Shoji is well aware that someone that looks like him should not be an Omega. He has been told that his whole life since he presented at the young age of four. The only people who didn't care that he was an Omega is his family. They were Alpha's in his family though so it was weird that he was an Omega but, they didn't make it a big deal. They just did a lot of research and made sure he was comfortable and reassured. Being a '6"2 muscled male Omega teen was hard. He had to hide his secondary gender when no one believed him growing up calling him a liar. It was when he went through his first heat at 13 years old and he didn't have any scent patches that his classmates believed him. It made him an even bigger freak to them than what he already was.

Flashback

"How you look like that and be an Omega?"

"He wants to be a hero! Ha! Omega's are not meant to be hero's"

"He's better off being someone's bitch to give pups to." He winced particularly hard at that comment

"If he finds an Alpha desperate enough to stand the sight of him" That made him go to the bathroom and spend the rest of the lunch period crying his eyes out, smelling distressed. Was it smart of him to scent the bathroom, isolated? No it wasn't. He regretted it when the door slammed open and he heard an audible click. His crying seized only to be taken over by panic. They smelled like an Alpha

"Smells like Omega." He just knows the asshole was looking at the stall he was in. "You can come out, pretty Omega. I won't hurt you." Mezo was tempted not to come out. He had an idea though. Usually everyone backed out when they saw how he looked like. Stealing his nerves he slowly opened the stall and took a tentative step before standing to his full height. To his surprise the Alpha was someone he has seen before. He got left back therefore was two years older than Mezo instead of one or a few months. Mezo was the baby of his class. The guy surprisingly was Mezo's height. When did he go through a growth spurt?

"What do you want?" Mezo was very cautious and was ready to bolt. He rather not fight but, he will if the need arises.

"I just wanted to give you my number! It's nice to know it was a familiar face even though I am surprised. I always thought you was an Alpha" He took a step forward into Mezo's personal space to sniff "What a wonderful surprise Mezo." He pulled back and went back to the bathroom door unlocking it/ Mezo didn't want to think too hard on the implications of that. "I will make sure you're not a stranger." Mezo felt very unsafe

Flashback end

Mezo slapped the side of his head a little to get out of memory lane. He did not have a good experience with that Alpha and that situation that happened is the main reason Mezo did not announce he was an Omega when he started U.A. He figured they wouldn't be too judgmental about it but, he rather have been safe then sorry. He waited the first month making friends and having the beta's and omega's in his class flock to him for just about everything. Protection from Mineta? He was the go to. Taste tester? He was the go to. Opinions on quirks? He was the go to. Random strength tests against Bakugo and Kirishima without quirks? He was the go to. Cuddle piles? He was the first one because of his size and his arms. He didn't mind it in the slightest. His Omega preened at the attention. Even though none of them knew yet. He remembers what helped him was in fact Mineta in a weird way

Flashback

"After learning All Might is in fact an Omega solidified the fact that your second gender doesn't define you." Denki had looked at him in shock

"Who are you and what have you done with Mineta?" They bickered back and forth for a little bit before talking again

"For real! Anyone can be an Omega or an Alpha! Mezo could be an Omega-" He was cut off by Denki

"That is very unlikely. Do you see the muscles on that guy? Then again All Might has way more muscles...."

Flashback end

Mezo had let that fester a bit in the back of his head for a while. After the USJ attack and class 1a formed a pack that's when he decided that enough was enough. He had decided to announce it when they were appointing that all the Alpha's were to take turns with whatever. The whole class was in the common room area when Bakugo and Tenya were barking out orders.

"So the two head Alpha's will be Bakugo and Tenya followed by Izuku, Shoto, Tokoyami, Jiro, Koda, Shoji-" Shoji cleared his throat at that gaining the attention of everyone in the room. It was now or never

"I am not an Alpha." It was quiet before murmurs broke out a bit

"Oh, so you're a beta? That explains why when I was talking about ruts you looked lost." Mezo swallowed the laugh that was about to come out. To the class the only Omega's were Ojiro, Aoyama, Ochako and Asui. Everyone else was Alpha's and Beta's.

"I'm an Omega." The silence was deathly for three seconds before questions erupted from left, right, above and below.

"How did you manage to hide your second gender?"

"What suppressants do you use?"

"Oh my god we have another Omega! Cuddle piles are going to be amazing"

"Did you get a heat yet?" He paid no mind to Mineta's question but listened and responded to everyone else in the room. He decided he was already deep in the hole he might as well go the whole way. He used his hand to slowly peel off his scent patch for a second, scented the air and, then put it back on watching everyone's reaction.

"Wow Shoji! You smell really damn good!" It was Dark Shadow and it set off a chain reaction from everyone. Beta's are not effected by heats or ruts however, they can still scent. All of Mezo's worries were for nothing it seemed.

Mezo was going through it right along with the rest of his class. It had been a few months and quite a few things have happened. Besides the attack on USJ, the Kamino Ward Incident happened when the training camp turned disastrous. Deku fought Muscular to save Koda, Dark Shadow went ballistic and knocked out Moonfish, they were attacked by the LOV and their master AFO. A battle between him and All might happened that All Might won but at the cost of his quirk and his title as number one hero. Then for whatever God forsaken reason the LOV teamed up with Chisaki. That turned into a full blown brawl with hero's and some students - Ochako, Deku, Kirishima, Asui and the big three- where a cute little girl named Eri was saved, Chisaki and his crew thrown in Tartarus. It was a very rough and emotional time especially since Deku has a horrible knack for getting himself almost killed weekly. Other than that though, there were a lot of positive that happened. One major positive was that they all moved into dorms which was a good thing. No one bothered wearing scent patches and being touchy-feely was both normal and wanted.

"Mezo-kun how does this feel?" At the moment he was shopping with the the rest of the Omega's in the class in a specialty store. They took one look in his room and decided it needed to be softer, more cozy. He secretly agreed.

"I like how this feels." He is choosing to speak with his real mouth even though it's behind a mask. Only in public he wears a mask, the safety of his dorm he doesn't. Or unless he's hot enough and says fuck it. He didn't get a negative response from his class but, old habits die hard.

"I'm buying you this plush! I'm not taking no for an answer." Aoyama insisted on paying for everything and apparently his parents were the number 1 and 2 heroes in France so they had money to spare. A lot of it. By the end of it Mezo had like 8 plush, 6 blankets and a few pillows. He felt very cared for. Once in the safety of the dorms, scent patch out he let his sweet pleased scent permeate the air. It hit his intended target which happened to be Koda. Koda was shy by nature but, it was no surprise to Shoji that he was an Alpha. He's the only one in the class who's taller than Shoji by an inch. Him and Sato saw eye to eye at the same height.

"I'm heading up to my room." He slinked silently with the bags to his room unaware that a pair of eyes was following him. Once he made it to his room he was surprised to see a rabbit plush and a duck plush. Attached to the card was a note.

"I think you know who this is from. Hint: I love animals. I promise to use my voice tonight? If you would allow me to come in your room?"

Shoji was on cloud nine. He knew it was Koda. The Alpha's scent was on the plush toys and the card. Mezo had no shame in taking his mask off, shoving his face into the plush and taking a deep inhale. Something snapped inside him and he found himself making a newfound nest. He had plenty of nesting supplies from his family but, he added all the new things into it. It took 20 minutes to re-arrange everything perfectly but, by the end he had a fluffy safe haven. He changed into some pajamas and laid down in the center to cuddle the blankets and plush toys. He stayed there for an hour before he got hot and hungry. He got up, left his nest, showered and put on new pajamas. He headed downstairs where everyone was cooking. He chose not to wear his mask nervous but a little uncaring. They proved they didn't care about how he looked because it didn't change who he was.

"Here octo-arms." He was given a large plate of food. "Eat all of it, I want to see an empty plate before you leave." Bakugo was brash but, he cared. He cared for everyone in their own special way. Dinner went by smoothly with Shoji sitting next to Koda the whole time. They decided to sit at the table waiting for everyone to finish. Mezo had to fight down a blush when he felt Koda's hands trace patterns on his thigh under the table all while holding a conversation with Tokoyami and Ojiro. He thank God he had a poker face because when Koda started massaging his thigh while simultaneously intertwining their legs together? He was going to have an aneurysm. His saving grace came in the form of a movie which everyone insisted on watching. He ended up being cuddled with some new people including Koda. Koda was on the couch next to him since he was on the floor. He was using a hand to run his fingers through Mezo's hair scratching his scalp from time to time. Mezo ended up falling asleep without even knowing it.

Mezo woke up to darkness and a weight underneath him. He didn't remember falling asleep at all. He went to sit up but where he rested his hands it was muscle instead of soft cushions. He turned to see the culprit and he had a sneaking suspicion on who it was. "Koji?"

"...Yeah it's me." Shoji was floored. He was on his crush. He was laying on top of his crush.

"Aren't I heavy?" Smooth Mezo, smooth. Let all your insecurities out why don't you. He let out a light gasp when he felt two hands push him up and then bring him back down flush against the warm body.

"You're not heavy at all. I like the weight." There was no stuttering in hearing range so, Mezo decided to file that for later. Mezo was at a loss of words for a second before he had an idea

"I really liked the rabbit and duck. It's cute and very soft. Smells like you too." Koji let out a noise

"Um...you like the way I smell? Oh, I know it's weird at the moment but, it's easier to talk to you in the dark about feelings. I won't sound like an idiot trying to explain myself." Mezo thinks that pheromones are fucking with his head because this Koji was a totally different Koji than the one he saw in the day time. He likes both of them. Mezo felt flustered this time

"Yeah, heh. You smell really nice. You're also really really sweet to me and you were one of the first people to accept me and not be disgusted by my appearance." He felt soft hands on his face turning him towards where he assumed Koji face is

"There is nothing wrong or disgusting about you. You have a pretty face. There is no shame in having muscles as an Omega. There is no shame in being a tall Omega. There is no right way to be an Omega. I think you're perfect." Koji allowed his hand to move from his cheek to the middle of his back where he pressed him closer. "It's 10 PM we have time to catch some sleep here until we leave to our own rooms around 4 ish. It's the weekend so Aizawa shuts off the camera's on Friday nights. We are safe." Well if Koji wasn't worried than neither was Mezo. He settled down on top of the Alpha's chest for the night. They have a lot more questions and things to talk about but, for now Mezo was just happy to be cuddling on his favorite person.
