Come on, let's go to our room." Phobos said as we walked down the hallway. We found our room labelled for Persevering Heights and entered to find we were the last two to arrive. And, with all 32 students in both class 1 and 2 now here, our supervisor, class 2's homeroom teacher, the Vampire Hero: Drac, gathered us all together. He was a very pail man with short black hair, red eyes, your typical vampire fangs, a fancy looking red and black suit, and a black cloak over himself to cover up from the sun. 

"Now that all of you have arrived, it's time we begin. You first years were randomly chosen to represent P.H academy on this world stage. While you may not have had the years of experience as the other schools students, you make up for it with your unpredictability. All the others have showed their quirks in some ways in the past, but none of you have. That is your key to victory. P.H has won this tournament in the past, so I expect no less from all of you today. Whether you are in class 1, or in class 2, today you all fight on the same side. Your partnerships, teamwork, and decision making will aid you all in the events. Get to know each other before this all starts. It may help you. Dismissed." Drac said to us as we dispersed. 

"Jeez, Amelia wasn't kidding. That guy's just a tad strict." I said to myself. 

"Hey, I don't lie. You should always take my word as the truth." I heard Amelia say as she came walking up behind me with two of her classmates. They were all wearing the standard P.H academy training uniforms which were red and black in color. I had mine on as well. I changed into it when I got here. 

"Ready for this?" Amelia asked me as I gave her a nod. 

"As ready as i'll ever be, I guess. Just hope my quirk gives me an edge for parts of today." I said as Amelia began taking a closer look at me. 

"Hey, it looks like you've bulked up a little. You've got muscle, girl!" She said as she was right. 

"Yeah, I used most of our free week to train my physical strength. I can lift over 120 pounds now. Our new temporary teachers really helped me out a lot with that." I said as I began tying my hair into a ponytail. 

"We were told what happened to our classmates as well as you guys and your teacher in class 1. How's Wrath Queen doing?" One of the other class 2 students asked. He was a boy with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. 

"We're not sure. Lost we saw was the last Amelia saw too. Now, who might you two be?" I asked him and the other girl who was here. 

"Sorry, probably should've introduced myself first. My name's Colson Marsh. Quirk: Pain Reflector." The boy told me as we shook hands. 

"You can call me Maia Steelmin. Quirk: Grizzly Bear." The other girl said as I then shook hands with her. She had long blonde hair in the style of pigtails, and bright blue eyes. 

"Nice to meet you. Harper Leesons, Quirk: Dreams." I said to them. 

"Can all students competing please make your ways to your starting gates. Opening ceremonies will begin in just a few minutes." A woman's voice over a P.A system said. 

"Alright everyone, it's time to get this started. Everyone line up and make your way to our gate. Wait for your mark to walk into the arena. I'll be cheering for all of you from the stands. And, in the words of Wrath Queen, I hope each and every one of you may go beyond. Plus Ultra!" Drac said to us all. 

"Plus Ultra!" Only the six of us who went on the field mission cheered. I figured it was because we were the only ones to experience what a true Plus Ultra is really like. Going beyond your very limits to defend everything that is dear to your. 

"Good luck to all of you." Drac said as we lined up and headed out of our waiting room. We headed down to our gate and stopped at the entrance, waiting for our school to be called out. There were several TV screens along the walls so we could watch the opening ceremonies while we waited. Right now, it was showing the announcers booth. And our three announcers were making their way to their seats. 

"What is up all you roaring sports festival fans!? We're coming to you live from the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Lincoln Financial Field stadium! I'm your main MC, the Voice Hero: Present Mic! And joining me up here in the booth are my two co-hosts! Take it away, gentlemen!" We heard the overly-excited hero shout throughout the stadium. 

"No...." The next host said as we saw he was a very gloomy man. He had droopy eyes, long wet looking black hair, a gray scarf around his neck, and a full black jumpsuit on. 

"Jeez, fine. Why do you always have to be such a downer? Anyways, joining me as one of my co-hosts is the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head!" Mic announced as the gloomy hero did nothing but give a simple grunt. 

"Relax, Mic. You know how he is." The other co-host said as it panned over to him. I recognized the voice, but when we got a cleat shot of who it was, we could hear the entire crowd go wild in the stadium. 

"Sounds like everyone's ready to party! That's right, folks! Joining us up here as special guest commentator number three is none other than the former number one hero of the world, All Might!!" Mic announced as the crowd got even more hyped up. 

"It's great to be here, Mic. And I personally cannot wait to see what our next generation of heroes can do today." All Might spoke. 

"And speaking of those future heroes, how about we get them in here so they can show us their stuff, shall we!?" Mic asked the crowd as everyone responded with one huge "YES!"

"Then let's get started! Traveling all the way from Moscow, these third years are the oldest and most experienced in the competition! Their two classes may have the smallest numbers of students here today, but watch out for their raw strength and talent! Everyone, give a round of applause for the students of Gregorvsky Alpha!" Present Mic introduced as 20 students came walking out of the gate across from where we stood. Some of these students were huge, with massive muscles and some with some more obvious quirks like a boy with two huge wings in his back. Their schools training uniforms were orange and white in colour

"Eraser Head, how about you introduce the next school!?" Mic asked him as the gloomy hero let out a heavy sigh. 

"And from England, here's Queen's Strong...." Eraser Head unenthusiastically said but the crowd cheered for them anyway. 28 second year students came walking out of the gate to our right and none of them had obvious quirks. Their school had on green and yellow training uniforms.

"I've got the next ones. Now, coming into the arena, all the way from my home country of Japan, from the very school I attended when I was their age, please welcome U.A High!" All Might roared into his microphone as two spires of flame erupted at the sides of their gate. Walking out from the gate to our left was the 40 students from U.A. Cry and Jiro came into view and I could see Cry's veins were glowing again. So that gave me the idea that he was the one making the flames at their gate. I'd seen U.A's training uniforms before too. They were blue and white with the white stripes making an actual U and A on the uniforms.

"What a show off." I thought. 

"And we've saved the best for last! They may be our only first year group here today, but never count them out! Word is that a small handful of these students had a run-in with some villains recently, so i'm sure that'll give them that extra adrenaline to go beyond!! Representing their home turf of the United States, please give a huge hand to your very own Persevering Heights!!!!" Present Mic screamed as our gate opened up. All 32 of us walked into the arena and it was super intimidating at first. There was SO MANY people watching. And just thinking that there were even more watching us on TV made it worse. 

"Keep your composure, Harper. Don't let your fear get the better of you....." I said to myself as I waved back to the crowd. We all walked out to the centre where all the other schools waited. We joined them as we all waited for the first event to begin. 

"Alright! Time to get down to business!!! Much like the well-known U.A sports festival, the International Festival will be divided into three rounds!! Each event for the rounds has already been decided, and only the best of the best in each one will move on!" Mic announced as All Might took over. 

"The first two rounds will consist of the same type of event but in two different fashions. They'll both be obstacle races with the first part being singles, and the second being doubles or pairs. In the first part of the race, only the top half of all students will advance. Meaning you're all aiming for the top 60. Then,in the doubles part, only the fastest 8 teams will move on to the final round, meaning in the end, only 16 students will be left standing. And they'll all split apart once again as they begin the final tournament bracket. They'll knock each other out until only one is left standing. Our world champion!" All Might explained as he got the crowd all hyped up again. 

"Sorry to burst your bubble, Might, but I think the crowd's tired of waiting! Let's get this show on the road right now!!" Mic announced as a fifth gate opened up. It lead outside the stadium. 

"The rules for the first part of the obstacle race are simple! It's one full lap around the stadium. You can use your quirks as much as you'd like to advance over any obstacle you come across! Just don't go attacking any of the other competitors or hospitalize them! You'll be instantly disqualified! And no sabotages either! We'll all be watching after all! And that's it! Time to race!" Present Mic said as a number 3 came up on the jumbo screen in the stadium. 

"Count it down with me, folks! 3...." Mic began to shout as the crowd joined him. 

"2.... 1....." The crowd roared as all the students took ready positions. 

"BEGIN!!!!" Mic screamed as a buzzer went off, sending all of us running for the exit gate. 

"Later, Harper!" I heard Josh yell as he took off sprinting like freakin' Usain Bolt. He reached the exit gate first and was already outside as everyone else just started going through the gate. And let me tell ya, it was a tight squeeze. 

"Ow, watch it! Stop pushing, you're just making it worse! You're pulling my hair!" A bunch of students cried out as we were making no progress whatsoever.

"There's gotta be an easier way out of here!" I thought as I looked up. Hovering above everyone through the gate was Cry and Jiro. Cry was manipulating the air to make them fly right over everyone and making them land on the outside of the stadium. But, looking up at them showed me my way to get out faster. There was a bunch of lights hanging above and my quirk for today would help me reach them. 

"That's how i'll get ahead! Good thing I've got lots of reach!" I said as I raised my arms straight up. They began to stretch all the way up to the lights. And, when I finally grabbed one, I pulled myself up and then swung from light to light like monkey bars on a playground. Then, when I reached the end of the gate, I dropped down and retracted my arms. 

"Thank you, One Piece dream. Never would've thought being Luffy would be so awesome." I said to myself as I took off running down the designated route, going counter-clockwise around the stadium. 

"There's no way i'll catch up to Josh. He's a literal Olympic athlete at this point. And Cry and Jiro are gonna be watching each others backs. But it's like they said, don't go for first place. Just keep a good pace and don't fall behi-" I thought as suddenly someone came rocketing from behind me and passed me in an instant. It was a boy with dark hair, glasses, and he was wearing the U.A training uniform. He had engine valves in his calves and they were making him run like a bullet. 

"There goes Tenya Iida from U.A, using his Engine quirk to speed past majority of the competition! He's already closing in on our three leaders!" I heard Present Mic announce as I looked behind me. More students had already gotten out of the gate and were making their way around the arena. Most of them were U.A students, but I saw some students from P.H in the mix as well. Phobos, Lisa, and Kira were all catching up to me fast. 

"Maybe picking up the pace won't be so bad! As long as I stay ahead of that huge mix, I should be FINNNNNEEEEE........!!!!" I screamed as I suddenly felt the ground give away from beneath my feet. I began falling as I looked down to see I was crashing down into a huge trench. 

"No, I am not losing because of some hole!" I said as I stretched out my right arm and shot it up. I managed to grab onto the edge of the other side of the trench and I began to pull myself up. I watched as some of the students jumped and flew over the trench to pass me before I got to the top. 

"Pathetic...." I heard Lisa say when I got to the top as she flew over me using some wings on her arms. 

"Don't let her get to you! If you turn it into a competition on one person, it'll distract you from your goal!" I said to myself as I climbed out of the trench and took off running again. There was easily 20 people in front of me now, but I was still in the running to advance so I was fine. 

"Outta my way, red hair!!!" I heard a boy shout from behind me as I turned my head. Here was this boy with spiky ash blonde hair running up behind me with his arms stretched out behind him. From his palms, he unleashed literal explosions that sent him flying forward ahead of me. 

"It looks like Young Bakugo is making a run for the lead as well. He's one to keep a sharp eye on, folks. He's one of U.A's top students after all." All Might announced.

"Watch out for that guy! He likes to rampage through anyone who gets in his way!" Another boy from U.A said as he came running up next to me. He had spiky red hair and sharp teeth, just like Tetsutetsu has. 

"Mind if I pass you?" He said as I gestured for him to go ahead. 

"Thanks! I'll see you at the end!" He said as he waved back to me before sprinting ahead. 

"Well aren't you the friendly racer." I heard Joey say as he came running up behind me. 

"Why're you running? I thought your quirk let you turn into a bald eagle?" I asked him. 

"I'm saving it for when I have to go over larger obstacles, like that trench back there. Flew right over it then turned back to normal." He said to me. 

"Still, you'd think you would just be smart and avoid all the obstacles and all the students together if you just flew over everything." I said to him as he shook his head. 

"Not the case. Look up." He said, pointing up at the sky. I looked straight up and saw just over a dozen students flying about 30ft up in the sky. They were battling it out with one another to take the lead. I could see one of the students from Queen's strong, a girl with long dark green hair was floating away with minimal effort from the rest of the pack above and she was easily passing most of the opposition on the ground. 

"And there goes Trini Williams! The top student of Queen's Strong, she's using her ESP quirk to go over every and all obstacles and is quickly making her way to the front of the race!" Mic announced. 

"There's more students going above me!? Oh no, how many have passed!? I might be too far behind now!" I said to myself as I picked up my pace.

"And it looks like our front runners have reached the next obstacle!!! It's time for the raging current to wash away some of the competition!" Mic announced as I made it to the obstacle he was talking about. It was a long stretch of water and it was being pushed towards us all, meaning we'd have to swim against a strong uphill current.

"With all the other students that are just flying over, i'm definitely gonna lose some ground here. Unless...." I said as I could see the end of this obstacle. 

"Unless I can reach all the way over there and pull myself through this whole thing!" I said as I stretched out my right arm. There was a lamp post at the end and I wrapped the end of my arm around it so I wouldn't lose grip.

"Here we go!" I said as I jumped into the water and began slowly pulling myself through it. I was getting a face full of water the entire time and I even swallowed a decent amount at one point. 

"Need some help!?" I heard someone shout to me as I raised my head up and coughed up a bit of water. I then turned my head and saw Aqua hovering right above me on top of a platform of water.

"Are you offering?" I asked her. 

"Well, it looked like you were getting pounded in the face, so I figured I'd give you a hand, seeing as we're classmates and all." She said to me as I reached up with my other arm and she pulled me up. I retracted my stretched out arm and the two of us floated above this obstacle with ease. I was completely drenched though and might I say that the water was extremely cold. 

"I'd say we're just ahead of the middle of the pack right now. We've gotta find some way to get past the leaders." Aqua said as we landed on the other side of the obstacle and took off running again. 

"I know what you mean, but they're all so far ahead! We can't catch Josh or even Cry and Jiro anymore. They're way too far ahead and they've probably passed the next obstacle. But, if we can get past Lisa and some of those students from U.A, we'd be in a better position than we are now." I said as we already reached the next obstacle. And boy, would this one be tougher for everyone to pass. 

"Some have already found ways around it, but it seems our larger group has made their way to the third and final obstacle the singles race! The fire wall! Some students will have an easier time getting through or getting over it with their quirks, but those who cannot will quickly start to fall behind! But don't give up hope, because there's always a way to overcome any and all obstacles in your way!" All Might spoke as me and Aqua stopped at this huge wall of flames blocking our path. Most of the other students were using their quirks to go above the wall, like Phobos using his flame quirk to launch himself over. 

"Hey, Aqua, any chance you can douse these flames with your quirk?" I asked her as she shook her head. 

"No can do. I need to be close to water to control it, and we're a little too far from the last obstacle for me to use my quirk. I don't have any options." She explained to me as I looked behind us. More students were making their way to this obstacle, but I was more focused on two more lamp posts a few meters back. They were directly across from each other and they may just help us get past this obstacle. 

"Ok, i'm not 100% sure if this is going to work or not, but if we want to get past this fire wall, you have to trust me." I said as Aqua gave me a nod. We then ran back to the lamp posts and I stretched out both of my arms, latching them onto the lights. 

"Hold onto my back and do not let go, no matter what. This may get bumpy!" I said as I began walking backwards, stretching out my arms even more until I couldn't anymore. 

"I swear, you are freakin' crazy, Harper! What if we don't clear the flames!?" Aqua asked with fear in her voice as she tightened her grip on me even more. 

"Then we'll be singed just a bit. Now, get ready! Let's do this!" I said as I retracted my arms as fast as I could, sending us flying through the air like a slingshot. We easily flew right over the fire wall but it was landing that was more concerning to us now. 

"Oh no, we're gonna crash!!!" Aqua screamed as the two of us suddenly just froze in midair. 

"Huh? What the heck's going on?" I questioned as we were safely lowered to the ground. 

"You're welcome." We heard a girl say as we looked up and saw that Trini girl from Queen's Strong flying over us. 

"She must've used her quirk to save us. Thank you!!" I shouted to her as she gave us a nod before flying ahead. 

"Come on, let's go! I can see the gate again!" Aqua said as we both took off once more. We arrived back at the gate we started at and we ran through, crossing a huge red line on the ground which marked the end of our race. 

"And next to return, both from Persevering Heights is Harper Leesons and Aqua Rivers! They've placed 55th and 56th! They've just squeaked in to make it to the next event!!" Present Mic announced as me and Aqua collapsed to our knees and began breathing heavily. 

"Oh my gosh, we were so closing to not advancing!!!" Aqua said with a bit of sadness in her voice. 

"Who.... cares...... we made it..... didn't we?" I said to her as she agreed. 

"Nice work, you two. Thought you might've fallen way behind back at the fire wall." Jiro said as she and Cry came walking up and helped us stand on our feet. 

"You kidding? It..... it was nothin'...." I jokingly said as we went over to the center of the arena. Now we just had to wait for the rest of the students still in the event to finish. But, if I was this exhausted from the first event, then even if the next one was in pairs, I'm not sure if i'll be able to last long. I just gotta hope my partner can carry me for a bit, and that they would appreciate someone who can stretch their limbs out. 

And, i'm sure I won't have enough time to implement my strategy yet. I just have to hope I can advance to the final round so I can use it. But if the next event's also a race, and only the top 16 advance, me getting 55th isn't looking good at all. I need to pick the right partner or else i'm gonna be going home early.
