"I can't believe that you are a prefect now! That is so grown up", Samantha told Lily, while they both had lunch together in the Great Hall, sitting at the Ravenclaw table.

They decided it would be the  safest grounds, because neither of them wanted to sit at each others table. Samantha grabbed some more food and tried to fit most of it into her mouth, which made her look like a hamster.

"How the hell do you eat so much but have such a great figure?", Lily asked laughing while Samantha tried to swallow everything.

"I was asking myself the same thing", a familiar voice appeared behind the two girls, making Samantha choke on her food. She spat everything on her plate and turned as red as Lily's hair. She had never felt this embarrassed, quickly trying to hide the half eaten potato on her plate. Aaron just laughed and sat next to her, getting some food onto his plate as well.

"How are my favorite girls doing? I heard that you became a prefect as well. Just like me, woho." Aaron winked at Lily and gestured his hand towards the metal clip on his robe that read 'Prefect'.

"Lily, is this weirdo bothering you?"

"No, Potter. I don't need zou to help me. Just leave me alone, will you?", Lily responded, rolling her eyes at him.

Samantha got up to be face to face with the jerk. Ever since she had finished the map, they started annoying her brother again, and even worse, her brother tried some of his spells on them as well.
He was one of the brightest students in Hogwarts, but Samantha had to watch as he turned it all into Dark Magic. Only Lily could convince him not to fall into the Dark side completely.

"Come on Lily, let's go to the lake. There is too much ego in this room."

Lily chuckled and got up, but before she linked arms with Samantha , she gave James the death stare.

"What a beautiful day. And you two ladies just make is even better", Severus greeted them when Lily and Samantha arrieved at the lake.

"You are such a charmer, Sev", Lily laughed, sitting next to him.

"Don't mind me." Samantha smiled from ear to ear , seeing these two so close.

"And don't mind us", Sirius said.

The marauders came from the castle. James was sweating a little, because he ran to grab his friends, telling them where Severus was.

"Just leave us alone, Potter", Lily said angrily. She and Severus got up and Samantha grabbed her wand. Either to stop Sev from doing something stupid or to join in, she wasn't sure jet.

"I can't understand what you see in that douche bag. You should date me instead!", James joked, when really, he wasn't joking at all. He had taken a liking in this girl and when he saw her the first time this year, he was sure that it was love. And he would fight for her, no matter how long it took.

Lily rolled her eyes: "Why can't you see that I am not interested in arrongant toerags?"

"Ouch, that hurt my feelings", James said, trying to sound sarcastic.

"Just leave us alone!", Samantha said, but her words only seemed to make James more furious.

"Watch me!", he yelled and took out his wand. Before anyone could react, he said: "Levicorpus!"

Severus shot into the air, his head up side down. It was as if he had been grabbed by the ancle, the other foot was just dangeling in the air, like his arms and hair.

"What's he done to you ? You think you're funny," Lily  said coldly. "But you're just an arrogant, bullying toerag, Potter. Leave him alone."

"I will if you go out with me, Evans," said James quickly. "Go on...Go out with me, and I'll never lay a wand on old Snivelly again.

"No! Of course not! Never! Put him down now!"

"Ha! Snivellus needs a little girl to protect him. And look, your Death Eater friends are coming. What will they think?" , Sirius said, pointing at three men who were coming closer.

Samantha could feel the tension in the air and she prayed to god that her brother would do the right thing and don't let his 'friends' ruin it.

"Snape? What are you hanging upside down for? And why are you with that mudblood again?", one of them asked.

"The mudblood is not protecting me! I can take care of myself!", Sirius shouted and Samantha could see how his words cut deep into Lily. Her face went pale and something shattered behind her eyes.

"How DARE you call her a mudblood? She is a thousand times better than you will ever be!", James shouted, and Samantha had never seen him so angry.

"It's okay,James. I can talk for myself", Lily said, trying her best to hold back the tears.

"This friendship is over, Sev. I can never forgive you again."

She turned around and walked towards the castle. Every step seemed to hurt Severus more than all the humiliation.

James quickly let his enemy down and ran after Lily. Peter and Remus followed him, while Sirius stayed to tell Samantha: " I guess all Slytherins are the same."

He turned around and ran to catch up with his friends. But his words stayed, repeating itself over and over again in Samantha's head.

The Slytherins went to help Severus get up, all of them laughing: "Sev, that was awesome! Did you see how that girl almost cried? Finally you got that mudblood out of your system. And didn't you invent that spell Potter used on you? Shouldn't you be able to reverse it?"

"Just leave me alone", Severus said, grabbing his book and walking away.

"Sev?", Samantha asked, but he ignored her just like his friends who were calling after him.

Samantha shook her head. How could her brother do something like that? Calling Lily a mudblood in front of his friends was possibly the worst action he had ever done. Lily had always defended him in front of his friends and now he proved them right.

"Hey, aren't you Samantha? Do you want to join us a little?", one of the boys said, Samantha believed his name was Avery, but she just ignored them and walked towards the castle as well. What an awful Sunday.

The only though that prevented her from crawling into her bed was the thought of Quidditch practice in an hour.

"But, she is a mudblood", Sky said after Samantha had told her everything.

"Sky! You can't just go around calling people mudbloods. That is offensive!", Samantha said, shocked that her best friend spoke like that. The holidays had changed her, and not in a good way. All she talked about was the adventures of her older brother and how she soon would become a Death Eater as well.

"That indeed is true, but Sam, you are a Syltherin. We are known for being pureblood and doing dark magic. We are the only fun house."

Samantha couldn't believe her friends. She had been spending much time with Lily this summer since they were practically neighbors and she had grown to like her a lot. She was much better at magic than most of the pureblood Slytherins, showing Samantha that all the pureblood myths were bullshit.

"Let's not fight about this anymore", she said instead of telling her friends what she really thought.

"Good idea", Sky responded, gripping her broom tighter. "Although Reg and I are in the right."

"Just leave it, Sky", Regulus said and smiled at Samantha, which made her feel so much better all of a sudden.

"You three! Stop chatting and get your asses over here! This is training and if you don't take it seriously there is no way either of you will play in the upcoming Ravenclaw game!", Emma shouted across the field, making the three of the chuckle.

"She'll let you play anyways, you are the star of the team." Regulus whispered to Samantha after Sky had already left, making the butterflies din her stomach go wild.

Why did I not feel that way when I was on a date with him? I totally ruined my chance at being with him, she though while she flew over to the rest of the team.
