I read this out of the book Mother fetched me. Oh no. This is bad because I also read "Sacrifices are only taken off the streets, not their homes." I only know two people that live off the streets. Cecilia and Dad.

I continue flipping through the book until I come across another passage that interests me. "The sacrifice has 5 days to be saved by a friend, loved one, or even a foe. Then they chose another sacrifice instead." I decided what I must do. I will investigate who is the sacrifice and find them. If it's Dad or Cecilia, I will save them. If not...well then that will be awkward...

While I am daydreaming about how to tell my mother my plan...I hear a small knock coming from the door. My mom is to busy crying to notice, so I answer the door. A small girl is standing there. In a quiet voice she says:
