"If you really want to be a hero that badly, there might actually be another way... Just pray that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life. And take a swan dive off the roof of the building."

"Sorry. But without a Quirk, you can't be a hero."

These words echoed in Midoriya's mind as he blinked back his tears.

Why...?

Why did he have to suffer this much simply because he lacked something that most people had?

It just wasn't fair!

"Fair? There's no such thing as fair." A strange voice muttered into his ear causing Midoriya to freeze in place.

"Who said that?" He called out as he began to look around for the mysterious voices owner.

"Over here!" The voice whispered in his ear again causing Midoriya to whip around to his left, only to find himself staring in the direction of Dagobah Beach.

"Yes... that's it..." The mysterious voice muttered in his ear again, while somehow making it sound like it truly was coming from the ruined beaches direction.

Now under any normal circumstances, Midoriya wouldn't have listened to a creepy mysterious voice that whispered in his ear because that's usually what got people killed in horror movies but something told him that this was... different.

For a moment, he hesitated. Listening to mysterious voices was never a good idea. But this felt different. It felt... familiar, and yet... at the same time not.

Almost like an old friend he'd never met, or a memory that wasn't his.

As he stood there, the world around him seemed to blur, and for a moment, the crashing waves sounded like roaring flames, the salty breeze filled with the scent of ash and smoke. He blinked, and for a split second, he wasn't standing on the edge of a ruined beach but in a field of scorched earth, surrounded by shadows and embers.

Before he could wonder where he was, he suddenly snapped back to his senses. Only to realise that he'd somehow made his way over to the beach during the vision.

"What's happening to me?" Midoriya muttered to himself as he shook his head and rubbed his face.

"Almost there..." The voice called out to him again, except this time, as it spoke, a strange tugging sensation began to build in Midoriya's stomach, guiding him forward and pulling him deeper into the maze of bleached, jagged metal and acrid smelling trash.

With every step he took making a disgusting squelching sound but he continued forward as a strange sense of determination filled his mind.

He frowned in confusion as he continued forward without stopping.

Where had this sudden sense of determination come from? And why did it choose now, of all times, to appear?

These questions floated around his mind as he followed the strange tug in his stomach. Letting it guide him deeper into the ruined beach.

With every step he took, the world seemed to flicker and morph into something else, letting him catch glimpses of places he'd never been or seen before but at the same time, it felt like he knew them intimately.

Soon, he found himself standing before a massive pile of junk stacked unevenly on top of one another. It looked like it could fall over at any minute, Midoriya noted idely as his eyes roamed over the pillar of junk.

He slowly found his eyes drifting lower down to the the base of the promptly named "junk pillar" before a small glint of silver caught his eye.

It was a pendant. It was shaped like the head of a snarling wolf, with a fierce and menacing expression, sharp fangs, and pointed ears.

As he examined the strange, almost pristine looking pendant, he noticed that for some strange reason, it's eyes had began to glow a bright, blood red.

He didn't know why but he suddenly felt the desire to place the strange pendant around his neck.

However, as soon as he did so, something began to happen.

He frowned, a strange burning sensation began to build deep within his stomach. At first, he paid no mind to it but after a few moments the sensation quickly grew worse causing the Viridian haired boy to collapse to the ground in pain.

Excruciating pain flared throughout his entire body as groans of discomfort forced their way out of his mouth. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a faint wisp of smoke slowly start to rise off his body.

Soon the faint wisps of smoke slowly began to grow darker as fire began to spark from his twitching body.

"...Wh-whats ha-happening to m-m-me?" He managed to whimper out, his voice barely louder than a whisper, as he watched the once firey sparks that had flickered off his body explode from his body in a fiery explosion.

Annihilating anything and everything around him.

The last thing Midoriya saw before the darkness engulfed him was a tall man with a simian-like appearance dressed in a strange outfit, that looked almost like a set of armour. In this monkey man's had was a large black staff with golden rings on both ends of it.

"Who...?"

Wukong glanced around at the now scorched black beach before he looked back at the unconscious boy in front of him, a mischievous grin on his face.

"Well, well..." He began as he snapped his fingers and transformed into a teenage boy, his staff shrinking down as he changed before disappearing entirely from sight, "After all these years, you finally wake up! Took you long enough!"

He let out an exaggerated sigh, "I guess I should tell you that you're not the first one to awaken in this era." He muttered, crouching down to examine Midoriya's unconscious form

"Still though," He muttered as he summoned a phone into his hand and began to dial the numbers 119, "This could have been so much worse..."

As his phone rang, Wukong quickly cleared his throat as he held the device up to his ear and listened for when the call would finally connect.

"Emergency services, what is your location and the nature of your emergency?"

As soon as he heard the operators voice, a large grin grew on Wukong's face, 'Oh this was going to be fun...' He thought to himself before he began to yell into the phone. "Ah yes! I need an ambulance! My friend's just collapsed on Dagobah Beach!" he yelled into the phone, feigning a panicked voice as he rolled his eyes in amusement.

"Is the person conscious? Are there any visible injuries? Is there a fire or any immediate danger?"

"No." Wukong replied before he hung up the phone and hoisted Midoriya over his shoulder. "Right!" He exclaimed to himself as he began walking back to the entrance to the beach. "Lets get you into a more convenient and believable spot."

Without another word, Wukong tossed Midoriya onto the pavement near the side walk of Dagobah Beach and shifted his body to make it look as though he'd simply collapsed.

For extra believability, Wukong summoned a small ring of fire around Midoriya and scorched the ground black.

Once he had finished, he took a step back to admire his handy work. "Now that's so much better." He muttered as he examined the scene before him.

"Don't you think so Ifrit?" He asked as the sound of sirens reached his ears, before he crouched down to appear as if he was worriedly checking his friend.

The blaring sirens grew louder, cutting through the salty sea air, as flashing red and blue lights illuminated the darkened sections of the beach.

He watched as the ambulance pulled up beside them and the medics jumped out of the vehicle to help lift the veridian-haired boy up before quickly following them into the vehicle.

'Soon...' Wukong thought as he passed one last glance at the boys prone form. 'I do hope that you're ready for the changes you and your friends will be bringing to this world.' He mused as he idly fiddled with the boys phone that he managed to snag from his bag, which the paramedics were kind enough to place next to him during the drive to the hospital.

Something told him that he was going to have to put some extra effort into helping this boy in particular. He saw the signs, even with a passing glance when he first felt Ifrit awaken.

He'd hoped that his suspicions were wrong but upon examining both the boys uniform and his slightly singed items, he came to one very unwelcome conclusion.

He was being bullied and had been for a very long while now. That wasn't good, especially if he hadn't told his parents, because there was no telling how bad his mental state was affected, doubly so if the boy was Quirkless like he suspected.

This boy was going to need more then just a teacher, the monkey king rationalised as he quietly slipped Midoriya's phone back into his bag, he's also going to need a mentor figure.
_______________________________________________
I think this is decent enough for a prologue. So, thoughts? I think I've done a great start to this story. I do plan for this story to take a while, now before any of you ask - the five Eikons that are awake at the moment are as follows: Ifrit, Bahamut, Titan, Shiva and Ramuh. I have plans for Leviathan, Garuda and Odin with an idea for who they can be but you are free to guess them.

As for looks, Sun Wukong looks like the one seen in Black Myth: Wukong's beginning with the same armour and staff appearance with his human disguise being Mori Jon from God of Highschool. Izuku's heroes outfit is the Iron-Tough set seen in Black Myth: Wukong with boots, so he's not barefooted. His weapon is the staff of Blazing Karma which also from Black Myth: Wukong.

Now with that said and done, I do hope you enjoyed this chapter and be sure to expect more updates in the future.
