In the darkest of days,
I find solace only in you.
Knowing you wouldn't criticise,
I bare my emotions raw.
Flipping through your pages,
Every word is entrancing,
Every pause laced with dubeity,
Every ending to count upon.
I lend my ears with intent,
Unlike me you have a story to tell,
A story I'd want my children to know,
A story beyond religion,
A story with hope.
