And the Cry battle in underway. Part 1 has come to a close and already Wrath Queen's side has taken quite a loss. Sergei is out for good and who's gonna be next? Well it'll be a few chapters until we get back to them. For now, we're sticking to the main squad of heroes in the building. And this time we get to see the crazy shield bro of the Injustice Squad take on the dynamic heat duo of P.H. This one's gonna be real interesting for sure. Enjoy!

-POV: Steve-

"Hahahahahahaha!!!! I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!! I can't wait to flatten you two into little itty-bitty pancakes!!! Oh, it's gonna sound so sweet when all your bones break!!" Shield told us while laughing like a maniac.

"Pfft! Like hell that's gonna happen, ya psycho! We ain't letting you do nothing! The two of us are gonna kick and burn your ass into oblivion." Stacy said as she cracked her knuckles very loudly with a very intense smile on her face. 

"Keep your composure, Stacy. Yeah, this guy's got a quirk for a good defense, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have good offense. Harper told me he nearly crushed her and Anne to death inside one of his attacks, and I'll bet he'll try the same thing on us right now." I said to her as Shield started nodding wildly. 

"Yep, yep, yep!! I'll crush you two until there's nothing left!!" He roared with pride as Stacy reached into her right pocket and pulled out one of her gunpowder capsules. 

"I wish I was wearing my hero costume right now since it would carry more of these, but since i'm not i'm very limited to ammunition. I only have about 8 of these things on me." Stacy said to me as I gave her a nod. 

"Then we'll just have to make sure each of them counts in the long run." I said as I began to release some of the heat that I had stored in my body. Both my hands ignited into bright orange flames as I smashed my knuckles together. 

"Time to show this guy just how much firepower we both got!" I shouted as I thrusted my hands forward and unleashed two small bursts of flames at Shield. 

"Weak!!" Shield shouted as he raised his right hand up and created a barrier right in front of him. My flames struck it but didn't go through at all meaning this guy's quirk was gonna be one major pain.

"Maybe this'll break through!!" Stacy shouted as she threw the capsule in her hand at the barrier. And right as it struck it, Stacy used her superheated breath and ignited the gunpowder inside, erupting the capsule into an explosion that engulfed the barrier and Shield. 

"Yeah!? How'd that feel, ya loser!?" Stacy shouted as we started to hear Shield laughing. 

"Felt pretty good considering you did nothing to me!! I'd say you're the loser here, chicky!!" Shield shouted as he thrusted his hand forward, making his barrier slide across the ground straight for us.

"Get outta the way! Move!" I shouted as me and Stacy dove apart and watched as the barrier went right past us, crashing right through a wall. 

"How'd you like that, kiddos? My barriers are practically impenetrable, so you two can do a single god damn thing to me. Or.. I guess there is one thing you can do to me. And that's fill me with joy as I kill you!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Shield laughed as he made three perfectly square ad large barriers appear in front of him at once.

"Oh this can't be good..." I said as me and Stacy rose back up to our feet as Shield sent all the barriers at us, creating this huge wall to crush us with.

"Steve, use your flames again! Push them back!!" Stacy shouted as I did as told without hesitation. I unleashed two full streams of flames from my hands and used them to try and push back against the barriers. I managed to slow them down but they weren't stopping, so I bought us a bit more time but not much to try and escape. 

"Stacy, now would be a good time to find a way out of this!!" I shouted to her as I could feel my heat reserves inside my body dropping at a quick rate. I had already gone down to 80%. 

"Workin' on it! Just give me a minute!" She replied as I was taking steps back to try and keep my distance from the barriers. 

"Tickity tock, tickity tock. You're only delaying the inevitable! Soon you're gonna go *SQUISH!*" Shield giggled with glee as Stacy tried to open a door, but it was locked. And it was the only one around us, so unless we wanted to jump out a window, we had no way of getting out of this room.

"Stacy, anytime now!!" I shouted as i'd dropped to about 65% heat storage now.

"Just gimme a freakin' second!" She shouted as I looked back and saw her place one of her capsules on the windowsill of the locked door before running back a bit. 

"Get ready to run!!" She shouted as she used her superheated breath to ignite and blow down the door, giving us our route to escape. 

"Come on!!" Stacy screamed to me as I stopped shooting my flames and made a mad dash for the door.

"Ain't gonna make it, kid! Nope, you're just gonna get squished by my quirk!!" Shield shouted at me as his barrier wall was closing in, and I was still a ways away from the door. 

"It's a waste but I've gotta do it!" I said as I pointed my arms behind me and fired off some burst from my hands, giving me that extra speed I needed to make it to the door before getting crushed by the barriers.

"Come on, let's move!" Stacy shouted as we took off running down a hallway until we found another open door. We came into a room with a large pool in it, maybe Olympic size.

"Seriously, what is this building? Why do they have this in here?" I thought as the door and wall behind us was blown down from one of Shield's barriers. We were lucky enough to be far enough from it though so none of the debris struck us. 

"Hold on, kiddos. I didn't say you could run from me, now did I?" Shield said as he came walking out of a cloud of dust. 

"Who says we were running? Maybe we were just leading you into here!" I said as I fired another small burst from my left hand and aimed it at the pool. The fire mixed with the water created a great amount of steam that quickly filled up the whole room, shrouding me and Stacy from Shield.

"A little game of hide and seek, eh? Alright, i'll bite! Let's have some fun!" Shield shouted as he made two more barriers and sent them flying through the steam. But he wasn't able to hit me or Stacy as we had spread out without him noticing. 

"Can't hit what you can't see, loser!" Stacy shouted from somewhere in all the steam. 

"It's the same for you, idiot! No point hiding if it'll get us nowhere! So just come on out already!" Shield roared with a bit of anger as I came to a window at the far side of the room. I used my elbow to smash it and make as much noise as possible to distract our enemy. 

"Dumb kid, thanks for telling me where you are!" Shield shouted as he sent a barrier flying towards me. I tried to dive out of the way but the floor was very wet and I slipped, falling face first onto the ground. But very lucky for me, the barrier was still high enough off the ground that it went over me and into the wall instead of crushing me. 

"Now let's see how you like it when you're the one who's hurt!" I heard Stacy shout as I started to hear something rolling across the ground. 

"What the hell's that noise?" I heard Shield questioned as suddenly, where he was standing there was a small explosion. It cleared a bit of the steam and I saw him flip across the room and land right into the pool. Stacy had hid herself behind him using the steam.

"Yeah!! Nice one!!" I cheered to her as I got back up onto my feet and ran over to her to give her a high five. 

"You little fucks!! That fuckin' hurt, you know!!" Shield shouted as he came up to the surface of the pool, his hoodie nearly burned off and a burn patch on his right hand. 

"Oh we know. And there's more where it came from, asshole." I said to him as his insane smile turned into pure rage in the matter of a second. He gritted his teeth as he raised both of his arms straight up.

"No more mister nice guy!!! Just die already!!" Shield roared in a fury as he suddenly shot his arms down. I looked up and saw a large barrier right above me and Stacy that started to crash down over us. 

"Get outta the way!!" Stacy screamed as she pushed me away and reached her arms up to stop the attack. But the barrier was so strong that she could barely push against it. It quickly brought her to her knees and the impact made several of her gunpowder capsules roll out of her pockets and into the pool. 

"Hold on, i'll help you!! Let her out of that, jackass!!" I shouted as I dove into the pool and rammed myself into Shield. We began to brawl as we went in and out of the water, punching, kicking and tearing at each others hair. 

"Heroes like you always have the same weaknesses! And the worst of all is you guys don't fight dirty!!" Shield shouted as he kneed me right in my crotch and forced me to let go of him. He then wrapped his hands around my neck and forced my head under the water, threatening to choke and drown me. 

"Flame quirk users like you struggle in the water!!! Ain't no way you're getting outta this one alive, chump!" Shield shouted to me as I tried to pry his hands off my neck. But he was physically stronger than me so I had no chance. And my attempts to help free Stacy from being crush had failed as well as I could see through the water she was still underneath it. 

"Don.... oun... me... out.... et!!" I shouted from under the water as Shield gave me a curious look. 

"What was that!? Say it again, hero boy! I wanna hear those oh so sweet final words of yours before I end your pathetic life!" He said with pride as my whole body, skin, hair and all ignited into fire. 

"Ah!!! Hot!! Fucking hot!!" Shield shouted as he let go of me so his hands didn't get burned. However, it was all for not for him as, from my body, I unleashed a huge wave of fire that created this intensely hot shockwave, sending Shield flying into a wall and evaporating all the water in the pool at once. 

"I said don't count me out yet.... asshole...." I said as I was now completely exhausted. I used up every bit of heat I had left stored in my body to create a super burst. And I was pretty sure it worked. Shield wasn't moving a singe inch now and when I looked over to Stacy, she wasn't being crushed by the barrier anymore.

"You couldn't have done that sooner?" Stacy said as she wiped off some dust from her clothes, then reached in her pockets to find she only had one gunpowder capsule left on her. 

"Yeah sorry, I only use that in case of emergencies. It uses up all I got left." I told her as she sat down and took in a deep breath. 

"Think he's out?" She asked me as I looked over to Shield and saw that he still hadn't moved yet. 

"I'd say so.... but it's better to be safe than sorry. I saw a firehose back in that hallway. Let's go get it and tie him up with it." I said as Stacy agreed with me. But, as I helped her to her feet, the two of us suddenly became entrapped in a barrier dome. 

"Oh shit!!! No, no, no!!" I shouted as I tried to punch through it, but my fists just bounced right off of the dome. 

"Kids these days..... they really are something...." We heard Shield say as he slowly got back up to his feet. His face was severely burned now, his cheeks partially melted away as the left side of his mouth was also drooping to the side. 

"Let us out, you bastard!!" I demanded but he just silently shook his head at us. 

"Not a fucking chance, dude. I have had it with you two red skinned hero wannabes. Now you die. And just to be sure...." Shield said as he pulled out a needle filled with the Trigger drug and stuck it in his neck. He let out a brief scream before he started laughing once more. 

"Now this fight's really over. It took you all you had to match me before, and that was before I jacked myself up. What can ya do now, kiddos!? Nothing, that's what!! Now I get to have so much fun as I watch you get crushed together!!" Shield said with much joy as the dome quickly began to shrink, already forcing me and Stacy to go back to back on our knees. 

"Any ideas? I'm no help, I have no more heat left in my body." I said to Stacy as she pulled out her last gunpowder capsule.

"We might be able to kill two birds with one stone here. But it'll definitely take me out of this fight. Do you trust me?" She asked me as I gave her a nod. The dome was starting to press against our knees now, making it one hell of a tight squeeze for the both of us. 

"Whatever you're doing, just hurry!" I said as she then grabbed both of her horns and broken them off, pouring out the gunpowder that she had stored inside them onto the floor and putting the capsule there as well. 

"HERE GOES NOTHING!!" Stacy shouted as she used her superheated breath to ignite all the powder beneath our feet, erupting the inside of the dome in an explosion that near effortlessly blasted it to pieces, filling the room in a cloud of smoke. 

"Oh come the fuck on!! Seriously!? Just one time can I fight someone who doesn't have an answer out of that dome!?" Shield complained as I pulled Stacy out of the smoke and out into the hallway. I had absorbed all of the heat from the explosion after we broke out but she still took some serious damage. She was bleeding and burned in several parts of her body, but she was still alive. 

"Thank you, Stacy.... Now I owe you one..." I said as I went to go back in and face Shield. But she grabbed my right hand before I could go. 

"Wait...." She said with a very weak voice. I then turned back and crouched back down to meet her at eye level. 

"Just in case...." She said as she leaned in and kissed me on my lips, letting me breath in her superheated breath. 

"Now go kick his ass...." Stacy said as I then kissed her forehead and thanked her before getting up and walking back into the pool room. 

"Where's your little gunpowder gal, kiddo? Or did she kick the bucket!?" Shield shouted to me. 

"No, she still alive and that's the way she's gonna stay. But you on the other hand, i'm not so sure about. Because when i'm through with you, all that's gonna be left is a puddle of burning flesh!" I shouted as I released around 20% of my heat reserves into two huge burst. The flames near instantly turned from a bright orange to blue as I had absorbed so much heat from the explosion and Stacy's breath. I fired the burst right at Shield as he created an enormous barrier the size of a house to block it. But my attack pushed the barrier back right into him and pressed him against the wall. 

"There's no fucking way!! Nothing beats my quirk!! NOTHING!!!" Shield screamed as he made his flat barrier change shape to entrap the fire in a dome. He then shrunk it down until there was nothing left. 

"Now it's my turn!! Let's see you deal with all these, dumb ass!!" Shield shouted as he made ten large barriers appear at once.

"BRING IT ON!!!" I roared back at him as he sent each one at me one at a time. From every angle, the barriers came crashing at me, and each one I dodged my using small burst to slide me across the floor. 

"FUCKING STAY STILL SO I CAN KILL YOU!!!" Shield howled with fury as he made a dozen more barriers appear, sending them all at me at once. 

"NOT A CHANCE!!! YOU AIN'T KILLIN' ME OR ANYONE EVER AGAIN!!!" I screamed back at him as I spread my arms straight out on both side, then unleashed two giant burst and spun, turning me into a small blue flaming tornado. I melted the barriers as they approached until none remained.

"LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN!!!" Shield shouted as he made another barrier dome surround me. He clapped his hands together and forced the dome to shrink at such a high speed that it was already beginning to crush my body inside. I heard some snaps as I knew my limbs and bones were giving way to the pressure. 

"NOT.... GONNA.... DIE..... I AM.... THE SUN HERO!!!" I shouted as I used 50% of my heat reserves at once, igniting my body once more as I erupted, blasting apart the dome once again as I staggered Shield, forcing him against a wall and part of a broken window. 

"COME THE FUCK ON!!! THAT'S IT, I'M DONE!!! I AM KILLING YOU RIGHT HERE AND FUCKING NOW, YOU PRICK!!!" Shield roared as he created a gargantuan barrier the size of a 5-story building, and easily several feet thick. 

"Only 30% heat left..... this has got to count...." I thought as I stood back up on my feet and crossed my arms in front of me. 

"DIE!!!" Shield howled at the top of his lungs as he sent the barrier at me. 

"In the name of my hero idol...... God, I've always wanted to do this! ULTIMATE MOVE!!! PROMINENCE BURN!!!!!" I roared as I spread my arms out and thrusted my chest forward, unleashing what heat I had left in a colossal burst of white fire that collided with the giant barrier. 

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Me and Shield both screamed as we tried our best to force our attacks to push past the other. 

"PLUS..... ULTRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" I roared as a loud *CRACK* sound filled the room. 

"WHAT!?" Shield said in utter shock at it was his barrier that was beginning to break apart.

"WITNESS THE POWER OF THE SUN, YOU DAMN VILLAIN!!! NOTHING STOPS ITS ALMIGHTY POWER!!!" I shouted as I broke through his barrier and blasted Shield with my super flame. I blasted him right through the wall behind him and out of the building. And I didn't stop until all the heat left in me was gone, just to be sure. And when it was all gone, I dropped to my knees as my body was left smoking. 

"Try getting up from that.... dumb ass...." I said as I could see through the hole in the wall that I had shot Shield all the way over into the building across the street from the one we were in. He laid motionless and I was confident he wasn't getting up this time. I then crawled my way over to Stacy and sat against the wall right next to her. She had a smile on her face as she had a front row seat to all of that. 

"Really? You copied.... Endeavor's.... Prominence Burn?" She jokingly asked me with a small chuckle as I started to laugh as well. 

"He's my idol.... what do you expect from someone like me with a flame quirk?" I replied as she leaned herself next to me, putting her head on my right shoulder. 

"After we all win this..... let's say you and I.... I don't know, go to a movie?" I asked Stacy as she chuckled a bit more. 

"No movie.... too hot in there.... beach... with cold water.... and lots of shade...." She said which made me laugh a bit more too. 

"Alright, whatever you say. I'll take you to that beach when we're done here...." I said as we both rested our heads back. We'd both went beyond our exhaustion points during that fight. Stacy's body was a mess and i'd overheated my whole body. I could barely move any of my muscles now. We were done. But still, we managed to beat one of these villain douche bags. Even if it wasn't the boss, it still helps everyone else out. We just had to hope the bomb squad managed to disarm the nuke by now, otherwise we'd all be cooked very, very soon. 

"Ryan.... don't let us down, dude. I just scored me a date.... i'll kill you if we all die now..."
