Marco's POV
As the king stood before me I saw a look of hope in his eyes. He told me that he wanted me to win the games and wished me the best of luck. I thanked him and he walked away. I sat back down and watched Star. The children all loved her. She would play hide and seek and tag with them. After a while we decided to head back to the training center. As we approached the center,Star told me she had a wonderful time. I smiled and replied " I had a great time too." After a few more physical activities it was time for the dancing practice.

Star's POV

It was finally the dancing portion of the games, my favorite part. All the boys had to bring a partner,and all the boys did except one. A little blond haired boy had forgot to bring one, Marco being the kind hearted person he is,gave the boy his partner. This meant he had no partner. I was about to volunteer to be his partner. I started to shout Marco but could only say Mar,before I was interrupted. Someone volunteered first I looked at the girl and recognized her face immediately. It made me freeze,every inch of my body was beaming red with anger. It was JACKIE LYN THOMAS,she went to school with me. As soon as Marco saw her, his face was as pink as a flamingo. He grabbed her hand and smiled.

Marco's POV

When Jackie took my hand I felt ecstatic. It was our turn to do the waltz. I grabbed her waist with one hand, and my other hand locked with hers. We waltzed across the floor while the Blue Danube Waltz played. All my worries were carried away, all I thought about was Jackie. Her eyes were sparkling like diamonds,and her smile was like a hot chocolate on a cold winters day. I looked up to where Star was sitting. Her face was so sad, she looked like she was going to explode. Finally she ran out of the room. I looked at Jackie and then Star, Jackie was my crush but Star was my friend. I closed my eyes, let go of Jackie and ran after Star. I looked back at Jackie, she looked like a rhino got hit her in the stomach.

Jackie's POV

When I was waltzing with Marco I felt like a kid opening a new toy, full of excitement and joy. I saw him look at Star in a way I couldn't explain, he looked at me and Star. He let go of my hands and ran. I was hurt didn't he love me? I loved him and I wouldn't let this get in the way. I chased after him even though he was nowhere in sight,as I ran my eyes started to water and my heart began to ache.
I loved him but did he feel the same??
I kept running until my head felt dizzy and all I could see was a bright light.
