Chapter 39: Crazy day
| BLAKE ADAMS |
I was so much caught up in Logan's conversation, which was the guy whom I was talking to earlier, that I didn't notice Lexi was not on my side. I frowned and searched the dance floor for a sight of Lexi and sure enough, she was there, moving tipsily.
I smiled and shook my head. This girl was different, and very difficult to understand. These days, she's been feeling wary. She's always zoning out, and I still hadn't understand her motive behind coming to this party. Alright, I knew she was hiding something, but I trusted her. I trusted her with my life, even. I don't know how she'll manage to do whatever she wants to do at this party, but I trust her and hope for her success.
The end of this semester was fast approaching and then thesis was scheduled. And after that, the session for our university would be over and finish. Which means, then I could finally ask Lexi out for marriage. I smiled at the thought of us married, living in a beautiful house and preparing for Christmas. Man, that'd be a wish coming true.
But there was another thing to worry, that Lexi was not where she was about five minutes ago. What the hell? I walked to the dance floor to check out myself but she wasn't there. I looked for Vince to ask if she had seen her somewhere but he was nowhere to be found, at least on the ground floor.
I continued upstairs and there, I saw Vince standing outside a room and talking to a girl in a manner which showed he was very much into business. I thought to better not disturb him and go on with my search. When I walked past the room Vince was standing outside of, I heard screaming.
Vigorous screaming. Loud, ear splitting and blood curdling screaming.
"Blaaaaahh!!! Mfg hmmph!!" The voice called from inside the room.
I turned around because the voice sounded tiny bit familiar.
And then, I saw the expression on Vince's face. His face was a bit pale and a forced sly smirk was creeping up on to his face.
I turned the door knob of the door quickly but it wouldn't budge. I turned towards Vince to ask him why the door was locked, that's when I saw him with a wicked smile. On instinct, I lurched towards him.
That bloody bastard!
Grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, I pulled him. "Where is Lexi?! Tell me!"
"Relax, dude. They are all ladies in there, no need to panic." He smiled at me.
"Ladies? What do you mean ladies? Where is Lexi? What did you do to her? Where is she?!" I yelled at his face.
He hissed. "Your voice is too loud. Calm down. I just need some answers from her. Not whole of her."
"Why is she in there? What is happening to her? What did you do, tell me right now!" I yelled again.
"If you just listen to me..." He glared at me. "I just need some answers from her so my ladies gave her a drug by which she'd speak fluently like water. That's all. That's why she screamed."
I stared at him for a minute and spoke, "I don't believe you. Open the door and let me in."
"Blake-"
"Fucking let me in!" I threw a solid punch at the wall right beside his face. "Let me in or I swear I'll break your face!"
That seemed to make him ponder over his next actions. Without saying, he took out a card from his pocket and unlocked the door. Just as the door was opened, a fruity fragrance of berries was dispersed in the atmosphere.
I cringed when I saw Lexi on the bed, and she was... Smiling? Why the hell was she smiling?!
I quickly ran over to her side and hugged her. "Are you alright? Did anyone hurt you?"
She giggled. "Look what the cat brought in." Hiccup. "I feel amazing! I feel like I'm on top of the world!"
In the room, there were two other ladies which I couldn't recognise. One was standing with Vince and other was smiling at me. She looked creepy while smiling at me, though.
"What did you do to her?" I asked the lady standing along with Vince. "Why was it necessary?"
"Just needed information, Blake. I told you already. We've taken it, we are done." Vince spoke for the lady.
"I'm sorry-" the lady beside him spoke but Vince cut her to it.
"No, you're not. Isaac won't be coming back to you so, shut the hell up." He spoke so coldly to the lady that she looked like she was about to cry. And wait a minute, Isaac? Lexi's brother?
"Isaac?" I asked curiously.
"Not your business." Vince snapped and tried to walk away.
"I'm really not in a mood to bash your face in, Vince. You better tell me." I said to him.
The lady giggled dryly. "Then what? Get our father to disown us? No, thank you very much."
Oh, so this is why they are doing this.
"Allison! You're freaking stupid! Adriano would freaking kill us!" Vince shouted.
"I'd rather die than do these illegal things for him, Vince! Drugging a girl and ruining her dignity? No, fucking thanks!" She shouted.
Vince and that Allison girl started arguing as I helped Lexi to get up. It was difficult to do so because she was resisting and smiling and giggling, it was too difficult. After some time in thought, I decided that enough is enough and grabbed her by the back of her knees and her neck. But when I was about to walk out the door, Vince stopped me.
"You ruined the plan for us."
"Well, thank God I did. Who knew you could be a back stabber?" I retorted back.
"Listen here. If you tell anyone about this, I can't promise to be a good friend now." He walked closer to me.
"You've never been a good friend, Vincent Accorsi." I shook my head and walked out.
"I'm serious, Blake. For mine and Allison's sake, don't tell anyone." Vince yelled after me and I rolled my eyes as I walked down the stairs and outside towards my car.
Don't worry, I wouldn't. But Lexi could.
My head started to throb the second I put her inside the warm atmosphere of the car. To describe today's event would be bittersweet to me. I've been to a dozen of parties but none of them was this crazy for me. My girlfriend was drugged for goodness' sake!
"Blake?" A girl's shivering voice stopped me from starting the car. I looked up and Allison was standing by the hood of the car, asking for me to come out and talk to her.
I sighed as I got out of car, and walked towards her. I leaned backwards on the car and smiled lip-tightly at her, urging her to talk. By God, my mind was whirling with a god damn load of question right then and I was trying so hard to stop myself from asking those questions.
"I... This paper- this right here," Allison showed me a piece of paper. "Can you... Give this to Isaac?" I narrowed my eyes. "Please?"
I took the paper from her and spoke, "And what does this contain?"
I was about to open it but she held my hand. "It's- you can't open it. I know you don't know anything but you should trust me."
I narrowed my eyes again, giving her an intimidating look. "What is inside it, you tell me or I open this paper?"
"It's just about me blabbering information to Isaac. You know," she cocked her head inside the car. "Alexandria's brother? I just wanted to tell him about my dad's plan but couldn't because he's tracing my every phone and account. Will you just give this to him?"
"Wait, hold on. Alexandria?" I was baffled and questioned.
"Yeah, are you interested in her?" She smiled.
"Her name is Alexandria? I thought it was Alexis or something..."
"You never knew?" She looked away. "I gotta go, don't want to be seen by my brother."
"Vince is your brother?" I asked again.
"Certainly! Make sure you give the paper to Isaac." She yelled as she strutted quickly back towards the villa.
I just stood there, interpreting all the things happened that day. Then I got back in the car and drove away.
What a crazy day it had been.
Hella freaking crazy.

There you have it. How was this chapter? Blake never knew her full name was Alexandria. Allison is guilty and Lexi is on drugs. Lol.
