13. Serendipity

The Dhak-Dhak of Royal Enfield Classic 35,gradually died down as it came to hault in the parking of the city's temple. Siddhant,Avyakta and the little Sanyukta slowly got down from the Bike. Adjusting her dupatta on top of her head,Avyakta held Sanyukta's little palm in hers, who was beaming in happiness, which drew smiles on both the adults' faces.
It was a usual Sunday morning and Siddhant decided to have an outing with Avyakta, who at first was quite hesitating at his offer but lastly agreed. Though, she has learnt to live in his presence but the days she was now in,seemed quite awkward and nervousness was crepting in his presence. But in his absence,it was something else.
As they both walked towards the door, Sanyukta showed her wish to go with them and Siddhant being her Mama(Uncle),can't disagree to the little girl's wish. Avyakta on the other side, felt quite relaxed as she would have someone besides Siddhant, with her.

She walked inside the Temple and a sudden Nostalgia hit her. Her eyes met with those walls, the surroundings and the captivating aura. Whilst in the background,  melodious voices of probably various singers with a music that provided purity in the whole vicinity, receded down her ears. She was captured by the alluring peace and divinity she got from that place. It was beautiful. Indeed it was!

She paused only to find her taking in everything. Maybe, the place seemed familiar to her. The lush green plants swayed on their own accord as a light breeze hit them. The bells of the temple took her to elsewhere, a rhythmic sound, it felt.
Soon, the lady in cotton Kameez Salwar was brought back to her senses, when her ears heard the small chirps made by Sanyukta, who called her.

Looking down to her level she found her gazing at her suspiciously but Avyakta's smile assured her. As soon as she took her hand and moved towards the temple, someone manly, not less than 6'2,came into her peripheral vision. She turned to find Siddhant over there clasping the little hands of Sanyukta with his. The trio moved ahead giving the feel of a happy family.

Reaching inside, She stared at the idol of Radha-Krishna, together, bringing a sense of joy inside her. Her palms,on their own, joined together, and the eyes closed down with a feeling of deep devotion and enchanting surroundings.

Siddhant,on the other side noticed the difference inside her, since the time she entered the temple. While his hands were clasped within his, his gaze was all over her face just to have a glimpse of the sudden change of behaviour she had. His eyes travelled to her deep set of eyes, that were closed and the slow lipsync. An accidental push on his shoulder by someone and his gaze broke down from her face.
After sometime, Siddhant and Sanyukta decided to have a tour of the vast temple, while granting a leave from Avyakta.
She overlooked each and every place of the temple. Everything.. seems relatable.. Why this sudden Nostalgia,as if she had visited the place?
She walked around the temple and realized the change of weather. The breezes changed into cold winds that would hit her but felt good. Gazing up,she found the open sky covered with black-bluish clouds, which made her amazed at the beauty of nature. The Perpetually divine atmosphere engulfed into the whole atmosphere relaxed her inner self. The rains might arrive soon.
Across, the beautiful gardens which had rose, marigold, lily, she walked. There was a Shivalinga in the middle of the open ground, infront of the temple. She stroded towards it, climbed up the few steps and watered it. Chanting something under her breathe, she sat down infront of it,while the others to sat beside her ,and She stared. A deep melancholy hit her and she would pray to the divine power.

'Hey Shiva!
I hail you...
Thank you..Thank you for everything!
In my life, whatever you gave to me I accepted it with all my heart. Be it all the stresses, happiness or persons. And I believe whatever you give or your devotee asks for you happily serve him/ her.
Maybe, It's all the results of Karma about whatever I'm facing today.
But... why Him? Why did that poor soul whose with me, giving me all the care, the extra care, suffer much because of me?
At first, I was angry. Exasperated with you. For pushing me into this condition. But... I understood the things gradually. It's all my fate.

But...
He came again in my life as a...
Saviour.
I might drown myself into depression with a burden of being an amnesiac. The society is cruel. Very. But, what can I do when everything is in your hands.
Though, I'm a doctor but he helped me heal my wounds. My trust has been broken by many but what is it that makes me trust him more?

And,Parmeshwara? What about his wounds, he's been nursing since long?

This time I'm asking for His happiness. Let it never wash away from his life. Fulfill all his wishes. I just want only this. Keep his family that is mine too, safe always. Nothing else!
Fulfill a small wish of mine.

Today,Again, I want nothing but wish to get him whatever he wants in life...'

Opening her eyes, her gaze straightaway met with his',who stood with a lively smile with Sanyukta, few metres away. Probably, doing something with his hands, when those eyes asked her something. She denied shaking her head sideways. The Shivalinga decorated with all the fruits and flowers, took back her attention as the slow winds touch her face.
A smile made her face,as she last time joined her palms infront of it and then cascaded down the few stairs.

As she neared towards Siddhant and Sanyukta, they called her to the place they were standing at. The temple was indeed  grand and at the corner she found a place, beautiful as ever. The cute giggles of Sanyukta with Siddhant's manly one drew her attention. They were basically feeding the chirping sparrows in the large courtyard in the corner of the temple. Siddhant had the small palm of Sanyukta in his and would together, threw the  mixture of various pulses and corns towards the sparrow. Sanyukta would clap whenever the birds would eat their food thrown by her. Siddhant would laugh along with her.

When Avyakta reached towards them, she saw him capturing Sanyukta's actions in his phone. Avyakta was smiling, at her cute antics, when suddenly she was too captured in his device. Sanyukta and Siddhant saw her sudden change of expression and giggled at her.

She walked to Sanyukta and bent towards her level. Sanyukta, coyly offered her the feeding material and asked her to feed the sparrows and pigeons.

"A small chirping girl is infront of me. Should I feed her too?"
Avyakta asked the little girl infront of her and tickled her.She laughed at her words.

They both went near the birds, and continued feeding them. In these all times, a feeling of being carefree engulfed her. Her smile would grow wide at the scene before her, the small sparrows who would fly in the sky after having their meal, the pigeons, all white and blue would feed themselves and their loved ones. They were all busy in their own worlds. Sanyukta would clap whenever she would see the birds feeding upon the pulses.

"Yeah! Great pose..
Just stand this way only!"
A voice recognizable to her ears, hit her. She stood straight with a blank face as if he was asking her to do so. Why was he taking her picture? Moments past and she turned her face to see Siddhant clicking pictures of a newly wed, who probably were travellers. He asked them to do so.

Returning them the camera,he walked towards Avyakta who later got busied feeding the birds but the couple stopped him, thanking him, they asked if he was with his wife. When told, they asked them to get a picture clicked.

Siddhant tried to deny their wish but they being delighted with his help, wanted them to have a picture as a Thanksgiving. Siddhant and Avyakta stood closer beside each other, whereas, infront stood Sanyukta with her ever charming smile.

Their was still much gap between them and the male traveller asked them to get more closer. Again, Avyakta was engulfed in nervousness. But to her surprise, a touch, which ran down a current down her spine, was felt. She looked to find Siddhant's hand on her waist from behind, pulling her more closer to him. Though that day, t'was covered with her Kurti but she could still feel the touch of his fingers. Unknowingly, a smile made on her face as she stared at him, with a little widened eyes, who stared ahead with his evergreen smile.
The weather that day was also enough to make her breathing, raging.
And..

CLICK!

She didn't realize when did they get captured in the camera. She smacked internally, as her face was turned towards Siddhant. She would probably be getting herself embarrassed when he would look at their picture. What has happened to her?

"She's your daughter?
Too beautiful!"
The female traveller asked in her Rajasthani accent, probably,to Avyakta. She was quite surprised at her question. Turning her face, her eyes met with Siddhant, who stared at her with an equal suprise like her.

"Yes Aunty.
Maybe, they're not my father and mother but they didn't leave a chance to pamper me like their own child. They are my Aunt and Uncle."
When Siddhant and Avyakta were busy looking at each other with surprise, Sanyukta cleared the traveller's confusion, smiling. She laughed at her and ruffled her hair.

Thanking Siddhant, they took leave from there.
Why people enjoy adding insult to injury? Thought Avyakta.

The trio walked towards, the other side of temple which was left. Sanyukta was in Siddhant's arms who were busy in their own worlds. While, Sanyukta would question and Siddhant would clarify each and every things they see. Avyakta could only chuckle in between.

"Mamu..Who are they?"

"They are God and Goddess,Shiva and Gauri along with their kids, Ganesha and Karthikeya".
Spoke Avyakta,pinching Sanyukta's nose,smiling, before Siddhant's explanation.

"Then..Avu Mami(Aunty)..Why are they sitting together? They are friends?"
She asked staring, confused at their idols. Avyakta chuckled and nodded. Siddhant was listening to their conversation, intensely.

"Yes. They are friends and Husband Wife..too.."
She looked at them. While, the people from their sides Continued to walk, hustling.

"Like you both? Haha!
I heard Sid..telling you that you are his friend and I know..you are husband wife too.."
Avyakta and Siddhant again looked at each other, but burst out laughing, leaving the little girl, confused.
Walking outside the temple, Siddhant enquired Sanyukta.
"Hey chirping bird!
Aren't you speaking much today hun?"

Avyakta shaked her head sideways at her silliness, smiling and excusing them she went back to the temple.

"Who asked you to eavesdrop our conversation? What else are you hiding in your treasure box, hun?"
He tickled her and she laughed along with him.

Avyakta came with a sort of grey powder in her hand towards them and stood before them. She took a pinch of it and applied on Sanyukta's forehead. While with the remaining, she stared at it. Siddhant,on the other side, noticed her expressions.
She forwarded her palm to him,so that he can apply it on his forehead but instead it left her all surprised.

Taking a pinch of it,he spread it on her forehead and she could only stare at him. He was leaving her surprised, alot, nowadays.

"Now..Mami.. your turn to apply on Sid's forehead.."
She chirped.
Gradually, Avyakta took it and apply the Tilak on his forehead. In this whole time, Siddhant could stare in her eyes to search something, which ultimately drew a smile on her face.

The clouds and wind have already decided to create a serenity in the air. Meanwhile, they could hear the tthunder sounds.

He got Sanyukta down from his arms making her stand straight. Taking her hands back, Avyakta looked at his face. But why?

Standing in the corner of the temple,he  came closer to her and bent his head towards her neck. Leaving his hot breathes near the neck and her ear,he whispered something. After, that she was left with no words as She could look at his retreating figure with widened eyes. He had a mischievous smile and grabbing Sanyukta's hand,he took her with Avyakta, gradually following them.

Though, he was talking to the small girl with him but he turned to look back at her,who was drowned in her own thoughts. He winked at her and in response, she raised her eyes.
How can he speak something to her,so easily?
Why can't she protest to whatever flirty he does or comments with her?

Their stranded hair swayed as the winds touched them.

They decided to call it a day as the trio sat on the bike. From the side mirror,Siddhant noticed her reaction with his mischievous smile plastered on his face. She was still thinking about his words, maybe.

Her hair swayed with the air and unknowingly a smile made down on her lips as his words kept ringing in her ears.

"Don't stare at me this way..
Otherwise..
You'll fall in love with me..."
Were his words.

Siddhant and Avyakta now, again got busied in their lives with the satisfaction of having a calm and ataraxy life. Siddhant was glad that the events occurred in past few months have sweeped away with the course of time.
Avyakta,on the other hand, became comfortable that she started liking each and every member of their family.
Though, after knowing the events, happened with her, it took time for her to agree with the fact that she was suffering from Amnesia and moreover 'was'going to become a mother of a child who was no more in this world. She would self pity on herself but Siddhant would help her to not let herself drown in this thing and love herself. He would sometimes take her to roam around the city, to casual walks or just an outing. This was the reason why Avyakta felt everyone, everything beautiful around.

But,From a few days, an unknown, new for her, feeling was budding inside her. Something which she really was outlandish to.
Whenever, her hand would accidently brush with Siddhant, her heartbeat would become raging. During the time all would sit together for their breakfast, Dinner or just usual gathering, unknowingly, her gaze would go to Siddhant. And the moment Siddhant caught her staring, she would avert her eyes, making him obvious to the fact that she must have developed something inside her heart. Both would smile at this sudden event, looking away from each other. Moreover, she has started cracking jokes with him and with Sanyukta, getting a little best friend in her.

One usual day, after having few appointments, while standing in the canteen,Avyakta was lost somewhere . Soon with the sound of her phone's notification, she came back to reality. She switched on her phone, which still had the background picture of Avyakta and Siddhant.

Wanna have Shikanji, today?
Dr. Avyakta?

(Shikanji-  A type of lemonade, originated from the northern part of India.)

This left her surprised for a few minutes because in these months he never texted or called her but still seeing his message adorned a smile on her face. But she,for sometime, stopped and  didn't replied and stood there with a soft smile.

"Si..Siddhant..how was your day?"
Siddhant drove as Avyakta asked her. He felt happy that she asked it for like after many months.

"Hmm..Good!
You tell?"
He drove the car in other direction, that lead to the bazaar.
She replied 'good'.

"You really love Shikanji. Don't you?"
Siddhant smiled and looked at her.

"Hmm.. How do you...I mean how did you planned for this out of blue?
Today is Just a normal working day."
Avyakta asked as the car halted.

Siddhant had a smile and he looked at her wife. He drew closer and stared in her eyes.
"Can't I even spent some time with my wife? Hmm?"

Reciprocating the same actions, Avyakta had a tint of smile on her face. She was captivated and her heart skipped a beat at the mention of 'my wife'.

"I think..we should get going."
Smiling,Avyakta got out from the car. She felt nervous whenever he looked at her in this way.Siddhant, rolled his eyes and kept his head on the steering.

"Oye! You slept?"
Avyakta called him and he came out from the car.

"No..I wa-" He felt a strong pull on his hand as he was pulled to the other side, harshly and swiftly. He was unable to calculate the sudden happening. In daze, he stood there only to hear a horn and a big truck drove past him that was about to run into Siddhant. With horror-stricken, eyes he only stared at Avyakta who was calling him from past few seconds. Avyakta became hysterical and screamed at him calling his name. Coming out completely from the horrified state,
he asked her what happened.

"Siddhant!!
I called you dozen times. You okay Now?"
Frowning her eyebrows and with a tensed face she asked him. He nodded but soon smiled.
''How can you be Okay?
Look at your hand it's bleeding.Ptch." She looked at him and saw the cut that might have formed in the process of pulling him to the other side, through car. Avyakta brought her emergency kit from her bag and took his hand.

Her face still showed anger and tension. Harshly pulling his hand, she started applying a gel. He had a smile because, while seeing her this tensed and the way she was murmering or more precisely, showing her anger murmering something under her breathe while doing her work, made him feel like his old Avyakta was back.

"God knows where were you lost..
Can't you just see what's behind you, infront you, beside you? Hun?
Now see, the outcomes...
If something might have happened to you??"
She was doing the duty of a wife to scold her husband whenever he does something wrong.
But Mr. Siddhant was lost smiling and he felt that she might have felt pain just by seeing his wound, instead of him.
"Hello..come out of your La la land.
You heard what I asked? Stop smiling!
That truck was about to run over you and you are smiling."
She made a dirty face at him while keeping her things back in car.

"We are born warrior. For us, these dangers are nothing. We played with Fire in childhood and dangers..haha.
they are, our daily usual things...we play with them what's this fear, then?
And why did you got scared?" He stood with such pride that even the great Bahubali would join his hands in front of him, bowing him, sarcastically.

"Fire..Dangers...hmm..
Don't you feel it's too much? Like intolerable for me..
Mr. Siddhant with your due permission if you are done, can we just move, ahead?"
She asked, peeved. He took her glance and bowing down, he gestured her to move.

Avyakta walked ahead him and Siddhant like her bodyguard cum lover walked behind her, having a coy smile.
"And It is obvious to get scared for other person,in this situation."

After drinking their desired drink, they roamed the bazaar. Avyakta looked around the things hanged around many shops. Her gaze fell on
Siddhant who walked beside her, explaining each and every thing as if she isn't aware of. He had dark black hair which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were deep black and had dark eyebrows, which got raised whenever he laughed, like now. His face was strong and defined, his features molded from granite. His perfect sharp nose and perfect lips that ripe for kissing. Kiss? Avyakta praised Siddhant's features and smacked herself at the latter. He had cheeks which form red hue whenever she would tease him. His hand which brushed with her was generating sparks. She saw him change his expression, twiching his lips upward in confusion, soft smile that adorn his face and an innocent face which had his many girl fans.
Just by looking at his face that was indeed Handsome, why her heartbeat grew erretic?

"Avyakta!!" A voice hit her ears. Why was Siddhant Staring at me furrowing his eyes? She thought.
She got back to her senses and saw him standing with raised eyebrows as if asking her dilemma.
"What?" Avyakta asked.
"You..were having a hard face a moment ago..and smiling since the time I'm calling you..Are you fine?
We have reached the end of the market, shall we go back to our home now??"

Avyakta mentally smacked her head. Good time to embarrass herself. She nodded awkwardly as they started back their journey.
"I doubt if that Shikanji seller had mixed something in your drink."
Siddhant had a doubtful face while biting his nails. Avyakta,on the other side, poked her tongue out and regreted her decision of looking at him like this way. She wasn't aware why she stared him that way but still smiled a bit. Whereas, Siddhant knew that she was falling for him and acted as if he didn't know anything but lastly he smiled.

Both of them sat in the car as if they are unaware what is inside their pounding hearts with a hearty smile.

"Avyakta.. The room in which You were staying, got a new bed. One can live now there."
Avyakta nodded but immediately felt a void.
"But..I won't let you, stay there now. You'll be with me,in my,our room. You aren't any guest but a family member."

She frowned her brows with his straight forward statements.

Next day,Siddhant was searching for his wrist watch from past half an hour but in vain he sat down on the bed, giving up. Meanwhile, his humming never stopped,a song of 90's. He, then, decided to wear his socks only since he was there on bed. But as soon as, he forwarded his hands towards his legs, a hand came infront of him holding his watch. Inspecting, his gaze went from the watch then to the person. It was Avyakta. Thanking her,he took his watch.

Avyakta, after giving him a glance, turned to walk out. But soon, she felt a tug on her wrist, something like someone has wrapped its fingers around her wrist, softly. Avyakta looked at Siddhant who was watching her. She eyed him 'what happened?'.
In response, he took some bangles, slowly slipping each one of them into her wrist. Avyakta was quite surprised at his sudden move.

After, doing his work, Siddhant stood up, a charming smile adoring his shiny face. Avyakta had just woke up from a mini shock and both stared at each other.

"You liked them,Avyakta?"
Inching closer to her, he spoke.

Avyakta, still looked at them with much reverence and fondness.
Looking at him, she nodded.

"But..How and when..did...you brought them?"
She asked whispering.

Siddhant smiled and stood more closer to him. He cupped her face with his palm and stared deep into her eyes. His other hand gradually, held her exposed waist in the Saree, losing Avyakta in his touch. His eyes layed deep respect and love for the lady before him.

"When you were..busy..staring at me yesterday. Avyakta.."
He stroked a strand of hair aside from her face.
"I know your love for these bangles..
Your hands looked like a desert  from many days..so a small present from my side..."
A deep expression of Fondness developed inside Avyakta for him. She smiled at him, heartly and thanked him.

"Come..soon..outside..I'm waiting for you.."
Smiling, he left her and was about to walk away, respecting her comfort level but this time he was stopped by her.
Avyakta grew closer and slid her hand from his chest to neck, hugging him, expressing  her deep emotions.
Siddhant stood still, since it was all out of blue. He blinked his eyes twice, thrice and then hugged her back. Their eyes close feeling each other. For the first time, the hug was initiated by Avyakta.

"This is how I used...to hug you..before we step out of house,to go to our respective workplace? Hmm?"
She asked, still residing in each other's embrace.

Veneration and warmth potrayed through his eyes, while gazing at his lady-love. At the corner of his eyes, he had tears. He could reconnect with those old days, when she used to hug him like this. He felt she was back. After many days, he could experience this warmth from her side, which he was missing, terribly.

"Hmm..
How..did..you..know?"
He stammered.

"I was talking with Maa about something.. Meanwhile they brought our topic in between... and slipped her tongue..yesterday and I got to know..something like..this.."
They didn't decide even to get out from each others embrace, until Siddhant's gaze fell on the wall clock.

"Thank you..Avyakta.. I know you did it to make me feel special an-"

"It is my way of thanks,Siddhant and I knew about your state..
I observed you..how you..just got out the room and enter inside again and look at me..then..rejecting your decision you would move out..
This continued few days na?"

"Thank you so much..
My day will be best today!

Mm..I think..we should leave now..
Come soon I'm waiting outside.."
Getting out from their hug, he left the room, with a shy smile and hue on his cheeks. He had happy tears, which he immediately wiped off. He felt beautiful, like really beautiful.

Avyakta, stood there rooted and only looked at his retreating figure. She was observing him from many days. She wanted to make him feel special. But why so? What is this sudden excitement to make this man this happy?  Herself, she was quite amazed at. Leaving all thoughts behind she took her bag and moved out, blushing, smiling and revering her bangles, which kinkled all the way down.
