Ring-pop eraserjoke

Ok, I know it's been a good while since I last updated, but I kinda just lost interest in My hero for a while, and I didn't have many ideas. Here I am now, finally. (Also, go read my giyushino oneshots if you want some more of my better writing)

In this AU let's pretend that Eri and Shinsou have been adopted by Eraserhead, K?
..................................................................

The Aizawa household had been expecting a new member for a year or two now. Eri had grown so much in this time and Shinsou was now a 3rd year. Life seemed to be going well for Shota and Emi, too. The two had began dating a couple of years ago when Aizawa finally admitted his feelings and let Joke have him.

Now, he was looking down at the ring in the jewelry shop. It was simple, yet beautiful. The ring was beautiful, with small, silver carvings on the sides and a diamond in the center.

The man had been agonizing over this decicion for a week now. He thought that maybe she wouldn't want this after all, or maybe the kids wouldn't take it well. But when he looked at her face he couldn't be more sure. He wanted to marry her.

-Thank you, come again." The woman on the register called after him as he left with the ring in hand. It was a chilly, late autumn afternoon, Aizawa breathed out and saw his breath in the air for a second until it dissapiared.

.

-I'm home!" He called out as he got home and hung his coat up. He heard a faint meow and the sound of small paw steps on the hardwood floor coming towards him. It was a long haired, black cat with brown eyes and an orange bandana. Shinsou had begged him to buy her when they saw her. And though he had said no at first, Eri's puppy eyes along with Shinsou showing the cat to him forced him to surrender. They had ended up naming the cat Raven, because of her pelt.

Aizawa set down the bag that held the ring box isnside and scooped up the kitten. He smiled and scratched her chin before putting her back on the cat tree that was set next to the wall in the livingroom.

.

Aizawa was making dinner in the kitchen when he heard the door open. Eri's voice rang out:

-Papa, I'm home!" The girl announced cheerfully. The girl had started school when she finally got the hang of her quirk, now, she loved going.

-Did you have a good day?" Aizawa asked her when she took off her shoes and sat down at the kitchen table.

-Yup, we got our history tests back, too!" She answered and held out the paper with both her hands, presenting it to Aizawa with pride.

-B+ huh? That's great, I'm proud of you." Aizawa nodded and smiled at how Eri's eyes lit up at his praise.

-What's in there?" The girl asked, spotting the ring bag. Aizawa scratched his cheek before answering.

-It's a ring. I'm going to propose to Emi tonight." He said. Eri's smile grew wider and it looked like she could barely contain her excitement.

-Really?! She's becoming my mom for real?" Eri asked, her voice full of happines.

-She has to say yes first." Aizawa reminded her. Eri giggled.

-There is no way she'll say no." She said confidently. Aizawa shook his head but smiled none the less.

-Can I see it?" She suddenly asked. Aizawa gestured to the bag with his head in approval and Eri went to get it. The bag was on a table in the livingroom, just out of his sight.

-It's so pretty!" She exclaimed as she held the ring in her hands.

-Yes, but be careful, it was very expensive." He warned her.

-I will papa." She promised and sat down on the carpet. Raven walked up to her and sniffed the ring, her eyes gleaming.

.

After another 20 minutes had passed, Aizawa was done with dinner, he went to the livingroom to call Eri.

-Eri, dinners ready, come on."

-Ok!" She hurried to the kitchen, but in doing so, she forgot to put the ring back in to the box.

-When is Shinsou coming home?" Eri asked once she was seated in her chair.

-He had some extra training to do, so he won't be coming home till later at night." Aizawa answerd. He was proud of him for working hard, but he knew that over doing it would only hurt him.

.

After dinner, Aizawa went to take a shower. Then Eri remembered the ring. She got out of the seat and put her dishes away before sprinting to the livingroom to find the ring box empty. Her heart stopped for a beat, this was not good.

-What am I going to do?" She asked herself out loud. She started looking around the house for the ring, but she couldn't find it. What was she going to tell her dad? Then... She got an idea. She ran to her room and looked in her drawer that had ring pops in them. In a desperate moment, she took a blue raspberry one and opened it. This would have to do.

She replaced the ring with a ring-pop. Luckily, the candy just fit in to the box, all Eri could do was pray it went well.

.

That evening, Aizawa got in clean clothes and brushed his hair, tying it up in a ponytail. The shower helped ease his nerves a little. Now, it was time to get Emi.

He got the box with the ring and headed out the door, taking one last look at himself in the mirror.

.

-My, my, Shota. You look dashing as always." Emi said when she saw Aizawa pull up in a car in front of her house.

-You look lovely, Emi." He returned the compliment. The woman blushed and got in to the passenger seat of the car, her dress was beautiful, sea green and reached a little over her knees. Aizawa thought she looked stunning, but he wouldn't be caught dead saying something corny like that.

.

The two arrived at a nice, family restaurant on the outskirts of the city. It was a nice place to dine. Good food, mood lighting, and quiet enough for Aizawa.

Aizawa led Emi to a table he had reserved by the window looking to a small garden. The soft music playing over the speakers was perfect and set the tone nicely.

-What would you like to order?" The waiter asked the two. Aizawa glanced at the menu.

-I'll have a chicken risotto with red wine, thank you." Aizawa answerd politely. Emi smiled at the waiter.

-I'll have the same as him." She informed them. The waiter scribbled down the order on a small notebook and smiled.

-Great, it will be done in a moment."

.

The two shared comfortable Smalltalk while eating. The talk was mostly about hero work and Emi making little jokes. Aizawa told Emi about Eri's history test.

-She's a smart kid." The woman smiled and Aizawa noded in agreement.

-She will go far, she's already almost smarter than I am." He said. Emi chuckled.

-She sure is." She teased him. Aizawa rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile. The time to propose was nearing. The restaurant was quiet, no costumers on a week night in such a small place. The staff was all busy in the kitchen. So, Aizawa cleared his throat and pulled the ring out of his pocket to set it on his lap.

-Emi, I will admit that I'm not the best with words, and, I apreaciate you for seeing something in me enough for you to want to date me." Emi raised her eyebrows, curious as to what Aizawa would say next.

-What I'm trying to say is.." Aizawa reached down and took the ring box in his hand, setting it down on the table and opening it while saying:

-Will you marry me?" He looked straight in to her eyes. Emi looked down to the box. She looked like she was holding in her laugh and Aizawa panicked for a moment.

-Pfft- I didn't know you had it in you, Shota." She said finally, she giggled, still staring down at the ring. Aizawa looked down to see the ring-pop. Aizawa was puzzled, how did a ring-pop suddenly appear instead of his ring.

-T-this isn't-" he couldn't finish his sentence before Emi stopped laughing and smiled at him sweetly.

-I will." She said simply. Aizawa was shocked. Shouldn't she be mad? He would be mad if someone tried to propose to him with a candy ring.

-But, it's a ring-pop." He said. Emi nodded.

-That it is." She agreed, smirking at her boyfriend/fiancé's face.

-But.."

-Shota, I would be happy with any ring as long as it's from you. I don't need an expensive ring to know how much you love me, ok?" She said, fondness was evident in her voice, it was like honey to Aizawa.

-...Ok." he finally agreed.

-Now, kiss me." She demanded. Aizawa chuckled, the moment now gone. But he complied anyway, reaching over the small table to give Emi a short kiss.

.

-I-Im sorry.."  Eri sniffed. She standing in front of Aizawa and Emi.

-It's ok, I'm not mad." Aizawa assured her. Eri nodded slowly, still feeling bad.

-Still, I wonder where the ring went." Emi thought out loud.

-Well, maybe it will turn up some day." Aizawa said, shrugging.

Unbeknownst to the humans, a little black cat with brown eyes and an orange bandana, was napping in her cat tree, with a diamond ring next to her.
