Hello my friends!

Let's talk about one of my works in progress :D It's a fantasy series with pretty dark themes - things like generational trauma, emotional manipulation etc. The working title is Villains Aren't Born, and I'm asking all of you to please ignore that, I'm really bad at titles 😔😔 I haven't changed the title since I first came up with the idea for the story a bit more than two years ago and I'm too lazy to actually try to come up with something else at the moment (that's a problem for future me).

Fun fact! VANB was originally meant to be a short story (maaybe Novella) with only a few chapters based off a single song. But then my brain spit out some world building and backstories and character development and suddendly, within a few days, it turned into a whole ass fantasy series LMAO

Anyway, let me introduce you to my characters!! :D You'll see that my idea of developing characters is basically making character aesthetics ✨✨

One more thing, before we get into it: Credits for the template for the following aesthetics go to my (really awesome, really great, really talented!!) friend Becky (mein Herz)!! Unfortunately, she's not active on Wattpad, so I can't tell you to go follow her. But she was the one who showed me how to make these type of (really pretty, if you ask me) aestethics :) I only adjusted a few details to my liking.

Now this is Madison, my protagonist (aka the character whose perspective the story is written from):

My traumatized pookie <3 She has severe trust issues and feels all her emotions very intensely :)

Another fun fact: When I first told my sister about this story, she thought Madison's name was Medicine. Apparently that's how bad my pronounciation is 😭😭
Also, this is the first of those aesthetics I ever made :3 I originally made it over a year ago haha but I made some adjustments so that it doesn't spoil anything from the story.

Have some ✨LORE✨: She's the daughter and only child of the royal family that rules the kingdom where the story takes place. Basically, there are several royal families in the kingdom, each of them with a different magical ability. The common people normally don't have magic powers. Madison's family, the Crows, have the ability to read anyone's minds and speak through thoughts to people with the same ability - so basically, they can communicate without speaking (if all the people involved have that magic power too).

But wait! Ich have even more aestethics hihihi Here too, the template of the first one isn't from me! I got inspired by saturncomets, so the credits go to her (also CHECK OUT HER BOOKS. THEY'RE AMAZING.) <3

I LOVE HER FACE CLAIM SO MUCH. ESPECIALLY THE PICTURE ON THE RIGHT, IT FITS HER PERFECTLY.
Madison only ever wears black btw because she's just edgy like that 😋
The background colours in all of these aestethics match the personality of the characters btw! I looked up colour theory for this hahaha

I did this one SO long ago, almost two years ago hahaha and Madison and the plot of the story changed a lot since then (it got darker... and she got a different face claim), but I thought I'd include the aestethic anyway because it still fits her aesthetic pretty well.

Now, Emira! She's pretty much the second main character (and one of the only characters that is more or less developed LOL)

Emira my darling you are so perfect I will always love you no matter what you do 🫶🫶 (don't worry, other characters, I love you too!!! xxxx)

Again, let's get to ✨THE LORE✨: In contrast to Madison, Emira has several siblings and generally, her family and the way she grew up is totally different from Madison's (can't tell you more about that yet because it'd be a spoiler). She is the daughter of another royal family (but this one doesn't rule the kingdom), the Swans. (Again, please ignore Madison's and Emira's last names- I desperately need to change them). Their magic power is telekinesis, so they can lift and move stuff around without touching it, just with the power of their mind. Fittingly, the Swan's palace just floats in the air and the different rooms and wings move around or switch from time to time (think of the stairs in Hogwarts), which I think is pretty cool :D

My beautiful beautiful girl!! In contrast to Madison, Emira almost exclusively wears white (or at least light colours) 🤭
Yeah, as you may notice, Madison and Emira are pretty much opposites 👀

Just like Madison's, this one is veryy old too. Obviously, Emira's apperance changed even more than Madison's- Yeah , she used to be white.

Hmm what else is there to say... I could yap some more about the world building or the aestethic of things, like how their palaces or clothes look and stuff... So if you're interested in that, just tell me, and I'll probably make a chapter about that xx I mean, I have a very organised Pinboard about the story (with folders for every character) on Pinterest, so that gotta be good for something, right? And I have several Spotify playlist (that I could also endlessly yap about, because I'm very passionate about music and playlists). And also several random notes in my notes app. Obviously, duh. It wouldn't be me writing the story otherwise.

So yeah, I think that was all! In conclusion, this story will be very very angsty and dark. The trauma of all the characters plays a major role 😋😋
