In a limo on the road

Bruce Wayne and Izuku were both riding in a limo with Izuku dressed in jeans and an unbuttoned shirt and T-shirt and Bruce wearing his usual dress pants and nice black shirt and black jacket. (You know what he usually wears in Batman Beyond). Right now, they were talking while on their way to someone's home.

Izuku: So, is there anything I should be prepared for or what?

Bruce: What is it you think you should be expecting.

Izuku: I don't know? Probably some really rich snobs who you need to play nice with so they can invest in Wayne industries.

Bruce: One thing you should keep in mind not only as Batman but in life as well. Don't judge someone just from small facts and first appearances. Not everything is what it seems like and you need to expect the unexpected.

Izuku: Yeah, I guess.

Izuku just rolled his eyes though and looked out the window not really taking Bruce seriously.

Bruce: Anyways I need you on your best behavior. The Yaoyorozu's are a very big name in Japan and it would be a very big lost if we don't get them invested in Wayne industries.

Izuku: When am I not on my best behavior?

Bruce: I'm just saying this is a big deal. So, try to be formal and not make things complicated.

Izuku: How could I make things complicated?

Bruce: *sigh* ...... In our line of work. It some how ALWAYS gets complicated.

Izuku: I guess you have a point there.

The driver then rolled the window down.

Driver: Were here.

The driver then started to pull into the driveway. Izuku looked outside and saw that they were going into a giant mansion. He wasn't surprised that they had a mansion. He was surprised that he finally gets to see a mansion let alone be invited into one and walk inside one. Izuku got out and opened the door for Bruce and they started to make their way inside of the mansion.

Inside the mansion

Izuku and Bruce were both escorted to a giant living room area where they sat down and waited for their investors. After a few minutes of waiting their wait was finally over as Mr. and Ms. Yaoyorozu's both came in.

Mr. Yaoyorozu: Mr. Wayne it's nice to see your around.

Ms. Yaoyorozu: Were sorry to make you wait.

Bruce: It's fine. I didn't wait to long. It's nice to finally meet both of you in person. We've only ever talked on the phone or emailed, and I apologize for that.

Mr. Yaoyorozu: It's fine. After all it would be difficult to make an appearance when you spend most your time in America at Gotham.

Ms. Yaoyorozu then put the attention on Izuku putting a hand out to Izuku.

Ms. Yaoyorozu: And who might this young man be?

Izuku took her hand gently and shook it.

Izuku: I'm Izuku Midoryia. It's nice to meet you both in your really big house.

They just laughed at his humor (and lack of experience in a mansion).

Bruce: Midoryia is my assistant. He helps me with the "small things".

Izuku: Basically, his errand boy when he needs something hehe.

Once again, they laughed at his small talk humor.

Mr. Yaoyorozu: Well it's nice to meet you Mr. Midoryia.

Ms. Yaoyorozu face then lit up and she hugged her husbands' arm.

Ms. Yaoyorozu: OH, how about Izuku hangs out with our daughter as you and Mr. Wayne talk business. I'm sure he doesn't want to be bored listening you two babble.

Izukus head: Oh no. I'm terrible with girls. Not to mention she is really rich, so she is probably going to be spoiled and brat- *Mentally slaps self-* NO that's not a nice way to think of someone you haven't met. Just keep an open mind Midoryia.

Izuku: Well if it's alright with Mr. Wayne?

Bruce: It is.

Bruce then whispered to Izuku.

Bruce: Don't you dare make things complicated.

Izukus head: What is he so worried about?

Ms. Yaoyorozu then called for her daughter.

Izukus head: I'm not going to make things-

Izukus head: Complllliiiiccaaa-wow.

Then her daughter walked in and his heart went BOOM.

Ms. Yaoyorozu: This is our daughter Momo.

Momo then put a hand out to Izuku.

Momo: Hi it's nice to meet you.

Izuku took her hand and had a red blushing face of which for some reason only Bruce could notice.

Izuku: Uh h-hi my name is Izuku. I-It's super nice to meet you.

Bruce head: Dammit Izuku I said to NOT make things complicated.

Momo: Well how about I show you around the mansion then.

Izuku: O-Ok sure.

They then left as the adults talked business. With Bruce silently and mentally cursing Izuku for being a teenager.

With Izuku and Momo

Izuku was just following Momo around as she just showed him places and rooms all around the house.

Momo: Anndd that's the theater room, the indoor swimming pool a little farther down, theirs a casino room over by the game room.

Izuku: Wow your home is huge. Me and mom's apartment has 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen.

Momo: Oh, so you're not rich?

Izuku just rubbed the back of his head.

Izuku: Were comfortable hehe.

Momo just looked down though a bit sadden. She just rubbed the side of her arm shyly.

Momo: S-Sorry. You probably think of me differently because of my parent's wealth.

Izuku just shook his head no though fast.

Izuku: NO NO NO. I mean I wont lie and say I was expecting a spoiled bratty girl but-

He then finished his sentence slower and quieter suddenly getting a bit shy and embarrassed.

Izuku: -y-you seem pretty nice and cool. In my book at least hehe um uh yeah.

Momo had a bit of a blush from hearing that and just tucked some hair behind her ear while saying.

Momo: Oh th-thank you. That's really sweet of you to say.

She then tried to change the topic by going back into the tour.

Momo: A-Anyways my father's office is up here soon. But were not allowed in their so let's just keep moving-

They then both heard a crash of something. It came from Momo father's office. Momo was startled by it but Izuku went into full on Batman mode though being prepared for a burglar or something worse.

Izuku: Momo get behind me.

Momo: What?

Izuku: NOW!

Izuku then got in front of Momo and got into a fighting position. He then head into the office cautiously. He quickly turned the light on when he saw a small figure move around. Right when he was about to attack though he stopped realizing it was just a little kid with short black hair with the same eyes as Momo.

Izuku: Huh? A kid?

Momo saw the boy from behind Izuku and immediately grew a frown.

Momo: LEWIS YAOYOROZU. What has father said time and time again?

The boy just pouted while he talked.

Lewis: To not play in his office.

Momo: And what are you doing?

Lewis: Playing in his office.

Momo: Why?

Lewis: W-Well dad said he was doing business stuff. So, I thought id just wait in his office so I could see him right away and ask him if he could help me with my quirk or hang out with me before he made more plans.

Momo just grew a guilty face and sighed.

Momo: *sigh* Father is talking with someone right now. He can't hang out because he will be busy afterwards.

Lewis just looked down though sad. He started to walk out of the office with his head down.

Lewis: Ok...... I'll just go to my room.

Momo: Hey cheer up. I'm sure father will find time with you after he is done with work.

Lewis: *sigh* You said that last week too. He still hasn't even come into my room.

Momo just felt pity and a sharp pain pierce her heart called guilt as she watched her little brother just walk away with his head held low. Izuku could only feel pity as well and tried to comfort Momo.

Izuku: Hey it's not your fault. It can't be helped right?

Momo: That's what I like to tell myself but even I'm starting to wish that my father would just take an hour or 2 and just to spend time with him. -

Momo then just hugged herself though and continued.

Momo: -But at the same time though fathers work is important. Plus, with all these new clients he's been gathering he needs to work more now than ever. *sigh* I just feel bad for Lewis because its not fair to him.

Izuku then put a hand on her shoulder and got closer to her.

Izuku: You're a good sister you know. Your trying to give him some attention when he needs it. What else can you do?

Momo just smiled.

Momo: Thank you Izuku-

She then hugged him and Izuku immediately tensed up not expecting it.

Momo: -You're a really nice guy.

She then let go and Izuku just rubbed the back of his head.

Izuku: Hehe w-well I try to be.

Momo then started to keep on walking. Izuku though was curious about some things.

Izuku: I heard before that Lewis said he wanted to train his quirk. What is it if you don't mind me asking?

Momo: Oh, not at all. It's actually a really incredible quirk called blueprint. He can make a blueprint right in front of him of literally anything measurements and all. It's sort of like an intelligence boosting quirk.

Izuku: That's amazing.

Momo: Hehe yeah it does have its drawbacks though. If he uses it to much, he gets dizzy, sleepy, and even headaches.

Izuku: Well if you don't mind me asking what's your quirk?

Momo: Oh, it's called creation.

Momo then demonstrated by making a rubix cube come out of her hand.

Momo: I can change the atoms from my fat and lipids into what ever I want. Except organic things. However, I have to know the atomic structure of the object I'm making.

Izuku: WOW REALLY?! That's incredible! You could go to U.A. with a quirk like that.

Momo: *chuckle* Well that's the plan yeah.

Izuku: Wait... sooo... your planning on going to U.A.?

Momo: Of course, ...... I......I want to be a hero. So, I can help people.

Momo then asked "the" question.

Momo: So, can I ask what's your quirk?

Izuku just stopped in his tracks. He kind of figured this question would come up when he was the first to ask about their family's quirks. The question still gives him anxiety though.

Izuku: Well...... uh. I'm.....................I'm actually quirk less.

Momo had wide eyes about that.

Momo: Quirk less?

Izuku: It's rare but it still happens. 80% of the population has quirks and the other 20% doesn't. I'm just part of the unlucky 20%.

Momo: Oh......... I'm sorry for asking.

Izuku: No, it's fine really. I was the one who brought it up first.

Izuku then started to remember everything that happened to him. Being diagnosed quirk less. All Might telling him he can't become a hero without a quirk. Even worse............ his father's death. Maybe if he had a quirk, he could have stopped the sludge villain from killing his dad. He just shook that question off quickly though because it wasn't the right one. Maybe if he didn't blow off grocery shopping and act like a terrible son.........he would still be here.

Izukus head: I can't take back what happened. But I can make up for it. That's what I've been doing as Batman. Quirk or no quirk.

1 hour later

It was finally time as Bruce and Momo's dad finished up their talk about business. Bruce was at the front door of the mansion and Izuku and Momo were making their way down to them.

Momo: So, will I be expecting to see you at U.A.?

Izuku: Didn't you hear me say I was quirk less? There's no way I have a chance there.

Momo: Well that's unfortunate.

They then finally made it to the door.

Momo: I was kind of hoping to see you at U.A.-

Then suddenly on impulse Izuku said.

Izuku:-I'LLBETHERE.

Bruce just mentally face palmed himself. Momo just smiled though and waved goodbye as they were leaving.

Momo: Goodbye Izuku. It was nice meeting you. I hope I'll see you at U.A. or sooner.

Izuku just waved goodbye with a goofy smile like an idiot walking backwards almost falling down the steps like an idiot making her giggle. Izuku and Bruce were then just walking back to the limo car.

Bruce: I thought I said not to make things complicated.

Izuku: I mean it doesn't have to be complicated.

Bruce: You think relationships aren't complicated? If so then one you obviously never had one and two must be an idiot if you think it won't be complicated.

Izuku: I uh well...... ok your only right about one of those things.

Bruce: Izuku-

He then got super serious in his tone. More so than usual.

Bruce: -As Batman you have responsibilities that are far more important than a girlfriend. Those responsibilities can even get her or any one you love in danger. Try not to let Batman's world and their world collide. It never leads to anything good.

Izuku just stayed silent thinking about what he said the whole way back.

Later at night in the city

Izuku was in his Batman costume patrolling the city flying in the Batmobile. It's been a pretty uneventful night.

Batman: I think I might call it a night. City seems pretty safe.

Bruce com: Just because you need sleep doesn't mean the city does.

Batman: Oh, c'mon man I have a test in math 1st block tomorrow.

Bruce com: *sigh* Teenagers.

However right when he said that an alarm in the Batmobile went off.

Bruce com: There's a break in at the homeless shelter.

Batman: Really? *sigh* Alright on my way.

He then sped up flying faster.

A little earlier tonight at the homeless shelter

A man in casual clothes was in his office. He was just doing office work minding his own business. He then heard a knock on the door.

Guy: Come back tomorrow. Office is closed for tonight.

Instead though the door just opened right up. Then came in a man wearing a short cloak and all black rags around his face.

Guy: Hey didn't you hear what I said.

The man's voice was disguised and a bit robotic and staticish. (Like Arkam nights voice disguiser)

???: Oh, I heard-

The mysterious man then turned around and crushed the door handle making it locked.

???: -I just don't care.

Guy: Hey what's the big idea? Who do you think you are?

The mysterious man then grabbed him by the shirt with one hand and pulled him over the desk and up in the air.

???: Payback.

He then threw the guy out a window breaking it. He rolled and tumbled a bit still into the more public area of the shelter. There was a homeless woman there who was shaking in fear. She was sitting up on a sleeping bag laid out on the floor. The now proclaimed "Payback" jumped through the window and walked to the homeless lady. She shook in fear afraid of getting hurt.

Homeless woman: P-Please don't hurt me.

Instead of Payback harming her though he put a hand up assuring good intentions.

Payback: Don't worry I'm not here to hurt you.

The lady just looked at him confused.

Payback: Just stay here. You'll be safe.

He then started to walk towards the guy from before who was up and moving already trying to get away. Payback then grabbed something from the cloak covering his body. It was a teched out metal bar. He pressed a button on it and out came a laser whip. The guy then grabbed a wooden chair and tried throwing it at Payback only for him to use the laser whip to cut the chair in half.

Guy: W-Why are you doing this?

Payback: Because you have been hiding and stealing money that was supposed to be used for the homeless.

Guy: SERIOUSLY?! Your doing all of this because of a bunch of nobodies with nothing better to do except sleep in the street and accept free food?

Payback then used the whip again slashing a desk in half that the guy was leaning on for cover.

Payback: If they would have had that money to buy better clothes or more financial support. They could have finally found jobs to make their own money.

Guy: Please have mercy!

Payback: Not for a crooked thief like you.

Before he could attack again Batman crashed through a sky window and into the building. He then clinged onto the side of the wall using the claws on his suit.

Payback: Batman? So, you are real.

Batman: Payback I presume? I've heard about you. You've been busy the past week, haven't you?

Payback: Yeah. I'm your new ally.

Batman: Ally? What are you talking about?

Payback: Yeah.... I do the same thing you do. Take out the people who need to be taken out.

Batman: What you and I do are nothing alike.

Payback then saw how the guy was making a run for it.

Payback: He has stolen money from homeless people so the Yaoyorozu's corporation would keep funding this shelter JUST so he could steal more money. He DESERVES THIS!

He then tried attacking again using the whip to strike the guy but Izuku quickly used his rocket boots to tackle into Payback knocking him into a wall cracking it.

Batman: Except that I don't kill. Besides do you have any proof. Where did you get your info from?

Payback: SHUT UP. I have sources inside the Yaoyorozu corporations itself. HE'S GUILTY AND DESERVES THIS.

Payback then quickly swiped his hand swatting Izuku away and into vending machine breaking it.

Izukus head: He's really strong.

Payback: If you're not with me. Then you're against me.

He then tried to whip the laser whip at Batman. He ran away from the whip with it slicing everything it touched into pieces from vases, wood, cement, and even metal. The guy from before though almost made it out the door. So, Payback quickly used his whip again launching it at the top of the door cutting completely through the wall. Outside and above the door a giant sign was hanging, and the laser quickly cut it. Just as the guy was about to get crushed Izuku used the rocket boots to boost himself into the air and tackle the man out of the way and outside with the sign crashing down into the ground hard and fast. He was about to head back in and fight, but he started hearing cop sirens which meant he needs to get out of there. So, he left.

Later in the Batcave

Izuku was walking to Bruce who was sitting at the bat computer. He pulled his mask off but still had the Bat suit on.

Bruce: You let him get away.

Izuku: I had to save the guy he was trying to kill. I couldn't do that and stop Payback.

Bruce: Then find a way to do both.

Izuku just face palmed his head dragging his hand across his face with frustration. Bruce expects a lot out of Izuku, and he finds it a bit frustrating at times. Especially since Bruce was Batman and probably could have stopped Payback, saved the guy, and all without the fancy teched out suit and gadgets.

Bruce: So, I seem to have found a connection between Payback and all his attacks.

Bruce then hit a button on his computer, and it showed Paybacks attacks and who he was after or where he was.

Bruce: All of Paybacks attacks are somehow linked to the Yaoyorozu corporation.

Izuku was surprised by that.

Izuku: Really? That is some coincidence.

Bruce: *sigh* Like I told you before. It can get complicated in this line of work.

Izuku then started to focus on the computer thinking out loud.

Izuku: It's safe to assume that Payback is someone at the Yaoyorozu corporation. He even said he had sources inside there. Plus, the Yaoyorozu corporation doesn't have any public access to data libraries he would need to find his targets. Which narrows our suspects to people who work their?

Bruce: That's a big list of suspects.

Izuku: Nope. Because all of Paybacks attacks required highly confidential info. Which only so many people get.

Bruce: I see your learning. By the way did you have any idea what his quirk might be. If we could find that out, we could know exactly who Payback is.

Izuku: I don't know. I originally thought it was the laser whip but that's obviously a device and not a quirk. However, he was super strong. He swatted me away like a fly across the room.

Bruce: That doesn't narrow the list down at all.

Izuku: Actually, I think I might know who it is.

Izuku then started to type on the Bat computer pulling up a profile.

Izuku: His name is Randy Houser. He is a board member of the Yaoyorozu corporation. So, he has access to the info Payback would need. Plus, he has a track record of taking things into his own hands. Last month he got arrested for aggressive assault at a bar because of some guys picking on a bartender girl. His quirk is also an enhancer type. He can consume milk and harden his bones. Slight abnormal strength comes with the quirk. The effects can last up to 1 hour and the durability of his bones depend on the consumption of milk from how much to what type.

Bruce: But what about a motive?

Izuku: I'm just going on a gut instinct here. After all you tell me to trust my gut all the time.

Bruce was hesitant but still listened.

Bruce: Ok so what do you do now?

Izuku: Find out where he lives. Investigate his house and see what I can find. *sigh* What bugs though is that there isn't any online data of his where abouts. Being a big wealthy figure, he has no home listed anywhere public on the web.

Bruce: You know...... people did actually do detective work before the internet right?

The next night

After Izuku did A LOT of sneaking around the Yaoyorozu corporation invisible in cloak mode looking through paper files of all the employees he finally found Randy Houser file. It said he lived in an apartment building in the city. Right now, Izuku was flying/ gliding around the city heading over to Randy Houser.

Bruce com: Midoryia I'm still not sure about this.

Izuku was still gliding through the air while talking.

Batman: Oh, c'mon Bruce it has to be him. He has a quirk that fits his fighting style and has access to the same Info Payback would need.

Bruce com: But what about a motive? Why would he even risk being a vigilante in the first place. Not to mention it seems like Payback might have more anterior motives than just "justice and vengeance".

Batman: What have you told me to always do. Trust my gut.

Bruce com: You still need to consider the facts though.

Izuku then stopped gliding and finally made it to the apartment. It was a nice penthouse with windows everywhere. Randy right now was in his gym working out hitting a punching bag.

Batman: I'll talk later. I'm heading into Houser's house now.

Bruce com: Be careful.

Batman: Always am.

Izuku then landed on a skylight window. He then used his claws on the suit to cut a large circle out and grabbed the piece of glass from falling and shattering. He then turned invisible and jumped down into the house. He then started to look around the house trying to find any connection between him and Payback. After some sneaking around he hasn't found anything to link him and Payback together.

Batman: Damn I can't find anything.

Bruce com: Maybe there isn't anything to find.

When Izuku was sneaking around though he accidentally set off a motion sensor. Quickly the security system in the house activated and detected him in cloak mode. So, a turret behind a painting turned on and shot a bag of orange powder at Izuku making him visible.

Batman: I've been made.

Bruce com: I told you to be careful.

It wasn't long before when Randy came running in to the room Izuku was in. He had a bottle of milk in his hand.

Randy: Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house?!

Izuku quickly got into a fighting position.

Batman: It's over. I know it's you.... Payback.

Randy just started drinking the milk chugging it fast and started walking towards Izuku.

Randy: I don't know who the hell payback is. But I'm gonna make sure you learn to never step into my home again.

5 minutes later

Izuku was literally thrown into the gym room with giant glass windows as the walls all around. The hinges on the door were literally knocked off from Izukus body. His body slid on the ground hitting some weight lifting equipment.

Batman: *groan* He's definitely just as strong as Payback.

Randy then continued to walk up to Izuku ready to give out some more punishment. Izuku quickly though threw a flash bomb at him blinding his vision. Izuku then got up and grabbed a metal pole used for weight lifting. He then swung it at Randy only for the pole to bend on contact.

Randy: That tickled.

Izukus head: Oh right. His quirk makes his bone and muscles stronger from drinking milk.

Randy then grabbed Izuku by the face holding him up. Izuku was grabbing onto his arm trying to pry his face out from his grip but even with the suit strength enhancements its not enough. So, he then grabs some pills from his utility belt. He kicks Randy in the gut making him wheeze out in pain opening his mouth. He then shoved the pills down his throat making him swallow them. Randy then let go of Izukus face stumbling on the ground but not before kicking him away and on the ground.

Randy: Your going to regret ever coming into my home you hear me.

Randy then grabbed a punching bag breaking the chain connecting it to the roof. He held it up in the air ready to throw and crush Izuku with it. Suddenly though his stomach begins to growl and cry out in pain making him drop the punching bag.

Randy: GAH *groan* What did you do to me?

Batman: What's wrong? Stomach ache?

Suddenly Randy vomited getting all the milk out of his system making him normal again. He was laying flat on his back in defeat. Izuku then went up to him and grabbed him by his shirt interrogating him.

Batman: Now tell me why you've been going out as Payback. What is it your really after because I know it isn't justice?

Bruce com: MIDORYIA It's obviously not him.

Batman: But he has the right quirk and access to the information payback would need. It has to be him.

Bruce com: Then explain this.

Bruce then turned on a radio in his cowl's com link system.

News radio: It appears that Payback has strike again. This time taking out a CEO of Maxhill (random company I made up). While he isn't dead, he won't be waking up for a while and is suffering major bleeding and concussions.

Izuku was wide eyed at what he was hearing. Because if Randy was dishing it out with Izuku the whole time. Then that proves he isn't Payback. Which means the real Payback is still out there.

In the Batcave 1 hour later

Bruce was tending to Izukus bruises and injuries from his fight with Randy. Izuku was shirtless but still had the Bat suit pants and utility belt on. Right now, Bruce was wrapping bandages around Izukus head.

Bruce: What happened tonight was unacceptable!

Izuku: I'm sorry I thought it was him for sure my gut was telling me it was him.

Bruce then tightened the bandages on purpose hurting Izuku.

Izuku: OW!

Bruce: You harmed an innocent man tonight. Under no circumstances is that ok and will EVER happen again.

Izuku: But Bruce you were the one who said I needed to trust my gut.

Bruce: YOUR GUT is not yet ready to make good decisions. So, from now on until I say so otherwise, we go with my gut and do it my way. UNDERSTAND?!

Izuku: *sigh*...... Yes sir.

Bruce was finished with fixing him up. He then started to walk over to the Bat computer and Izuku followed him.

Bruce: Now that we crossed off Randy, we need to start crossing off any other suspects.

Izuku: How long will that take though? I mean before Payback decides to strike again.

Bruce: Too long. We got lucky this time that he didn't kill someone or any of the other times. We need to find a way to draw him out and catch him.

He then pressed a key on the computer showing a digital poster ad for a fundraiser for U.A.

Bruce: There's going to be a fundraiser for U.A. at the new hotel grand opening. I'm going to make an appearance and be bait for Payback.

Izuku: Wait are you serious? How are you going to protect yourself?

Izukus head: I know he used to be batman, but he isn't exactly in his prime.

Bruce: That's where you'll come in. I want you undercover as my assistant as usual. Once Payback shows up you need to suit up and take him down fast. The faster he is taken down the less casualties and collateral damage we can avoid.

Izuku: How do you know Payback is going to show up?

Bruce: All of Paybacks targets were people who are causing problems for the Yaoyorozu corporation. That's why I made sure to bribe Mr. Yaoyorozu into coming by threatening to decline our deal if he doesn't show up.

Izuku: Ok.......... guess I'll find a suit and tie.

The night of the U.A. fund raiser

Bruce was pulling in and onto the red carpet for the fundraiser. The fund raiser it self was being held at a hotel building. Once the limo stop Izuku got out and opened the door for Bruce. They then started to walk inside with reporters and photographers taking pictures of them. Everyone was dressed nicely including Izuku sporting a black suit and tie/ white button up shirt.

Bruce: Are you ready to suit up when he shows?

Izuku: Yeah, I'll be ready. I'm wearing the suit under-

Before he can say anything though a familiar and heart-warming voice was heard from behind Izuku that made his face blush a little.

Momo: Izuku!

Izukus head: SHIT SHES BEAUTIFUL.

Momo: It's good to see you. I wasn't expecting to see you here.

Izuku: Oh well uh where ever Mr. Wayne goes I usually have to follow hehe.

Momo then bowed and greeted Bruce.

Momo: It's good to see you to Mr. Wayne.

Bruce: Thank you Ms. Yaoyorozu. Say where is your father? I was hoping to talk to him tonight at the fundraiser.

Momo: OH, my father isn't here yet. He said he had to take care of some "loose ends". So, it's just me and my mom right now.

Izuku felt something a little of by that.

Izukus head: Loose ends? What did he mean by that? ............ Wait

Momo: What was it specifically that you wanted to talk to my father about.

Bruce: Just some small things about our deal. Maybe even setting up another appointment.

Izukus head: Momo's dad has access to all the Info Payback would need to choose his targets. Is it possible that Momo's dad is Payback?

While Bruce and Momo small talk Izuku continued on with his theory in his head.

Izukus head: That doesn't make sense though. Why would he risk being a vigilante and doing something illegal....... Except that it does make sense. If it is Momo's dad, then that means he has been taking down people who would cause his company problems that would cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Before he could continue on though he was brought back to reality by Momo wrapping her arm around his and pulling it away.

Izukus head: Huh?

Momo: Hey is it alright if I borrow Izuku for a minute.

Bruce just gave Izuku a look that only he could really see and understand. Which was basically "I told you it would get complicated. Don't screw around to much and focus on the mission at hand".

Bruce: Sure. Just make sure he gets back to me soon. I'm gonna head up stairs soon.

Momo: Will do.

Momo then started to drag Izuku away as he was freaking out, she was holding his arm.

Izuku: Uhh w-where are we going Momo?

Momo: Well I wanna dance.

Izukus head: DANCE?!

Izuku: d-dance?!

Momo: Well yeah. Why do you not know how?

Izuku: Uhhh hehe not really. Last time I danced was with my mom at a friend's wedding...... and I was like 7.

Momo: It's easy I'll show you how.

Momo then placed Izukus hands around her own waist. She then put her hands around his neck. However, Izuku was still stiff as a stick.

Momo: You really are bad at this huh?

Izuku: Told you hehe.

Momo: You just need to loosen up. Don't feel so nervous ok?

Momo then held onto Izuku closer making Izuku hug Momo closer as well. She then grabbed one of Izukus hands and held it out to the side slowly.

Momo: Good now just take 2 steps to the left.

He then followed her steps with his.

Momo: Now 2 steps to the right and just sway with it.

So, they did just that over and over slow dancing together. With Izuku looking down though trying not to step on her feet. Momo just put a hand on his chin lifting it up making Izukus heart race.

Momo: My eyes are up here you know.

Izuku: S-Sorry I wasn't looking at your um uh-

Momo: Hahahah Izuku I know your looking at my feet. You don't need to though. Slow dancing is about trusting the others movement. I trust you......... Do you trust me?

Izuku was looking into her eyes and was drawn into her. He just couldn't help but feel warm in his heart and like everything was freaking awesome in the world.

Izuku: Yeah...... I trust you.

So, they then just started to conversate with each other while dancing in sink.

Momo: I must say your not like other guys I've hang out with.

Izuku: Oh .... how so?

Momo: Most boys I meet from fathers work acquaintances are their sons. They usually are not the most ......... "gentlemen like".

Izuku: Well I mean I guess I have my mom to thank for that hehe. She always does her best to try and raise a "gentlemen.

She then got closer to Izuku so that her head could rest on his shoulder all while still swaying left to right.

Momo: Well I think she did an amazing job.

Meanwhile with Bruce in the elevator

It's one of those fancy glass window elevators that let you see the floor while going up.

Bruce was just waiting in the elevator as it began to keep going up. It went to a sudden stop though. Bruce never changed his facial expression and stayed calm. The other passengers on the elevator were confused and freaked about by the sudden stop. Suddenly the top of the elevator was being cut open with a laser into the shape of a square. When the cutting stop the top of the elevator was ripped and thrown away. Revealing Payback. He then pointed at Bruce.

Payback: I'm here for him. The rest of you can go.

The elevator door then opened and quickly everyone else left it to get away from the danger.

Payback: Your done with screwing around with the Yaoyorozu corporation. Either help them or stay away from them.

Bruce: Hmm I think I'll do whatever I damn well please. And do business the best way I can. Even if it means dangling a nice deal in front of the Yaoyorozu corporation and making them do tricks like a dog.

Bruce was baiting Payback and it was obviously working.

Payback: You're a mean old man you know that.

Bruce: And what are you?

Payback: Your worst nightmare.

Bruce: You have no idea what my nightmares are like.

Payback then used the laser whip to cut half of the elevator apart letting it fall to the ground.

Back with Izuku and Momo

They were both still enjoying each other dancing but were brought out of it by a sudden commotion.

Random civilian: LOOK OUT!

Izuku with quick reflexes looked up and saw half of an elevator falling right onto them. Izuku quickly tackled Momo out of the way hitting the floor. The elevator also fell into the ground with a giant crash destroying the ground. Izuku quickly started helping Momo up.

Izuku: Are you ok?

Momo: I'm fine thanks to you.

Izuku quickly looked up and saw Payback in the elevator with Bruce.

Izukus head: He is so going to kill me after this.

Izuku: Momo I need you to get out of here.

Momo: What about you?

Izuku: I'll be right there I need to find Mr. Wayne.

Momo: But-

Izuku: -NOW

Momo then hesitantly started to get away from the danger. Izuku then quickly started going up the stairs while throwing his coat off and ripping his button up shirt apart revealing the bat logo on his suit.

With Bruce in the elevator

Payback was about to go in for another whip swing, but Bruce used his cane to hit the up button on the elevator making Payback stop his attack and regain his balance. Once he did, he quickly cut the wire on the elevator pulling it up and it started to fall back down, and Payback hop off of it. Bruce then clicked the emergency stop button. It did stop it but because of the half of the elevator missing Bruce fell out and quickly caught himself hanging onto the ledge for his life. That's when Izuku started to fly in and get in the elevator pulling Bruce up.

Batman: Need a hand?

Bruce: What took you so long?

Batman: I thought he would wait until the fund raiser was half way done.

Bruce: Or you were "distracted".

Batman: *sigh* Shut up.

The elevator then began to become unstable and ready to completely fall off. So Izuku grabbed Bruce and started gliding down with him onto the floor where the rest of the elevator fell crashing into the ground.

Bruce: Thanks.

Batman: Don't mention it. But listen I think Payback is Mr. Yaoyorozu.

Bruce: Why?

Batman: He has access to all company records and the right motive.

Before they could do anything else though Payback high above was using his laser whip to cut pillars in halves and let them fall down on people. Izuku quickly popped an explosive batarang out of his suits gauntlet and threw it at the bigger debree. Once it exploded it turned it into smaller debree. Izuku then started to fly back up using the rocket boots. He then drop-kicked Payback while flying knocking him away.

Batman: It's over Payback. Or should I say-

Just as he was about to "reveal his identity" he saw Mr. Yaoyorozu hugging the wall next to him while watching the fight...... while Payback was standing in front of him.

Batman: Mr. Yaoyorozu?

Izukus head: WAIT WHAT? If it wasn't him...... then who is Payback. None of this make sense NO ONE ELSE has access to that info Payback would need.

As Izuku was trying to figure out who Payback is and what to do next suddenly the ground around them began to crumple and become unstable. It's because Payback sliced those pillars since they were what gave support to the upper floors. The floor around Mr. Yaoyorozu then fell and so to did he. Before Izuku could do anything though Payback suddenly dived right after him surprising Izuku

Payback: NOOOOO

Payback then quickly grabbed hold of Mr. Yaoyorozu and used his body to take the fall creating a crater in the ground. Izuku quickly glided down to where they were. Mr. Yaoyorozu got up from the ground while Payback was motionless. Bruce then walked up to Payback and pulled the black cloak covering his head and shoulders revealing a robotic head.

Batman/ Bruce: Huh?

The robotic head though then started emitting steam and opening up revealing-

Bruce: A kid?

Izuku though recognized him. It was Momo's brother and Mr. Yaoyorozu son. It was Lewis.

Batman: Its Yaoyorozu son. It was Lewis the whole time. He had access to his dad's computer in his office which he would need to do those attacks. This suit he is wearing must be from his quirk. He literally built an exo-suit from his quirk.

Lewis than began to break down crying in guilt and from the stress of being caught.

Later outside the fundraiser

There were cops and ambulances everywhere. Izuku was back in his regular suit and standing next to Bruce and Mr. Yaoyorozu. They were watching as Lewis was in handcuffs and being put into a cop car. His father couldn't help but look with pain and guilt written on his face.

Mr. Yaoyorozu: This is all my fault. I spent so much time with work that I .......I completely neglected my own son. He tried fixing all my problems so he could spend time with me. I............I'm a terrible father. Mr. Wayne I'm sorry for everything that has happened tonight.

Instead of expressing outrage and panic like most people would Bruce showed.......................sympathy. He put a hand on his shoulder and said.

Bruce: Go to your son. He needs you now more than ever.

So, he did just that and started to walk away. As he did Momo walked up from behind Izuku.

Momo: Um... I-Izuku.

Izuku turned around wide eyed and worried. It's right to be worried after all since its her little brother.

Izuku: Momo......are you...... ok?

Momo: No not really. I......I can't believe Lewis would do all of this. He isn't a bad kid. H-He j-just-

Just as she was about to break out and cry though Izuku gently rubbed her shoulder with his thumb. He just said 2 words though.

Izuku: I know.

Momo then hugged Izuku and he returned the act showing empathy. She then stepped back from Izuku.

Momo: I need to go and be with my family right now.

She then bowed at Bruce.

Momo: I'm sorry for everything our family is putting you through. Please forgive us.

Bruce: It's fine. Be with your family.

So Momo did just that waving goodbye at Izuku and being there for her family. Izuku and Bruce then turned around and started to walk away and to the limo.

Izuku: Ok.... I'll admit it you were right...... You called it. You laid down the bait like you said and Payback took it. Only it wasn't who I thought it was. I was wrong.......... twice.

Bruce than gave him another lesson to live by.

Bruce: Learn from it....... that's all you can do.

Izuku: Oh, and also...... I think your right.... About keeping people away in Izuku Midoryia's life from Batman. After tonight...... I don't want Momo getting hurt because of me.

Bruce: Well its to late for that now.

Izuku was just dead panned and confused by that last remark.

Izuku: W-What do you mean to late?

Bruce: When I say to keep people away, I mean strangers or possible future connections that could be developed. If a relationship never starts it can never grow and develop consequences. However once those loved ones do find a way in, they can never be taken out.

Izuku: What does that even mean?

Bruce: In simple......... You "can" stop other people from caring about you. However, its A LOT harder to stop yourself from caring about other people.

Izuku: Which means what with Momo?

Bruce: *sigh* Do I really have to be that forward. You.caught.feelings.for.her.

Then the whole way home Izuku was rambling how its not like that or trying to make an excuse due to how embarrassed he was. All while being beat red.

OH JESUS THIS TOOK SO LONG. I was not expecting to make this chapter so long. ANYWAYS I did really enjoy making this chapter it was fun making the detective scenes.
