Day 2: Part 2

After picking Lorraine from school, Sasha and Caleb headed to Nancy's funeral. There were many people, most of them were Sasha's friends and a few ex - friends too. But their presence didn't matter to Sasha.

The person who was making Sasha feel uncomfortable was her ex - boyfriend Tommy. Sasha held her breath as she saw him walking towards her.

Tommy Grayson and Sasha had a long courtship of 5 years but it wasn't a happy one. Tommy had cheated numerous times on Sasha throughout the years. Finally, Sasha ended all ties with him two years back. She didn't wish to ever see him as it brought back the hurtful memories and anger. But now, he was standing right in front of her. He greeted her and Lorraine.

" Stay away from them, you son of a b___" fumed Caleb.

" Ah! Caleb, you and your manners. Didn't mom teach little Caleb to not to interrupt when other's talk? " grinned Tommy.

And before, Sasha could figure out what was happening, Caleb threw a swift punch on Tommy's face, hurting his nose and lips. Tommy lost his balance and fell but quickly got up and punched Caleb back with the same intensity.

Sasha quickly ran towards Tommy and stopped him before he could hurt Caleb more. As soon as Caleb got up, he tried to punch Tommy but Sasha intervened.

" Stop Caleb!" she shouted at the boy standing in front of her.

Caleb looked around and saw everyone's eyes on them. The sight of his best-friend protecting her ex boyfriend when he only wanted to protect her from him, had him shattered. He took a small step back and nodded at Sasha as he tried to cover the hurtful feeling with a cold expression. He turned and started walking at steady pace which almost seemed like he was running away until he got into his car and broke down.

Sasha couldn't stay anymore at the funeral with people gossiping about what just happened and giving her looks. She took Lorraine's hand and started walking, it took her a few minutes to realize that she did not have her car with her. She stopped and took a deep breath while young Lorraine pressed her sister's hand softly, trying to calm her down.

Just then, somebody placed a hand on her shoulder, she turned to find Tommy looking at her with an apologetic look.

" What do you want?" Sasha asked with a demanding tone.

" I'm sorry for whatever I have done with you and for whatever that happened right now at the funeral."he apologized.

Sasha took a deep breath and just stared at him with a poker face.

" Whatever I did was wrong, I shouldn't have done it here at Nancy's funeral. I feel so sorry for her. I know all this must be hurting you a lot, you cared for her."

Sasha nodded in agreement.

" You don't seem to have a car with you, can I drop you?"

Sasha had no idea how to respond to the offer. If it were just her, she could have walked a few miles to home rather than letting Tommy drop her but she knew walking so much wouldn't be easy for Lorraine. She reluctantly said yes.
