No More Playing Nice
THEY DID IT!!! THEY FREAKIN' DID IT!!! THEY STOPPED THE NUKE FROM GOING OFF!!!! WOO!!!!! But in all seriousness, claps for everyone who fought at the stadium to stop that bomb from going off. Even to Pein who only got there at the back end of the fight. And yes, that does mean only 4 heroes remain who are battling Cry. Just makes it WAY more harder for them now. And, it should be interesting to see how the remaining villains react to the bomb not detonating. None shall be happy, that's for sure. And now, it's time to see exactly what they think of it all. Time to get back into the action! Enjoy!
*Hey, this is me talking a few days later! How's it going!? Anyways, this chapter is gonna be a bit different than the rest. It's gonna feature three fights in it. The reason behind this is because me and my family are going on vacation soon and I would like to finish this arc before we go. So, i'm turning three chapters into one, which'll mean it's gonna be longer than what the others have been lately. So expect a chapter around the normal length this time! See ya!*
-POV: Maia-
"It should've gone off like 5 minutes ago. What the hell is going on!? Why didn't the bomb detonate!?" Jake shouted in frustration as me and Amy were currently spread out around the room we were fighting in. Amy was hiding behind a fridge while I hid behind a big filing cabinet. Neither one of us have been able to make an attempt to attack Jake because his gun type quirk has been keeping us away. Amy can hit him at a distance but her weather quirk isn't really suited for a closed-in space like we're in right now.
"Sounds like our friends ruined your plans, dumbass! Maybe you should just give up like those guys probably did! It'll be easier for you that way!" I said to Jake as he just let out a sigh.
"No can do, little girl. It just means we're gonna have to do things ourselves now. Which means I need A LOT more firepower." Jake said as we saw him pull out this needle thing from his back pocket. He stuck it in his neck and grunted a bit before he pulled it out and smashed it on the ground.
"Wait, what the heck did he just put into himself? Is that the Trigger stuff we've heard so much about?" Amy questioned.
"I bet it's that Trigger stuff we've heard so much about. This can't be good at all!" I said as Jake began to laugh at us.
"You got that right, girlies. And thanks to this amazing drug, it's boosted my quirk to new heights!! I've got unlimited ammunition!!!" Jake shouted as he swapped his hands to assault rifles and than started to fire again. And he definitely exceeded the normal limit of ammo those types of guns held and just kept on firing at us.
"What the hell are we supposed to do now!? We could barely move on this guy before but now it's impossible!!" I said as Amy suddenly clapped her hands together.
"Maybe not. But this is gonna take one hell of an accurate shot to pull off!" Amy said as a loud thunderclap suddenly roared over all the gunfire. I peered over to the nearest window and saw the clouds above the building lighting up like crazy. Amy was generating a thunderstorm inside the already existing rainstorm.
"You're little light show outside is pretty, little girl, but it's not doin' a thing to me in here!! Now come around that fridge already!!" Jake shouted as Amy reached out her right arm from behind the fridge, leaving it open. She was shot twice in the hand before she swung it back to her and then slammed her palm against the wall she was next to.
"What the hell are you doing!? You just let him shoot you and now.... you're..... what....?" I tried to say but I stopped when lots of flashing lights began to shine outside the windows. Suddenly, a huge lightning bolt curved and shot into the building, striking Jake and sending him flying across the room and through a wall.
"Wha!? Holy shit!!! Amy, how the absolute hell did you just curve an actual lightning bolt!!??" I shouted in absolute awe as she chuckled and grasped her hand tightly.
"I can do things like that because I can control the weather itself. But it still takes quite a lot of focus and precision to do it, obviously. That was like a one in a million shot." Amy said as she then let out a quick yelp. Her hand has a big hole in it from being shot. I ran over as I figured I had the time and I picked up a ripped piece of a curtain on my way to her.
"Here, hold your hand out. This'll slow the bleeding and relieve some pain a bit." I said as I began to bandage her hand up with the piece of curtain.
"Thanks. Think that got him?" Amy questioned as we looked over to the hole in the wall Jake blew through. Our question quickly became answered when he came crawling out of it, on his hands and knees as he held the back of his head, rubbing his hair a bit.
"Fuck..... that really hurt...." He said as I started to make my way over to him. I bent down onto my hands and feet and then activated my quirk. My whole body began to grow in size as I became covered in fur. Whole body changed form into a massive grizzly bear, and I completed my transformation with a mighty roar.
"Get 'em, Maia!!" Amy shouted as I charged Jake as he tried to get up onto his feet. But as he just got up and went to turn his right hand into a gun, I bashed into him and chomped down on his right shoulder, dragging him fast along the ground until we crashed into a wall.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" Jake screamed as I let go of his shoulder and roared in his face. I then raised up my right claw and went to swipe at him. But he changed his left hand into a shotgun and used the barrel to block my attack. It still knocked him down though and I went to hit him again.
"I've killed bears before..... and you're not gonna be any different!!" Jake shouted as he turned his right hand into a pistol and fired a quick shot into my left leg. I stopped my attack to take a step back as I let out a roar of pain.
"Big bear is really just a scared little cat, eh? Well, let's see what happens when you're hit with this!!" Jake shouted as he turned both of his hands into rocket launchers and aimed them at me. He fired them directly at me, but before they struck a massive gust of wind ripped through the room and sent them way off course, blowing down another wall to the outside.
"Don't forget about me, bastard!" Amy shouted as Jake swapped his right hand to a shotgun aiming it at me, and turned his left into an assault rifle aiming it at Amy.
"I'll kill you both right here and now!" He shouted as he opened fire on both of us. I turned myself back to my human form and avoided the shot by diving behind a thick metal table. Amy dashed back behind the fridge as we were essentially back to where we were when we started this fight.
"Maia!!" Amy shouted for me as I peered around the edge of the table to see her looking at me. She was mouthing words to me, but it was hard to tell what she was trying to say. However, after about the 5th or 6th try, I think I finally got it.
"Use the table as a shield! That's brilliant!" I thought as I grasped the edges of the table and then activated my quirk again, turning myself into a bear once more. I began to push forward, taking the table with me as it acted as my shield to advance on Jake.
"Don't think that's gonna save you, little girl..." Jake said as something came rolling along the floor to my left. I looked down and saw a grenade by my feet. But before I could even think about running away from it, the grenade exploded, engulfing me in the blast as I hit the ceiling then came down, landing on my back as several large and heavy ceiling panels crashed down on top of me.
"Agh!! Fuck, I can't move!!" I shouted as all the pain reverted me back to normal. I laid on my back under all the panels, with only my head, right arm, and legs sticking out of the debris.
"You may be able to turn into an apex creature, but in the end you're nothing more than prey for me to hunt down and kill...." Jake said as he reached down, grabbed me by my neck and then pulled me out of the rubble and off the ground.
"Let.... go...." I said as I tried to pry myself free from his grip. But he had his left hand clamped around my neck hard.
"Now, you die!!" Jake shouted as he turned his other hand into a shotgun and shoved it against my chest. But before he could shoot, I let go of his arm holding me and tried to move the gun away from me. I managed to move it away from my chest but he still fired and blew off the entire right portion of my waist.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" I wailed as the pain was absolutely unbearable. Jake then dropped me as I landed hard on my back over a pile of broken rubble. Jake stomped down onto my chest hard and pushed the barrel of his gun right onto my forehead.
"That was just a taste, bitch. Now you die for re-" He tried to say as a large ice chunk, maybe twice the size of a baseball suddenly flew in from his left and crashed into his face. It made him stumble away but he quickly regained his balance and we both looked over. There stood Amy with a small hail storm swirling around her body, herself breathing incredibly heavily, looking like she might pass out at any moment.
"Right.... forgot you were here. Let's change that." Jake said as he fired at her. But she quickly waved her right hand around and made the hail storm essentially make a shield of ice in front of her to block the shot.
"Alright, then again! And again!" Jake shouted as he fired a few more times, but Amy would block ever single one of his shots. But eventually, she ran out of ice, meaning she was reduced to a simple wind storm inside this room.
"Can't.... hold this.... such a.... compact.... storm...." Amy said as her wind was beginning to die down.
"No more ice means no more ways to defend! Now go to hell, girl." Jake said as he kept on shooting at her. But Amy gritted her teeth and focused even more, whipping her wind up to great speeds to the point it was picking up broken rubble and tossing it around the room. The rubble was blocking all the shots so Jake swapped to his rocket launchers again and fired off dozens of them at once.
"Get.... those things..... away from me!!" Amy roared as she yet again increased the speed of her wind, easily picking them up to 200mph. The wind was so strong that she redirected all of the rockets and made them turn back to Jake.
"Oh fuck!!!" Jake shouted in utter shock as he tried to run away. But all the rockets struck the ground at his feet and erupted into a massive explosion that sent him flying through the ceiling, then he came crashing down through a portion of the ceiling further away, having a massive pile of debris fall and crush him. Amy then collapsed down to one knee, stopping her quirk as the rest of the rubble dropped to the ground all over the place.
"Maia..... hang on.... i'll be there.... in a second...." Amy said as she pushed herself up to her feet and then limped her way over. She fell to her knees right next to me and then ripped off the bottom portion of her shirt. She first pressed down on my large wound to try and slow the bleeding, which eventually worked and then she wrapped the shirt around my waist, or what was left of it, to slow things down as much as possible.
"Looks like.... you got him...." I said as we both looked over to Jake. Her was underneath easily 6ft of rubble, with nothing but his head and arms showing, his head bleeding quite a lot.
"Cut it.... pretty close. Making.... a miniature storm.... takes a lot out of me..... lots of focus...... Now..... let's see if we can find.... something to help that wound of yours....." Amy said as she slowly lifted me onto my feet. We both then scowered the rest of the floor we were on to find medical supplies for the two of us. Hopefully our friends were fairing better than we were....
-POV: Aqua-
"Little girl, little girl, my how you're such a pain. If only you could get outside to the rain. Just breath in my gas and this'll all be over with. I'll be nice and let you live so you can watch as I slit the throats of all your friends. After all, with the bomb not detonating, we have to do things ourselves." Jade said to me as I watched her pull out a needle full of the Trigger drug and stick it into her neck. She pulled it out and grunted a few times before her neon green skin began to get even brighter.
"Oh this cannot be good...." I said as I was super exhausted from running and holding my breath for long periods of time.
"And now, your little water quirk can't hurt me anymore. Witness the birth of a goddess." Jade said as her entire body, minus her clothes, turned into the green toxic gas itself. She took flight around the room, spreading her gassy form all over the place as I covered my mouth and nose once more to stop myself from potentially inhaling it.
"I've used up so much water in this greenhouse room already. I'm running out of ammo. Gotta get out of here and find a source of water!" I thought as I turned to run away. However, Jade quickly flew past me and stopped in front of the nearest door, essentially blocking my escape.
"Ah, ah, ah, no running from me, girly. And now that I've become my quirk, I don't need you to inhale my gas through your mouth or nose. Your ears will do fine!" Jade shouted as I knew she meant she'd literally fly inside of me through my ears. So I turned again and bolted across the room to another door, but like before Jade made it there first and blocked me.
"Oh screw it!!" I said as I just ran right through Jade and rammed myself through the door. I was running out of breath so I had no choice.
"And that is checkmate." Jade said as I took one of my hands off my mouth and felt her gas coming out of my left ear.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" I thought as I continued to run away, breaking into an office room with a bunch of windows and Jade nowhere in sight for now. I finally had a moment to breath but my timer was running short now thanks to her gas being inside of me now.
"Oh little giiiiirrrrrrlllllll...... Where are youuuuuuuuuuu......?" Jade said in a very creepy voice as her glowing green gas form came floating around the corner to the doorway and entered the room. I'd rushed to the opposite side of the room and grabbed a chair. I swung it at the closest window and smashed it to pieces, giving me access to the rain outside at last.
"Now it's my turn to hurt you!" I said as I reached my right hand out and focused on the falling rain. Hundreds of droplets stopped in midair and I whipped my arm forward, aiming it at Jade as all the rain drops came flying into the building like bullets. However, the rain drops simply went right through her gas body, doing absolutely nothing as she just laughed at me.
"Did you really think that was going to work on me? I'm don't have a physical body anymore, water can't touch me." Jade said as I now began to laugh at her.
"Never said those drops were meant to stop you in the first place." I said as I clapped my hands together. Below Jade was a fairly large puddle of water and, by clapping my hands, the water rose off the ground in its entirety and swirled around Jade before coming together and trapping her inside a ball of water.
"Makes things much harder for you in there, doesn't it!?" I said as I could see Jade trying to fly out of the bubble, but being made of gas, it proved difficult as her body would rather expand and fill the bubble than try to escape the water itself.
"No! Let me out!!" I could hear Jade shout while muffled a but from being in water.
"Now, let's get you out.... of..... Oh no...." I said as I could feel my whole body beginning to tense up. My arms and legs were freezing in place, as did the rest of my body shortly after. Jade's gas was finally coming into effect and I was now paralyzed. And because I lost focus from the paralysis taken over, it caused the bubble of water to drop and free Jade.
"Oh how unfortunate this is for you. So close to potentially defeating me, and yet fate decides to throw me the ball this time...." Jade said as her gassy body was starting to become solid again.
"Aw, shit. Damn it, has it been ten minutes already?" She questioned in frustration as her solid body fully formed..... naked thanks to her clothes falling off from her body being made of gas earlier.
"Don't have another one of those needles on me. So, i'll be right back, girly. Don't move." Jade taunted me as I stood there motionless and watched her casually walk out of the room to retrieve her clothes.
"I have to move..... Just a god damn inch will do!! So I can use the rain again!!!" I thought as I tried to move anything at all on my body. But I made zero progress. So instead, I tried something that seemed completely hopeless and just tried focusing on the rain behind me, even though I had no arm movements or eye contact.
"Focus.... feel the water.... feel yourself taking control...." I said as I was able to close my eyes and cancel out all noise besides the rain. I could visualize it in my mind, and I imagined it stopping in midair like before. And very strangely, the sound of the rain was becoming quieter and quieter.
"That's much better. All nice and clothed again. But, i'm gonna have to break my word from before, girly. I've decided I am indeed going to kill you before I kill the rest of your friends." Jade said as she came walking back into the room, fully clothed and pulling a hunting knife out of her jacket.
"Feel yourself moving the water..... aiming it at your target.... And now..... I strike!!" I thought as I imagined the rain flying into the room to attack Jade. And to my shock it did just that. The rain came flying into the building, easily over a hundred droplets and they just began to pelt away hard on Jade, knocking her back until she was pushed against a wall.
"Ow..... what..... the hell.....?" Jade said as she fell to one knee before shaking off the pain and getting up again, her body soaking wet and bruised pretty heavily.
"The fuck was all that!? I thought you could only move water around with you arms!?" Jade questioned me.
"You know what, forget it. You can't freakin' talk anyway. And besides, it's not like i'm gonna let the rain stop me from murdering you. Now, where were we....?" Jade said as she began to approach me again, wiping off the water from her knife as she twirled it a few times in her right hand.
"I need more.... The rain isn't enough!!" I thought as I remember back to when I broke the window. In the distance, maybe just less than a kilometre away was the Delaware river.
"That's what I need.... Gotta.... reach.... further....!" I thought as I focused as hard as I could, thinking hard about the river as I imagined the water in it flying out and going towards the building we were in. And just as Jade got within 6ft of me, she suddenly stopped and grew one hell of a fearful expression on her face.
"Jesus..... Christ!!!" She yelled as she turned and ran away, only for a massive geyser of water to come up through the window behind me and sweep her off her legs, smashing her all across the room.
"Aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!" Jade screamed as she was swept left, right, up, and down all over the place, crashing into metal filing cabinets, light panels, and even through desks until I made the water stop churning for a moment.
"Was that enough?" I thought, hoping she was down for the count now. But some movement made it clear she was far from being KO'd.
"I told you, some god damn water isn't gonna stop me!! No more fucking tricks now, ya hear!!?? You're dead!!" Jade said as she began to charge me, her movements a lot slower from being almost waste deep in water.
"Don't think so. I can control more than just the movement of water, bitch!" I thought as I now focused on changing the state of the element. The room got a whole lot colder as the water began to freeze, trapping Jade in it as she became immobile from the waste down. However, I left the water on my side of the room in its liquid form in case she tried something funny.
"Fucking bitch!! Let me go!!!" Jade screamed as she threw her knife at me. But I was easily able to deflect it away with the water on my side of the room. Jade then reached into her jacket to try and pull out some more knives but her face grew into shock as she realized they'd all been washed away when she was bowled over by all the water.
"Now it's my checkmate...." I thought as I used a bubble of water and splashed it over Jade's face, freezing it on contact to seal her mouth up, ensuring she couldn't use her quirk anymore.
"MMMPH!!!" Jade screamed in a muffled voice as she tried prying off the ice, but to no avail.
"And that's that..... One villain..... down...." I thought as I was completely exhausted. Jade was a lot more work than I thought she'd be and she really pushed me over the edge. And, i'm really hoping her paralysis wears off on me before she finds a way to get out or another villain shows up. Otherwise, I really might be as good as dead....
-POV: Kira-
"Ladies, you cannot be serious right now. I mean, it's two-on-one, and i'm in a freakin' wheelchair. Surely you two can do better than this, right?" Ping said as neither me nor Sophie had landed a single hit on him yet. But, he was able to land a multitude on us, whether it was his crippled legs or just from his wheelchair itself.
"You kidding.....? We're just..... getting.... warmed up..... right.... Sophie....?" I asked her as I rose up to my feet slowly and shakily, my body bruised and a bit bloody.
"Y-Yeah..... Just..... s-start-ting....." Sophie said as she sat on her knees, her body shaking as well as she still looked as afraid from when we started this fight.
"Well i'll give you two one thing, you heroes are way too persistent. You guys stopped the bomb, after all. Which means it's time I step up my game." Ping said as he reached into his sweatshirt he was wearing and pulled out a needle of Trigger.
"Is that stuff..... really necessary....? I mean.... just look at us.... we're nearly beaten.... and you're practically..... at 100%...." I said to him as he injected it into himself and grunted a few times.
"Yeah, you're right, but I just wanna use it. See what it's like to have a super radar quirk." Ping said as he pulled the needle out and smashed it onto the ground.
"Oooooo..... that's weird....." Ping said as he shook his head a bit.
"What is....? What's wrong....?" Sophie asked as Ping just started to giggle a bit.
"My quirk doesn't feel any different, actually. I mean it. But, it looks like the Trigger did something else to boost me..." Ping said as I just became very concerned and curious.
"What did..... it do?" I asked him as he stood up off his wheelchair on both of his legs.
"Oh shit...." Me and Sophie said at the same time as we knew this was insanely bad for us.
"Never thought i'd see the day again. Feels good to actually stretch my legs..." Ping said as he shook them a bit before cracking his knuckles.
"Now let's see what they can do!!" He shouted as he went into a full sprint at us.
"Oh c-crap! What're w-we gonna d-do!?" Sophie shouted in a panic as Ping came up on us fast as flipped himself forward, swinging his right leg around as he went to strike.
"Get down!!" I said as I grabbed the back of her head and pushed us both down to avoid the leg swing. But Ping landed right in front of us and then reached down and grabbed me by my hair, lifting me up off the ground.
"L-Let go of her!!" Sophie said as she tried to touch Ping, hoping to affect him with her shrinking quirk. Ping let go of me to avoid her hands and he jumped back a bit over to his wheelchair.
"Too close, too close....." Ping said as he wiped some dust off himself.
"Sophie, you're the best shot we've got at beating this guy. Look around, you've got ammunition all around us." I told her as she turned and saw all the furniture in the room.
"What're you talking about?" She asked me.
"Shrink something with your quirk, then throw it at that guy. Then before it hits, shrink something else and make that first item grow again." I told her as she gave me a nod, seemingly understanding what I was putting down. She then ran over to a wooden table and touched it, shrinking it down to the size of a quarter which she then picked up in her left hand.
"Nah, ah, ah, not letting you try any tricks!" Ping shouted as he picked up his wheelchair and just chucked it at Sophie. However, I picked up an office chair and threw it in the way to stop Ping's attack.
"Sophie, toss it already!!" I shouted as I looked over to see her in mid-swing already. She threw the tiny table at Ping as hard as she could and when it got close, Sophie reached over and touched a large couch, shrinking it. The table then enlarged back to normal size.
"Oh shit!!" Ping shouted as he dove out of the way. The table flew right past him and smashed against a window, breaking it as the table fell out of the building.
"Nice attack but you've got a lousy throw." Ping said as he got back up and started running for us again.
"Maybe she does, but let's see what happens when you can't move!" I said as I phased through the floor except for my hands. I moved myself to intercept Ping and I grabbed his legs as he went over me. I stopped him for now but he tried very hard to rip his feet out of my grip.
"Get the hell off me, you little brat!" Ping shouted as he slipped one foot out of his shoe, then the other.
"Sophie, do it now!!" I screamed as I saw her throw the shrunken couch from before, then touch a metal filing cabinet to shrink it and make the couch grow. She large couch struck Ping and knock him down, getting trapped underneath it. I then pulled myself back out of the floor and took a breather.
"Not done yet...." I heard Ping say as he now started to lift the couch off him.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me!?" I said as he lifted it up high, pushing himself up to his knees then up onto his feet again, still holding the couch the whole time.
"Being disabled from the waist down really helps someone build up their upper body strength." Ping said as Sophie then tossed the tiny filing cabinet at him.
"That's enough from you!" Ping shouted as he threw the cough and struck the cabinet when Sophie made it grow again.
"Now's my chance!" I said as Ping actually couldn't see me right now since the couch and cabinet were between us. So, I used my intangibility and jumped through the debris, catching Ping by surprised as I rammed my right leg into his chest. I knocked him back a bit as he stumbled back towards the broken window.
"You bitch! Get over here!!" He shouted as he stepped over and tried to grab me again. But I phased through the floor like before and came back up over by Sophie.
"Listen, I've got a plan...." I said as I began to whisper my plan into Sophie's ears.
"Wait, what!? But I've never tried that before!! W-What if I hurt y-" She tried to question as I quickly covered up her mouth with my right hand to stop her from potentially giving away our plan.
"Shhhhhh!!! Don't say it too loudly or he'll catch on..." I whispered to her as she gave me a nod. I then removed my hand from her mouth and she shrunk a medium sized printer. She then threw it at Ping as we followed behind it, running beside each other.
"What're you two planning now!? Either way, it's not gonna beat me!!" Ping shouted as he ran at us as well.
"Do it now, Sophie!!" I shouted as she then touched me and shrunk me down to the size of a quarter. The printer then grew and bashed into Ping, stopping him for a moment as Sophie reached down, picked me up and tossed me hard right at Ping.
"Little.... Wait, what the!?" Ping shouted as he saw me coming. And when I got close to him, Sophie shrunk something else and made me grow back to normal. I repositioned myself into a flying kick and went to strike Ping with all my might.
"You're such a dumbass!" Ping shouted as he took a step to his right, making my foot go right past him as he reached out and grabbed me by my neck, bring me to a full stop as he held me tight above the ground.
"H-Hold on, K-Kira! I'll help!!" Sophie said as she started to run over to save me.
"Don't even try it, shrinker girl!" Ping shouted as Sophie came to a full stop.
"Take one more step and I drop little Kira here out of this window all the way down to the ground." Ping threatened as Sophie took a step back. Ping just held me there and chuckled a bit as I tried to pry myself out of his grip. But he was so freakin' strong, it was unreal.
"Ugh! The hell.... No.... no, not now!!!" Ping said as he began to shake all of a sudden.
"It's wearing off..... The Trigger he used, he's run out of time!" I thought as Ping's legs suddenly gave out on him. He collapsed down to the ground and let me go, but Ping was so close to the window that he slipped out and now hung by the edge from his hands.
"Sophie, get over here and help me get him up!" I shouted as I crouched down at the edge and grabbed Ping's right wrist with my hands and tried to pull him back inside the building. Sophie came over as well and grabbed his other wrist.
"No, let me go! I will not be saved by some shitty heroes!" Ping complained as he tried his hardest to struggle and keep us from lifting him up.
"Just shut up and let us pull you inside! Do you want to die!?" I questioned him but he was just refusing to let us bring him in. He then looked to his right and let out a quick chuckle before looking back up to us.
"No, I don't. And i'm not going to. Now see ya!" Ping said as he slipped out of his sweatshirt and out of our grip. He began to fall from the building as we only watched in shock. But a familiar screeching sound filled the air as Poppy came swooping in to snatch Ping up in her talons. The two then flew far off into the distance until they were out of our sight.
"Damn it.... Jeez, I thought that owl bitch was dead after being crushed by that pillar...." I said as I was just exhausted from all the fighting. I collapsed onto my back as Sophie did the same. But, despite getting our asses kicked, we managed to make two villains run away from this war. And that hopefully means that there isn't many villains left standing now.
-POV: Ping-
"Damn it, Poppy! Where the hell are we going!? Take us back over there so we can both kill those brats!!" I demanded as we nearly dropped from the sky for a moment. I looked all around her and saw Poppy's wings were in real rough shape as they were bent in some spots.
"No fucking way. I already got my ass beat once, I ain't going back there to have it happen again." Poppy said as she was flying us back to the hideout.
"And that stopped the god damn bomb from going off too. Face it, the plan's ruined. No point in dragging this on. We're just gonna be overwhelmed..." Poppy said as I simply sighed and agreed with her.
"I can only imagine what the boss is doing right now...." I said as sounds of massive explosions reverberated through the whole area. They were coming from the building we just escaped from.
"Christ, maybe it really is a good thing we got out of there." I said as two objects suddenly burst out of the side of the building. One was light blue and the other was pitch black. And after focusing a bit, I got a better look at them.
"Holy shit!!! That's Cry and that pro, Wrath Queen!! They're still fighting!!!" I said in disbelief as I easily would've thought Cry would kill anyone who was unfortunate enough to face him. But that wasn't the case anymore.
The two hovered in the air above the streets, Cry's body looking like it was made of lightning and Queen's body resonating with a dark aura, her armor having turned from silver and red to pitch black in colour. The two were set to clash in what may be a battle that will destroy this whole city.
-And that marks the end of the chapter!! Only 2 villains now remain, but they're the deadliest of the whole Squad! The heroes who are still left standing have to pull out everything to take down Cry and Markus! But, before we get to them, I have a question for you all. So, as some of you may know, we'll be doing a Heroes Rising arc after this current arc which'll focus on Class B and Cry as the main stars, not Class A. But, we may try and do something new. So, would you prefer to see Class B and Cry on their own separate island facing new villains? Or would you rather see them contend with Nine, Slice, Chimera, and Mummy on the normal set of Nabu island? The most votes will win! Either way it's gonna be awesome! See ya in the next chapter!
