Chapter 1: Annoying little bastard

Driving to first day of my senior year in Kingston University is never easy. Busy London traffic, everyone yelling and shouting, much more like a traffic war - if that's even a word. I don't understand the behavior of people on Mondays, I mean, why do they hate this day? What has this day done to them? It's on people's mood why they choose to be cranky. It's not Monday that makes you cranky or Friday that makes you happy. You choose to be this way.

I jumped - once again - when a car honked from just behind me. "Just wait a minute! You know how the traffic is!" I said, rather loudly, while rolling my window down. I was at a turning point, but the traffic on the onward road was too damn fast that I couldn't face up. Hell, I had several cars on my other side waiting to be turned over so they could go to their destination.

After probably twenty minutes later, I was in the campus, parking my white Audi. Not exaggerating, but my dad decided that it'd be cool if I drive this one beauty to my college. Stepping out, I caught several glances my way. What? Do I have something on my face? Oh my God. What if I do? I probably should check myself in the bathroom.

Walking in the bathroom, I checked my face. Nope, nothing's wrong. Still having the round brown eyes and a pink smile. I smiled shyly, watching myself in the mirror. I should get back to my first class. Which is Business Math. Oh, my favorite.

With my head held high, - like my sister said - I walked in to the classroom and sat on the second seat by the door and opened my Bus. Math book.

I was lost in maths when a hand was slammed down onto the desk, loud booming voice erupting from it and echoing in my ear, making me scream and shot back from the hand that was slammed onto the desk.

"Holy- What the-!" I couldn't even form a simple curse word. My brows furrowed, I looked up to see a guy, looking at me, smugly.

"Hey, there. You're sitting at my seat." The guy smirked. He had black hair, swiped upwards with a bit of one-inch long hair covering his ears. His eyes were sharp colour of Icy blue and purple. Something I've never seen. I wanted to stop staring but the lips he had seemed soft, plump lips that girls would like to kiss. And his body, which was hidden under his black shirt, I could say that it was quite defined and lean. He was wearing a black sleeved shirt with black jeans, a cooler type of tight.

"It's the first day. There are no assigned seats." I said, without stuttering. Woah, it was new of me.

"So? I want to sit where I want." He replied smugly.

"Yeah, but find another one, 'cause I came here first." I replied, watching the teacher that came in with his binder and pencil box. Why do they need a pencil box? It's not that they write essays and paragraphs.

"Stop with the middle school bullshit. Stand up from my seat and sit somewhere else." He looked annoyed.

"Is there a problem, students?" The male teacher asked. Looking at me and the black coal. Oops. Did I just call the guy black coal? Yes. Yes, I did.

"Sir. Just... Uh... Sitting problem, sir." I replied, stuttering.

"Why don't you guys sit along, then? Make some friends, yeah? After all, it is the first day of your senior year." The professor smiled.

"But-" Black coal protested but the professor held up his hand.

"No arguing. Sit down you two, so I can start the class, Mister... And Miss...?" He asked for our names.

"Adams." Black coal said.

"Michaelson." I said.

"Good. Now sit. Let the class begin." As if on cue, the bell rang, indicating that our class has started.

I sat down on the desk which was supposed to be sat on by two students. Impressive. I caught black coal staring at me with anger in his eyes. Chill out, black coal.

I wonder why I never saw him I the campus for the past years I spent here. Never once I saw him, nor met him.

Just as I was about to concentrate, a wrapped up little paper was thrown my way. I picked it up and looked at the direction where it came from with furrowed eye brows. A guy with Brown chocolaty hair and brown eyes was staring at me. Just when we made eye contact, he sent a wink my way and nodded his head to the note which rested on my hand.

"Meet me under the bleachers in Gym area. Not to be creepy or stanky, just want to talk. ;)"

My mouth formed and 'O' shaped. It hasn't been few hours and this guy is already hitting on me. What a creep.

I wrote back on the note.

"I'm okay. Thanks for your concern."

And threw it back, concentrating back on the white board, hearing what the lecturer was saying.

Fourty-seven minutes have passed and all I had done was trying to concentrate. But the black coal I had beside me, wouldn't let me concentrate. He'd randomly throw pen at me and scoff afterwards, or he'd cough just to be annoying. This one time, he actually did something ticklish. Rolling up a piece of paper, making a bit pointy, he inserted that slowly in my ear, and I was not warned of this.

I jerked back and glared at him for being nosey and annoying but he just laughed it off. "Don't annoy me." I said harshly.

"Why not?" He chuckled.

"It's annoying."

"Sure it is. That's why I'm doing it." He shook his head and laughs throatily.

Annoying little bastard.

Woah, why the hell my stomach was in knots?

I decided to ignore this snarky comment and let the hour pass by. Luckily, Business Maths was only one hour class. Soon, the time was over and bell rang, indicating that the class is over. I got up and packed my bag, getting ready to leave.

"Hey, wait." Black coal called and stomach started to jump. I don't know why.

"Hm?" I decided to be short and firm.

"What's your name? I couldn't catch it." He asked.

"What's yours?" I raised an eye brow. Black coal stared at me for a few seconds but he replied.

"It's, Blake. Blake Adams." He smiled slyly.

"Hello, Blake. It was very nice to meet you. I'm Lexi Michaelson." I replied sarcastically. "Now, do me a favour, please don't talk to me and step aside." Then I left the area, quickly walking to my locker.

Before walking away, I watched his expression go from smug to stunned.
