Him and Shoto didn't talk too much but, when they did the conversation was always full of substance. They typically liked to sit together and read manga, of course Shoji figured this out when he went to Sero for some recommendations. Shoji happened to like manga as well but, read it all online. His manga books were safe at home with his parents where nothing shouldn't happen to them. During the beginning of second year Shoji had worked up the courage to ask the stoic Alpha if he wanted to read manga with him. He was surprised that Shoji liked manga and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. It started off kind of awkward at first since neither wanted to sit in the other's room. However, after three weeks Shoto worked up the courage to ask Shoji to sit in his room. The two of them sat together with the Tv on a random channel and reading. They would discuss what they read afterwards and it was like this along with all the regular fighting and hero stuff. It was about 5 months until Shoto gave him permission to call him Shoto

"I think we are good enough friends for you to call me Shoto" Shoji had looked at him in surprise but, smiled nevertheless.

"Then call me Mezo" If someone would have told Shoji that starting that day when he was allowed to call him Shoto that he was going to fall head over heels for the resident ice prince he would have called them a lie.

Fast forward to the beginning of third year and Mezo was beside himself waiting to see Shoto. He was basically vibrating with energy and his scent gave away his excitement but, outwardly he was still and calm

"Don't get your mask in a knot, your ice prince will be here shortly." Mezo turned to look sheepishly at Ojiro. He had the childish urge to stick out his tongue at them.

"I'm happy to see the others too..." His friends giggled at his bashful behavior

"You just so happened to be more excited for Shoto's arrival." He couldn't deny that so he didn't grace them with an answer. They started teasing him and he started teasing them back. It was a nice playful banter amongst each other. Mezo hasn't seen Shoto in almost three months. They would text regularly and do video calls but, that was about it. He was kept busy at the Endeavor agency while he was busy with Gang Orca. He learned how to do much more than just search and rescue which he was glad for. He needed to see Shoto though. His father was a big stocky man and he wanted to know if he was tall and slim or tall and bulky. He didn't care how he looked but Shoji was kind of weak when it came to muscles.

"I see Izuku, Shoto must be right behind him." Mezo looked and took a few seconds to admire Izuku's physique. He definitely was a powerhouse now. He finally grew into his stature and was about '5"10 with a build similar to a young All Might. It made sense. Mezo looked behind him and was floored. Shoto looked amazing. His two tone hair was long and straight not in a ponytail. To Shoji's delight he did in fact get taller and was taking after his father in build. At least his attitude wasn't his dad's. Shoji would have hated him.

"Gorgeous." If he was paying any attention he would have noticed the looks shared around his classmates as they slipped away to give him and Shoto a little time to get acquainted. Mezo didn't grow too much he was in fact '6"5 and him and Shoto just about saw eye to eye. This was great, perfect. He was loving this way more than he let on.

"It's nice to see you Mezo." Mezo gave him a closed eyed smile along with a smile with his quirk. When his eyes opened he saw Shoto smiling softly and fondly at him.

"It's nice to see you too." The two of them started walking towards their dorm talking for a bit before both of them got swooped into their own personal friends group. Mezo should have seen he was fucked from the start with those pretty eyes

Mezo was royally screwed in the best way possible. He was like 80 percent certain that Shoto was into him as much as he was into Shoto but, knowing Shoto's history of a lack of social cues, social settings and the works that prevented him from making too many moves. He wasn't brave, he wasn't the type of Omega who was confident in getting the Alpha he wants and to demand his sole attention. He just wasn't that kind of person either.

"Watching the two of you act like a couple and not realize your feelings is driving me up a wall." It took a lot for Fumi to get exasperated and Mezo seemed to have an ability to press all his buttons unintentionally.

"I think he likes me back but, just, I don't know! We will get to the same page eventually." Mezo was running out of reasons and excuses so just settled that they would get on the same ground soon enough. He had a good feeling something was finally going to connect soon and they were going to finally cross over that threshold. He ignored the talking amongst his friends opting to scroll through his phone for anything new or upcoming about hero's and stuff. Lemillion and Suneater were making their way into the top 10 spots as well as one of the best power couples out there. He was glad to know them personally, well the whole class does.

"Hey, Mezo?" He turned to Ojiro who was smiling softly at him "Shoto is dense, he knows what he wants but, probably thinks you're not into him which is crazy to think about. I think he's going to need a very obvious hint from you." Mezo tilted his head before nodding. He was right. He knew exactly what to do too.

Shoto was sweating and his heart pounding. He was watching Mezo train and holy shit he got it bad. He wasn't as dumb as he used to be back when he was a first year. Even he can admit he was so socially stunted it was downright appalling. How did anyone stand to be around him? He will never know but, he's glad that his pack did. He never even knew he can be apart of a pack and care about so many people all at once especially a certain someone. He was the youngest one in the pack but, one of the most physically strong without quirk usage as well. Shoto was always attracted to the gentle giant. At first he thought he was an Alpha and was going to be a typical one. Shoto now recognizes that his sheer size reminded him of his dad which was wrong. However, he was surprised to find Shoji was an Omega which made him more intrigued. He didn't look like one which he liked a lot. He always wanted a partner with muscles, someone who is strong and he doesn't always have to worry for their safety even though that feeling would just come natural. Then Mezo reached out to him to read manga which threw him for a loop. Mezo and Bakugo if he's being honest taught him so much and re-wired his old way of thinking. He no longer allowed his father traditional ways to influence the way he views his peers. Imagine his surprise when he realized he was in love with Mezo.

"Shoto-kun?" He blinked away and looked to his side to see that Mezo was sitting next to him facing him without his mask. The first time he saw him without his mask was a pleasantry. Yes, he had a wide mouth, rows of sharp teeth like Kirishima and a forked tongue but, he thought he was beautiful and unique. "Are you alright?" He was using his real mouth to talk

"You're so beautiful to look at." The words came tumbling out his mouth before he can stop them. Now they both were blushing like two idiots. All well, he meant it and wasn't planning on taking it back.

"You don't mean that..." That made him irrationally angry

"Of course I do. I never say things I don't mean. I find you gorgeous and always have. You're very sweet too. Gentle and so strong at the same time. I love the way you care so much for all us. For me." Izuku had told him the best way was to be blunt with his feelings. He watched as Mezo turned scarlet and his mouth open and closed. He cleared his throat and turned fully towards Shoto reaching out to grab his hand which Shoto allowed. He really liked the feel of Shoji's hand in his. "Izuku helped me figure out my feelings and told me to be honest and straight forward...so, Mezo I love you and want you to be my Omega. I don't care if you're not small and petite. You're perfect for me." He took a deep breath and took this time to look up at Mezo. He was not expecting a kiss. He made a noise but, before Mezo can pull away he kissed back. It was nice and sweet just like he was

"I love you too....Can you be my Alpha?" For the first time since he knew Mezo he graced him with a smile showing all his teeth.

"Of course I will." The two of them spent the last few minutes of 'training' to bask in the sun and each other's embrace.
