And now the endgame of Act 1 is set. The villains are ready to begin, the heroes are in chaos.... all has been leading to this arc. Each side will be tested to their absolute limits. But, as of this moment, the edge would have to go to the Injustice Squad. I mean, they already had 11 powerful members, but now they have Cry who they turned, and then Harper as a hostage, yeah, it's not looking good for the hero side. Can they pull out the win at the end of the day? Even I don't know at this point because they literally need a miracle to come out on top. And even with Wrath Queen finally making her return, it still may not be enough.Now, let's get right back into the action. Enjoy!

-POV: Harper-

"Please..... anyone........" I muttered to myself as I laid on the bed in the room I was locked into. It had been hours since I was kidnapped, and at this point, I'd basically given up on hoping to be saved. I could hear people walking around outside my room, but not once since Cry left did anyone come in. 

"Why take me? Of all people, why did it have to be me?" I questioned as someone knocked on my door. 

"You're not welcome to come in." I said to whoever it was as the door was unlocked. Coming in was Markus who closed the door behind him and then pulled over a chair to sit on. 

"How's our guest doing?" He asked me as I sat up on the bed and faced him. 

"Bite me, asshole." I told him as he just smiled.

"Yeah, I kinda expected that." Markus said. 

"What did you guys do to Cry? How did you make him forget who he was and make him think he's your son?" I asked as Markus sighed and leaned back in his chair. 

"One of ours, his name is Gregory. He is probably one of the greatest doctors in the world, maybe even to ever live. One of the most talented brain surgeons out there. But his experiments got him kicked out of all society. But, it was those experiments which lead to Cry being born again into my world. You see, Gregory's quirk allows him to take control of someone's blood. By diverting the blood in Cry's brain, then rearranging the sections and flesh, he was able to forcefully remove memories from his mind." Markus explained to me as I just listened in pure horror. 

"How did you get him to think he's your son then?" I asked. 

"I donated a large portion of my own blood. Gregory used it, hardened it into a fleshy tissue, then implanted it into Cry's brain. He discovered that blood can contain memories as well. So, by putting some of mine in, my own memories were now in Cry's mind. My deepest memory, about the son I always wanted but could never have. And that's what it took to make him believe it all. And he believes my pregnant wife, who was sadly murdered with my unborn son, is also his mother, not that trash of a pro hero, Wrath Queen." Markus explained to me. 

"And what about me? Are you gonna do the same thing to me as you did him? Gonna make me think i'm your daughter?" I asked Markus as he shook his head. 

"No, no..... No, we have other plans for you. We wouldn't be a real team of villains if we didn't take a hostage, would we?" Markus said to me. 

"So then what're you gonna do to me?" I asked him. 

"Ah, ah, ah. Not telling. It'll spoil the surprise. But... if all goes according to plan, you will walk away from all this with your life. But that is a very big if." Markus told me as someone else started knocking on the door now. 

"Yeah, come in." Markus said as he looked back to the door. The owl girl named Poppy came in to see him. 

"I got them, boss. Vassago was kind enough to give me some small packages." Poppy told Markus as he nodded his head. 

"Excellent work. I knew that young gun wouldn't say no to you. Go get things prepped. We're gonna be starting final phase soon." Markus told her as she left us. 

"What did she bring back? And what's "final phase?"" I asked as Markus looked back at me. 

"Poppy there used to be a member of a drug lords gang. But some of her comrades abandoned her and she got caught by the police. When she escaped, she decided to come to us instead. To think, all that happened to someone who's even younger than you, just the age of 15. But look at what she can accomplish. She just supplied us with enough weapons and Trigger to begin our revolution." Markus explained to me as he stood up and walked over to me. 

"Are you ready to begin?" He asked me. 

"What. Is. Final. Phase?" I asked him as I stood up and looked up right at his eyes, rage in my own. 

"If I told you..... then i'd have to kill you...." Markus whispered into my ear as he then began to push me along, out of my room and into the room where the table was. All the Squad's members were all gathered here, two small crates filled with weapons and drugs off to the side. 

"Ladies and gentlemen. Today, we take our first steps in taking back what we lost. No longer shall this world be ruled by heroes who make it weak. No, the time for us to rise from the ashes has arrived. Philadelphia is only just the beginning as well. Soon, we shall spread our influence on a global scale, sparking our great revolution and making or world strong again. We will reclaim what we lost. Our places in this world." Markus spoke to his friends as they all cheered together. 

"Daina...." Markus said as he then shoved me over to her. 

"She's all yours. Take good care of her." He said as Daina grabbed a hold of my shoulders. 

"Hey girl. We are just gonna have the best time together, you and I. Now let's go. I need to get you prepped." Daina said as she took me into another room. 

The time had come for the Injustice Squad to make their big move. And here I was, helpless, defenseless, and just completely useless in the middle of it all. All I could hope for was a miracle to shine down on my friends and all the heroes in the city. 

-POV: Third Person-

After rushing Jiro to the hospital, Wrath Queen returned to P.H academy to inform the principal of the current situation. An immediate emergency assembly was called out to all students in every year, whether they be in the hero or support course. Each and every student, whether they be out doing an internship, at school, or even at home with a day off returned and gathered into the main gymnasium. Even Phobos, who's right arm was still in a sling,  showed up as he was extra concerned after just hearing the news about Cry's possible death. 

All teachers of each class 1-15 brought their students into the gymnasium where their principal would give them the run down of what was about to happen because of all this. The principal herself was a tall woman, easily mid-40's, with long light green hair, red eyes, a fancy looking red suit and pants, and black dress shoes. She was the top ranked hero in the city, and number 5 overall in the United States. The Rebirth Hero: Resurrecta.

"We apologize to all you for gathering you here on such short notice, but recent events have brought cause to do so. And now, it is time for you all to learn the truth. The hero course students in the first year know a portion of what's going on, but the remainder of you have yet to find out what has been happening over the past few days. So, allow me to catch you all up." Resurrecta spoke to everyone. 

"Finally, some answers. Maybe we'll find out what's actually happened to Cry. And, where the heck is Harper? She's like the only person not here right now?" Phobos thought to himself, looking for his friend. 

"3 days ago, one of the temporary student teachers, Tenshonoma Cryshiki took out 5 first years from our very own class 2 to do their week long internships. However, during their very first day out, they encountered a handful of villains that have given this school much trouble in the past. They call themselves the Injustice Squad." Principal Resurrecta spoke to the students as everyone erupted into chatter. 

"The Squad again? I thought Ms. Wrath Queen defeated them? They're seriously back again?" Some of the students muttered. 

"The students and their teacher had no choice but to battle with the Squad, and it was discovered that they had grown from a meager 3 members to a much more threatening 10. The students were no match for them, and were swiftly beaten. But Cryshiki took it upon himself to prioritize their safety over his own. He saved the students lives, and they are standing among us as I speak. However, after saving his students, Cryshiki then chose to stay and take on the Squad himself. We are unaware of how said battle took place, but we now know the outcome." Principal Resurrecta explained as Amelia, Kira, Stacy, Holly, and Asami all lowered their heads, believing to know the outcome already. 

"At first, it was believed that Cryshiki was killed in the battle. But, the fact no body was found at the scene grew suspicions. And then, last night, we obtained our answer. Cryshiki is not dead, but was captured by the Injustice Squad." Principal Resurrecta spoke as the five girls raised their heads back up, both relieved and horrified at this news. 

"He's alive! Oh my goodness, I was so scared he died because of us...." Amelia said as she took some deep breaths. 

"But that is not the end. Far from it, to be exact. Because last night, one of our students, Harper Leesons of class 1..... she was attacked.... by Cryshiki." Resurrecta said as everyone then erupted into anger and doubt. 

"Harper's..... she's been attacked... No, no, no, that can't be! Not from Cry! He wouldn't do that!" Phobos shouted out as the principal silenced everyone again. 

"I understand the anger and confusion all of you feel. And it is true. Cryshiki would not harm anyone. But after being captured by the Squad, now he would. And he has. Somehow, in someway, the Squad was able to remove memories from his mind and implant new ones. Cryshiki no longer remembers his own mother, Wrath Queen. Instead, he now believes the leader of the Injustice Squad, Markus Wheeler, is his father. And to make matters worse, Cryshiki not only attacker Harper..... he's kidnapped her as well, along with hospitalizing his companion, Kyoka Jiro." Resurrecta spoke as everyone erupted into even more anger.

"That's not possible! No one can just tamper with another's memories!! We have to go and save both of them!!" The students roared in their feuds. 

"As such, you students, as well as the ones who were taken are our top priority. And so, it has been decided that P.H Academy will cancel the remainder of its first semester. All of you will go home and keep yourselves safe until we heroes can fix this problem. And not until we save Harper and Cryshiki, as well as take down this Injustice Squad will we resume the semester." Resurrecta said as the students anger turned to outrage.

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!! LET US HELP, WE'RE HEROES AFTER ALL!! YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE AWAY OUR EDUCATION WE WORKED SO HARD TO EARN!!" The students roared in pure rage as they absolute had the right to do it. 

"Students, please, you must calm down. We're only doing this for your own safety!" Resurrecta said, trying to calm everyone down. 

"There's no need! Let the students stay, I say! Because at the end of this day, none of you will be able to leave! Or be alive for that matter." A new voice spoke out as everyone turned to face the back of the gym. 

"I apologize for our rude entry, but it's the only way we'd get you to stop talking." Markus said as he and Cry came walking out of a portal, right in front of the whole school. 

"You are both brave and stupid to casually walk into a room filled with pro heroes and students. Have you come to surrender?" Resurrecta asked as she gestured for the students to move aside. They obliged and separated, allowing her to walk straight forward to the enemy. 

"Just confident, is all." Markus spoke as Resurrecta stopped about 20ft from where he and Cry stood. 

"So.... somehow your group was able to take away and then implant memories into young Cryshiki's mind, yes? Explain." Resurrecta asked. 

"You're very wrong, lady. No one took anything away from me. I've always been like this. And it's how i'm going to stay." Cry said to her. 

"Hush, child. Now then, it's obvious you have no intent on returning Cryshiki or Harper. So, what are you planning on doing with them?" Resurrecta asked them. 

"Harper is simply our hostage. If you get in our way, she will be hurt, and eventually, she will be killed. If not, then she'll be fine. And, as for my son here, he is the instrument that has helped us take tremendous leaps forward. Our plans are all set now, and we are mere moments away from beginning. All we need now is our spark to ignite it all." Markus explained which made the principal curious. 

"And what might that be?" Resurrecta asked them as Cry pointed his right obsidian arm at her. 

"You...." Cry said as he activated his quirk, creating a portal underneath the principal in which she fell through. Cry then closed it as Wrath Queen ran forward next. 

"What did you do!? Where did you send her!?" She demanded to know. 

"We knew Ressurecta could revive the dead and herself upon death, so we had to send her somewhere where she couldn't pose any problems to us..... ever again. So my son sent her up. Way up. Floating forever in the darkness beyond the world...." Markus said as Cry chuckled with great joy. 

"I wish I could've been there. To hear her head go *POP*." Cry said as all the students screamed. Wrath Queen grew into a fiery rage but she had no time to do anything as one of the students charged forward ahead of her. 

"I will squash you for killing principal!!!" Sergei roared as he transformed into his demon form, rushing right for Markus.

"Is that so, big guy? Then let's see what you're made of!" Markus shouted as Cry stepped back to enjoy the show. 

"No, Sergei, WAIT!" Wrath Queen shouted but it was already too late. Sergei charged in recklessly, reeling back his claws as Markus brought back his right arm, using his Crush quirk on his hand. 

"YOU WILL PAY!!" Sergei howled as he thrusted his claws forward, meeting Markus head on. But upon first impact, a loud *CRUNCH* filled the gymnasium as Sergei moved his arms back in pain, letting out a whimpering roar. He staggered back but Markus closed the distance again. 

"What's the matter!? You looked much tougher on TV!!" Markus said as he struck Sergei in the chest and then delivered a strong uppercut, sending the monstrous Sergei flying across the gym into a crowd of students. 

"NOOOOO!!! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!!!" Trini screamed as she then went running for Markus, but Wrath Queen grabbed her and held her back to stop her from hurting herself. 

"That's enough, students! Someone help Sergei, right now!" Wrath Queen ordered as Markus only laughed. 

"What's wrong, Queen? Let the girl blow off some steam. See if it gets her anywhere...." Markus said as Jade came out of the portal next. 

"It's all set, boss. Just waiting for your order." She told him as he clapped his hands once. 

"Excellent. What about the boys down at site B?" Markus asked. 

"In position. Almost set up. Should take another 10 to complete before it's armed." Jade said as Markus gave her a nod before she went back into the portal.

"What the hell are you planning to do?" Wrath Queen asked them. 

"We want to make an example. Of why and how no hero should oppose us. Just so that when people get our message, they'll give us what we want and then it'll all be over. But.... as we said before.... get in our way, and we'll be forced to harm little Harper. OH DAINA!!" Markus called out as Daina came through the portal next, bringing in Harper who's hands and mouth were all taped up. 

"So, what'll it be, heroes? Stand down? Or be the reason more people get killed today?" Cry asked the room full of heroes. 

"We will never stand down to criminals like you. And we will not allow you to harm one of our own. We will save Harper from your damn clutches, and then we'll kick all of your asses. You can count on it." Wrath Queen spoke to the villains as Markus just chuckled again. 

"I see. Daina, take our little girl away and get her prepped. We're almost done here." Markus told her as she went back into the portal, dragging Harper with her. 

"I had a feeling you might say that. So, we took measures to ensure you wouldn't get in our way regardless of what you chose. Cry..... set it off...." Markus said as Cry activated his quirk. And then all of a sudden, from the floor, a bright green gas began to leak out. 

"What is this!? What did you do!?" Wrath Queen asked as all the students began to rush for the exits.

"Our friend Jade supplied us with a bunch of her toxic gas from her quirk. We stored it up and turned it all into a bomb which Cry had placed underneath the school when we stepped in here. Within minutes, all of you will be rendered paralyzed and you'll only be able to watch as we finish our plan..... and you all die. Cry, let's go." Markus said as he and Cry went back into the portal before it closed. 

"WHAT DO WE DO!? JUST GET OUTSIDE!! OUT OF MY WAY!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!" Most of the students cried in a panic as they all burst out of the gym and began to make their way outside. But upon exiting the school, pure terror truly took hold of them. The entire school grounds was entrapped by a massive force field. 

"Didn't think it'd be that easy to escape, would you? No, no, no, can't make it easy for ya." Cry said as he and Poppy floated in the sky above the force field, above all the students and teachers. 

"Before you all become frozen in your own fear, we give you all a front row seat to the true spark of our revolution!!" Poppy shouted as Cry took out a syringe of Trigger from his left pocket. He inserted it into his neck and then screamed a bit before calming down. 

"Philadelphia! Home to over 34 hero agencies, and over 100 pro heroes!! Now..." Cry said as he activated his quirk, creating huge and pitch black thunderclouds above the entire city. 

"Home to none but yourselves...." Cry said as gigantic bolts of lightning rained down from the sky simultaneously, striking precisely in locations where hero agencies were located, bombarding them with an onslaught of nigh-unstoppable power.

"Oh my god... they're taking them all out..... And they've made us watch.... They can't be stopped...." Phobos said in absolute horror as Cry stopped firing lightning and watched as a multitude of explosions erupted all over the city. 

"You are all that remains of the heroes in this city, P.H academy!! But that will only last so long! Because on this day, you will share their fate and die!!!" Poppy spoke as all the students and teachers tried to break through the force field. But no matter how strong any of them were, none could damage it. It was impenetrable. 

"Kira!!" Wrath Queen shouted to the ghost girl as she rushed over. 

"You are the only one here who can get through this thing!! Get out of here and try and find any pro heroes who could've survived those strikes!!! Or even just the police, just someone who can help us!!" Wrath Queen ordered her as she obliged and ran for the edge of the force field. Kira activated her intangibility and ran right through it, making it outside and making a run for the down town area.

"Go after her. No one escapes." Cry said to Poppy as the owl girl began to chase after the escapee. Cry then disappeared into a portal as the sounds of an ear deafening megaphone spread throughout the entire city. 

"Ladies and gentlemen of Philadelphia. My name is Markus Wheeler. I lead a criminal group known as the Injustice Squad. We are a band of outcasts and misfits who have been in the shadows for too long. All we want is to take back what was taken away from us. And that is our place in the light. To those of you wondering why the city was suddenly struck by multiple bolts of lightning, I will answer and say that was us. We have successfully just killed or critically injured every single pro hero that lives within the city limits. All who remain are the ones that stand at P.H academy. But, you cannot expect them to save you in this time." Markus spoke as everyone pulled out their phones. This speech was being broadcast through every single electronic device in the area.

"Your heroes are trapped and cannot escape. So, the only ones who can save you are yourselves. But, if there are any of you who do not have a reason to worry yet, I believe we can change your mind. Within the next hour, you will all evacuate the city. If you do not, then you will fall victim to a nuclear bomb which has been set up in the location where heroes are born on a world stage. The International Sports Festival is where the world comes together, and now, it's where the world is gonna start falling apart. To any hero who is still out there and able to fight, you now have to choose. Do you find and disarm the bomb? Or do you come to the tallest building in the city to stop the villains? Well, you've only got..... 58 minutes to decide. We'll be waiting." Markus spoke as the broadcast shut off. The students grew into an even greater panic as the toxic gas was finally coming out of the school. 

"LET US OUT, PLEASE!!!" The students cried but no one was coming to save them. The only ones to act were Tika who zapped herself into her cell phone and Ryan who ran over to an electrical box.

"God, I hope this works!!" Ryan shouted as he jammed his arms into the box, getting blasted his high jolts of electricity. 

And as the gas fully filled the force field, all the students held their breath for as long as possible until they were forced to breath it in. And, as the seconds passed by, one-by-one they became paralyzed, frozen like statues as they could do nothing but watch as their world crumbled before them. 

-Meanwhile elsewhere....-

The vigilantes Rebecca(Twilight) and William(Pein) currently sat in their apartment watching the news. Rebecca cleaning her pulse guns and William reading the paper. But as they listened in to the terrifying news, they quickly stopped and watched as everything unfolded before them. 

"I don't know how it happened, but eyewitnesses all over the city have begun to tweet images of all the hero agencies!! Each and every one has been turned to ashes!! And I've just gotten word that Persevering Heights academy is under attack! The school is completely surrounded by some sort of force field and the students and staff are stuck inside!! It looks as though they can't break out and..... Wait, hold on.... this just in! We have an update on P.H academy! New images from the public has shown that a gas of some sorts has grown inside the force field and all of the students and staff are freezing in place!! If none of them can escape, is this the end of heroes for our great city!? And is what the leader of the Injustice Squad said really true!? Is there really a nuclear device inside the city!? Whether it's a bluff or not, citizens of Philadelphia should evacuate to a safe distance immediately!!" The news reporter said as they flew over the city in a helicopter. 

"Oh my goodness..... This can't be real.... there's just no way...." Rebecca said as the two simply watched in awe and terror. But then, the cameras panned over to Kira who was running for her life from Poppy. 

"We've got more breaking news!! Kira Summers, first year of P.H academy has been spotted outside the force field and is headed into the downtown area!! She appears to be being chased by an unknown person with what looks to be an owl quirk! If anyone is out there, hero or civilian, please give Kira assistance!!" The reporter shouted as the vigilantes could see on the TV that Kira pulled out her phone and dialed a number. And now 2 seconds later did Rebecca's phone start ringing. She answered it quickly. 

"PLEASE, YOU HAVE TOO HELP ME!! I'M BEING CHASED BY THAT OWL BITCH AND SHE'S TRYING TO KILL ME!! PLEASE, HURRY!!!" Kira screamed in fear as Poppy swooped down and swiped at her with her talons. She missed but it caused Kira to stumble and drop her phone.

"Shit, come on, we've gotta go!" Rebecca said as her and William got off their butts and suited up. They grabbed all their gear and then rushed out of their apartment all the way down to their vehicles. 

"Give me the keys, i'll get us to her faster!" William said as Rebecca tossed him her keys to her motorcycle. The two hopped on and then set out into the city, looking for their new companion. 

-Meanwhile back at P.H....-

As the gas finally began to dissipate, all of the staff and students had become fully paralyzed. Or, all but 2 of them. Tika, who had hid inside her cell phone, reemerged and was totally fine. And Ryan, who absorbed all of that electricity into his muscles, was able to neutralize the effects of the gas thanks to the electricity constantly keeping his muscles moving. 

"Anyone!! Is there anyone here who can still move!?" Ryan shouted as he bumped into Tika. 

"Oh thank god, it's not just me. We've gotta find a way to fix everyone. But I can't zap them with my electricity. It would just hurt everyone and could even kill them." Tika explained as Ryan stepped forward, rubbing his hands together. 

"I can disperse all the electricity in me into a low voltage wave. If might be enough to save everyone here. But there's no guarantee." He explained as Tika gave him a nod before stepping way back. Ryan then placed his hands flat on the ground and began to generate all of the electricity stored within him.

"Low Volt Electrowave!" Ryan shouted as he blasted the area with his electricity, zapping the feet of all who were paralyzed. And as the effects of the force field began to finally diminish, so did the effects of the paralysis on only some of those who were trapped. Classes 1 and 2, Wrath Queen, Trini, and Sergei were all fortunate enough to be freed, but only because they were closest to Ryan when he unleashed the wave. The others were less fortunate and remained paralyzed.

"Holy crap, it worked! Here, let me charge you up again so you can free everyone else." Tika said as she readied to shoot electricity at Ryan. 

"Won't work. That move blows my electric charge for a while, so I can't use it for a few hours now. And I can't just touch anyone with just electricity in my hands or else i'll hurt them. I can't save anyone else here." Ryan explained as Wrath Queen walked over and placed her left arm on his right shoulder. 

"But you saved enough. We now have a fighting chance thanks to you. But we must act quickly. Ryan, I want you to take Holly, Bruce, Phil, Stella, Jackson, Colson, and Midareka out to the football stadium where that bomb is! I do not care what it takes, you must stop it from going off! Everyone else, you will come with me! We are all who can stand up and take down these villains who threaten our home! Today, we stand together!! Today, you are no longer mere students!! YOU ARE HEROES!!!" Wrath Queen spokes as everyone cheered with her. The smaller group then separated from the main group and began booking it for the location where the nuclear device was supposedly located. And the group led by Wrath Queen headed for where Markus said he was. In the tallest building in the city. 

-POV: Kira-

I'd been running for around 20 minutes now but I just couldn't lose Poppy at all! Even if I ran into or through a building with my quirk, she would always catch up to me in no time. And no matter where I looked, down every corner to every street, hero agencies were burning or were in pieces with no heroes in sight. Fear had set in and it was clear that they were simply gone.

"There's no point in running, Kira!! Just admit defeat, you can't beat us all by yourself!! You just let me tear you to shreds already!!" Poppy shouted as she swooped down to strike me again. But as I turned my head to see how close she was, I failed to see the edge of a curb and I lost my footing. I nearly fell over and stumbled forward and Poppy came down and slashed my back with her foot talons. I screamed and collapsed in the middle of the street, people watching and running away screaming as Poppy came down to the ground and landed right in front of my head. She reached down and grabbed my hair, pulling me up to meet her at eye level. 

"Does it hurt? I hope it does. Be thankful, Kira. You get to die before you everyone else does. You won't have to watch them pass on." Poppy said as she raised her beak up. But before she could stab me with it, she suddenly let out an ear deafening screech before letting me go and jumping over me and into the air. And in that moment, my prayers were answered. 

"Sorry we're late, Kira. Had a tough time figuring out where you were. Is this little birdy giving you trouble?" Twilight asked as she and Pein had arrived to save her. 

"You two again!? I thought vigilantes didn't care for this sort of saving business!?" Poppy shouted as she reached behind her and pulled out a taser bullet from her back. 

"When it involves the whole god damn city it does. This place is our home and you can't take it away from us. And this girl may just be the only hero left who can help save it. Heroes aren't gonna die out because she's gonna live, and we're gonna make sure of it." Pein said as Twilight loaded up her pulse guns with her brand new explosives ammunition. 

"Kira, no need to worry now. We'll take care of the birdy bitch." She said as Poppy began to swoop down on them. 

"I'll rip the flesh from your bones!!" Poppy shouted as she and the vigilantes charged each other. 

"LET'S CLIP HER WINGS!!"
