Three quarter final matches are now set with Harper advancing to having the unenviable task of taking on Cry. She's gotta step up everything if she wants a chance to beat him, and that's including Jiro telling her his weakness. But I have something awesome planned for our main girl with her strategy of sleeping between matches. Her next dream will be amazing. But, we've still got 2 matches left before we get to the quarters. And this next match will finally feature a class 2 student. Colson(Quirk: Pain Reflector) does have one of the toughest opponents though. But, this was one of the matches that was determined by a coin toss, so you never know. Colson could somehow find a way to take down the mighty Bakugo. Now, let's get right back into the action! Enjoy!

-POV: Colson-

"Now that was a match!!" I shouted with excitement as the 6th match of the first round came to an end. Harper from Class 1 took the win over one of her temporary student teachers, Jiro. And next up, it's my turn. But, I also had one hell of a tough opponent. One of U.A's top students and last year sports festival semi-finalist, Bakugo.

"I don't have the knockout power to beat him, and with his quirk, he's definitely faster than me. But, I absolutely have the durability over him, so if I can outlast him, I should take the win." I said to myself as I took a couple of deep breaths and did some stretches. I wanted to be as prepared as possible because i'd need to give everything I have to surpass Bakugo.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we're quickly rounding out our top 8 with only two more matches to go!! And i'd like to say I know who'll win this next match, but with how the prior matches have gone, I wouldn't be surprised if another upset occurred!!!" Present Mic announced. 

"Indeed, we have fan favourite, Bakugo taking on first year newcomer, Colson from P.H. This is certain to be an interesting encounter as Colson has a very different style of quirk." All Might spoke as the P.A system came on. 

"Competitor Colson, please make your way to your entry gate. Your match will begin shortly." The voice said as it then cut out. 

"Looks like it's showtime!" I said as I stopped stretching and left my waiting room. I had only one strategy for this match, and it was super risky. So, I was praying that it paid off in my favour. 

"So tell me, gentlemen, out of the 6 who have advanced to the quarter finals so far, who's looked the most impressive in your eyes?" All Might asked his co-hosts. 

"All three top students from the international schools won their matches with relative ease, so they're my choice...." Eraser Head said as he looked as droopy as ever. 

"Well that's the obvious choice, but we can forget that the other three combatants are all from P.H academy. Phobos, Harper, and Josh all had impressive wins over U.A second years, some of them favourites to win this whole thing. I tell ya, these first years are something to behold! One of them may just come out on top of the whole competition!" Present Mic announced as I arrived at my gate. 

"I'm with you there too, Mic! But let's get back to what we're here for! The fights!! So let's introduce our next two competitors!" All Might shouted as the crowd got all hyped up once again. 

"First up, he made it to the top 4 of last years U.A sports festival, but this year he's looking to go all the way to the top!! The hero in training who won't be stopped by anything, he's looking to blast through any and all obstacles that get in his way!! Put your hands together for Katsuki Bakugo!!!" Present Mic shouted as my opponent made his way into the arena. He had one fierce expression on his face, like he wanted to murder someone. He didn't bother to wave to the crowd or anything, he was just focused on the match. 

"And now his opponent!! Hailing from your very own Persevering Heights academy, this student is looking to outlast everyone he comes across!!! With a quirk that makes him want to take damage, you'd think this kid is really crazy! But crazy just might get him the win here today!! Introducing, Colson Marsh!!!" All Might announced as I now walked through my gate and into the arena. I waved to the crowd as everyone cheered for me. This feeling was amazing, and I hoped this wouldn't be the last time in the tournament they did this for me. I then got up onto the battlefield and took my position, staring my opponent down. 

"I've heard a lot about you, Bakugo. Let's have a fun and fair match, okay?" I said to him as anger grew over him. 

"I'm gonna murder you, pipsqueak." He said as he spread out both of his arms, creating small sparks in his palms. 

"No, I think you're gonna murder yourself." I replied to him as a countdown appeared on the jumbo TV screen. 

"Let's get this party started!!! 3..... 2.... 1.......... BEGIN!!!!!!" Present Mic screamed through his microphone as Bakugo placed his arms behind him. 

"Launch!!" He shouted as he created two large explosions from his hands, sending him flying right towards me. 

"That's it, come as close as you'd like!!" I thought to myself as I spread my legs a bit and planted them as much as I could. 

"DIE!!!" Bakugo roared as he came right up to me, thrusted one of his hands right into my face and then unleashed a monster explosion. But in the middle of it all, I reached up and grabbed the wrist of the hand that was attacking me to keep me from being blown away. 

"And Bakugo lands a point-blank blast right into the face of Colson!! Is it over already!?" All Might questioned as Bakugo began screaming at the top of his lungs. The smoke around us cleared and I let go of Bakugo. My face was bleeding thanks to the explosion with my forehead and nose partially ripped open. But I felt no pain at all. In fact, Bakugo was the only one feeling any pain now. My pain. 

"Hurts, doesn't it? How does it feel to have one of your own explosions turned against you? Your face must be burning right now." I said to him as he grunted in pain. 

"What the hell did you do? What kind of quirk is this?" He asked me as he gritted his teeth and tried his hardest to withstand all the feelings I passed onto him. 

"My quirk is called "Pain Reflector." Anything that would normally give me pain, whether it be living or not, will have all the pain I would've received turn back onto them. But, i'll be nice and say I still take damage from the attacks. But seeing as all pain is turned back on its user, that means that I don't feel any kind of pain at all. Your explosion felt like a light breeze to me." I said as he clenched his fists tightly. 

"So what you're saying is no matter what I do to you, i'm the one who'll receive the pain of my explosions, is that it?" Bakugo asked me as I gave him a nod. 

"Exactly. So hit me with your best shot, Mr. Boom. I'm waiting." I said to him as he placed his right hand out flat facing me. He then made a circle with his fingers on his left hand and put it in front of his right palm. 

"Let's see if I can't knock you out with one of these!! AP Shot!!" Bakugo shouted as he fired a more condensed explosion, almost like heat wave which struck me in my chest. It sent me sliding backwards on my feet and singed a hole through my training jacket and charred my skin a bit. But it felt like a tickle to me. 

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Bakugo screamed as he fell down onto his back and held his chest. It probably felt like a heavyweight boxer just punched him right in the gut. 

"Just give up, kiddo. You're only hurting yourself here and you know it. All these explosions must be doing terrible things to your body." I said to him as he slowly got back up to his feet. 

"I'm done when I say i'm done. And I never quit. I'm the one who's gonna be the number one hero!!!" Bakugo shouted as he held his right arm behind him then fired another explosion from his palm. He launched himself towards me while also spinning. And, when he was close enough, he held his right arm out and delivered a huge punch to my left cheek, making me fall over as he also did the same. 

"That was a nice pat on my face you did. How'd that feel on you?" I asked him as I quickly got back up. Bakugo was holding his cheek tightly, and a big dark bruise was forming on his own cheek. 

"I'm not done...... I can take all the pain in the world.... I won't stop..... until you're down..... you little shit...." Bakugo said as he began to get back up. But I figured he was on his last legs by now so I began to approach him, cracking my knuckles in the process. 

"Let's see how well you can take a hit from me now!!" I shouted as I reeled back my right arm to attack him. But, as I threw my punch for his face, he used an explosion from his left palm to make himself slide away, making me punch the battlefield floor. The pain I received from the impact caused the floor to crack a bit, but I still felt absolutely nothing. 

"Where ya going? We're not done here! We've got a fight to finish!!" I said as I confidently walked over to where Bakugo sat. He tried to get up to his feet but midway of doing it, he collapsed to one knee, breathing heavily and looking like he was going to pass out. 

"He's done already. This fight's over." I thought as I reeled back my left arm this time, readying myself to deliver the finishing blow.

"It's all over!! You lose, Bakugo!!!" I roared with pride as he suddenly reached up with his right hand and caught my fist, stopping all of my momentum instantly. 

"Gotcha...." He said as he then held his left arm out and began firing a multitude of explosions away from us. He began spinning us both with him taking me as he kept a firm grip on my fist. 

"What was that about me giving up!? What was that about me losing!? I think you've got it all wrong kid!! I don't lose!!! This whole time I was playing you, purposely taking shots at you to make you think i'd grown weak, making you lower your guard!!! And because of it all, you're the one whose lost!!!" Bakugo howled as he spun me faster and faster. 

"DIE!!!! Ultimate Move: Ex-Catapult!!!" He roared as he then let go of me, launching me like a rocket across the battlefield, out of its boundaries and into the arena wall all the way on the other side. I didn't feel it at all but the wall crater moments after I struck it. But I fell out of it and dropped to my knees. I couldn't believe it. He literally played me for a fool. 

"I lost....." I said as Bakugo stood tall on the battlefield, raising one fist up in victory as the crowd cheered his name. 

"He's done it!! Bakugo withstood his own quirk being used against him and advances to the quarter finals!!" Present Mic announced as Bakugo made his way off the battlefield and over to the gate closest to me. 

"Next time, don't be so cocky. If you'd been more careful, you might've been able to make me pass out by hitting you a few more times." Bakugo said to me as he left through his gate. 

"I'd say that match was an absolute blast, right guys!?" All Might asked his co-hosts. 

"Don't. Just.... don't, Might. Anyways, with match 7 now over, we have only one more to go before the top 8 clash! And this next match is sure to be a dead even heat with two completely redundant quirks!!" Present Mic announced as I got back up to my feet and went to leave the arena in shame. But I stopped as I looked up to the jumbo screen to see the final two competitors in the last match. 

"Will it be U.A's own, Eijiro Kirishima with his sturdy Hardening quirk!? Or will it be P.H's own, Amelia Ramsays with her rock solid Diamond quirk!? It's going to be a true 50/50 match up that no one will wanna miss!!!"

Okay, this marks the end of the chapter but there's one thing I've gotta do first. And I feel so bad for not doing this earlier, but I guess final exams can make you forgetful since you're not as focused on these sort of things. Everyone reading list, I am not the only person working on this story. In fact, there's three of us, possibly even a fourth now, and we've all worked hard to make this story as entertaining as possible. Between new characters and their quirks, to artwork, to arcs and story ideas, we've come up with it all and we're nowhere near finished.
