It is the time after Mew finally confesses his feeling to Gulf.

Gulf POV

Did I ever mention that I'm so afraid of my mom, as in really afraid! Growing up, she always beats me up every time I disappoint her. Since I was a child, I have known I can never make my mom angry because if I do, I don't know what she will do to me. I can never not follow her. I can never make mistakes or else. She'll punish me.

She will slap me, cut my hair harshly that I can't go out of the house for months, kick me, punch me, sometimes, she even locks me up inside my room for days. She'll say sorry to me after she calms down and realizes what she did, so in the end, I still forgive her. Give and take, as long as I'm making her happy. She won't hurt me.

Despite this, I love my mom! I can understand why she is doing this, maybe because she's just afraid I will be on the wrong path. Added to that is her stress and suffering to raise me. Perhaps it's her way of showing me how much she loves me.

But everything changed when I met Mew! I saw a different version of love! He made me feel so loved and cared about without hurting me. I really thought before that hurt will always accompany love! You have to be hurt for you to learn that you are loved. But for me? It's very different! As in different! He is my best friend! He supports, he guides me, and he always made feel when I'm with him that I'm safe! That I can be who I really am! Without pretension and being conscious about what might my mom or other people sees me.

That time when Mew confessed to me just like what happened in his version, I became baffled and so afraid!

Author POV

Samantha went back to Mew's house because she had forgotten something, but as her taxi is on the way there. She saw Gulf running on the sidewalk. She immediately gets off the cab to go to Gulf.

Samantha: Gulf! Stop! Please stop!

Gulf: I just want to go home!

Samantha: What happened? You're enjoying yourself with Mew earlier! What happened when I left?

Gulf: Please don't ask me anything, Sam! I just want to go home! Can you please leave me alone?

Samantha: No, I can't! I can't let you! What happened! Why are you crying?

Gulf: Sam! Please!

Samantha: Did he do something to you? Tell me!

Gulf continues to run away while crying! Samantha follows him even though she is struggling.

Samantha: Please, Gulf! Tell me! Can you please walk slower! I'm wearing heels! Gulf!

Gulf: Taxi! (Hail a cab!)

Samantha: Oh, Wait! I'll join you! Uncle! I'll join!

They are now inside the taxi.

Samantha: Gulf! Move to your side so that I can sit properly! Uncle, go! You can now drive! Gulf! What happened?

Gulf looks at Samatha.

Gulf: Sam, he confessed! Mew confessed to me already that he loves me!

Samantha: You're not happy?

Gulf: I am, Sam! I'm so happy! But at the same time, I'm sad because I know we can't! I can't accept his love! If I choose him, everything I worked so hard to get will be gone! Everything

Samantha: Can't you have them both?

Gulf: You know the answer to that already, Sam! Do you think he will understand? Do you think he will accept everything about me? About my family? Do you think he'll be satisfied with a little time that I can give him? I'm busy as it is already! Do you think he will be okay with that? With a little attention from me? Do you think he can always wait for me? It'll be unfair to him, Samantha!

Samantha: You can try!

Gulf: Try what? Do you think he will still see me as what he thinks I am if he knows everything about me? About what is happening to me? About our family? Our debts? A man is so desperate that he will do everything just to get what he wants! How can I tell him that the one he likes is a user! That I'm a user!

Samantha: Gulf! You are already assuming everything! You haven't started. You're already quitting!

Gulf: Sam! You are the one who told me that Mew is over! Over in loving someone! I saw it, myself! I can't give him the love that he deserves! Even if I wanted to, I don't know how! He doesn't deserve someone like me!

Samantha: Why can't you choose something that will make you happy!

Gulf: Sam, I can't! That rule doesn't apply to this situation! I know I can never be happy wherever I go! All of my obligations and problems always hunt me if I choose him, what if we didn't work! What do you think mom will do to me!

Samantha: But if you choose your dreams, are you going to be happy?

Gulf: Yes! Especially if I become successful!

Samantha: What if you didn't become successful!

Gulf: There are so many other guys there!

Samantha: you can never find someone like Mew! He is the only one who loves you unconditionally like that!

Gulf: There are other guys! I will do everything to be successful!

Samantha: Can't you make Mew your inspiration?

Gulf: Samantha!

Samantha: Gulf, Mew confess to you! He said he loves you. How about you?

Gulf: If love is like this, you feel so happy when you're with him. You feel your heartbeat rise whenever you are with him. At the same time, it's hurting when I'm thinking of him! So if that's what you call love, then yes! I love him!

I love Mew so much!
