The Arrival
The two pups, Peter and Nikki, kept shoving eachother out the way to look out the window.
"It's my turn!" Nikki whined.
"I've only had a minute!" Peter barked. The siblings continued to bicker with eachother. They were both excited to see something, for they were on a train to their vacation at a dinosaur park called Mesozoic World. Their mother, Myra, was very good friends with one of the workers named Kevin. When summer break started, he offered them a free stay at the park. Peter and Nikki believed they would see a dinosaur from the window.
"Kids, settle down," Myra said, pulling her pups away from the window.
"But we wanna see a dinosaur!" Nikki said.
"You won't see one here," Myra said. "We may be getting close to the park, but they won't have a dinosaur running loose here." Peter and Nikki let out an 'awww' in disappointment. "Don't worry," Myra said. "Kevin told me he's gonna take us to see the indoraptor first." The pups' faces lit up.
"The indoraptor?!" Peter squealed.
"Isn't that the cool hybrid dinosaur?" Nikki asked.
"It is," Myra said. "And you two are gonna see it first thing." The two pups began to squeal with excitement. "You two better give Kevin a big hug and say thank you," Myra said. "He did all this work to give us a free vacation."
"We will!" Peter said. Myra giggled and looked out the window as the train reached its destination: Mesozoic World.
"KEVIN!" Both the pups shouted. The grey dog was waiting at the station for them. He giggled as the two pups came to hug him.
"Woah! Lot of love," Kevin said, smiling.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Nikki squealed.
"Yeah, thank you Kev!" Peter said. "You're the best! Let's go see the dinosaurs now!"
"Alright, alright," Kevin said. "Let's calm down. You gotta head to your hotel first. I already have you guys checked in, so we can head down there now."
"Aww! I wanna see the dinosaurs!" Nikki whined.
"Sweetie, don't complain," Myra said. "Kev did all this work for us. You should be grateful." Nikki flicked her tail and stuck her tongue out at her mother.
"Hey, after we see my dinosaur, I'll take you to get ice cream," Kevin said.
"REALLY?!" Nikki squeaked.
"Kev, don't spoil them," Myra giggled.
"Hey, it's their summer break!" Kevin said. "They deserve to have fun."
"You're no different than when we were in high school," Myra said.
"Well, I can't just push a button and become what I'm not," Kevin said. "Now come on. Hunter's waiting for us."
"Who's Hunter?" Peter asked. Kevin turned to face him.
"You'll see."
