Silent Nova
A star could be dying beside the moon's light,
Her shimmer so faint in the velvet night.
Yet eyes turn to silver, the beauty above,
Ignoring the quiet, the soul none could love.
She fades in the shadow, unseen in her fall,
While humans gaze upward, not noticing at all.
They dream of the moon, its glow soft and wide,
But miss the small flickers that burn out and hide.
The sky holds a thousand stories untold,
But they watch only what sparkles like gold.
A star could be breaking, her last breath a plea,
Yet no one will hear, for they're blind to the sea.
