Bet none of you were expecting that, huh!? Gotta love a good cliffhanger, right!? What will it lead to? How are the heroes in training gonna respond? You'll find out soon. And thank you to all the people who made Holly, Stacy, Asami, and one of the vigilantes, Pein, come to life. So thank you Goldsplash, Anime_Fangirl-4lyf, and sh8tyy for your contributions! Now, let's pick up from where we left off. Things are about to get real intense for everyone, and I don't just mean the heroes and the vigilantes. Enjoy!
-POV: Kira-
I'd used my invisibility from my quirk to follow the two vigilantes, hoping to go unnoticed. But after we got onto a rooftop a couple blocks from where we first met them, they both stopped and the one called Pein turned and looked at me, even though I was invisible. I stopped too so they wouldn't notice me by hearing my footsteps, but Pein seemed to know that I was actually here.
"We've got a tailer. Deal with her." Twilight said to her partner as Pein first raised up his left hand, putting it near her head, then raised up his right hand and pointed it at me. A faint red aura began to glow around his head and soon, I could feel an immense pain surging through my brain. It was way more severe than any headache or migraine i'd ever had before.
"Kira, get back here, this instant! That is an order!" Cry shouted to me through my earpiece as I dropped to my knees. I could no longer focus enough to use my quirk to my invisibility faded away.
"I'm in.... so much pain.... My head.... it hurts so much.... I can't..... I can't....." I said in absolute pain as I collapsed down to my left side. The two vigilantes walked over to me and Twilight kneeled down and took my earpiece away from me.
"She's our now." She said as she then turned it off. I then blacked out from all the pain and what happened after, I have no idea.
When I finally came to, I couldn't see a thing. Everything was just black. And I quickly realized I was immobile and I couldn't speak either. I struggled for a few seconds before I started to hear footsteps getting closer to me.
"Looks like she's awake." I heard a man's voice say as a blindfold was taken off my face. I saw I was in a semi-fancy apartment, nice looking furniture and decorations all around. And, I quickly found out why I couldn't move. I'd been taped to a chair, my torso and arms pinned to the back and arms, while each of my legs were pinned to the legs of the chair itself. And a thick amount of tape had been plastered to my mouth, ensuring I couldn't cry out for help. I tried to use my quirk to simply slip out of it all, but for some strange reason, it wasn't activating.
"If you're trying to use your quirk, we made it so you can't. That's because of this." Twilight said as she came up to me and showed me a reflection using a small mirror she had. I could see attached to my neck was this small patch thing.
"As long as someone wears one of these, their quirks shut down entirely. Now then, i'm going to remove your gag. Know that it's pointless to scream. These walls are soundproof and the windows are tinted, so no one can see you." Twilight said as she slowly and painfully ripped off the tape from my mouth.
"Now, tell us why you were following us?" Pein asked me as he came up to me as well.
"How were you able to see through my invisibility?" I asked as he just sighed.
"Don't ask a question with a question. We don't wanna hurt you, kid. But we will if we have to. And don't expect your friends to find you anytime soon. We disabled the communications and tracking device in that earpiece you were wearing. No one knows you're here but us." Twilight said as I realized they'd literally shut out any way of me being saved.
"I was following you because you interfered with me and my classmates internship. We just caught those two crooks, and then you two showed up and took one of them away from us. I figured if we apprehended you, we'd be able to get some answers out as to why you did all that, and maybe even why you decided to become vigilantes in the first place rather than actual heroes." I explained to them as they pulled up some chairs to sit down in front of me.
"And you followed us to ensure we wouldn't get away, right?" Pein asked as I gave them a nod.
"I thought it was the best course of action to follow you and keep my friends informed. But somehow, you were able to see me. How?" I asked them as Twilight removed her visor from her face. She had the brightest blue eyes which complimented her long brown hair.
"Infrared vision built into this. Even if you're invisible, it can still pick you up." Twilight explained as Pein looked at her with surprise.
"We're really doing this? Taking them off? Alright, you got it, boss." He said as he removed his mask. I got a better look at him now, seeing that he had blue tips on the ends of his dark gray hair, as well as silver coloured eyes.
"It's fine. I think we can convince her not to talk. She'll understand what'll happen if she does." Twilight said as I could feel my heart racing even more now.
"Please, violence isn't necessary here. I promise, I won't say a word to anyone." I said to them as they looked at each other for a quick second.
"We'll see after some time, Kira. We shall see." Twilight said to me as shock came over me.
"How do you know my name?" I asked them as Pein pulled out his phone.
"That was me. I'm kind of a master hacker. Pulled up your records to see who we were dealing with." He said as he showed me the screen of his phone, displaying a lot of my information.
"Kira Summers, 16 years old. First year at Persevering Heights academy, class 2, homeroom teacher is the Vampire Hero: Drac. You finished in 24th place during the second stage of the recent International Sports Festival and your quirk is invisibility and partial intangibility. You live at 24 Northcrest Lane with your parents and little brother. And, you were one of the six students who encountered a trio of villains in a nearby national park a few weeks ago." Pein said as all the info was there. He had my number and everything.
"Okay..... so, you know things about me. So please, tell me something about you. Why did you try and take away that crook from before?" I asked them.
"We're currently working a case. Weapons and drugs dealings have spiked in the city over the last 2 months. We've been keeping an eye on those criminals and discovered they were using experimental new weapons. They didn't pull them on you, but they had them ready in the trunk of their car. You're lucky your friend with the explosive powder quirk didn't set them off." Twilight explained to me.
"Alright, that explains that. What did you do to cause all that pain in my head before you knocked me out?" I asked.
"That would be my quirk. It's called "Phantom Pain." I can take all of the painful memories within someones mind and then set all that pain on someone else. So, I took Twilight's bad memories and cast them onto you." Pein explained to me.
"Then I guess a lot has happened to you if all those memories was enough to render me unconscious." I said to Twilight as she nodded.
"Kidnapped a few years back, tortured, stuffed inside a crate where I developed claustrophobia.... and that's just scratching the surface." Twilight said as I lowered my head a bit.
"I'm..... i'm sorry to hear that. And I presume similar things happened to you?" I asked Pein as he nodded as well.
"My parents abandoned me when I was six years old. I had to live off my own skills and mind for years in this concrete jungle. And, about 5 years ago, I met Twilight. We shared the same pain. Fear. Fear of being alone, the fear everyone seeing us but no one helping us." Pein explained to me with a bit of venom in his voice.
"And that's what made you two become vigilantes, isn't it? If heroes wouldn't help, then you took it upon yourselves to do the job instead." I said as they both nodded.
"And sometimes you have to break a few laws to save lives or stop some criminals. We do what we have to do. And, it can show people that even those who are quirkless, just like myself, can do the same work that heroes do every day." Twilight told me as they came as a surprise as well.
"You're quirkless? And yet you've done all this?" I said to her.
"I have help from Pein and my gadgets. Plus, I've picked up some martial arts in my free time. I know how to handle myself and all those idiots who think they can take us." She explained to me as she reached over to a counter top near where she sat. She picked up a coffee mug and took a sip from it.
"Alright, i'm following along. But there's still one thing I wanna know. Why did you kidnap me? Why didn't you just leave me there on that rooftop?" I asked them as they both let out some sighs.
"I figured we'd get to this part soon." Twilight said as she then stood up, placed her coffee mug back down on the counter and walked to a shelf in the room to grab something.
"When we saw you had the power of invisibility, we figured we could use you. You have much greater stealth than either of us, and it would be great to have your support in our next stakeout mission tonight." Pein explained as Twilight began to walk back over.
"No thanks. Why should I potentially risk my life for the people who kidnapped me?" I said as Twilight sat down and revealed a gun in her right hand. It wasn't her futuristic looking ones she had before. This was a modern and very real firearm, and she aimed it right at me.
"Because if you don't, then you won't see your family, friends, or anyone ever again." Twilight said intimidatingly as she cocked the gun. An overwhelming amount of fear grew over me, sweat dripping down my face as I couldn't take my eyes off the weapon.
"What do you need me to do if I do help you?" I asked them.
"We've learned that there's going to be a gathering tonight in a hidden location, about 5 miles outside the city. We're not sure who's going to be there, but what we do know is that it'll involve some of those weapons and drugs we mentioned. We would like you to infiltrate this gathering with your invisibility and attach tracking devices to the drugs and the weapons. If they're shipped out again, we'll be able to see everywhere they go. As for us, we'll be there too, watching from a distance and picking off anyone who may get in our way. Maybe even capture someone for information. We'll have eyes on you and these criminals at all times, so we can inform you if things go South." Pein explained to me.
"And why don't you just let the heroes know about this? Wouldn't it be better to let them handle this sort of thing?" I asked them as they shook their heads.
"They're too slow and they have all their laws they have to follow. And besides, if they found out we were the ones who gave them this info, they'd be on our backs too. Where as we can do this stealthy and quietly without anyone knowing we're there." Twilight explained as she reached into a pouch on her utility belt and pulled out my earpiece.
"Right now, this is disabled. Can't be used to communicate and its tracking device is shut off. I'm going to reactivate its communications but leave the tracking device turned off. This will allow your friends to know you're unharmed and alive. You will remain calm. If you start to panic, or even think about trying to give away anything about this location, I will shoot you. Understood?" Twilight explained to me, not taking the gun away for even a second.
"And what exactly is the point of this?" I asked them.
"So that we have leverage over them, so they won't come looking for you. They'll know you're safe and that can give them a bit of ease. Remember, we're not bad people, unless if we have to be." Twilight said as she held the earpiece close to me and turned it on. There was a bit of static but it eventually cleared up and I spoke.
"H-Hello?" I said into it.
"Kira!? Kira, is that you!? Oh thank christ, you're alright! Where are you right now!?" I heard Cry say to me as I then looked to Twilight holding her gun. I knew I couldn't answer him.
"I.... I can't tell you. I'm sorry." I told him.
"Kira, we're all here too. Why can't you tell us? What's wrong?" I heard Asami ask me.
"I can't tell you that either. All I can say is that is that i'm not hurt." I explained to them as Twilight pulled the earpiece back over to her.
"We have her with us. I disabled the tracking device so you won't find her. We can ensure she will be safely returned to you but we need to..... "borrow" Kira for something first." Twilight explained to them.
"You listen to me now, you bitch. I do not care what it takes. I will find you. I will take back my student. And I will ensure you two rot in the dirtiest cell of a maximum security prison. You pissed off the wrong hero." Cry said as menacingly as he possibly could to them.
"No, you won't do any of those things. Not while we have Kira. Now, tell me, boy. Can we use her?" Pein said.
"Absolutely not. Release her right now and turn yourselves in. I might go easy on you if you do." Cry replied as Twilight moved her gun closer to me.
"Cry, please, she has a gun!" I shouted into the earpiece as Twilight pressed the end of the gun against my head.
"I told you to remain calm." She said to me.
"Kira, listen to me, everything's gonna be alright. We'll find you and save you from these vigilantes." Cry said to me.
"What's it gonna be, boy? I need an answer. Otherwise i'm sending your student back to you in a body bag." Twilight said as she pressed the gun even harder onto my head. I was starting to cry because I was so afraid of being killed.
"PLEASE, JUST STOP THIS!! FINE, YOU CAN USE HER!!! JUST PLEASE, DON'T KILL HER!!!" Cry begged to Twilight as she put her finger on the trigger of the gun.
"Good." She said as she pulled the trigger. I closed my eyes tight as the sound of gunfire filled the entire room, going through the earpiece so that everyone could hear what had just happened.
But I was still alive. I slowly opened up eyes, the gun was still pressed against my head, but nothing happened. She didn't shoot me. It was a blank.
"We'll return her to you safely when we're finished. Until then, don't try and find us." Twilight said as she shut off the earpiece and stashed it back into her utility belt.
"You alright?" Pein asked me as I shook my head. I was crying so much out of fear that I couldn't form any words.
"Would you feel better if we cut you out of the chair?" Twilight asked as she finally pulled the empty gun away from my head. I gave her a shaky nod as she pulled out a knife from her utility belt. She cut all the tape off of me, allowing me to get out of this god damn chair. I then went to remove the patch on my neck that was stopping me from using my quirk.
"Hold it." Pein said to me as I stopped in my tracks.
"Don't take that off. We don't want you running on us. Unless you want us to find and hurt your family, you will leave that on and be a good girl until we can say you can remove it. Got it?" Twilight said as I slowly took my hand away from my neck.
"That's better. Now, we're heading out around midnight. And until then, you are not to touch anything without our permission. The doors and windows are all locked, and I have the only key. Don't even think you can get it away from me." Twilight told me.
"Crystal clear......" I said quietly as I was just so afraid of them.
"Go to the table over there. We're about to have lunch. I'll whip something up for you." Pein said as I did as told and walked over to their dinner table. Twilight had an coffee maker on their kitchen counter and she made me a cup to try and calm me down.
"Thank you....." She said as she gave it to me. She and Pein then sat down on the other side of table and seemed to just watch me.
"So.... what exactly do you two do when you're not being vigilantes?" I asked them as I took a sip of my coffee.
"Well.... the two of us are..... recently engaged." Pein said as I nearly choked on my drink.
"Yeah, I don't think she really cares, dear." Twilight said to him as I shook my head.
"No, no, i'm glad to hear that, it's a great thing. The coffee's just hot it all." I said to them as I then looked around. There was a kitchen island a few feet away and on it were Twilight's futuristic looking guns.
"Did you make those?" I asked her as she nodded.
"Took me about a year, but yeah. Non-lethal pulse guns. Fires taser, knockout, smoke, and net bullets. Contrary to popular belief, we don't kill people at all. Never have, never will." Twilight explained to me which made me feel a bit better. I wish she told me before she put a gun to my head though.
"Why'd you should Cry?" I asked them.
"Because we saw him on TV, during the festival. We know what that boy is capable of. He's dangerous to us, so, we had to slow him down so we could get away. Someone like that would make things difficult for us to work." Pein explained as he got up and took some green juice out of their fridge.
"I think you've asked enough questions, Kira. You don't want to discover things you don't want to know. I would stop while you're ahead." Twilight said to me as I shut up and continued to drink my coffee.
The next few hours were absolutely terrifying for me as I was basically prisoner to these two. They didn't let me out of their sight. The entire time, I just sat around as I watched the two of them prepare for this stakeout tonight. Pein practiced some fighting moves while Twilight reloaded and cleaned up her weapons and other gadgets. And eventually, it was time to head out.
"11PM. Let's get going. You too." Twilight said as she suited up, putting on her belt, her guns, and her special visor. She then grabbed some car keys as we left their apartment. They blindfolded me again so I couldn't figure out where we were, and I was lead all the way down this building and into their car. The drive wasn't very long. About 33 minutes actually. I counted because it's all I could do during this.
"Alright, we're here. You can take that off now." Pein said to me as I removed my blindfold. We were parked in some heavy brush, and just ahead was a clearing with a big warehouse building in the center of it.
"What is this place?" I asked them.
"Until a few decades ago, this place was a steel plant. But with technology evolving, people didn't have any use for it anymore. So it was abandoned. And now it's just home to insects, wild animals, and the occasional homeless person or villain." Twilight explained as we all got out of the car. The sound of crickets and an owl hooing filled the air, but besides that, everything was dead silent.
"Time: 11:35PM. Location is just outside of Philadelphia." Twilight said into what looked like a recording device.
"Anyone around?" Pein asked her as she hit a button on the side of her visor.
"Image enhance...... looks like there's.... about 9 heat signatures inside. I see a ledge over on the far side. If we can climb up we can see what's going on inside." Twilight said as we started to move in on the warehouse. There was no one outside at all so it was easy to approach. We found a ladder on the side of the huge concrete building and climbed up it to this ledge.
"These windows are so dirty. It's hard to see anything." Pein said as we moved along the ledge until we found some much clearer windows. We could finally see what was going on inside the warehouse and we could see the 9 people Twilight identified. We saw two large crates in the middle of the floor too, both opened. One containing a bunch of weapons inside while the other had some small looking tubes. I presumed those were these drugs I was told about.
"Hey..... hold on a second...." I said as I tried to focus on a few specific people. And after a few seconds, I realized I knew exactly who three of the people inside were. The ones who attacked us in the forest. The Injustice Squad. Markus, Daina, and Shield.
"I know these people..... please, listen to me, they're seriously bad news. You don't want to mess with them, especially their leader, Markus." I whispered to the vigilantes.
"Relax, kid. We've dealt with more people than this before. And besides, they don't even know we're here, and they won't. We're just here to observe and mark. Now, take these." Twilight said as she opened up one of her pouches and gave me two disc-like objects.
"These are tracking devices. They stick on contact with any flat surface, and then instantly transmit. All you have to do is get in there, place one on each of those crates, then get out." Pein explained as the owl around began to hoo even louder.
"Now, i'm going to remove the patch off your neck. But if you try and run, the villains in there will be the least of your worries." Twilight said as she grabbed the patch and pulled it off me.
"Now get going. We'll keep watch from here and pull you out if something happens." Pein said as I took the tracking devices and went back over to the ladder. I climbed down, breathing very heavily since this was so nerve racking. This was the Injustice Squad, people I know who will kill me if they find out i'm here. But if I tried to escape, Twilight and Pein would probably put me in a hospital. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"Guess I really don't have a choice in this..... Alright..... here goes.... please don't die, please don't die." I quietly said to myself as I activated my quirk, going invisible and walking through the wall in front of me. I came out the other side and I was in. The only problem was that the 9 villains were standing like 10ft away from the crates, so I had to move slow so they didn't hear me.
"Ladies, gentlemen, it is truly and honor to meet you all here tonight. As the newest members of the Injustice Squad, we welcome you into our family." Markus spoke to the 6 new villains as I approached them.
"So, you're the boss 'round here, eh? I heard you got your ass beat by some hero a couple weeks ago. Is that true?" One of the villains asked as Markus let out a sigh.
"Seems you've got good ears. It's true, I lost a fight to a pro. But what I did to her in return..... I and the rest of you would think she's dead now." Markus explained to them as Daina stepped forward, a laptop in her hands.
"I've got all your info listed here, but I think it's better we just ask you personally. So please, tell us about yourselves and why you want to join us. We'll start with you." Daina said, pointing to the closest villain to her left.
This villain was a tall man, with an old dark brown cowboy looking coat and a red shirt underneath. He had black pants and cowboy boots and a bunch of scars all over his arms and face.
"I've had a couple names. People simply call me "Killer" now. My quirk is called "Stalker." Anyone in my sight, I can nullify their sense of hearing and smell, and partially lessen their sight. I'm just a guy who enjoy killin' people. It's sport to me. Figured this gig would help me kill a bunch more." The man said as they moved onto the next one.
This man was in a wheelchair, wearing a dark green sweater, messy orange hair, brown jeans, and several knives strapped to his legs.
"The name's "Ping." My quirk is "Radar." By overloading most of my senses, I can feel vibrations in the air and ground over 100 meters away. Ain't no one's sneakin' up on me. I've been pushed out of society for a while now. Doctors stopped giving me treatments, mother disowned me. I got nowhere else to go. And, I don't really care what it is, i'd just like to do something with my life." The man in the wheelchair said as I froze for a moment.
"He can feel vibrations from that far away? Does he already know i'm here?" I thought as I was starting to pass by the villains, nearing the crate of weapons first.
The next villain was a women, dark skin with big bushy dark brown hair. She wore this big white fur coat, with nothing but a black bikini top and shorts underneath, as well as high heels.
"Sup. I'm Molly. My quirk is "Fluff." From my body, I can make a fluffy substance which is also very sticky. Perfect for trapping and suffocating victims. I don't know, one day I was just tired of all these wrong things happening to me. Blew up my high school teacher by filling him with fluff. Man, you should've seen it." The girl explained.
After her was a more fancily dressed man. He had on a bit of a battered tuxedo, with the black pants and dress shoes to match. He had styled dark brown hair and a bushy mustache.
"Greetings. Gregory is the name. My quirk is "Blood Manipulation." Any person of my choosing, I can take control of their blood flow, thereby taking control of them like my own personal puppet. I was formerly a surgeon. A remarkable one at that. But that I lost everything. My company thought my experiments were to extreme. I did end the lives of many in my tests, but it was all for my research. But it's all gone now. I have nowhere else to go. No family, no friends, nothing at all. So, that is why I am here. To get it all back." He explained as he ended it with a bow to Markus. At this point, I had made it to the crate of weapons. I just stuck it with one of the tracking devices and I was making my way to the crate of drugs.
The next villain was also a man. He had on this leather jacket, with a black shirt underneath, plus dark blue ripped jeans and dark brown hiking boots, plus fingerless leather gloves. He was bald and he wore sunglasses over his forehead.
"You can call me Jake. Quirk is "Gunner." Any type of gun I've ever touched before, I can turn my hands into it. Only downside is that they still come with the normal ammo limit. Takes me ten whole minutes to reload one gun. But luckily I've touched a bunch of 'em so I can just swap in and out. And i'm just a guy who loves to shoot shit. Hell, I robbed a bank once and didn't even take no money. Just did it to shoot the people inside." He explained as I placed the second tracking device on the drug crate. I then started to slowly make my way out and back to Twilight and Pein.
The last villain was female. She had bright green skin, long white hair, and two ram horns coming out of her forehead. She had this big black trench coat on, as well as black ripped pants and black boots.
"Name's Jade. Despite these horns, they ain't a part of my quirk. My quirk is "Toxic Gas" and with it, I can spew a highly potent and venomous gas from my mouth. Anyone who inhales it will be paralyzed after about a minute. They can still breath but it makes them easy pickins' for me to slit their throats. I'm a victim of heavy racism. Grew up in a neighborhood where my complexion was seen as monstrous. And, I just grew tired of it all. Nobody in that neighborhood left no more to say things about me. I dealt with 'em all." She explained as Markus, Shield and Daina began to clap.
"All of your stories, each and every one, we understand them all. We feel the pain, the thrills, the losses you've all endured. We share this together. And all of you made a choice. To come here. And now, you're one of us. Together, we will bring this world to its knees. And once our final new member arrives, we can begin our next move." Markus said to the Squad's new recruits as I was about halfway between them and the closest wall outside.
However, as I crept to get away, a loud *SMASH* sound quickly filled the entire building. I stopped and turned my head to see the window that Pein and Twilight had been looking through was blown away. This humanoid bird person came flying in, both Twilight and Pein in their talons as they landed by the villains, keeping the two vigilantes pinned to the ground.
This new villain was much shorter than the rest, maybe not even 5 feet tall. It was a girl with an owls head, two large and dark brown feathered wings coming out of her back, with her legs being large talons, and a knife strapped to her right leg.
"Wait, an owl.... is this the owl we've been hearing since we got here?" I questioned as Pein tried to get up, but the owl girl dug one of her talons into his left shoulder. He let out a scream and then stopped for the moment.
"Sorry i'm late. Saw some people snooping around when I got here and figured i'd take care of 'em. Name's Poppy. Quirk is "Great Horned Owl" as you can probably guess, and i'm sure you can figure out what it does." The owl girl said to the villains as Twilight tried to pull out one of her guns, but when she tried to aim, Poppy smacked it out of her hand, making it slide away.
"My, my, what have we here? Some spies? Or are you looking to join us as well?" Markus said as he and the rest of the villains walked over. Markus crouched down in front of them and then pulled off Twilight's visor and Pein's mask.
"We would never join scum like you. But at the same time, we aren't heroes." Twilight said to him with anger in her voice.
"So, we've got a pair of vigilantes here. Probably the duo I've heard so much about recently. Now, what exactly were you planning on doing here?" Markus said as he grabbed the top of Pein's head and began to squeeze it tightly. Pein screamed even more and the sounds of bones breaking could soon be heard.
"It ain't just the duo here. I saw three people. One of 'em can go invisible and walk through walls." Poppy told Markus as he stood up and walked around.
"Invisible and walk through walls, eh? I do happen to remember a certain girl from a certain school that could do that. And if she's really trying to be a hero, then she wouldn't turn her back on people who're about to die. So tell me, Kira! What're you gonna do now!?" Markus shouted as I froze. They know i'm here now.
"Give me a sec.... i'll find her...." Ping said as I saw his eyes turn a blank white. His head began to shake for a few seconds before he stopped and then pointed directly at me.
"She's right over there. About 30ft away." Ping said as Gregory stepped forward.
"I do regret doing this to woman, but I must do what I must do. Now, come here." He said as he pointed at me with his entire hand. Now my body was actually frozen and I was sliding forward along my feet. My quirk deactivated and I soon became visible to everyone here.
"Kira, run away, now!" Twilight shouted to me as Poppy stomped on her back.
"I can't! This guy's got me trapped with his quirk! I can't move!" I told her as I was dragged right into the middle of everyone. Markus came up to me and began stroking my hair with a smile on his face.
"Long time no see. And this time, no pro hero is gonna come and save you. Put 'em on their knees." Markus said to his new crew as I was pulled over to Twilight and Pein. They were forced up onto their knees and I was forced down, Jade, Jake, and Poppy holding our hands behind our backs so we couldn't resist. And I couldn't use my quirk to escape because people can still touch me through my intangibility.
"Kira..... we're sorry we dragged you into this...." Twilight said to me as I looked over to her.
"You didn't know this would happen. It isn't your fault." I said very sadly as I knew this was it for all three of us.
"Those friends of yours you were with. Do you think they could've helped us get out of this?" Twilight asked as she gestured with her eyes for me to look down at her right hand. She opened it a bit and I saw my earpiece in it.
"She must've grabbed it when she pulled out her gun before!" I thought as she turned it back on, along with its tracking device.
"Now then, as a celebration for our great coming together, we shall end the lives of these three who have made our world weak!" Markus roared with excitement as Molly began to approach me, creating a bit of fluff on her left hand. Meanwhile, Jake who was holding Pein turned his right hand into the barrel of a pistol and held it to the back of Pein's Head. And Poppy brought her beak down and rested it at the back of Twilight's head.
"My, such pretty hair you've got, girly. Makes me a bit jealous. I hate people who look better than me." Molly said as she grabbed my cheeks with her right hand and forced my mouth open. She then began to bring her fluff closer, looking to shove it down my throat.
"NO!! STOP IT!!! PLEASE!!!" I cried as I tried to break free, but Jade had a firm grip on me.
"Whenever you're ready, you can off them." Markus said as Jake cocked his gun and Poppy raised up her beak to strike.
"Hold it!" Someone shouted as everyone halted what they were doing.
"*Sigh* What now?" Markus questioned as they all turned their heads to the right. I broke down in tears and grew a big smile when I saw Cry walk out of one of his portals.
"I've seen you before. The runner up in that Sports Festival. Am I correct?" Markus asked him.
"Yeah, that's right. And by the reports I've read, you're Markus Wheeler, so-called leader of the Injustice Squad. I have a major bone to pick with you, sir. And, I would heavily appreciate you returning my student and her associates to me. We don't have to do things the hard way here. We can all get off easy if you comply." Cry explained as Markus let out a few chuckles before shaking his head.
"No can do, kid. All of us here have been cast out of this world, and we'd like to take it back. Make it the way it once was. You can have them back when we're finished with them. When they're dead." Markus said as Cry then let out a sigh.
"So, are you implying you'd rather do this the hard way?" He asked Markus.
"Yes. Yes I am." Markus replied as Cry's veins began to glow purple.
"Good. I was hoping that would be your answer. I need payback for what you did to my mom." Cry said as 4 more portals appeared around the entire squad. Coming out of each one was one of my classmates who was with me before. Amelia, Stacy, Asami, and Holly all appeared, ready to fight and looking incredibly pissed off.
"Before we begin, i'll inform you that the police have been called and are on their way here as we speak. If any of you want to run, now is your one and only chance." Cry explained to the Injustice Squad as Markus just laughed.
"So what if they are? You and your little band of school girls won't last long against us. And might I remind you that we have some hostages." Markus explained as Cry now began to laugh.
"Take another look." He said, pointing to me as Markus looked back over. I turned my head too and saw three small portals had appeared behind the heads of Poppy, Jade, and Jake, fire coming out of them and ready to burn.
"If you let the hostages go, then I will gladly let your subordinates go." Cry explained as Markus clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. He then snapped his fingers and the three of us were released. We ran over to Cry as he closed the portals behind the villains head.
"I'm so glad you all are here." I said as I hugged Cry.
"I'm just happy to see you're alive and unharmed." Cry said as Twilight and Pein now approached, the two of them looking a bit ashamed.
"I'll deal with you two later. Right now, we have other problems. We have to stop these villains right here and now, and you two are going to help us. If you do, I might forget you were even here." Cry told them as they both said nothing and nodded in agreement.
"Alright! Girls, I authorize the use of your quirks to attack and defend yourselves! Use extreme caution! These are real villains you're dealing with. They will not hesitate to kill you if you give them the chance! Now...." Cry said as all of us, heroes, vigilantes, and villains prepared for an all-out brawl.
"TAKE 'EM DOWN!!!"
