And another villain goes down! Tika and Vergil KO Molly in an epic clash! But the timer remains ticking on that nuke. Ryan and his team have indeed been fighting Gregory off screen this whole time but we'll get to them all later. There's more villains at the building so we need to see some of them first. And, as promised at the end of the last chapter, this one will be the start of one of the highlight fights of this epic arc. Will it be Cry? Or Markus? Who's gonna be the lucky winner of having to fight first? Well you'll find out right now! Enjoy!

-POV: Lisa-

"Of all people..... why did it have to be him we got stuck with facing?" I thought to myself in absolute fear as Cry stood about 30ft away from us all. That twisted look on his face, it makes fighting him even worse for us now because he has the intention to kill now.

"I want everyone to keep your guard up at all times. And that includes you two vigilantes, understood? He has an incredibly dangerous quirk and most likely has a counter for all of us. This is no easy fight. But if we work together, then we may still win." Wrath Queen said with a mix of sadness and fear in her voice.

"Yeah, we got you. Really didn't hope it'd be this guy we had to fight though." Twilight said as she loaded up one of her guns with a full clip of some type of ammunition. 

"No matter how strong or what his quirk is, we will crush him! I am the greatest student of Gregorvsky Alpha! I am his equal in all aspect! Sergei will squash puny Cry!" Sergei said with pride as he cracked his knuckles. 

"Don't be an idiot, Sergei. I'm top student at Queen's Strong and even i'm smart enough to know I don't stand a chance alone against him. Do what Wrath Queen says, or else you're gonna get us all killed, ya twat." Trini said to him. 

"Maybe we won't need to worry at all. Twilight, let's give it a shot on him." Pein said as he suddenly started pointing at Twilight's head. 

"All of you are talking, but I see none of you coming at me. Do I have to do the honors of starting all this, or......?" Cry said, sounding a bit impatient as I remembered he always liked to go second in a fight.

"Oh, don't you worry. We're take the first and only move..." Pein said as a dark red aura began to appear around his head. He then pointed to Cry now as the aura appeared around his head as well. Cry began to grunt a bit as he brought one of his hands up to the side of his head. 

"Your quirk..... how does it work?" Wrath Queen asked him and Twilight. 

"He can take someone's pain in their memories and inflict it on someone else. But it's only really effective if that pain he's using is greater than what the victim's experienced in their life already." Twilight explained as Wrath Queen grew a face of worry. 

"Oh, that's not good..." She said. 

"What is it, what's wrong?" Twilight asked her. 

"Cry has literally died before! Which means no amount of pain any of us have can match and overcome that!" Wrath Queen shouted as Cry started to laugh. 

"Don't really know how you know that, Queen, but you're right. Which means your little pain transfer trick isn't gonna work on me. Now then, since you so kindly made the first move, allow me to follow...." Cry said as his veins began to glow purple like always. 

"Everybody, MOVE NOW!!!" Wrath Queen shouted as everyone literally dove from where they stood. A huge thunderbolt then came down where we used to be standing, blasting apart the floor and setting a fire around the hole it had left.

"How'd you know he was gonna do that?" I asked Queen as everyone got back up. 

"Because it's what I would've done if I were him. Now Lisa, I do hope you've chosen a powerful character from a book that you have confidence in." Wrath Queen said to me as I clenched my fists again and lowered my head. 

"I.... I tried beating Cry before.... even with the most powerful character in all of fiction.... but I didn't stand a chance.... he didn't even move in our fight.... so what am I supposed to do now?" I said as Wrath Queen stepped over while still keeping her eyes on Cry, then out her right flaming hand on my left shoulder. 

"Listen, I heard about what happened then. But you chose the easy route and thought it would give you a quick win. Because you thought that, it brought hesitation and stupidity to yourself and it clouded your mind. So don't choose something that you think will beat him but you have no confidence in. Instead, open your mind, choose a book in which you know all too well, and use whatever ability you gain to its maximum capabilities." Wrath Queen said to me as I lifted my head up and saw she was giving me a smile. Even in this truly terrifying moment, she could still smile and hide her fear. 

"I guess I did think that simply choosing a strong character would bring me a guaranteed victory.... and so it was in that moment I had lost. So now, I'll pick a character that I know more about than any other." I said as I pulled the only book I had on me from the inside of my jacket. This book has been my favourite since my mother read it to me since the age of 2, and it was one I could always rely on in almost any situation. And it houses a truly remarkable character. A woman taken from her world and put into another, having to take on the role of a legendary hero...." I said as I opened my book which was titled "The 5th Hero."

My book glowed for a moment before suddenly closing. Then, my hair did the same, glowing a bright gold colour before stopping. But that's all it needs to do as i'd now gained the abilities of this character. Even some of her physical features were now mine to control. A pair of black angel wings had sprouted from my back, and a black and purple bladed battle axe appeared in my hands. 

"Ayuma..... bring me the strength to succeed once again...." I said as I took in a deep breath and prepared to do battle with Cry once more. 

"Oh will you all shut up already so we can fight!? You're boring me with all your little chit-chat over there. You're on a freakin' timer, remember? Time's a ticking!" Cry shouted to us as the six of us lined up. Sergei turned into his demon form, Trini's hair began to rise as she activated her powers, Pein slipped on some brass knuckles, Twilight aimed both of her guns at him, Wrath Queen started forming fire within her mouth, and lightning began to form around the blades of my axe.

"Let's take him down!!" Wrath Queen roared as we all charged Cry at once. 

"Finally! Let's see what you shitty heroes can really do!!" Cry roared as Trini took the lead.

"I'll keep him in place! Everyone else, pummel him!!" She shouted as she pointed her right arm out, extending out her pinky and middle fingers at Cry. He went to take a step but he froze about halfway  through it as we all approached him. 

"Think this is gonna stop me, eh? That's funny! Real funny!" Cry said as all his veins glowed again. Two portals suddenly opened on either side of him and fire and lighting blasted out of them. Sergei was struck by the lightning and was forced to one knee and the fire blew past everyone towards Trini.

"Oh bollocks!" Trini shouted as she had to release Cry and dive away from the fire.

"It worked on him before, so let's see if it'll work again!" Twilight shouted as she shot some sort of blue bullet at Cry. But before it could hit him, he opened up a portal in front of him and the bullet flew through. A second portal then opened up to his right and the bullet came back out and struck Wrath Queen in the chest. It gave her an immense electric shock, similar to a taser. She nearly collapsed as she dropped to her knees. 

"Don't think those little tricks are gonna work on me again, you quirkless wannabe hero. I don't make mistakes twice ever! Now die." Cry said as he unleashed a purple energy beam from his black obsidian arm right at her. 

"Get out of the way!!" I shouted as I shoved her out of the way. 

"Soaring Thunderbird Strike!!!" I shouted as I swung my battle axe upward, generating more electricity through it as I smashed it against the beam. My swing actually was able to redirect the beam and force it up into the ceiling.

"Ooooooo! Seems you can actually block an attack from me this time. Or perhaps it was just luck. Either way, the luck's gonna run out real fast!" Cry said as Sergei suddenly rushed past me, bearing his claws and roaring at the smug enemy. 

"I will break every bone in your body!!!" Sergei howled as, at the same time, I threw my axe at Cry. It flew right past Sergei and right for Cry who raised up his right arm. 

"Get this toy out of my face!" Cry shouted as he batted away my axe. He knocked it behind him as Sergei rushed up and bit down on his right arm. He only pushed Cry back a few feet before they came to a complete stop. 

"I've seen goldfish with bigger teeth than you. And you're a top student? Heh.... nothing but pathetic is what you are!" Cry shouted as ice began to form on his right arm. It expanded onto Sergei, running down his mouth and covering his body until he was completely frozen. Cry then yanked his arm out of his teeth and wiped some ice shards off his shirt. 

"Maybe you should focus on more important things than judging our abilities!!" I shouted as I reached out to left hand. 

"But you're all just complete shit and trash against me. My quirk can beat all-" Cry tried to say as my axe bashed him in the back of the head as it flew back into my hand. Cry fell to the ground as only the flat end of my axe hit him, and he quickly got back up looking a little more pissed off. 

"Note to self: The book worm can actually do shit now." Cry said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"You should pay more attention to your surroundings, boy!! Never know when things may drop on you!!" Wrath Queen suddenly shouted as she flew in from above me, her body now having its wyverian features like the talons, venomous tail and wings. She came down on Cry and latched her talons onto his shoulders. Cry looked over his shoulder and saw her try and stab him with the spike on the end of her tail, but as she was about to get him, he made a portal appear. 

"Like hell i'm letting you get me with that thing!!" Cry shouted as a portal opened up right next to me. The end of the tail came out but I leaned back before she could stab me with it. Cry then tried to close the portal on the tail but Queen pulled it out before it closed.

"Fine then! Trini! Get ready!!" Wrath Queen roared as she whipped her talons up, sending Cry flying through the air. 

"You're mine now, wanker!!" Trini shouted as she reached out both her arms, extending her pinky and rings fingers on each one. Cry came to a complete stop in midair and floated there for a few seconds before Trini began to wave her arms around in all directions, making Cry crash all over the room. Into the ceiling, the floors, the walls, she took him everywhere.

"How does that feel, ya bloke!?" Trini shouted as Cry's veins glowed once more. A portal opened up right in front of where she sent him next and he flew right into it. A second opened up right behind Trini and he crashed into her, sending her sliding across the floor. Cry then got up first and walked over to grab her by the hair. 

"You're gonna regret all that, you little bitch!" Cry said as he lifted her up to eye level and then pulled her in close. He had her hair in his right obsidian hand and, in the air next to his left, a hunting knife appeared. He grabbed it with his free hand and held it high to stab her. But as he took his swing to stab her in the chest, Twilight shot his hand with one of her guns and made him drop her and his knife. Cry screamed in pain as there was now a hole in his hand which he grasped tightly. 

"Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!! You bitch!!" Cry shouted as Trini ran over to Pein and got behind him. 

"Guess you do make mistakes twice since I shot you again. Maybe think twice before saying things that make you look like an idiot!" Twilight said as she pulled out that clip of real bullets and swapped it with another filled with black coloured bullets.

"Don't really like using real bullets, but you gave me no choice, kid. Now surrender or you'll just end up hurting yourself even more." Twilight told Cry as he seemed to just shake off the pain from getting shot. 

"You know it's better if you keep using those real bullets. Because they're the only thing that you have that could stop me." Cry said as Twilight shot at him again. But Cry was able to literally reach up and catch the black bullet in his right obsidian hand. But as soon as he caught it, the bullet exploded into smoke and engulfed him.

"Pein, get in there now! I'll give you some cover!" Twilight said as she swapped back to her taser bullets and took aim. She fired one into the smoke and seemed to make contact as a loud zapping sound could be heard from within, as well as some painful grunts from Cry. 

"Sorry, kid, but you're going down!" Pein shouted as he leaped into the smoke as it was starting to dissipate. Cry was still standing despite being shot by the taser bullet but his movements were very limited. He tried swinging his obsidian arm at Pein but he ducked underneath it. Pein then delivered a massive uppercut to Cry's jaw with his brass knuckles, sending him flying back across the room. He landed hard on his back and let out a quick scream before starting to get up again. 

"Not bad..... not bad at all..... This is way more fun than I thought it was gonna be...." Cry said as he stood up tall and wiped some blood off his chin and lower lip. 

"If you wish to continue then more of the same will follow. So do the right thing and surrender, then end all the suffering before it begins." Wrath Queen spoke to him as he just laughed at her. 

"Oh dear, you are such a stereotypical hero, you know that? You sound all high and mighty, you fight for what you believe is right, you pretend to care even for the foe you are facing. But despite all that, it's all just bullshit." Cry replied to her. 

"What she says is the truth. We don't want to see you hurt yourself, nor do we really want to fight you. You are not who you believe to be, Cry. We are your allies, not the Injustice Squad. Please, you have to believe us." I said to him as he then looked over to me. 

"And why should I? Where were you heroes when my father was unfairly let go of his position from the marine corps.!? Where were you when my mother was murdered in cold blood!? Where were you when my father needed you the most!?" Cry shouted as the air suddenly began to fill with moisture. 

"Everyone, i'd suggest taking a deep breath very soon!" Wrath Queen said as Cry's veins glowed purple once more. I took in a deep breath, as did everyone else as he filled the entire room with water. 

"Now what will you do when I take all of you out of your element?" Cry said to us as he was shielding himself inside a body sized layer of air. 

"I'm about to turn the tides on you, asshole! Don't underestimate me or this axe I wield!" I thought as I began to wave my axe around, creating something akin to a whirlpool. 

"Sea Serpents Coil Crush!" I shouted as I launched the whirlpool at him. Cry was sucked into it and churned up, smashing into the floor and ceiling several times before he hit the frozen Sergei. He used his body to keep himself from crashing into things but in the panic of the whirlpool, it seemed to make him lose some of his focus. We could see his air layer around him was gone and he was starting to gasp for air. 

"Gotcha.... Now he should release all the water..." I thought as he did just that. He used his quirk to drain the room completely, allowing the rest of us to breath as well. 

"You think you're so smart because you used my own strategy against me. Well let's see what happens when I take away that axe of yours!" Cry said as he pointed at my weapon with his obsidian arm then made his veins glow again. But nothing happened to my axe at all. It just remained the same, in shape, in weight, everything. 

"Wait, what? Why the hell isn't this working?" Cry questioned in confusion as I now laughed at him. 

"That's because this axe is under a spell of divine protection. Magic that is so strong it prevents any tampering or destruction of the weapon. In other words, you can't do a thing to it." I told him as he just squinted his eyes at me before growing a twisted smile. 

"Is that so....? Well then...." He said as he opened a portal next to him, then next to me, reached through his and then yanked my axe out of my hands and closed the portals. 

"What happens when I just take it?" Cry asked as he dropped it on the ground. 

"Then I just call it back to me like I did before." I said as I reached out my left hand to make my axe fly back to me. But it didn't move at all this time. I tried over and over again but it wasn't budging even an inch. 

"What did you do to it?" I asked him. 

"I increased the gravity around it by 100 times. It ain't going nowhere now." Cry said as suddenly, a very loud *CRACK* sound echoed through the entire room. 

"What the hell is it now?" Cry questioned as he turned around and looked at Sergei. The ice encasing him was cracking, most likely from Cry smashing into him before. We could hear Sergei roaring from within as the ice cracked and cracked even more before being blasted off of him, filling the air with mist and ice shards. 

"Oh terrific, now it's back to si-" Cry tried to say as Sergei suddenly appeared in front of him through the mist and swung his tail, striking Cry right in the side of his chest and sending him flying into a wall. 

"Lisa, assist him! I think his rage has gotten the better of him! Sergei could be out of control and could kill my son!" Wrath Queen ordered me as she took off into the air as well. I started running for Cry as Sergei charged him at full speed.

"You wanna go, big guy!? Let's go!! Let's see you eat this!!!" Cry shouted as he started generating black lightning on his obsidian arm, raising it up to fire. 

"I don't think so!! It's time we get rid of that thing!!" I shouted as I threw my axe right at Cry. And just as he had his shot lined up, my axe made contact and sliced through his right arm like butter, completely severing it from the elbow down and cancelling out his attack. 

"What!? Oh shit!!" Cry shouted with utter shock in his voice as Sergei crashed into him, grabbing his head and ramming it against the wall. 

"I tell you I will crush you, puny boy!! Now you taste my flame!!" Sergei shouted as he opened his mouth wide and started generating his flames within it. 

"Sergei, stop!! You'll kill him!!" Wrath Queen ordered but Sergei seemed to be in a blind rage now. 

"DEMONIC HELLFIRE!!!" Sergei roared as he unleashed a gigantic fire breath point blank into Cry. 

"Oh my god, please stop!!" Trini screamed as she looked absolutely horrified. But our concern for Cry quickly turned for a concern for Sergei when we saw his flames were now coming from behind him and striking his own back. 

"An attack's no good when you can't make contact with a target that's even as close as right in front of you, ya know...." We heard Cry say as Sergei stopped breathing his flames and then fell to one knee, his back on fire partially as he began to turn back to his human form. 

"A top student, eh? You should know better than to challenge someone who's way out of your league." Cry said as he had made a portal between him and Sergei and one behind Sergei to completely nullify his attack on him. 

"And now, to finish you..." Cry said as Wrath Queen began to swoop in.

"Don't you dare touch him, Cry!! He's already beaten, there's no need to inflict anymore pain!!" She shouted to him as Cry made a portal right in front of her which she had no choice but to fly through. She reappeared all the way on the other side of the room, leaving all of us far away from Cry and Sergei. 

"Don't worry, i'll take care of him!" Twilight said as she shot at him a few times. But her bullets came to a complete stop as they bounced off something before they could hit Cry. 

"Didn't want to chance anything this time so I made a force field to block those little annoying bullets of yours." Cry explained as he created a new obsidian arm for himself. 

"Now then, where were we?" Cry said as his right arm began to generate black lightning once more. 

"You will not win this day.... it will end with heroes over you...." Sergei said to Cry which only made him laugh. 

"Well the day's not over yet, big guy. Lot's can happen.... lot's can happen..... now go to sleep for me....." Cry said as he placed his hand on Sergei's head, electrocuting him. Sergei screamed in agonizing pain at the top of his lungs as we watched smoke began to emerge from his mouth and even his ears. And Cry kept his grip on Sergei for easily 30 seconds before finally letting go. 

"One down..." Cry said as he then tapped Sergei's head and watched as he fully collapsed onto the ground, way beyond unconscious and no longer a factor in this fight of ours. 

"Five to go...."

Alright, that marks the end of this chapter and part 1 to the Cry fight. Hope you all enjoyed but now I've got a very interesting question for all of you. As everyone here knows, in normal MHA, Class 1-B gets way less screen time and credit than 1-A, and Cry is meant to be that factor that brings them out of Class A's shadow. Well, how does this sound to all of you? We'll do a one time arc in the past from Cry and class B's POV as they become the students who go to Nabu island in the second movie in Heroes Rising instead of class A. I've been thinking of this for a while and I know how to make everything work, but I want to know what all of you think. Heroes Rising featuring class 1-B, yay or nay? It's up to you to decide!
