7. Mis-Understandings?
"Ouch! Ouch!
No..Priya!
Stoppp it,I said!!!"
Siddhant heaved a sigh when Priya stopped giving massage to his shoulder and neck.
Last night, proved to be a very detrimental and unfavorable to him. Sarcastically,He didn't know that staring at wife and sleeping on a couch can be this harmful.
Since, morning he couldn't move his head sideways, just answering people with his head straight, and sideways glancing.
"Bhaiyaa!
Let me do it!"
"Na..Na..
I'm happy being like this!
Your massage will break my head bones!
You just leave me.."
He tried to move his head here and there but only his screams could be heard. And there came a smack on his head.
''When she's helping you, why are you shouting on her?
Take her help.."
Savita spoke while Siddhant, sat with a deep frown and teeth clenched, on the chair.
"Ahaha! You'll smack me. Now also?
She's your dearest daughter na...that's why loving her the most!
You are...ouch! Not even caring about me..in these times..
Just taking her side..
Ouch! Ah! Maa!"
He tried to move up his head to face his mother but only ended up screaming.
After hearing these sounds, Avyakta came out of the room and smirked. She stood, with hands upto her chest and rolled her eyes.
''Bhaiyaa! By the way, what did you actually do,yesterday night, to end up like this? Hun?"
Priya whispered in his ear and giggled.
Nonchalantly, he spoke," I was actually, about to shoot a terrorist cum girl name Priya. She was standing infront of me. Her hands tied upto the wall and I was teasing her by shooting her on her either sides and she was crying, 'No..I'll not harm the world. The people..
Don't kill me..Please!'
I kept my gun on my shoulder and-"
"You shot yourself?"
Priya laughed cutting her in between.
"Shut up!
I shot you and that action left a reaction on my shoulder.. that jerk..
And if you will not shut up with your stupid questions,I may hit you now, in reality!!"
Anger and irritation laced in his voice.
"Oh! I'm scared.
Tell me one thing! Where did you sleep yesterday?
Don't tell me, Bhabhi made you sleep on the floor."
Giggling Priya asked while standing from the chair beside Siddhant.
"Aha! She's not that bad,girl!"
"Siddhant.. Yeah! Tell where did you sleep?"
Savita asked while preparing the breakfast.
"Maa-"
He was about to say when Priya interrupted.
"On the floor!"
She giggled and Siddhant rolled his eyes.
He tried to speak again when Priya interrupted him.
"Avyakta bhabhi!
Why are you standing there?Come. Sit."
Avyakta, nodded but instead walked to kitchen to help Savita. Being much reluctantancy from Savita's side too, she worked with her.
Siddhant still sat with a straight face while others played with him, to look here and there.
He was furious. Very furious about his state and knew, was himself responsible for it.

The roads were full of cars, bikes, autorickshaws, pullers making the traffic out of control, similarly his anger too, had no limits now. First of all,Siddhant couldn't move his head sideways and secondly, the traffic did more.
Furrowing, Avyakta glanced at his direction. He would clench his fist, bang them on the steering and could see him murmering something, incoherent under his breathe.
After, his much efforts he was successful in coming out of Delhi's poor traffic. Avyakta sensed his discomfort. They were about to reach her hospital. But, then, Avyakta thought of something.
"Siddhant!! Look at that!!"
A sudden shriek hit his ears and in a swift, without waiting, he turned his head towards his left and lo! His face expressions changed, suddenly.
He was blank. Numb.
And slowly, a frown came on his face and horror struck,he looked at Avyakta, who sat, innocently, like nothing happen.
He glanced at her and blinked.
Once. Twice. Thrice.
Until, he saw her widening her eyes and screaming.
''Si-Siddhant look ahead!!"
In swift, he looked again and saw a car speeding towards them, until he turned the steering. He was left terror struck, panicked and panted.
A sudden apply on breaks left them, gaping.
He thought, today was his last day. His head might have gone, a set of broken bones.
Avyakta was panicking but soon it died down as she saw her Hospital,a few metres away.
Siddhant was still sitting with a petrified face and couldn't utter a word. She could see sweat beads forming on his head. His palm's vein popping out.
"Sid-Siddhant.."
She tried to call him. He turned his face towards her, gradually, while still shock with the things that happened a moment before.
He was totally dazed out.
But as soon as,he was gaining his senses back. His expressions were becoming hard. He clenched his jaw, eyes were fireballs, nose flaring, cheeks were red but one could say he was controlling himself.
Avyakta, tried to look away when his voice hit her ears.
"Avyakta!
Will you mind to tell, what was that?"
She could guess that whether he spoke gently but there was a tone of displeasure and fury.
She looked away and tried to look outside. She knew she did a blunder but wait! She looked at him who was glaring at her.
"Mm..Sid- Siddhant..
Your neck! Your neck is al..alright!
See!"
Siddhant sensed something. He looked ahead and then,to left and right. His neck was okay, now. A sudden change in expression could be seen on his face, again. Delighted he was. Yeah! He was fine.
Avyakta, sat there with a guilty yet satisfied face. She shouldn't have done this to him, diverting his mind from driving. Who knows..they could face an accident, too.
With a head bowed down, she sat while playing with her Identity Card.
Siddhant, was busy playing with his
Neck. He would move here and there.
"Siddhant.. Look I'm sorr-"
"Woah! My neck's safe!"
Avyakta looked at him awkwardly as he was looking himself in the front mirror, with a smile on his face.
A stare from Avyakta brought his head to look at her, who had a confused look.
He knew he was acting childish, so stood straight.
"What?"
He asked stealing her glances.
"Continue."
She asked him still having an awkward stare.
"No. Please. You say!"
She huffed.
"I'm sorry..
I didn't had any..int..ention to hurt us. So..mm..sorry.."
She spoke, looking ahead.
"But see..Na..My head is fine!
I should be thankful to you..Avyakta!"
He had a glint of happiness in his voice.
"Okay! Okay!
My hospital's here. I should be going. Now."
She picked up her bag and opened the door. She turned and looked at him back through window.
"If you don't want to face such neck breaking incidents better to sleep on bed. I will sleep on couch and yesterday night, I told you to sleep on bed but..
Well! I'm not being desperate. I just..don't want to see such things happening again.
Have a good day!"
With a stern yet gentle voice, she confessed him and walked away, to her destination, leaving him twitching his lips.

Life is tough indeed and at last it can prove to be a beautiful one, just all it matters our fate and the circumstances, one face.
And Siddhant's family have started thinking that she was getting back to normal. She would talk and chuckle, now. And all thanks to Ruchi and Priya too, who took her hesitation out but Siddhant was no less than help, too. Even though, Savita denied her to work with her in kitchen but she couldn't sit like that. She's not a guest but is the member of the Sharma family. There were times when Avyakta would serve them dinner and our hero, Siddhant would just look at her innocent face. Savita's eyes would well up seeing her, and Avyakta would have to hug her to console her saying that she was okay.
But, amidst all these things, Siddhant knew that there was no need to become cheerful before the win. Something , he was dreading could be up at anytime, soon.
Avyakta's unsolved questions. How will he tell her?
The courage. From where will he bring that. He left that only on the fate that was bringing these things for him.
But today, Avyakta was in her deep thoughts while sitting on the couch.
A book, in her hands, which she took from the book shelf in their room. Only her mother's words, who took a visit in the morning along with her father, kept ringing in her mind. Avyakta was happy for their surprise visit.
The conversation they had led her in dilemma.
"How are you Avyakta?
Are you fine living with Siddhant and his family?"
Her mother asked patting her head, affectionately.
Avyakta kept her head on her shoulder and hummed. Certain questions roamed in her mind.
She sniffed and asked her mother while playing with her fingers.
"Mumma, Why did you sent me away to a distant land? Why did you bring me up like a strongest girl but just to part me away from the relationships I share with you?"
Her mother smiled.
"Beta, It's not that I sent you here because I hate you. No!
We never hate or despise any girl of our house and you know that.
It's like every girl has to go to her new house a day or the other. She has to live with a new family and walk every step of her life with her husband only. Not only you but he also.
Plus, we knew that you are an independent and confident girl, capable to stand on her own feet."
"Mumma.. Is that really necessary?"
"Why did you come here?"
"Because you sent me here."
Her mother hit her head and a chortle hit Avyakta's ears.
"Darling! Because it's your house now. Siddhant is your husband."
Listening to her mother's words, caused butterflies in her stomach. Hearing that siddhant as her husband is something new, she heard.
But her face grew despondent and it was noticed by her mother.
"Maa.. you were aware of my condition but still you sent me, here. Why?"
"Because we never thought you as abnormal baccha. You were all fine that's why we sent you here.
This is a place you have to live your whole life. Though, the doors of your maternal house are always open. And we could have kept you with us but what about Siddhant? Hmm?
What's the problem, dear?"
"Mumma,I don't know.
I have some of my insecurities. I..feel like outcast, sometimes.
I-I feel Like..losing hope and what hope should I nurse, Mumma?
That..my..memory will return back. Something that's impossible."
She smirked with dilated eyes.
She sensed her daughter's condition.
She knew she was happy among each one of them but Siddhant.
"Come straight to point.
You feel awkward while you are with Siddhant. Right?
You feel insecure while you are with him.
Because I have never seen my daring queen like this helpless."
Avyakta had to agree with her.
"Okay! Tell me one thing.
What if we ask you to..divorce Siddhant?
And like..after few years whenever you want..you can search for your bride..yourself!"
Avyakta was shocked beyond hell. She stood up from her embrace, sitting straight and staring at her mother,as if she has told some bitter secret about her life.
Avyakta looked ahead and something hit her head. This is impossible.
"Very bad idea, No?"
No voice from her side. She was surprised. She couldn't think to marry anyone else, now. Tears could make their way down anytime, soon. Though, in these past few months, she has not shared any type of relationship things with Siddhant but whatever he has and was doung till now for here, she could sense herself. She knew there were times when she hated him because he was her husband but now she couldn't even think of hating him. His family. How much, they have supported her in the times of distress. She was much grateful to them. But why today, she felt a pang, when her mother asked her to divorce, Siddhant? Unaware, she was. Maybe, she was grateful to him for the things he had done for her and she was somewhere, aware to the fact that she was bound by some vows which the couple takes, during the time of marriage.
"Listen, Avyakta.
Siddhant is now your husband and you his wife. This is a fact which you have to agree. You don't know what he has done for you while you were in coma. He cried mercilessly till late night just for you. He went mad to wake you up from Coma. He would eat nothing but stare at your lifeless body. He was in complete trauma.
Avyakta...now it's your turn to show your love and compassion to that boy. Poor boy is broken from inside but never shows infront of you. I can understand it will take time for you to adjust with him but support him like you used to do bef.."
She paused and smiled at her. The past which was gone was gone. It has no turning back,so she thought not to bring it in between.
"Accept him. Behold him,his habits. Talk to him. Discover your relationship.
In return,He'll love you more and respect you.
Beti..I'm always with you..and think for your betterment even if the world is against you. You are my warrior and strong daughter..Live like you are. Leave your fears, behind. This is new for you but accept the things around you.."
Avyakta was surprised as to how her mother know these things, especially, Her insecurities.
"Maa? How do you know that-"
"Remember, I'm your mother?"
She hugged her daughter in her warm embrace. Avyakta was happy to get that known warmth after many days.
Avyakta walked to balcony and stared ahead. Is she really going to give this marriage a chance? Will she be able to accept him? What..if..something happens?
But a voice that came from her inside was that she should. She collected the things that happened in past few months. How he helped her to love herself. How he fed her. How he sometimes crackes jokes.
She believed that he should be given a chance. A chance to the marriage in which she was tied without her acknowledgement, for now.
All-of-a-sudden,cutting off her from thoughts, she heard some noises. She looked down at the balcony and saw someone standing with a wine bottle. She tried to look down from each corner of the balcony but it was the another side and remained invisible.
But to her shock there stood Siddhant with a bottle of wine and he spoke rudely to someone on phone.
"Not now..please..
I..am literally..sick of..you..Arshi..you just get off my..way.."
He had occasional hiccups. Exhausted and Debilitated, were some of the features one could define for him. Though, his back was facing her but still she recognise him.
The scene infront, literally shocked her to the core. Siddhant was the person whom she thought would have never touched wine or cigarette. Not even him but any member of their family. How she wanted to set everything normal with him but everything got ruined.
With a heavy heart, she thought , better to sleep. The more she would think of it, the more it will pain her.
Avyakta's life was becoming a hard nut to crack.

.
.
Morning rays hit her eyes. Turning to other side, Avyakta kept the blanket on her face but to create more mess, alarm beside her rang but it was soon closed. She, annoyingly, opened her eyes only to find the man whom everyone calls her husband, staring straight into her eyes. Siddhant was up early than Avyakta only to see his ever beautiful wife, sleeping. A lone tear escaped from the poor boy's eyes whose one hand supported his head. As soon as she opened her eyes, he averted back.
Avyakta came back to her senses and everything that happened yester night flashed before her. Without even glancing him, she stood with a face that only had fury, anger and betrayal and walked towards washroom.
Siddhant again looked downcast and cursed himself for his recent actions.
.
.
.
.
.
It was the time when they both had to leave for their office. Meanwhile, since the morning incident Avyakta didn't even exchange a word with Siddhant. She tried to ignore him as possible ,she could and looked somewhat, disturbed. But Siddhant didn't felt it right. He sensed her and thought of asking but how could he when she even refused to even give a glance to him.
Siddhant came into his room to take his mobile phone and watch. But to his surprise, as soon as he opened his phone, he read something that soon took over his temper. Siddhant threw his phone on the bed and walked away to washroom.
Sooner, Avyakta made entry in room only to see his phone lying in the middle of the bed.
She took it to keep it in lamp post since it was lying carelessly. Suddenly, while keeping the phone on the lamp post her finger, accidently, touched the phone and a video started playing which drew her attention.
She looked at it, only to throw it immediately. How Malice it was. Avyakta wanted to puke now.
She felt disgusted but hearing someone's sound she composed herself.
.
.
.
.
.
Siddhant and Avyakta sat in the car, complete silence covered the atmosphere. Siddhant was eager to know what was going inside her that tensed her whereas Avyakta was boiling in anger. She never thought that he would demean himself to this extent.
"Av..Avyakta.. are you okay?
I mean..since morning you are like..lost somewhere..
I don't.. want to intrude in your matters but you..can share with me.." Siddhant spoke to lighten the environment.
But she remained quite as usual and looked outside the window. Siddhant took glances of her but still no budge.
Few minutes later a voice hit his ears.
"Siddhant..Such a big Hypocrite you are no?"
She spoke with a challenging voice.
He looked with an amused smile while focusing ahead, driving.
"Why?"
A smirk adorned her face.
"You can't fulfill your physical desire with me, so you..you..Mr.Siddhant took another way of fulfilling it."
"Avyakta! What are you saying, actually?"
Shock was evident on his face.
"Well, I have reached my destination."
The car stopped and without uttering another word, in swift, she walked away. There sat Siddhant, completely baffled by her words.
Avyakta was completely moved by it.
Whole day, though, her mind was occupied in back-to-back appointments with many patients but still that thing came before her, repeatingly.
"Hi! Dr. Avyakta speaking?"
It was Dr.Arun who spoke on the other line of the phone call.
"Yeah! Who's that?"
"I'm Dr.Arun, Avyakta ji..
Remember?"
"Oh! Yes..Hello Dr."
"Hello! I just called to ask about your health ,Avyakta ji..
Are you fine now?"
"Yes,Dr..
Two months back, as you know my plaster took off, so I don't feel any problem in that hand. I'm alright.
I'm actually working, now. Going to hospital daily."
"Oh! That's great. But..I must advice you to not stress yourself, too much. It's not completely fine for you, at least for now. You still need complete one year for your recovery.
If you have any arguments or something better to ignore it or resolve them as quickly as possible. No need to stress yourself be happy."
She talked a bit more with him and cut off the line.
Dr. Avyakta Sharma,Gynecologist, it wrote outside her cabin, was fighting with various things in her mind.
Similarly,Mr. Siddhant Sharma, Director,Ministry Of External Affairs,It wrote outside but the person inside was himself tensed, battling with the arrow like words of his wife.
.
.
.
.
.
Avyakta and Siddhant remained quite as usual. She tried to maintain distance from him as soon as possible. Two days past and there were same actions from her side. For, a moment she would think that her mother was wrong judging Siddhant. Betrayal, she was suffering from .
In the night, during dinner he continued his stare to get her attention and she took no notice of it. While, entering inside the room, he stood infront her and blocked her way. She would try to go towards left, he would come there. Towards Right, he would come there. But she would never meet with his eyes.
At last, she pushed him and went inside.
"Avyakta!?
What's that? Why are you ignoring? What was the meaning of your words in the morning, that day?"
He turned to face her, while closing the door. Her back faced him.
"Avyakta?"
He tried to remain calm.
She remained stiff, her fists clenched, eyes, closed controlling the wrath.
He called out her name again.
"You are asking me? Hun?"
She smirked and turned to face him.
"I have never seen such a.. I don't know if I should us..this word but you are a cheapster.."
"Arey?! Will you just tell me what happened?"
"Didn't you just checked your phone?
Did you?
Check it,now."
Listening to her, he took out his phone and did as she said.
As soon as he saw it, in terror he threw his phone away.
A video in which There was a girl who was naking herself and wrote I love you,Siddhant with many love emojies.
"Seen??"
Gritting her teeth, she spoke.
"How did..Means..she'll go to this..extent.. this Arshi!!"
He sat on the bed, completely astonished.
"Avyakta, listen I' m never into this..okay? You should believe me..please.
This girl works in my office and after knowing about your condition, she is behind me. I have..told her many times but she's never ready to leave me..
Trust me!"
He spoke with pleading eyes.
For a moment, she thought to believe his words but what if he's cheating.
"Good.. Mr.Siddhant.. very Good..
What a story!
Not only this, yesterday night I saw you..uff!! I saw you holding a wine bottle. Your clothes completely distorted, you were hiccuping, you were completely featuring a drunken man. Mr.
I never thought, you are a drunkurd too..
I feel that It was better that I slapped you that day. You deserved that."
She whispered the latter.
In rage, he stood up and walked near her.
"It's enough, Avyakta.. Enough..I said!!"
He shouted at her.
"I never Drink! I have never even touched it and you talk about drinking hun??
Indigestion was the reason for my hiccups. Tension and workload were the reason for my distorted clothes.
And that bottle..
You just..can't judge someone like this!
You just wait for the next morning,Avyakta.. you'll get the answers for each of your questions.."
His sound echoed in the whole room.
"I'll see to it..Siddhant..
Don't bribe and caught them in your trap.
I'll see what is the truth behind your story.."
Gritting her teeth she walked,to sleep.
"Before, applying false statements on anyone you should find the truth.
Avyakta..JI!!"
His voice had the emotion of fury.
His eyes were red with anger.
They both slept their back facing to each other. Both had tears of anger and betrayal. Only, the next morning will bring something new for both the souls.
.
.
.
.
.
Siddhant made Avyakta met the boy who live in their locality. He told her about how he being, just 18 years old has an addiction of alcohol. How he was caught by Siddhant that night and scold him. He took his bottle and trashed it. He asked her to believe Siddhant.
After listening to her, Avyakta felt guilty but still he wanted to gather proofs.
While, they were going to their respective workplace. Siddhant didn't stop at the hospital and went straight ahead. She asked him to stop the car but no budge from his side. Gritting his teeth, he continued driving and stopped in a park.
He asked Avyakta to get off from car and took her to a girl who was seated on a bench.
"Arshi!"
He called out her name.
The blue frock dressed, girl turned towards them. She looked like a professional though. He motioned Avyakta to talk to her and himself went away.
The black silk saree dressed, Avyakta met her.
"Hi! Avyakta-"
"No need of it..come straight to point..tell me..the truth..
Did you know what you did?
Do you even feel ashamed of yourself?"
Guilt completely evident on the girl's face. After sometime, she looked up to face the raging Avyakta.
.
.
.
.
.
Siddhant and Avyakta were Silent, since the time they met. One had guilt and resentment inside and one had betrayal and anger evident on their faces.
"I- I'm sorry... Siddhant.."
Avyakta spoke. Her face showed that she may cry anytime. How could she judge someone like this?
This was very mean of her. She was not like this but maybe her insecurities towards him made ger to do so.
Her voice touched his heart. How could Avyakta doubt him? How?
The one who believed and trusted him, herself betrayed him by not believing him. He never thought that he would face some problem like this.
"Sid..Siddhant.."
Avyakta called out his name, again.
A lump formed in her throat.
"Arshi..confessed everything that she did..how she's behind you Everytime.. How she want to take a place in your heart..
She was regretting and had guilt evident. She asked for the forgiveness.."
She paused and wiped of the tears that were now became as stream.
"I know..it's not your fault but..
You should understand that..how I felt when I'm unaware of the things around me?
But still I regret and seek for your Forgiveness.. Siddhant..
It was my fault.."
She paused and looked outside the window. The lush green trees danced along the wind. The cars moved past their cars in high speed.
How did he forgot about her condition? But still she hasn't forgotten to trust someone, to believe someone. They were with her for past few months and still she would think this low.
Siddhant remained quite for sometime until they reached her hospital. Avyakta was about to get down the car, suddenly, she heard his voice.
"Avyakta..
Since, childhood I only learned never to break faith with anyone.
The time we married, I took vow that in my life there would be one and only one women in my life Id est my wife which is you, Avyakta.
I never want to recall this Avyakta but you compelled me to say.
You forgot...everything we did.. for you?
This means..you are not trusting us... You could have atleast a bit of trust on us.."
His eyes show the emotions of betrayal.
"And you know what, I'm not a cheapster!
But anyways, I think you're getting late..you please leave.."
Leaving Avyakta in her thoughts,he drove away. Avyakta felt that. She understood how he must have felt but all she could do now was apologize.
