Chapter 6

"Easy, easy, and right here!" Deku and Jayori are hanging out with Marsen. Currently they are playing a game of cards. "Looks like I'm about to achieve victory." The naga said, thinking he's already won. "Oh. Well that's too bad because I have a full cabin." Jayori put down her cards whiched revealed a full deck.

Marsen's face shifted into a shocked one and starred at her with disbelief, "What, come on?! How do you do it?!?" He complained, his blue scales darkening a bit on his face. The half tiger girl let out a chuckle and looks at Deku. He couldn't help but chuckle along. The human boy couldn't help but feel a sense of peace with himself.

As he continued to watch the naga and half-blood bicker, he feels a sense of nostalgia of remembering his friends back at home would argue. Especially Bakugou, who would start a fight over anything. He's brought out of his thoughts when he feels a tap on his soldier and looks into a pair of golden silts.

He jumps slightly and calms down after realizing it's Marsen, "Anyway, you hungry? I can fix something since I don't want to be left alone yet." He asks. Deku smiles and nods his head. Marsen then slithers off, but not before he sends a glare at Jayori, "I'll deal with you later." He says and heads off to the kitchen. The tiger girl just rolls her eyes and scratches her ear.

She looks over at Deku and smiles at him. The boy's face reddens a bit but smiles back. "So, how do you like it here?" She asks. Deku directs his gaze to his lap, "I-I really like it here. But I do miss home and I know they're probably looking for m-me." Jayori couldn't help but feel a little sad. She likes having Deku here, but she didn't want to be responsible for his misery.

Before she could say something, the broccoli-haired boy beats her, "B-but don't get me wrong I like all the friends I've made here and I like hanging out with you!" He said. This surprised Jayori. But Deku wasn't done yet, "I feel-no you helped me see things for what they really are. Misunderstood. And I don't want there to be fights between differences that can't be helped. So until I understand and learn more, I want to stand by you because you of all people have face such beings that your scars prove it."

After he finished, Jayori was frozen. Never has she meant someone so determined for something. Without thinking she lunges at Deku knocking him down onto his back. This flustered the poor boy but he looked into her eyes. He fell into a trance. He saw a slight glimpse of tears in her sapphire-blue eyes, but she wouldn't let them fall.

"You never cease to surprise me." The half-blood's ears twitch a bit, while also pointing up. This showed she was happy, (Deku has been very observant of her). Deku hesitantly wraps his arms around her waist, grazing her tail a bit. Stroking her long, soft hair. And for a moment the two embrace each other in a tender moment.

But it was interrupted by a white-haired snake boy. "Hope I'm not interrupting something." He said in a sly and teasing tone. Deku's face flushes red and stutters. Jayori gives Marsen an annoyed look but gets off Deku and offers a hand. The boy takes a breathe to calm down and takes her hand.

The two then walk to the kitchen. Marsen grabs Deku's arm and pulls him close. This surprise the greenette but looks at Marsen, "How'd they feel?" He asked. Deku was confused. Marsen looks to Jayori and back at the human in front of him, "Y'know?" He then points a thumb to the tiger girl and points to his chest. At first Deku was confused, but when he put the pieces together his entire body freezes up.

"Are you two done or are you gonna eat? Food smells good though Marsen." Jayori says. The naga chuckles and pats Deku's back heading over to serve the food. The tiger girl wags her tail a bit and sees Deku in a somewhat frozen state, "You alright Izu?" She asks. This snapped the boy out of his trance and stutters out a quick reassurance and walks to the table.

Once everyone is at the table, Jayori and Marsen talk about memories when they were younger, while Deku tends to his thoughts, "How they felt? Soft I guess." He never really knew what to do with a girl, but Jayori was definitely something else entirely. A small, fond smile appeared on his face, he didn't care what she looked like but she is truly captivating. Looks and personality were something she had and definitely worked.

But then his face flushed again at a realization, "Wait?!? She called me Izu!?!" He shouted in his mind. He looked over at Jayori and feels his heart beat quickened. His smile returned and by a stroke of confidence, "I'm fine Tiger." This surprised the half-blood and she looked over at him with a little blush. But smiled back and wave her hand.

Deku waved back and continued eating. What they didn't know was that a certain naga saw the whole exchange with a fond smile, "You haven't been this happy in a long time Cocora. And I'm glad. Take care of her Midoriya." He thought and resumed eating.

Meanwhile (with Class 1-A)

"First Midoriya now Tsuyu is missing along with All Might!" Hagakure exclaims. Everyone of Class 1-A all gathered in their hideout after Ochako told them, with tears in her eyes. "Alright, I know this is unforeseen, but now the village will be in more panic knowing that another teen and a council member ran off into the forest." Iida says, trying to maintain order.

Everyone started to come up with ways to sneak into the forest. "I don't know about any of you, but I think a couple of us should go in so that the rest can keep the village occupied." Todoroki said. "Hang on, we need to remember that the forest is full of all sorts of stuff that could get us killed." Sero said.

Everyone else started to come up with different ideas, but Bakugo sat in a corner with Kirishima beside him. "Man, how are we going to do this?" The red-head asked scratching his head. The ash-blonde looks over at Ochako, sitting in a corner with puffy, red eyes after crying for so long. Kirishima saw what he was looking at and lays a hand on his shoulder.

"What?" Bakugou growled. "This must be hard on her. She already has one best friend missing now one more has disappeared. I know you don't say it, but I think you really care for us." Kirishima states. Bakugo grit his teeth and glares at him, "You don't know what you're talking about Weird Hair!!" He exclaims. But the red, spiky-haired boy just smiled. He got up and started to walk off to join the others but looks back and smiles at Bakugou then keeps walking.

Once Kirishima was a good distance away, Bakugo looks over at Ochako and thinks back to what Kirishima said. He never ever will admit it, but this group had really left an print on him. "Stupid Deku, Stupid Round Face, Stupid Weird Hair!" He yells in his mind.

Time Skip(A few hours later: with Deku)

After eating and playing a bit more, Deku and Jayori left Marsen's home and was walking through the Hidden Village. The two were walking side by side and neither felt any awkward tension, just enjoying the other's company. Deku takes a deep breathe of the fresh air and enjoys the sun beaming down on him.

He then feels a nudge on his cheek. He looks to find Jayori with a smile on her face. "Uh, yes?" He answered. Jayori didn't respond and pokes his cheek again. The two continue walking, but Deku is confused and blushes a bit. When Jayori stops, Deku stops as well. The tiger girl kept looking at him with her sapphire-blue eyes. Before Deku can say anything he feels two hands clasped his face. "Whaaa?!" This startles the boy.

Jayori leans forward and Deku's face becomes more and more red. He was stuttering a lot. He feels the half-blood's thumbs rub his cheeks, being careful with her claws. Deku was about to pass out, but the girl in front of him removes her hands and places them at her sides.

The messy-haired boy didn't have a single idea as to what happened. After a few moments of calming himself, he asked Jayori, "Wh-what was th-that a-about?" The half-blood giggles and Deku became more confused. "I just couldn't resist your freckles." Jayori says, "Your face is just too adorable!" She adds with a flashy, closed-eyed, smile.

Deku felt like passing out. This person in front of him was so cool and so cute. He felt his heat beat so fast and strong that he wanted to hug her. But he regained his composure and smiles at her. "Your adorable too. And really strong too!" Jayori smiles back with her fangs shining.

The two were about to resume their walk when, "Midoriya?" Deku froze. He knew that voice. He slowly turned in the direction he heard that voice and sure enough there they were. Tsuyu Asuii. She was right there a few feet in front of him. Whatever words the boy was about to say just got stuck in his throat.

Jayori looks at the girl, her appearance was something that caught her eye. She had slightly larger hands, and a face that resembles a frog. Before Deku could regain his composure, the half-blood walked up to her. The poor boy didn't know what to do and seeing his friend approach his other friend is making him think of different scenarios, freezing on the spot.

Jayori finally approach Tsuyu and looks down at her. Tsuyu was nervous of the being in front of her but remained calm and waited. The half-spirit crosses her arms and her tail swishes a bit. After what felt like hours, Jayori breaks the silence, "So, you must be one of Izuku's friends!" She squeals and hugs Tsuyu. The frog girl was surprised but obliged and hugs back.

This snapped Deku out of his thoughts and looks at the scene he's witnessing. He walks over to them and Jayori lets the shorter female go. Deku looks at Tsu. He scratches his head and looks away, unsure how to respond as to how she got here. But he feels a hand on his shoulder and looks over to find Jayori smiling at him.

He smiles back and looks at the frog girl, "H-Hi." He said, trying to take things slow. Tsuyu smiles back, but Deku saw tears threatening to fall but she kept strong, "Hey Midoriya." She responds. The two friends didn't say anything, but it was a decent silence.

"So? Mind introducing me Izu?" Deku jumped and looks over to find Jayori patiently waiting with her tail wagging slowly. "Oh! Uh, Asuii this is Jayori Cocora and Jayori this is-" "Tsuyu Asuii." The dark green haired girl interrupts him. Jayori looks to her and smiles, "Well nice to meet you. And I have to say I've only ever heard of frogman living in swamps and other damp places." She said.

Deku was surprised by her statement. But when he looks at Tsu again, even if he's known her for a long time he couldn't argue that she didn't look like a frog. "Yeah, but it's not easy now a days. I do enjoy rainy days though." He looks over and sees the two girls talking. But he has a question to ask, "Asuii, how did you find this place?"

The frogman looks at the broccoli-haired boy, "I think the more appropriate question is, how did 'we' find you?" She answers. "We?" Deku and Jayori say at the same time. "Indeed." The two look and see a skinny, blonde man approach them. Deku was frozen earlier, now he felt like he was going to faint.

Jayori looks at the man and tilts her head, "Let me guess, another person Izuku knows?" She asks. The man nods his head, "You could say that." He smiles and looks over at Deku, "Nice to see you, Young Midoriya."

Jayori stands next to Tsuyu and looks at her, the shorter female looks up at her as well, "Do you two want to head back to my place and make some tea along with some explaining?" She asks. The frog girl smiles, "Sure. Although it might be a while. Midoriya isn't moving for a bit." She says.

The tiger girl stretches her arms and looks to Tsu, "I can carry him." She says with a smirk. "I think you'll have to." The frogman agrees. The two look at the skinny male, "And I'm Toshinori Yagi or All Might as most people call me." Jayori smiles and walks in front Deku, her back facing him and bends down, "Well," She grabs Deku's thighs and lifts him on her back, "I'm Jayori Cocora, nice to meet you All Might." With that, she leads them and out of the village and to her cave.
