Shoji was never ashamed to be an Omega. His parents were very supportive of him becoming a hero despite his biology. A second gender will not determine whether or not he will become an amazing hero. People at school though were a whole different situation though because kids were assholes. People from Fukuoka prefecture where just overall assholes. It was like every single traditionalist decided to congregate there and make Omega's life a living hell. He has never met a single Omega in his life in his home town either! That was just absurd

"I still find it hard to believe you're an Omega. I mean look at you." Shoji was facing forward trying to eat his lunch in peace. He had his mask on and was using his quirk to eat because he did not need to hear how scary his face looks. His self-esteem took enough damage as it is.

"Come on, leave him alone." He appreciated the effort but, it wasn't enough. The bullies just kept going not caring about Shoji's feelings in the slightest.

"What do you mean? It's the truth! He doesn't look like an Omega. No Omega's have bulky muscles like he does, nor are they that tall. Look at all the other Omega's in this school and tell me I'm not wrong." Shoji had slowed down in his eating not liking where this attack was going. He hates it so much. Why was he looked down upon so much? His online friends said they hardly experienced head-strong Alpha's or traditionalists. People were more open now then years ago. He just doesn't understand why there are so many here.

"I mean..." Of course they would agree with him. It was a bitter truth. All the Omega's were small, soft or whatever else a typical Omega is supposed to look like. He was none of that. He wasn't soft. He wasn't small. He was going to be a hero so of course he had muscles.

"See! You know I'm right!" The girl who stood up for him tried again

"There is someone for everyone! Don't be mean to him!" The boy snarled at her scoffing with his lackey's backing him up. Of course. A bird of a feather flocks together.

"The day he gets someone is the day hell freezes over." He laughed and one of his lackey's said something that made Shoji gag.

"All he needs is an Alpha to bend him over and force him to submit. He can be someone's good bitch and stay hidden in a house raising kids. That's if someone wants kids with something as ugly as him." Shoji had, had enough as he felt tears prick at his eyes. He got up throwing his lunch and making a bee-line to the bathroom. If he would have stayed for two seconds he would have seen the girl who defended him use her quirk to make them float and slam back down into the table breaking it in half. Shoji was trying his best not to let the tears flow and choke on a sob. He couldn't understand why people were so mean. He never did anything wrong. That day went by slow and at the end he was surprised to have been called in the office. He thought he was in trouble and was surprised to see his parents, the girl who defended him and his bullies. He didn't understand what was going on.

"I know this is something a spur of the moment but, we needed to confirm something that happened at lunch." Long story short the bullies were expelled and he gained a new friend. He was surprised they were expelled. The girl- he found out was Ochako- had borrowed her mom's phone and recorded everything the bullies were doing. It helped a lot and honestly? Shoji was happy. He gained a friend for the first time in his life and he wasn't going to be tormented by them anymore.

Him and Ochako- who is an Alpha- ended up applying, completing the entrance exam and being accepted to U.A heroics department. Mezo was really happy. He was one step closer to becoming a hero. Everything was perfect. His parents were super happy for him and prepared everything making sure he had all the right supplies for when school started. It was two weeks later when school started. His dad dropped him off at the front of the gates and with a warm hug he was off. The gates had just opened and he entered. He looked around and saw Ochako helping the broken bones dude from the entrance exam. He waved at her as she jumped excitedly running towards him dragging the guy with her.

"Shoji-kun!" She wrapped her arms around him in a hug which he gladly returned. He turned to the guy who was shuffling side to side "This is Izuku Midoriya, Midoriya this is my friend Mezo Shoji!" Introductions were quick as the three of them made there way to class. It wasn't too intimidating but, it was when it seemed they were the last three to come in and all eyes were on them. This was going to be an interesting school year.

Interesting was an understatement. So much shit happened it was unbelievable. Getting attacked at USJ, the attack at the camp that turned into the Kamino Ward incident. All might lost his power and was no longer a hero. Everyone moved into dorms and that was the last of the craziness for now. The LOV was quiet and that wasn't something good. On a better note though, the dorms allowed everyone in Class 1a to be the perfect pack and everyone was close with each other. Some closer than others.

"Shoji!" He turned in time to see Dark Shadow come for him. He grunted as the quirk crashed into him and wrapped itself around him like a scarf nuzzling the side of his face. Shoji smiled petting the quirk. It was very cuddly and liked to cling onto people. Mezo didn't mind in the slightest considering the crush he had on said quirk's owner.

"How many times have I told you to cease this nonsense." Shoji turned to Tokoyami with a friendly wave. He was enamored with the short Alpha, smitten if he dared to admit. He was really sweet to him, always talked with him, trained together, studied, ate, just everything. Thus ended up with Shoji falling for him even though he didn't dare say a word. No need to ruin a friendship because of his feelings.

"It's fine Toko I don't mind in the slightest." He loved how his feathers got ruffled whenever he got embarrassed or bashful about something. The two of them sat in silence as Dark Shadow rested against Shoji looking over his shoulder at Shoji's phone. The silence was comfortable and something the two of them were accustomed to.

"Um...I have something to talk to you about later on." Shoji turned in concern in which Fumikage was quick to placate "It's nothing bad, I promise. Just meet me at my dorm after dinner?" Shoji hummed but agreed. He shouldn't be worried because this was Tokoyami. Being dramatic was his aesthetic and Dark Shadow was his number one supporter in that department. The rest of the day went by fast, faster than he liked and before Mezo knew it he was knocking on Fumi's door. He was allowed in and at the insistence of Fumi he sat on the bed right next to him. Shoji was both nervous and excited.

"What was it that you wanted to talk about?" He was comfy enough to take his mask off when it was just the two of them. He trusted him way more than he let on. It was silent for a few minutes before Fumi took a deep breath and turned to him

"I want to be your Alpha." Shoji choked on air, face flushing a bright red. He looked at Fumi with hope and trepidation. Fumi wouldn't lie but, this was pure luck and luck like this never worked in Shoji's favor.

"W-what, you do?" Shoji needed clarification before he squeezed him in a hug

"You do not have to agree. However, I just needed you to know that I want to be your Alpha and want to court you properly. I liked you for a month now and finally got the courage to ask you. I understand if you do not-" Toko couldn't finish as Shoji wrapped him up in all six arms and squeezed him.

"As long as I can be your Omega." Toko looked at him in shock. His beak closed as he slowly wrapped his arms around him as best he could

"This is the best outcome." Shoji simply laughed a little never letting him go. Shoji always wanted to hug Fumi close like this without being weird and now that he had permission? He was going to exploit it.
