It's been a while,

That's how long it took for my thoughts to compile.

I realize I've pulled away,

Making room for my thoughts to go astray.

Having realized the chaos within,

I couldn't help but feel like I was failing.

Ultimate silence is what gave me compassion,

When all your words ever did was hurt me in ways I couldn't imagine.

So forgive me if my silence offended you,

Being by myself is what helped me get through.

I had to turn to solitude,

To heal my soul which you had devalued.

And in my solitude I found clarity,

Clarity with which I shall begin life again with sincerity .
