We travel silently in the jet for a large portion of the ride. So when silence occurs, my thoughts speak louder than before. I just keep thinking about my argument with Steve, well it wasn't an argument, it was just me shouting. I can't shake the feeling that he was lying to me. He has never lied to me, not once. Sure, I've lied to him plenty of times and he knows that, he has just never lied to me. Not that he's told me that he hasn't. I just assume that he always tells the truth.

          But maybe I'm wrong about the whole thing and he's telling the truth and that's how he truly feels. Isn't that how all guys think? Not complicated, say what you mean, mean what you say type thing? How am I supposed to know! I'm a woman who over thinks everything. Wait...isn't that what all women do?

          I stop my thoughts from pouring out and just stare at the floor, unblinkingly. I finally blink when I see a pair of feet pass by me. I glance up and see Nat walking over to Banner. The two are quite obviously in love with each other, I'm just not sure they are both aware of it. I smile as the two start talking. That's when Natasha breaks the silence, "Thor report on the hulk!"

"The gates of hell are filled with the screams of his victims!" he thunders.

I stifle a laugh as Thor sees Banners response; his face in his palms, groaning. That's when Nat gives Thor a death stare.

"But not the screams of the dead of course. No no wounded screams, mainly whimpering a great deal of complaining and tales of sprained deltoids and um, gout" Thor speaks, fumbling over his words.

I chuckle slightly and walk over to him, and stand on the right side of Thor, away from Steve, "Words of inspiration by Thor! That should be a book you know" I say.

As I look around, I get a small laugh from the wounded Clint but the others just give me a 'really?' look.

I bite my lip and smile at the floor, slightly embarrassed.

Then Tony calls from the cockpit "Hey Banner, Dr. Cho is on her way from Seoul, mind if she sets up in your lab?"

"Yeah, she knows her way around" Bruce answers.

After that Tony mumbles something inaudible to Jarvis and then says, "Jarvis take the wheel"

"Yes sir. Approach Vector locked"

Tony walks up, stands next to me and leans over the glowing case that houses the sceptre, "Feels good yeah? I mean you've been after this thing since Shield collapsed. Not that I haven't enjoyed our little raiding parties--" Tony gets cut off by Thor.

"No, but this...This brings it to a close" Thor sighs staring into the blue glow of the sceptre.

"As soon as we find out what it's been used for. Since when is Strucker capable of human enhancement?" Steve says.

"Well it seems that Strucker's just gotten more inventive" I add nonchalantly.

Tony smirks and then speaks, "Banner, Dahlia and I will give it the once over before it goes back to Asgard. If that's cool with you?" Thor just shrugs in response to Tony, giving him the go ahead. "Just a few days till the farewell party. You're staying right?" Tony continues.

"Yes, yes of course. A victory should be honoured with revels." Thor says.

I smile at Thor's enthusiasm as Tony speaks again. "Yeah, who doesn't love revels? Captain?" Tony says.

"Hopefully this brings an end to the Chitari and Hydra, so yes, revels" Steve says. As he stops, he glances at me briefly and gives me a look, a look that won't end well, a 'We need to talk' look.

I decide to go back to my seat for the rest of the flight. I don't think I can handle being so close to Steve and not talk to him. The tension is a little too much and a little too obvious. The only thing I hate more than arguments are when people ask about your argument with another person. When we land, Dr. Cho is there with several other Asian woman dressed in hospital attire, ready to wheel Clint out of the jet. The team soon goes their separate ways until only Steve, Tony and I are left.

That's when Maria walks into the jet, a tablet in her hands. I've grown to really love Maria, we've gotten very close and have become extremely good friends.

"Hey Maria, long time no see" I say.

She smiles wide and walks up to me, giving me a tight hug, "Wasn't this your day off?" she asks.

I nod and point to Tony, "The boss won't give me a break!" I say.

Maria shakes her head and places a hand on my shoulder, "At least you won't have to work while Tony has that sceptre in the lab" she whispers in my ear.

I shake my head, "Not true" I whisper back.

Maria shrugs and turns to Tony, "Lab's all set up boss" she says.

"He's the boss." Tony says, pointing to Steve, "I just pay for everything and design everything and make everyone look cooler"

I shake my head at Tony, "Then doesn't that make you the boss?" I ask with a laugh.

Tony just shrugs. But my attention is soon turned towards Steve as he speaks, "What's the word on Strucker?" he asks.

"NATO's got him" Maria informs.

Maria starts to walk off the jet, motioning for Steve to follow. That's when Steve turns to me and mouths the words, 'we need to talk'. I silently nod and follow the two as they continue talking. I stand on the opposite side of Maria, staying as far away from Steve until our 'talk'.

"The two enhanced?" Steve asks.

"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Twins. Orphaned at 10 when a shell collapsed their apartment building. Sokovia's had a rough history, it's no where special but it's on the way to everywhere special." she says, giving me a quite glance and a raised eyebrow. I just shrug and turn away. 

"Their abilities?" Steve says.

Maria continues with all the technical science terms "He's got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Her thing is neurotic interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation..." Steve just looks at Maria likes he's totally lost.

"Maria, Steve doesn't speak science" I remind her.

Maria just rolls her eyes and sums up their powers to Steve in five simple words, "He's fast and she's weird."

Always great to end off a chapter with one of the best lines in the movie! :) Hope you guys like where this is going, if not COMMENT OR PM MEEEE!
