SYNOPSIS

THE STARRY NIGHT SKY SHONE DOWN on Berk even as the embers created by the dragons reduced the homes of the Vikings who resided on the land to ashes. The smoke from the fires hung heavy in the air, but that didn't deter the people, determination fuelled and anger boiling in their veins, they fought back against the creatures.

It seemed as if Vikings and dragons were created to be rivals instead of friends, never able to live side by side in peace. At least that's what Verina Unfrid had been taught to think.

The girl had been fed so many lies that even those who spoke them believed them, and it became all she knew.

But when the chief's son, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, shows her the truth, her whole world is turned upside down. Everything she had once believed crumbled as she began to see the dragons who had once lurked in her nightmares in a different light.
