As I was walked on the wet streets when it was still raining, I kept thinking about him. I couldn't stop thinking about him. I was trying to focus on picking my daughter up from the daycare centre and go home. Slowly the rain stopped, I could feel the sun shining on me. I looked it up to see the dark clouds fading away. I smiled seeing the bright sun.

When I arrived at the daycare, I saw little children playing in the daycare while waiting for their parents. They were all laughing and giggling. I wish I could laugh like them. Then, I saw my little Iris yelled "Mom!" then she grabbed her bag and ran towards me hugging me. I felt a slight warmth from her. Her teacher then went up to me and told me about her behaviour and other stuff. Nothing new or bad. She still behaved like how kids her age but in a good way. Then, we left the daycare and went home.

"Mommy?" Iris asked me. "What is it, dear?" I answered her while I was combing my h/l h/c hair in the bathroom. "You went home earlier today. Did you decided to not go to work?" she asked me. "Yes, I did." I answered. "Why?" she asked me again. "I am just tired." I answered smiling at her. Iris then left the bathroom. I stood in front of the mirror checking myself out before cooking dinner.

In the kitchen, I decided to make two bowls of rice for dinner with a side of nori (seaweed). I needed to save money to pay the rent. "Mommy, what are we gonna eat for dinner tonight?" my daughter asked me. "A bowl of rice and seaweed, honey. I don't have enough money to buy more food. Maybe I'll try next month." I said while making dinner. I looked at Iris who was wearing a melancholic expression. Then, she walked away to her room. I felt guilty about not being able to get her favourite food.

Now it was bedtime, I tucked in my daughter. I read her stories and sang some nursery songs to her until she fell asleep. It was kinda hard to put her to sleep. I went to the bathroom to get myself ready to go to sleep. After showering and brushing my teeth, I went to my bedroom and layed myself down on the bed. I couldn't sleep. I just couldn't. The room was dark. The moonlight that shined through my window, I could see the moon very clearly. I stood up from my bed and went to the kitchen. I realized that I had forgotten to take my sleeping pills before going to bed. I took them and drank a glass of water.

I felt so sleepy obviously after I took those pills. I went to my bedroom and fell asleep immediately on my bed.

(3rd person POV)

Y/N woke up and got herself ready to go job-hunting. She took her shower, made toast with cheese for breakfast, woke Iris up and got Iris ready as well. Then, after that, she walked her daughter to drop her off to daycare. After that, she walked around the streets to look for work. She went to a job recruitment centre though they found a suitable job for her. It was a secretary job at an investment bank with a somewhat good pay though. She accepted gracefully and her interview was gonna be held two days later.

She walked out from the building while she was jumping in joy about the job. Then, she decided to go to a convenient store to buy some basic needs in life. While she was looking at one of the aisle, suddenly she saw someone she met a day ago. She walked up to him and patted on his shoulder. "Ack!" he screamed. He turned around to see Y/N smiling at him. "Thank you, Nakajima-kun. I appreciated the umbrella that you lend me yesterday." Y/N said. "Ah sure, no problem..." he said.

For a some reason, she felt her heart beating so fast. She felt like it could burst. "L/N-san, is something wrong?" he asked wearing a confused face. Then, she suddenly snapped her mind. "Kyaa!! Nothing! I was just lost in thought!" she said giving a small chuckle. Atsushi also gave a small chuckle seeing her reaction as a cute one. Y/N's turned red and her heart beats until she felt it would explode. "Ummm.... Nakajima-kun...." Y/N suddenly said his name. "Huh? What is it?" Atsushi asked. "Do you have time for this weekend?" Y/N asked. "Oh yeah, why?" he asked. "Do you wanna go out with me? I mean as a friend!" Y/N said. "Sure. What time?" he asked. "Maybe at 8:00 pm." she answered. "Sure. I am not actually busy anyways." he said to her with a sweet smile.

"Mommy, what are you smiling?" Iris asked her mother who was making dinner. Tonight, they would have chazuke for dinner which was Iris's favourite dish. "Oh, nothing." Y/N said still smiling. After that, her smile started faded away. She was thinking that she was taking a bit too far. Does she like him? She thought to herself that she's trying to make friends with people. Though she was thinking rather negatively. What if Atsushi doesn't like her? What if she messed things up? These questions made her mood suddenly went down.
