things that make me happy (and could make you happy, too)

Happiness has become a painful chore, ironically, in these days. It has become quite a luxury to a huge chunk of the population. So many happy faces, but sad eyes.

Happiness has always been associated with outcome or a destination, like 'I will be happy, if I complete this', 'I will be happy if I get this job'.

But, are you happy now? In the journey? We all forget that we spend most of our lives in the journey, rather than the destination.
So, shouldn't happiness be in the journey for more fulfilling lives?

I'm no monk, who has understood the working of the circle of life.

However, with time, I'm learning how to keep myself happy. Here's a list of 5 basic things that keep me happy. Who knows you might find yours in this?

1. I EAT BOOKS FOR BREAKFAST.

Isn't this obvious? I LOVE BOOKS! 📚 They make me happy, in ways nothing else could. Their smell, the feel of their pages on my fingers, the way they let me live lives outside of mine - books are love. Give me a book and I can spend the rest of my life happily.

2. I'M DRUNK ON SLEEPY CITYLIGHTS AND WIND AGAINST MY FACE.

I feel like the luckiest person to have one of the most beautiful sights up on my terrace. At night, you can see the sleepy citylights towards the West and the twinkling runway lights towards the North. On good days, you can witness a canopy of stars, above you and soft breeze against you. That place is so magical that I feel like all my worries have been answered.

3. PAINTING A KOALA BEAR BUT ENDING UP WITH A PANDA.

I used to take art classes as a kid, but I grew up and had to discontinue. However, art still is an amazing way to let out everything. Everyday isn't a good painting day, but hey, my hands are filled with colours.

4. SCRUBBING MY SOCIAL MEDIA WITH CLEANUP.

I feel, cleaning up your social media is such an important thing. Once in a month, I unfollow accounts on here and Instagram which no longer are active, which do not make me feel better about myself, which spam me a lot ( to those who flood my notifs with announcements, please stop annoying me 😂). It's also important to take mini social media breaks and learn to focus more on the greater deal of life.

5. WORKING OUT.

Even though I am a lazy panda, once I start working out, it's so refreshening! It cleanses me of all toxins and floods me with happy hormones. Yes, the hardest part is starting, but once I do, it's amazing. I should start working out once, again.
