A/N: Headcanon that Koji can sing really really well.

Koji was no stranger to relationships and feelings and emotions. He would say that he was very in tune with his emotions and those around him. However, his crippling social anxiety and selective muteness is not exactly a trait people would look for in friends let alone a partner. He tried not to let the idea bother him so much growing up. He had his animals as friends courtesy of his quirk. It's not that he didn't like talking, he just didn't know what to say or how to properly act and hold conversations. It sucked. Especially for an alpha. He's supposed to be sure of himself, confident, boisterous. The works. He was not. His dad and siblings did it effortlessly making him jealous. His mom always reassured him though that he was fine the way he was. He would find the right one for him eventually. He doubted it. However, when he started U.A he thinks his mother was right. It was a short boy with a sentient quirk. He was enamored by the raven headed boy with a talking quirk that looked like him in shadow form. Of course he would be attracted to someone resembling an animal. The irony.

"Koda. Wait up!" He turned to look at Ojiro. He really liked Ojiro and was one of the only people in class he would actively talk with. Of course there was Shoji, Hagakure and Tokoyami "I was going to ask if you wanted to study with us during study period? I really need help with my English homework and you're pretty good in the language." Koda smiled agreeing to join him. Who was 'us' he wasn't entirely sure but, he has a good idea it's the usual group. He wasn't worried. Once he left he continued to walk ahead acknowledging Shoji when he started walking besides him.

"I got the hang of the song in that part and wanted to know what you think?" Koji was just as happy to find out Shoji also liked to sing in his spare time so the two of them bonded over music and became really close friends. Being mutants was a little bit of a plus too.

"Sure, your room or mine?" Koji was really comfortable talking with his friends. He had no problem with no one besides Bakugo because he scared his white rabbit that he loved. Other than that, he thoroughly enjoyed everyone's company. His friends just were a little more special to him.

"Mine. We can go now?" Koda nodded noticing from his peripheral that Kirishima was looking at them. Shoji didn't notice or did a really good job of pretending. Kirishima was either desperately in love with Shoji or wanted to be him. Koji was pretty sure it was both and the way Mina was glaring at them that means she did not like the attention that Kirishima was giving Shoji. Right before they entered the dorms Koji heard the indignant shout from Kirishima meaning Mina did something to get his attention on her. Poor girl. Hopefully Kirishima lets her down easy and she is not too hurt from it all. Feelings and emotions are a finicky thing to mess around with.

"There is this new song I'm obsessed with. I've been practicing it intently." Koji didn't wait for a response and played the song plugging in Shoji's headphones. He waited patiently for Shoji to finish listening to it only to grin when he stared at him with wide eyes.

"This is perfect for you to sing." He nodded thinking how Tokoyami might like it. He didn't squash the thought but, let the feeling engulf him. The way his feathers ruffled, the way him and Dark Shadow would banter back and forth, the soft smile on his face when he was reading, how much he glowed when writing his poems, how much he cared for his friends especially those close to him. There wasn't a thing about Fumikage that Koji did not like. He stood in the weird spot by the stairs leading to the rooms and the common room area forgetting where he was. He even forgot that Shoji was there. Charlie Wilson You Are had him.

He knew the words were girl but, he changed it to boy. All he saw was Tokoyami. All he smelled was Tokoyami. All he felt around him was Fumikage. He belted out the last notes taking a breath before opening his eyes. He blinked rapidly at Shoji confused as to why his eyes were so wide. It's not the first time he heard him sing but, that's when he heard something soft hit the ground behind him. He froze all the way up. Rigidly he turned around almost fainting. There was half the class with Tokoyami in the front. Tokoyami. In all his glory. Standing beak open with wide eyes absolutely speechless. This was it. Koji was going to melt into a puddle of embarrassment and never become a solid again. Before anyone can say anything he made a beeline for his dorm almost floating up the stairs and making it to his door on his designated floor in two rebound steps. The echo of a slamming door woke everyone from their stupor

"Holy Shit-"

"I didn't know he can sing-"

"First of all I didn't even know he can speak-"

"I thought we established he can Jirou-"

"He sounded so amazing! How was he hiding all that talent-"

"Why didn't you tell us Shoji!" That's when all the bickering ended and all eyes ended up on Shoji. He simply shrugged going back to his music

"It wasn't my place to say anything. He didn't want everyone to know but, I guess the cat is out the bag now." Talk started up again and that's when he met eyes with Tokoyami. With a tilt of his head while everyone else was busy, Tokoyami followed Shoji upstairs where it was more private and quieter.

"He's even more beautiful than I thought." Shoji simply grinned under his mask. His two friends were hopeless. They both needed a push

"Why don't you go tell him? He would love to hear it coming from you. His favorite Omega." With that said Shoji winked at him before leaving to his own dorm. Tokoyami stood there a total of 5 seconds before taking a breath and walking with determination to Koji's door. He had about 2 minutes of bravery in him and he was determined to use it before it depleted. This was a once in a lifetime chance. With vigor he knocked on the door waiting nervously as the timid Alpha opened the door surprised to see Toko there

"Can I come in?" Koji was surprised with light panic in his eyes before taking a breath. He stepped aside to let the Omega inside as Tokoyami made himself comfortable on the floor by his bed. Honesty and bluntness was the way to go. "I really love your voice." Koji stuttered burning red with excitement and embarrassment

"I-i didn't t-think you w-would hear...." Tokoyami chuckled a bit

"Well I'm glad because it just added to your beauty." He smiled at the sharp upturn of his face. "I really do like you Koji and I had an idea that you did but, Shoji gave me the courage to actually say it. I want you to be my Alpha." It took everything to keep him from fainting but, miraculously he didn't. He stood for five seconds by the door before striding over and scooping Tokoyami up into a hug which was gladly returned.

"I would love to be your Alpha." Toko simply hummed rubbing the gentle giant's back in comforting circles.
